On the ethereum forum someone already has the 480. It hashes at 24MH/s using Claymore and uses 200watts from the wall.
well that is really bad, i don't know what is all the deal with this 480 when a 1070 is vastly better seriously but it's ok less demand on the 1070 i guess I didnt measure with power meter but i dont think its 200w - if its total system consumption still should be a bit less but depends on the system and power supply - is it with claymore single eth or with decred? even at 140w is really bad versus a thing that can do 37MH with the same wattage, and they are not sold at $200 like many believe, they are already at $250 due to demand and probably more btw did you tried the 1070 with the fix for windows 10?

Amph, Has anyone else you know of setup the GTX 1070 like this and been able to validate these numbers? I would love to see some data from people who have done this to see how it all shapes up. Love to see some temps. Sounds like he is pushing these cards pretty hard. like you i'm waiting for the update from that thread, unfortunately i don't have a 1070 yet, i'm waiting for g1 gaming to be available at a better price, not 550 or more, which is expensive

can you add copy paste to the new version, really annoying to write down everything, or maybe i'm missing
Yeah, have not had any problems with that myself using Ctrl + C to copy and Ctrl + V to paste. ok, is the default port changed for the last version, cudaminer is not working with it, getting a http error

|
|
i really don't understand the rate just, aren't your website all in bitcoin, what should change if bitcoin is worth 500 or 10k, the revenue in bitcoin from what we are advertising should always be the same because it is in bitcoin and not in fiat...
anyway the day of the reset was due 27 of this month, so two days missed already(not counting this one)

so again there is no real guide for nvidia mining? all i get when running the miner two times is 100% cpu utilization and because of that i can not add another instances for mining on the other gpu, how to solve this?
using the cuda miner for sia i get http error 404-refer to api.md, is this about incorrect port used?
edit...solved everything alone

so no copy past in the last version seriously?

mining in solo with sia gpu miner result in 100% cpu utilization, after the second instance, i'm missing something maybe on how to mine with multiple gpu?

prolly something that is minable and has a new algo and some nice features, all the ico shit will not skyrocket, ethereum in fact was minable, also it need to be sorrounded by a certain amount of hype...
for now i don't see anything... i doubt it can be something we already know, but vcash, decred and spreadcoin are good canditate, if that is the case..., but in the end...i guess it might be something that still need to be created....
mmh, now that i think about it zerocash is a good option, new algo, no shitty ico, new features etc...it might be zerocash

yes and it does 222MH, which is almost 2 eth? no... so what's your point? aside form this it was 132-135w at 80w each nano, which is 480 plus system, here we have 222MH at 840w plus system
Hey Amph, I modified that rom even more, it's 140Mh or 23.5Mh per card at the same rate(wattage). Further, you said, and i quote with pascal we can kill the diff for another month or two, so no need to worry
1 rig full of 6 x 1070 is currently earning 0.037 a day, and consume only 900w or less which is better than anything else at the moment I guess you miss typed there? 0.037 eth per day is nothing.. to get that you would need only 5Mh.. So yeah, you must have miss typed ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Anyhow, 222Mh for a 6x 1070 rig? That's around 37Mh per card. It "could" be true, but i seriously doubt it.. haven't seen any proof of that on any forums.. But again, i could be wrong. Btw, especially when only using -900watt.. if that would be true, those 1070 would already be sold out until the end of the year.. Greetings ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) i think the nano is just a special case, it's really impressive that it can perform so well, but remember that there are other profitable algorithm, and i dobut you can do so well outside of ethereum? what about neoscrypt or lyra2v2 with the nano? that earning is in bitcoin, not ethereum, i forgot to say 0.037 btc here the proof http://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/7780/gtx1070-linux-installation-and-mining-clue-goodbye-amd-welcome-nvidia-for-miners#latestyes you can say "i don't believe it" but why he should lie? you think that he is pro nvidia, he don't care, everyone here is for the profit, also it make no sense for him to post such a guide and lie shamelessly he say that you can even push it even farther than 37, a little bit more i also contacted him and he tweaked and fixed the instability problem, so it's possible to have it stable at those rate

Any proof for these claims? Last I saw was 200MH per 6 cards with absurd overclock. How long will these cards survive?
those are new gpu, they can sustain higher overclock, check about the possibility with pascal they can be pushed easily to 1800 core and more the same for amd 480x the proof is one guy doing it in the ethereum(complete guide and anything) forum under linux only for the moment, but soon it should be possible under windows

Dunno why the excitement but a Nano is cheaper Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 G1 Gaming 483 EURO (cheapest one i could find) vs Asus R9 Nano White 481 EURo (also cheapest one i could find) and! consumes less.. one 6x Nano rig at 140Mh (ethereum) consumes 2.4A or 528watt.. $13.78 per day or 1.07 eth.. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) yes and it does 222MH, which is almost 2 eth? no... so what's your point? aside form this it was 132-135w at 80w each nano, which is 480 plus system, here we have 222MH at 840w plus system

What algo is that? was on etheruem, now it is dumped, so it might be around 0.033

BTW, they contacted me to help them, looks like they are building a really very large farm.
how large? Really large ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) It's a reason why we are looking for a high level professional. Every percent of power is significant. profit is tanking and you are taking the idea now to build a 1000 gpu farm(this is what i call very large)? i think it's risky

the maximum coins produced by the network is 14400, because of the 2.5 block time and 25 block reward
so it's pointless to keep adding too many giga, just to steal few coin from those with 200-300 mega...

I mean, I would take my decision (and solicit opinions for the decision) in private, not in public. Basically, I hope you're posting this through some IP anonymising service, because otherwise, you're kind of leaking more information about your BTC holdings than I would consider wise. I use anonymising services to login to bitcointalk.org, and I still don't reveal my BTC holdings (past, present or future) on this forum. Bear in mind that other people might copy your behaviour without taking precautions, you wouldn't want that, would you?
so bill gates should have been robbed and murdered already? i don't think someone care if you have 100 btc or 1000 btc, many people have much more money than that and they are well known, i mean 65k is a joke....

you can not overclock them with that heatsink, that thing is pure trash, is sitting at 89°, will blow your card on the long run, better to wait for custom design as usual, which would mean paying more than $200
I bet i can overclock the card with that heatsink without any problem. I got over 70 Reference 7950 here with the " small heatsink". They r all running at 1150 core and 1500 mem on ETH over 6 month without any problem. The room temp ist around 30 Celsius = 86 F. All card running @75-80 Celsius. So @ Fanboy Amph u talking to much shit. Just go and play with ur Nvidia toys. sure i'm the one talking shit, when as usual who respond to me don't know jack shit, read this and do a favor to yourself http://forum.ethereum.org/discussion/7952/rx-480-shit-heatsink-alert#latestbecause no, your betting on this has zero way to succeed, since you are utterly and absolutely wrong on this matter, they have super shitty heatsink at the moment i'm costantly investigating on the best future gpu rig for the time being, and you think you have a clue on what i'm saying? nvidia at the moment is better deal with it, talking about the 1070 of course
