4542  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do people understand what market cap is? on: December 09, 2020, 10:14:26 AM
If I am not wrong then its very simple if you want to check value of company then we have to check its cap because this will help us about company size and value even its not enough but I can hope now you understand what is market cap.
I mean lets say a coin has emitted 1 billion coins and people say each coin will be worth $500 dollars that gives that coin a $500 billion market cap which makes no sense

To talk about the total capitalization, it will not be enough to say that the coin is worth $500. It is necessary that in addition to offering a coin at this price, there is also a demand for it. Otherwise, there will be a situation where you set the price of a coin at $ 500, but no one is buying it at that price.
4543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could There Be One World Digital Currency? on: December 09, 2020, 09:43:58 AM
How can a country's budget be accepted and distributed using cryptocurrency? Such a budget can only be accepted in the national currency or the national digital currency, which must be centralized. And in case of insufficient funds to fulfill the expenditure part, a decision is made on the issue of money.
4544  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Could There Be One World Digital Currency? on: December 08, 2020, 03:36:21 PM
There will never be a single world currency unless it can somehow be fragmented so that China, USA and all the other large powers will be able to choose their own rules. Unless that happens, China will never allow an American CBDC to dominate the world and vice-versa. They either all have the control handle or the party crashes.
...

I am sure that nothing will change when China fully launches its digital yuan and it will not be able to affect the dollar in any way. In any case, the digital dollar will inherit the leading role of the dollar when it is released. While the digital yuan will inherit all the disadvantages of a centralized management system.
4545  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best trusted exchange for trading Altcoins with no KYC? on: December 08, 2020, 10:08:40 AM
Binance is a big exchange and it is perfect to trade altcoins on Binance. They have many pairs for altcoins and many types of trades. The exchange don't ask KYC if you don't want to withdraw more than 2 BTC each day.
...

You need to be prepared for the fact that the exchange will request verification if it finds your actions suspicious. I know many such examples that have been discussed on the forums and in specialized chat rooms. And this applies not only to the Binance exchange, as a rule, this point of the rules is provided for on all exchanges.

4547  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP Rallied by 91% In The Last Month on: December 07, 2020, 10:17:42 AM
because there is an Airdrop Flare for XRP holders, so currently investors are buying XRP to get Token Flare, maybe after the token flare is distributed to XRP holders, the XRP price will likely decrease

The upcoming airdrop of an unknown coin can't change the price of XRP that much. I do not rule out the possibility that XRP is waiting for a dump on the eve of the airdrop scheduled for December 12. The market always goes against the crowd, so all those who specifically bought a coin to participate in airdrop can get a loss.

4549  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake 50.000 ETH Giveaway by Fake Vitalik Buterin on: December 06, 2020, 11:19:47 AM
In the Wake of the hype associated with the launch of the Ethereum-2 network, scammers are trying to get Ethereum from inexperienced investors. Scammers offer to double your coins in just 24 hours, which is a typical Ponzi scheme. I hope that investors understand that this is a scam and will not send their money to scammers.

0xAEd44Ccb06eD816C99c13E6E0b2EB48557Fc50F5 already received 5 eth from two address Cry

By the way, these 5 Ethereum that were received by scammers were not returned in 2 times the amount to those who sent them.
4550  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of ETH2.0 Scammers on: December 06, 2020, 10:42:55 AM
...I would have said that this is mainly a newbie trap, but if someone sent 27 ETH, I suppose he is not such a newbie neither Undecided
...

I don't see the 27 ETH you write about here. Probably scammers changes the address of the contract to which you need to send Ethereum. Now I see that 5 ETH was sent to the address indicated on the site: https://etherscan.io/address/0xAEd44Ccb06eD816C99c13E6E0b2EB48557Fc50F5 Scammers offer to double your Ethereum in 24 hours. And this scam will continue as long as Twitter does not ban the specified profile.
4551  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why would you host a ETH 2.0 validator node instead of going with Binance? on: December 06, 2020, 08:07:51 AM
...Can you please explain how is Binance making profits according to the announcement I attached in the thread?...

Binance can only receive income in one case, if it distributes among the participants of the staking not the entire amount that they will receive themselves. The exchange will need part of the funds received for staking to cover the validator's expenses and pay fines. In this case, how will the losses from such work be covered if all the income from placing bets is distributed among the participants?
4552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ahead of the launch, Libra changed its name on: December 06, 2020, 07:46:39 AM

Following your logic, campaigns like Apple, Amazon, and many others are also not a trademark and are not protected by law. Each trademark is registered in relation to a specific type of goods and services. I can't find a free article for you, because such information costs money. I suggest that you read the following document confirming that the Libra trademark is protected by law. Read carefully "goods and services", which is protected by the Libra trademark.

Hello, friend.
There is such a wonderful site World Intellectual Property Organization where you can see information about registration of patents, trademarks and other objects that are intellectual property.
Here is what I found there at the request of the LIBRA:
https://www.wipo.int/tools/en/gsearch.html?cx=016458537594905406506%3Ahmturfwvzzq&cof=FORID%3A11&q=Libra#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=Libra&gsc.page=1

You have provided a good link that allows you to confirm my words that I said earlier about owning the Libra trademark. If you look at the decisions of the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, you can see that all the disputed decisions regarding the ownership of this trademark were made in favor of Facebook Inc.

...
Maybe they had some discussion with other businesses with Libra name (there's at least a Libra Bank), but still "libra" is a common Latin word, hence not copyrighted.
Strange decision...

You're wrong. The Libra trademark is currently owned by Facebook Inc, which acquired it on April 20, 2019 from Libra Services Inc: https://www.theblockcrypto.com/daily/21954/facebook-acquired-a-trademark-from-a-little-known-tax-company-for-its-secret-crypto-project Thus, Facebook acquired the Libra trademark before it announced its crypto project. Accordingly, we can't talk about any problems that Facebook might have had in connection with the use of the Libra trademark.

I don't know what they did trademark, you linked a paid article I cannot read. Most probably internal details, workflow, maybe even graphics and fonts.
I was talking about the word itself. And the word Libra cannot be trademark-ed. I think that you may be confusing something there.

Following your logic, campaigns like Apple, Amazon, and many others are also not a trademark and are not protected by law. Each trademark is registered in relation to a specific type of goods and services. I can't find a free article for you, because such information costs money. 4555  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why would you host a ETH 2.0 validator node instead of going with Binance? on: December 05, 2020, 09:08:45 PM
....On the other hand, Binance is not charging fees as per their announcement for their service. (I am still trying to figure out the reason behind this) On top of that, Binance will bear the risk of on-chain penalties and credit stacking reward daily in terms of BETH.  The double reward seems also good for early stackers...

In addition, users can receive additional rewards in BNB coins, but this will only be possible for those who pass verification on the exchange. Binance definitely makes a profit for doing the validator's work, since it is not a charitable organization and can make a distribution that does not exceed the profit received.
4556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where to find current crypto Airdrops? on: December 05, 2020, 10:35:25 AM
On December 4, the Binance exchange released a release about support for the airdrop Symbol (XYM) among NEM (XEM) holders. "The snapshot for the airdrop will take place at the XEM block height of 3,025,200 or approximately 2021/01/14 11:07 AM (UTC)": https://www.binance.com/en/support/articles/983a85523b36455b8d802b2c3723fa5f Accruals for this airdrop will be made at the rate of 1 XEM = 1 XYM.

4558  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] BNB Mahnet - Ponzi scheme on: December 04, 2020, 03:02:47 PM
...Whether the original project of BNB was a hyip in disguise or not remains questioned because it was done by Binance, these guys come up with yet another method to use that hype and start a new scam...

Do not forget that the main goal of creating the BNB token in 2017 was to raise funds within the ICO. It was thanks to the proceeds from the sale of the BNB token that money was raised to create the Binance cryptocurrency exchange. As a result of the fact that Binance has led the rating of cryptocurrency exchanges, the price of the coin began to grow rapidly.
4559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is uniswap a good place for the new tokens? on: December 04, 2020, 12:33:50 PM
I don't think uniswap is the best place for new tokens. Because uniswap has many fake tokens with the same symbol. Many times traders are losing their asset by swapping fake tokens without realizing it. When searching for tokens on uniswap, you must take a good look at the contact address of that token.

You must accept the rules of the game that are set in the cryptocurrency market, if we are talking about full de-centralization. Because no one can set rules on DEX exchanges that would prohibit the listing of new coins. Otherwise, decentralized exchanges will become centralized.
4560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Visa Partners With Ethereum Digital Dollar (USDC) Startup on: December 03, 2020, 01:38:36 PM
The use of visas is only limited to a medium of payment across the world. For me this won't have a big impact on cryptocurrency as merchants that support visas generally only accept stable currencies. This will only benefit Visa and USDC holders themselves as the globally available benefits of USDC make the transaction process easier.

In any case, such a partnership between VISA and USDC will give people more confidence in the entire cryptocurrency market. I am sure that VISA specialists have done a great job to check the security of using this stablecoin for payments. And of course, to meet VISA's stablecoin needs, the capitalization of USDC will have to increase several times.
