Everyone knows EXACTLY what this is...  Tread carefully.

This reminds me of SVC (Sovereigncoin).  It's actually scary how similar the two are.

Why would you sell real gems for a cryptocurrency? Are you just that good of a person? That kind?  That generous?

I'm sure the vendors will end up getting USD in the end. Also, gemstones are not a commodity. They are a luxury item. In reality, the markup is rather high, especially on diamonds due to a certain cartel. Ever wonder how your local jewelry shop can regularly have clearance "sales" at 50-70% off? They aren't selling at a loss.  Cheesy Also, diamonds really are not that rare. If they were, you wouldn't be able to procure one at Wal-Mart.

That is the biggest bunch of Hogwash I have heard in a while.  I am sure you know better than the statements above.  I have seen multiple post here that say diamonds have a high markup price, untrue for fine diamonds.  Your statements are misleading or ignorant.

Look at the image below:
-You are right saying that diamonds are not rare - except only 15% of all the mined diamonds are worthy of even a lowly I3 grade.  Meaning 85% of mined diamonds are better suited to make drill bits.

-Of the remaining 15% - Half are I1-I3 - These are the "Mark Up" diamonds that you see at Walmart -

- Now we are left with about 7% of the diamonds and those diamonds make up the "Nice Diamonds" from Flawless to SI2 - They typically sell from the diamond cutters etc to the diamond dealers for about 60% of Rap and then to the stores and jewelers for about 70% of Rap.  The store then marks them up to about 80%-100% of Rap.  That only goes for the SI stuff and below.  If you have a D,E,F color and VS or better clarity then there will be a premium of 10% to way up for a Flawless D color diamond.

Then the cut and flourescence come into play.  Rap is based on Brilliant/Ideal cut and you subtract for a lesser cut and subtract for fluorescence.

Obviously these statements are valid for a GIA graded stone and to a lesser degree EGL-USA.

etc. etc etc.

I challenge you to find a 1 ct -  VVS - D colored diamond marked off 75% at your local Walmart - What I see in the list are high quality stones (for the most part) and the price of those stones is extremely predictable - for comparison purposes you can refer to Rap or Bluenile.com for accurate pricing - and use that to judge how the stones are priced when the store opens.

Lastly - If you want to go out and by your wife (or did go out and buy your wife) a 2 carat I2 stone and are pissed off you cannot sell it on Craigslist for what you paid for it - you probably did get ripped off and maybe you need to do more research next time and buy a stone in the top 7% and not the bottom 93%.

I only see one diamond in the list with VVS quality and it is at the bottom of the list. Furthermore, it is I color which isn't bad, but certainly not the best. Also, given the specs of these stones, I doubt anyone is going to be successfully buying a substantial portion of the BitStone supply to obtain one. If the store succeeds, the majority of the sales are going to be smaller, lower quality stones with a high markup. Tongue
Quite frankly, diamonds don't impress me much at all. I think they are way overpriced. Even the Hope diamond didn't impress me because the dark blue severely hampered the brilliant fire that diamonds are so famous for. If I want a stone that has a decent hardness for everyday wear and high dispersion, I'll go with Moissanite and save my pocketbook a bundle.

Hello BitStone Community,

I would like to take the time to communicate a few points that may be of some interest to you all.

The BitStone team wishes to make the distinction that we are hosting the store and payment gateway, but we are not the vendors by any means.

We currently have multiple vendors and we are actively looking for the ones with the best prices.

Please note that our gemstone vendor has tons of different stones, but listing all the types will be done when it is announced.

Here is a sneak peak of one of our vendors inventory - 1.54 - 3.12 CT selections.

Lastly the only thing we are selling will be the "BitStone Appreciation sales".

Any other questions, comments, or concerns...please voice them here.

Thank You,

BitStoneDev

Wow, some of these stones by themselves could easily approach the current marketcap on this coin, retail.
4504  Economy / Exchanges / Re: C-CEX.com - Fast and Easy to Use CryptoCurrency EXchange (BTC / USD). 100+ coins on: November 27, 2015, 06:32:38 PM
Good decision. You should add more coins for removal from your exchange.
Still to many coins anyway.

We are not happy with removal, but it has no sense to keep up server power for coins which do not bring any fee for us. We are trying to be more selective in adding good coins only which has traders and miners interest.

That will be a tall order. A coin that is all the rage one moment, can have interest fall off dramatically within a week or two. I thought that your niche was to list newer coins. If you change your strategy and only list established coins, I think you will have a hard time competing against Polo and Bittrex.

Another Bob, Gekko and co. play?

I'm shocked.

Different set of players. See original thread when they finally decided not to launch this in the summer.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1088486.0

I'm surprised the paycoin haters haven't shown up in force, yet, on this thread. Cheesy
I think Bob only made a cameo here. However, the recent dump is his style.

Yup, sell all your coins, it's over  Grin

Low buy support it's good at this moment. We need to get rid of short-term players like a Bones261 Tongue

nice call! we have to shake the tree a little always.

Keep shaking the tree. Need more apples to fall into my bids. Kiss

You can't get rid of me that easy. Someone dumped into my bids while I slept. Now, I basically have free coins to play the market with. Cheesy

not much of a road map... forget the basic rule? where when how...  Undecided Undecided

how will it help holders of this coin? etc...

Lol, are you slow?

am i? what dose the "road map " tell you?

explain to me im slow  Grin

Basically, they are promising that this coin will get to be used to buy medallions made of gold and silver and to buy luxury goods. The standard mark up on loose gemstones and jewelry is rather high. They may be able to make a go out of it. The project may have a better chance if they get involved in costume jewelry as well. The mark up on that is even more ridiculous. Almost as high as a soft drink at a restaurant.
4509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitStone - (BST) - NO PREMINE / ICO - FULL POS - BITTREX [OFFICIAL THREAD] on: November 27, 2015, 04:14:36 AM
i  think that a lot of people will NOT  sell their BST and wait for the online store

Thats what I think too. Wait until people start getting their orders and taking pictures and posting them in the thread that the operation is legit. Then things will get loco I think.

I would have been more prone to bag hold if the roadmap applied more to my tastes. Gold, silver, diamonds, rubies, emeralds and sapphires are very nice. However, I want rocks that are more unusual to add to my collection. Of course, my tastes in rocks are probably too rare to mass market. There is not enough rhodochrosite and color change garnet to make a large market.
If I see that one of the merchants who eventually excepts this coin caters to the very rare and exotic, I may just be one of the people purchasing this coin, in the future, to use.

I have a question.

Are we going to the moon?

Cheesy

I already made my 300% profit on this. I am satisfied ATM. Might turn to regret if I see this take flight. However, I don't think many whales or any pump groups are involved in this coin ATM. Volume seems rather paltry for that.

Why did you sell everything at 300% Get your BTC invested out and save your "free" coins for the ride. Rookie mistake man. You aren't buying back in for cheaper than you sold. Might as well just buy back in now.

I already got 500 coins back for cheaper.  Wink  I'm very patient and can wait to get more back. This coin needs buy support anyway, right?

I think we should run this as an ICO on Yobit and C-Cex concurrently. The Dev will also secretly have the private key for any burn address used.

I wish that was the plan that I followed. But I was hoping to accumulate on the swing.

DEV new coin? What about the other coins (CGN,1337)?
please notice : this is just a joke .. not a serious coin Announce !!
4515  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PONZI] PonziCoin more infos soon :-) on: November 26, 2015, 07:56:32 PM
bitcointalk deleted my thread / Ann for BlackHole coin in the past ...
they dont like my Coin logo which Show 3 Black Hookers on the splashscreen....

it seems that this wasnt so much funny like i think

If they delete the thread, we can just do a twitter campaign. Twitter doesn't censor much. Maybe we can get Vindyne8 involved.

When is ICO?

searching for Team members , maybe you, SpenderBit and Igspots

lol, that's a winning lineup right there, what could possibly go wrong  Grin

i should contact the Developer from the last 15 ICO`s on yobit . maybe they can give us some tips
what we should not do , or better to avoid the same Fails like they did b4 ^^

please notice  : !!  Joke !!

but i was happy that the ppl stop bitching around

Coin needs some vaporware to make it interesting. Promise algo that cannot be penetrated by Quantum computing. Perhaps promise Trojan kit so holders can earn BTC with custom version of Cryptowall.

Hope the bar sale doesn't start when I'm sleeping or at work. The 40 bars could disappear in a few minutes. Shocked

Whales are preparing for a big pump and trying to catch some fish. If they buy at price 15-20k satoshi, propably next stop will be at 30-40k sat Smiley

Well, let's see what the white paper has to offer. If estate goods are also on the table, especially with big names like Cartier, Rolex & Tiffany's, then I'll just have to go all in at any price. Otherwise, I'll think about it.

Good to see a good amount of movement on the market.

Especially when BTC market is on the rise again. Most alts are taking a beating. Last night someone dumped to 1 sat above my bid to get back in. Looks like I'll have to pay a weak hand tax if I want back in.  Angry

Oops, I just lost my bag. Looks like I parachuted before this moonshot reached the stratosphere. I'll be back, depending on what rocks will be available for BitStone. Someone could be nice and let me buy back in for cheap. Wink
