Well it's December now in Sweden and my "Jupiter November Shipping" hasn't been shipped. Way to over-promise and under-deliver.  What was your order date? Nov 9. I'm guessing it'll still end up being a better turnaround than any other ASIC producer.
True, but that's no excuse. They promised November shipping, and ought to have upheld that promise. They promised 15th October shipping, but that didn't happen, so.. By now you should have learnt that not everything KNC says turns true  Yes, but what is indeed odd is that its their second run. I do understand that they had unexpected problems in batch#1, but now they should now how to build a proper assembly line and how to tune those chips etc. But again they messed up something and again they didnt communicate their delay. True. I don't defend them by any means. I am equally unimpressed, but having experienced this before I now feel less angry with them. I remember. Your case was hardcore. |

600 units shipped according to Sam. He expects all to be shipped by Wednesday, which I personally doubt, being realistic. thx! at least we got some information. |

i really wish KNC would answer their phones once in a awhile....
that boat has sailed..it is like they just waved the white flag and bailed on voice support...I just get an answering machine in Swedish....all it does is make me doubly annoyed in that no longer can you call them voice...and I suddenly want to have a Swedish girlfriend .... I tried during the account fiasco... and didn't get thru for the first time in half a dozen calls over the past few months... but others did... Cypher got thu.. and others... just when the answering machine is on, the line is either busy, or they are closed... You gotta know by now there are hundreds of people calling every hour trying to talk to KNC... and during a incident like that...thousands... It's like trying to be caller #9 on Santana Tickets... lol During an incident like this, a simple news post to the home page could have stopped a large majority of those calls. I truly don't understand why it is so hard for any ASIC manufacturer to offer the simplest of communications to their customers. +1 I dont understand it either. Any news about NovBatch which was "in progress" and later back to "paid" My orders all "in progress" and now back to "paid"  Mine when back to paid but still got UPS tracking number and it was here the next day. Have you got a tracking no.? I have not yet received a UPS tracking number for my November Jupiter, and November's almost over. I think they have about 7 more hours of November left in Sweden right now. All orders placed today will ship in November.
same here in fact i wouldnt go mad if they deliver next week what makes me mad is the complete lack of communication......again i have got a scheduele to make for next week and i have no clue now when to expect the jups. thats f*** sucks! |

I can't speak for what's happening on the hardware end, but, there is still heaps of work going on behind the scenes by myself and their engineers writing software for their fpga communication board and the cgminer driver, so I very much doubt we're working on nothing (especially since I'm getting paid to write said code).
good to know but knc is eating their lunch (I've no dog in this fight but customer relations is a plus esp if they want to compete against KNC imho) got no dog in this fight .....might be interested in these units...but this silence on their part is daunting so above is just in case someone with any clout from cointerra reads this thread..... my 2c worth in passing by Searing coummunication with knc was a complete desaster at the beginning. they slowly got better, but august/september were not good. and especially the first days of october without orama nobody would have had any information at all. additionaly the timeframe between tapeout and chips arrival hasnt so much newsworthy details. its basically waiting for the chips. thats it. |

hatte bis jetzt noch keine Probleme will nur nicht das ich durch unwisseneheit
ärger erhalte.
Ist Steuern zahlen auf gewinne die einzigste Sache die man beachten muss?
ich würde ein extra konto eröffnen nur für bitcoin sachen es gab schon einige fälle in denen die hausbank ohne vorwarnung das konto geschlossen hat. auch bei jahrelangen kunden. sobald die bitcoin lesen kriegen die oft panik. Bei den Überweisungen muss man doch aber nicht zwangsläufig Bitcoin als Verwendungszweck angeben. Ich gebe immer nur das an was ich lt. Bitcoin.de auch als Verwendungszweck angeben soll und das ist diese 6-stellige ID. schon, aber ich hatte zB auch schon leute die bitcoin.de in den verwendungszweck eingetragen haben und nicht alle handeln über bitcoin.de |

Does anyone know if there is a proper method to turn off the KNC Jupiter? I see in the manual that theres a way to hard reset the machine with the button in the back, but that just resets it back to factory settings right? Can i just turn off my power supply to shut down the unit?

Yeah my November was "In progress" now its showing just "Paid" at least its not showing "Cancelled" anymore  the same here status was paid, then in progress, then paid... hmmm   Haha, glad I'm not the only one. Every time I received an email between 2&4 this afternoon I got excited. Hopefully things shipped regardless and we'll all get a nice surprise Tomorrow or Monday thats how it went last time. no emails or tracking numbers but the boxes arrived. lets see what monday brings. |

Die Differenz ist der Gewinn/Verlust aus Bitcoingeschäften. Sehe ich anders. Auch wenn der Euro-Gewinn noch auf Gox liegt (und dort derzeit gar nicht rauszubekommen ist....) muss er bereits versteuert werden. Wenn Du am Ende des Steuerjahres nur noch Fiat besitzt, dann ist das ja auch noch ganz einfach. Kompliziert wird es, wenn Du innerhalb des Jahres mehrfach gekauft und verkauft hast und jetzt immer noch BTC hältst. Dann müssen nämlich die bereits realisierten Gewinne ermittelt und versteuert werden. Was willst du dann verwenden als Nachweis für deine Käufe/Verkäufe? Kontoauszüge und detaillierte Abrechnungen gibt es ja keine. |

Solange der Verkauf und die Überweisung im selben Jahr liegen, sollte das eigentlich funktionieren. Also nur wenn du vorhast den Gewinn unter der Einkommenssteuer zu versteuern. Mit der Methode kannst du nicht die Haltefrist von einem Jahr beweisen, also die Eträge unversteuert lassen. Hmm...ehrlich gesagt wollte ich aber genau darauf hinaus. Denn eins wird meiner Meinung nach definitiv NICHT passieren: Das Sachbearbeiter sich stundenlang mit eurer Steuererklärung und Blockchainanalyse beschäftigen. Ich komme aus dem Tradingbreich und hatte daher Steuererklärungen mit tausenden einzelner Trades in unterschiedlichsten Anlageklassen. Das ganze mit Umsätzen in Millionenhöhe. Die Abrechnung des Brokers war unglaublich lang, verworren und kompliziert. Wie glaubt ihr hat das der Steuerberater gelöst? Eingang , Ausgang. Sprich wie war der Stand am 1.Januar und wie war der Stand am 31.12. Fertig! Und das Finanzamt hat das auch, wahrscheinlich dankend, aktzeptiert da sie eben keinerlei Lust hatten sich mit dem Wust zu beschäftigen. Und mit Bitcoin wird es ähnlich sein imo. Interessante Info.
