4501  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did receiver recieve his bitcoin? on: October 18, 2021, 03:17:29 AM
Thanks again for all the info.

He is probably trying to screw me over then, so I guess it's a lesson learned.
Anyway, I have called him out now, so I will see what he is saying when he comes online later.

He probably knows that you don't have much knowledge of how transactions work?

Precisely with bitcoin transactions, the public ledger that is the blockchain is an unquestionable way to verify whether a transaction has occurred or not.
4502  Economy / Reputation / Re: Do you think Lightlord behavior is acceptable? on: October 18, 2021, 03:12:48 AM
This is the first time I let a thread opened by me continue without locking it after page 5 because I see that there is meaningful discussion.

In this case I want to bring here a quote that I found interesting from the bitvest official thread:

Checking in here after a time. And happy to see owner's responded and paid up what's owed, but yeah, he really needs to do something about hot wallet OR get the manuals approved quicker.

I haven't had problems since the last time I posted in here some months ago though. This week requested 11 LTC and a significant sum of BTC. Both were processed immediately, so I guess hot wallet was working then.

There're already so few places left to invest in a casino bankroll. Would be a great shame if this site didn't continue to succeed.

Let's see if the problems with withdrawals also end.
4503  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your opinion on recent bull market, will it be over soon? on: October 18, 2021, 03:06:03 AM
It's not quite clear what the OP meant by "soon", and since he hasn't logged on to the forum in a while, I don't think it's worth asking him.

All indications are that we are going to be bullish until December. So say the predictive models that are discussed in the forum and that are based on a similarity of price behavior in the cycles. Some say that this time it could be different and the bull market could be extended until 2022 or that maybe we will enter a different situation from 2022 onwards without major declines due to institutional demand.
4504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy vs. anonymity on: October 18, 2021, 02:52:40 AM
Can't wait to see what o_e_l_e_o has to say on this matter.

Interesting. In my case, I do not aspire to anonymity. I think it's a matter of balance and being a bit cautious to achieve a high degree of privacy. That it is not a thing easily ascertainable if you have Bitcoin and how much you have, especially for criminals.

In the case of absolute anonymity, moreover, I think that whoever gets it will surely be in illegality, because it is incompatible absolute anonymity and paying taxes to your government for the transactions in Bitcoin you do.
4505  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 17, 2021, 03:54:39 PM
60.5-61k is the new….

Consolidation, I'd say.

As long as 60k hold the move will be only to go up. Target is new all time high, it's not hard to see this.

It's either November, December or January, Take your time ₿.

Indeed…. Though January is a little far from here perhaps

WTF? I'm thinking next week.
4506  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon musk now the richest man in earth on: October 17, 2021, 03:53:28 PM
It's primarily based on Tesla stock, so his fortune is tied very much to what Tesla's stock price does.

Many people do not understand this. It is thought that a rich person who has 5 billion net worth, has them as cash, and the truth is that if he has them mostly in shares, and tried to sell them massively, it would cause a considerable drop in the share price, and he would have to pay taxes, so he would have much less. But well, having that wealth ensures him a high lifestyle, even if he is short of cash, as Elon likes to go, the banks welcome him with open arms and give him plenty of loans.

4507  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: LoyceV's Beginners guide to correct use of the Trust system on: October 17, 2021, 11:33:38 AM
-snip

Hi LoyceV. This is just to say that I'm so grateful, I am learning so much thanks to your posts and also to your detailed answers to my questions that I think that I am becoming a better forum member every day partly thanks to you. I think it all started when you helped me to rank up, which gave me a boost in my self-esteem.

From now on I think I will think a lot about leaving positive feedback if it's not for a trade. In the meantime, I'll keep an eye on how others leave their feedbacks and follow up on them.

Call me paranoid, but to me bunch of those little loans look more like a trust farm attempts rather than a real need.

I guess it is a strategy they are trying but do you think people with experience, for example DarkStar, are going to fall into that trap?
4508  Economy / Reputation / Re: Do you think Lightlord behavior is acceptable? on: October 17, 2021, 07:16:19 AM
Today the guy that didn't receive his winnings posted this screenshot, I'm at loss for words...

He doesn't pay the mods at all.

But let's see, I don't understand it that way, although I recognize that it's a little strange. I quote what I posted in the other thread:

It is not clear to me, first he says: "we aren't paid to be mods here" and in the following comment he says: "...we get paid by the site". I don't know if they are paid in another capacity and not as moderators. In any case it is strange.
4509  Economy / Reputation / Re: [POLL] Do you find CryptopreneurBrainboss lying about his story. on: October 17, 2021, 07:09:51 AM
I looked at that link, and maybe I'm missing it, but I don't see a post made by queenvera.  Similarly, I don't know where the thread is where CryptopreneurBrainboss changed the Satoshidice.io escrow address from 19xMwMtNEv5iaEpxSjA85uHuB9iKoUVDKu to 1NVG4YK77hTDMahADQCG78gwA7TKgNE3n8.  Is the original post archived, and if it is did I somehow miss the link?

The ninjastic link shows both original posts. I don't see how this proves anything.

I can't see a Queenvera post in either of them, not even in the ninjastic one.

The OP is not very reliable as far as I can see. He has only earned 4 merits in all his time on the forum (the other 250 were airdropped) and promotes a scam site to make money. If we then add that he posts some supposed proofs that are not such, I find this laughable.
4510  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitvest / lightlord on: October 17, 2021, 07:00:53 AM
What the fuck? He's not even paying the mods on a site that rakes in profits??

That's outrageous!

It looks fucking weird.

It is not clear to me, first he says: "we aren't paid to be mods here" and in the following comment he says: "...we get paid by the site". I don't know if they are paid in another capacity and not as moderators. In any case it is strange.
4511  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: LoyceV's Beginners guide to correct use of the Trust system on: October 17, 2021, 06:43:10 AM
This one strikes me as odd:
Quote
I trust him to make deals with because without knowing me at all, has designed me an avatar in a totally disinterested way and without asking for anything in return.

What do you think about it?
It doesn't make sense to me to trust someone in a deal that hasn't happened yet, just because he made an avatar. For the record: I have no reason not to trust xhomerx10.

It is clear to me that here we are specifically talking about whether the feedback is well placed, not whether we like him or he is a good guy.

In this case I think I have a good reason to give him positive feedback but maybe I will have to change it because it is not well explained. And if you see it as given lightly, surely others do too.

Actually, with xhomerx10 there was something more like a deal than with the others. He made me the avatar without asking for anything in return, but when he finished I sent him a tip.

So, the relevant question is:

If I can trust that he is going to do a job for free, won't it be logical to trust him also if we make a previous economic deal?

Surely for you to make an avatar will be something easy, but for me it is not. Before contacting him I was trying to edit and I got some changes, but not what I wanted. When I contacted him, I asked him if he charged anything for making the avatars and he told me that he didn't, and that he made them for WO gang members, and in some cases for other members as well.

I told him that I occasionally wrote in the WO and he agreed to do it for me. When he finished, I thought I would send him a tip, and when I received the outstanding payment from Lightlord, I did.

I really appreciate it when a person who doesn't know me at all offers to do work for me for free. And if tomorrow, let's say I have a website and I want him to design the cover. He tells me he's going to charge me $100.

If he did the job when he didn't know me at all and for free, I won't trust him to do it for me if I pay him?

I think so, and that's why I left the feedback.

Another doubt I have is regarding neutral feedbacks, I have seen that people leave neutral feedback, even when there has been monetary exchange and you also mentioned something about it in another post. I don't quite understand it, isn't trust feedback supposed to be precisely for that? If you make exchanges with money involved, and they go well, I understand that the feedback should be positive.

Something else: I've seen my updated trust list in Loyce.club and 1miau still distrust my list but I think he distrusted it when my dog deleted all people that was in my previous list. People like 1miau are supposed to review this? Or maybe if I see it's been a while I can send him a PM to see if he wants to check the new list?

For $200, sure, but for larger amounts: being a scam fighter doesn't mean much. I've seen "scam fighters" turn into scammers the moment they had the chance. There's one in particular I have in mind, I think he defaulted on a several Bitcoin loan, but I can't remember his name (and I searched for a long time).

As the saying goes: "the opportunity makes the thief".

As you go up in quantity, no matter who you make deals with, it is wise to take security measures. I could probably get a non-collateralized loan for $200 on the forum, but if I ask for $20,000, I will likely be asked to leave some kind of collateral such as a shitcoin as collateral, no matter how good a reputation I may have.
4512  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: LoyceV's Beginners guide to correct use of the Trust system on: October 16, 2021, 07:24:01 AM
seems to me that I will have to rethink and maybe delete or modify some feedbacks I had left.

I've been reviewing feedbacks and I think I'm going to leave them as they are. The negative ones I have clear, and the positive ones, although they are more subjective and not related to having traded, are to people I would trust to make a deal with.

For example, I have two positive feedbacks to Rikafip and lovesmayfamilis for being scam and spam fighters. To me that fact gives me confidence if I were to trade money with them. I wouldn't put all my net worth blindly in their hands but if I had to do a small deal, let's say exchange $100-200 Bitcoin for some shitcoin with lovesmayfamilis I would send him the money first with my eyes closed. The same as for xhomerx10, JayJuanGee etc.

What do you think about it?

Btw, I visited loyce.club to see if the trust had been updated (I see it hasn't yet) but I have to tell you that I find it a bit difficult to navigate. Once you go into the folder, can you search for users with any command or do you have to go through them one by one until you find the one you want?

I don't know if you have somewhere an explanation about loyce.club for dummies. Are they ftp files?
4513  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitvest / lightlord on: October 16, 2021, 07:07:57 AM
I wouldn't take the other side of that bet, sadly.  But I think that's the only explanation for why the hot wallet would continue to be empty.  Knowing that, why on earth would anyone continue to play on a site run like that?  Maybe some of Bitvest's clientele could answer that for me.

I don't know if any of them will come this thread, but I'll tell you what I think.

The problems are only with large withdrawals, and the complaints are buried in a thread of more than 200 pages in the gambling section, so they have appeared from time to time and end up hidden by other comments of people who write to meet their post quota. It is only now after the problem of the delay in the payment of the signature campaigns was added to the problem that people have started to tie things up. The first time I saw an accusation about this I didn't believe him because he was a member with negative trust, but after one accusation, and another, and another... added to the delay in the payment of the sig campaigns, you end up believing what they say.

The point is that many people don't know what's going on and all they know is that these are casinos that are very old, that are advertised on the forum and that Lightlord (until recently) had a good reputation. I guess now things are changing.
4514  Economy / Reputation / Re: Do you think Lightlord behavior is acceptable? on: October 16, 2021, 06:58:24 AM
Question for CryptopreneurBrainboss: Once the campaigns begin, can you post here how many people left because of the late payments? I don't expect many of them to have left, and in that case I assume they don't consider lightlord to be high risk.

High risk doesn't necessarily mean that it's not worth the risk for some. Granted the payouts are not large, but some users are getting bonuses, and some have nowhere else to go.

Would you join one of lightlord's campaigns?

By the way, in this regard and expanding on what I was saying before, I remembered that in a post I mentioned both of you. friends1980 wrote a long post in the signature campaign thread criticizing several participants for shitposters. The post was quite long and reasoned, and criticized the manager:

The sad truth is, this manager, as many other managers, couldn't care less about the posting quality of his participants...

I, believing him to be somewhat right, also responded to him in detail, among other things the following:

Brainboss has its standards regarding quality that need not be the same as yours. I have seen sometimes in the spreadsheet a note: "improve post quality" with which I understand that he has given a warning to the person in particular and if you go to page 135 of the spreadsheet you can see that Lewan was removed for low quality.
...
How would you manage a campaign that pays like $0,07 per post for the lowest tier? It is clear that LoyceV, suchmoon etc. will not apply for this campaign. You will have to try to get them to a certain quality, but you can't ask for much, and I think Brainboss is doing well.

When I was in the campaign, there was a minimum requirement to have earned 5 merits in the previous 120 days but since Lighlord lowered the rates, many participants left the campaign and the requirement changed:

No minimum merits, constructive/decent posts history required.

So, I don't think we can take the fact of whether or not the current participants leave the campaign as a reference for Lightlord's trust.

High risk doesn't necessarily mean that it's not worth the risk for some. Granted the payouts are not large, but some users are getting bonuses, and some have nowhere else to go.

Would you join one of lightlord's campaigns?

Some would not be accepted in other campaigns, as they themselves admit:

Yeah, I think it's not good to pause the campaign right now, that's the right thing to do especially with no other signature campaigns that will accept everyone especially those that have a high standard even though they don't pay that much.

I don't think it is expressed very well but the idea is clear.

If they don't have much hope of getting paid for writing for another campaign, they will usually put up with irregularities in payments, lack of communication and whatever else. The 777coin and Bitvest.io campaigns have been accused several times of being full of shitposters. I wouldn't say as much, but it's clear that campaigns that pay 150 per post in the lowest tier are not going to be full of top quality posters.

For my part, I don't know if LoyceV is saying that we should change the feedbacks if people don't have left, but I'm going to wait for a while to see if

1) People keep complaining about the withdrawals problem. Just today we have another complaint although no proof at the moment.

2) This doesn't happen again:
The payment periods used to be much shorter but they gradually kept making them longer.
4516  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitvest / lightlord on: October 16, 2021, 03:22:18 AM
This makes me wonder if any other users of Bitvest are having withdrawal issues that might be related to lightlord's alleged illness-

The problems with the retreats go back a long way and have nothing to do with Lightlord's alleged illness (when I say alleged, it's not that I believe it or not, it's that I have no way of verifying it).

This is something that is commented on a lot in the bitvest thread. In the end people end up getting paid, but we are in the same situation as with the signature campaigns, people request a withdrawal and it can take weeks to get the money:

These are all comments from the last page in the official bitvest.io thread:

...what's important on this thread is the hot wallet of bitvest and that should be the main concern ....

I am also looking for what actually happened to the hotwallet issue but no one seems talking about it...
(This is actually a laugh because there has been a lot of talk about it in the thread, the only thing that has been covered up by people talking about the signature campaign in that thread.)

even a loyal customer will get frustrated if they are waiting for weeks to get their withdrawal to be processed.

The main problem of the hot wallet is basically similar to the campaign issue. When the hot wallet is empty, lightlord seems to be very slow in refilling it so players have to wait for weeks before withdrawal is processed.

But hot wallet and the campaign payments can't be considered as same priority thing, I agree that everyone who is working with their campaign should get paid on time but it has very simple solution just let the campaign manager himself to proceed the payments weekly but handling the hot wallet can be tricky if he is busy amd still don't want to trust anyone.

In my opinion, hot wallet should be the first priority as it is related to their players who are their customers. They may lose their players based if the hot wallet issue is happening really often. As I said in other thread, lightlord should use an escrow for the campaign and trust the escrow to do everything related to the campaign so he can have more time to handle the casino.

If so, there's no way a gaming site should depend on a single person, but I didn't think Bitvest was run that way (not that I gave it much thought, not having used the site myself).

I would bet that that is how it is run
4517  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitvest / lightlord on: October 16, 2021, 02:05:23 AM
It sounds plausible to me, as there have been many complaints about delays in withdrawals and an absolute lack of communication in the official Bitvest.io thread, but if you want your accusation to be credible you have to post what you said in the other thread:

I absolutely do have evidence , far more than enough to make the accusation.
4518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the most popular bitcoin-only poker sites? on: October 16, 2021, 01:00:06 AM
Other major casinos have to invest in poker rooms and make gambler aware they are investing a lot here.Their ROI will be blazing fast as a lot of people nowadays prefer skill games compared to luck ones.I want to see this list go up to number 20 at least.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Poker is not a very profitable game for casinos, both live and online, so I don't see why you say they have to invest. Because you would like there to be more offer, I guess. But casinos look for what is most profitable for them, not what you would like. Aside from that, the poker market has been shrinking for years. It experienced a boom in 2003 and had its period of expansion, but I would say that from black friday in 2011 and the massive regulations began a period of contraction that continues to this day. This is another reason for casinos not to invest in poker. Why invest in something that has less and less customers?
4519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ***BREAKING *** Bitcoin ETF is approved on: October 16, 2021, 12:50:58 AM
We still don't know what it will bring to Bitcoin,

Well, The point is that certain institutions that cannot buy Bitcoin directly due to regulatory issues or have difficulty doing so, have it much easier with the Bitcoin ETF, which is expected to bring a wall of money to the Bitcoin market.

Although it is a futures ETF, but with this a pure Bitcoin-based ETF is closer. These is a previous small step.

Bloomberg posted an article about this. Although we may not need ETF to go up to $64K, the institutions are positive about it.

We may not need it but we'll get there much faster.
4520  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can anyone help explain Bitcoin to me? on: October 16, 2021, 12:43:15 AM
I don't know if you are going to have much success with what you are asking for. In the age of the Internet, being able to put in a search engine: "What is Bitcoin?" you ask us to do the work for you. This is a Bitcoin forum and you can learn a lot but people are not going to put in the effort for you.

If you look up the information yourself, and after reading it you have questions, we will be happy to help you. The Beginners and Help section is for that.
