And for the many controversial fights that end up with a judge's decision next time pursue a fight that you can finish with a KO or submission because there is no stopping the unreliable judges, for now,

Not a bad idea.  At the very least I think that they could probably extend these fights a little more.  Paddy even said that he felt he was the winner of the first two rounds so round 3 he just danced around and tried to maintain his victory.  Make it a 6 round fight and I think the winner would be much more obvious.  Just like the Suga Sean O'Malley fight, Paddy seemingly was nearing the end of what he had in the tank by round 3.  3 more rounds and it would have been very clear for the referees who the winner was.  I'm not sure why Sean and Paddy are getting such short 3 round fights, but I'd like to see them extended so we can actually see a fight...

Want to have kids?  Sorry, you said there were only 2 genders so we're going to sterilize you.

I am aware (since I have read some of your posts around) that you hold political views which go against to the political left in your country (I assume you are American).

But that example is a little bit extreme, considering USA citizens have the constitution to protect (in theory) their free speech and since you mentioned healthcare under the control of the government, would not be incompatible to your rights?

The government having the ultimate say so in anything goes against my rights in my opinion.  A few years ago I would have thought it was inconceivable that the government would have the power to exclude people from society for refusing an experimental vaccine.  I would have thought that "lockdowns" and "masks" were something we'd see in China.  I never thought people would lose their jobs or their children for refusing the vaccine.  I would have told you that you were insane to even think that could happen in the US.  People losing their jobs for saying, "all lives matter."  That was a real thing here.  It's all so insane I can't believe that real life adults think that this is the way a society should operate.  Our once great nation used to be the home of the brave.  Now it's the home of the woke and if you aren't woke then you are the enemy and your life must be ruined.  It's a problem.

^I’m glad the Pelicans just spammed the Suns again. Hometown team or not, I can’t hope for a team to win if I don’t respect their players. Glad Chris Paul got hammered all game and Zion smashed everyone. It needed to happen. The Suns are way too high off their Finals appearance still. They’re acting like they’ve won multiple championships or something. I’m ready to blow up this roster and give the team to Ayton.
4564  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Where would Twitter go after its takeover by Elon Musk ? on: December 11, 2022, 08:33:13 PM
I’m just glad that now Twitter is out of the hands of liberal psychos. They were prioritizing silencing conservatives while leaving child porn thriving on the platform. I’m not sure if liberals are mad that conservatives now have an equal playing field or if they’re mad their child porn provider is going away, but one thing is for sure, it’s going to get a lot more difficult for these gender twisting groomers to achieve their goals on Twitter, and I think that’s a huge win for society.

Jesus, how gullible are you?

Child porn was never thriving on Twitter or literally any major social media network.

You realize that 1) you're wrong & 2) you're literally proving my point.  Defending child porn on Twitter by claiming it doesn't exist is either malicious or ignorant.  You can pick which one you are, as this is a statement of fact, not an opinion.

I get that liberals want to pretend they aren't groomers, but their activity is what matters.  Constantly defending child porn.  Wanting to censor anyone who disagrees with their lies.  Pretending there are more than 2 genders.  Trying to cancel anyone who doesn't go along with their fairytale.  Trying to say that dressing up as the opposite sex is being your true self and others can't handle it, when it's literally the exact opposite. Even the person in charge of handling this so called child porn issue that you deny was writing in this thesis for his PhD that children should be allowed to use grinder (an app for gays to find each other for sex).  What kind of a sick person hires someone like that for a position supposed to exist to weed out child porn?  I can't even grasp what sort of a stubborn idiot would still maintain that the way things were going was OK...  Then I remember that TwitchySeal is an extortionist troll and it makes sense.

I usually don't argue with fools these days, as casuals usually can't tell who is who, but I think in this case it's blatantly obvious who the fool is.
4565  Other / Meta / Re: We can not discuss if 'ChipMixer is a honeypot or not' outside their own thread? on: December 11, 2022, 08:25:31 PM
Really the defense of ChipMixer by its sig campaigners has been far stronger than for any other entity that has ever advertised in such a manner on the forum. Its getting a bit embarrassing TBH.

Indeed.  You can tell these people don't give a shit about how their activities negatively effect the community or Bitcoin, so long as they get some easy money.  The funny part is a lot of them act like they're the morality police around here, while being some of the worst actors on the forum with their activities, boosting scammer's reputations on the trust network to help troll those who point out their behavior or harassing those who try to build real projects here while they're actively helping scammers launder stolen funds.  Granted, these people would just join other campaigns when mixing sites get banned here for promoting money laundering, but they don't want to take the pay cut to do what's right and would rather pretend their behavior is honest until regulators step in.  I prefer to be on the right side of history (like always) which is not usually the popular position around here.
4566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: December 11, 2022, 07:02:15 PM
Thos two last fights were just epic, a lot of people bet on Paddy, and was a surprise to see him winning because we all know the other guy did a better job. And the draw on Ankalaev was just cruel, wasn't easy to see him walking away with tears in his eyes, he deserves that belt.

And something weird happen to me, I placed a parlay with Rosas, Paddy and Ankalaev, And since Ankalaev Draw I think my parlay lost, but it just doesn't pay for that match and get as valid multis the other 2 fights for a x1.8 win in my bet, so, that feels nice.

Nice surprise on the parlay win. I’m surprised they gave that to you as well.

I haven’t watched Paddy’s fight yet but I’m hearing that was a more controversial decision that the Suga Sean O’Malley decision. I think it seems obvious that the UFC wants Suga and Paddy to be the next stars of the UFC and they are both great characters. I’m just not sure they’re good enough to fill the position.
4567  Other / Meta / Re: Whoops out of smerit. Should there be a way to buy some from theymos? on: December 11, 2022, 06:55:32 PM
I don’t think theymos selling merit would be a good idea because it would somewhat establish a market for buying/selling merit that would likely be abused. It also seems a little backwards, as handing out merit is a bit of a job, not some great privilege. If anything, those handing out merit honorably should be getting some sort of support from the forum, not the other way around.
4568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 11, 2022, 06:52:09 PM
Keep AD healthy, that is their key to win every game. Rest him if they think their opponent can be handled by the other players.
Make him the VIP of the team as it is a fact that he is the only one who could bring them more wins than any players. Yes, that includes Lebron and Westbrook.

Yes, they should at least give Davis some rest if they will be facing a much easier opponent or an opponent that they seem they can defeat without getting Davis plenty minutes. The other guys could handle that kind of scenario given that Westbrook is also getting a hold of his new role and LeBron is still remarkable contributing decent numbers per game, and well, they also got Walker and Reaves for that job.

The last two names stated needs a lot more exposures so that they will be much more reliable when the game becomes more intense before the qualifiers, they are good now but the team needed an improvement because time will come that Davis and Lebron's numbers won't guarantee to keep them afloat.

The Lakers said they’ll be holding LeBron and Anthony Davis out of back to back games for the rest of the year. That should help keep them healthy I would think. It’s still early in the season but they do need to make sure the playoff race doesn’t slip out if their grasp. With the way Davis has been playing lately though it seems like they won’t have any problems so long as he can keep himself on the floor.
4569  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin high prediction 2023? on: December 10, 2022, 08:15:47 PM
I understand we have to wait until 2024 for the Bitcoin halving to really see prices go up but just curious to hear what can happen in 2023.
Are we likely to have a run up to £40,000 or something or is it likely to stay at low these low levels for most of 2023.
2023 could see mostly horizontal price movements which could rise as much as $40k or its equivalent in pounds and could also drop below $10k.
The market can also be affected by indirect events, like a hack, or some government policy which could raise the price momentarily or lower it.

My expectations would be a peak of maybe between $30k - $35k for 2023

- Jay -

My expectations are similar. I think we’ll see the price start creeping up as people begin to eyeball the halving, but the real fireworks take another year after the halving when the rubber hits the road as they say. If we do get institutional adoption, 2024-2025 will be some explosive years. The current recession expectations hint that the economy will be back growing by then and irrational exuberance will likely return.

The Suns vs Pelicans had an interesting ending. Look it up on Twitter. Zion got the ball and did a 360 windmill dunk on a fast break after the win was already secured. This made the Suns pretty angry and nearly started a brawl. I think the Suns are a little full of themselves all the sudden. Devon Booker and Chris Paul are a couple of the biggest prima donnas in the NBA now. I don’t like it…

Dunk away Zion! Nobody in the NBA can do shit to you. Smiley

One of those unwritten Bush league rules.  All of the drama is just jockeying for the next time they play.  No one likes getting smashed in the face.

It's always funny to see how the losing team reacts to moments like that. Of course, Zion's dunk could be seen as disrespectful to the opponent, and it clearly hurt the ego of the Suns' players. However, I think any losing team shows its unprofessionalism by making ridiculous altercations because of it. At moments like this, they look more like kids on the playground rather than NBA players.

I think the fact that the game was played in New Orleans made it OK. Most of the people there came to see Zion put on a show and he delivered. The Suns need to relax and let Zion do his thing for his fans. If this was in Phoenix, I could see why the Suns would take issue with it. I personally hate seeing my hometown team turn into a bunch of snowflakes. Chris Paul should’ve left that crybaby attitude in Los Angeles.
4571  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will The FED pivot? on: December 10, 2022, 07:54:42 AM
The fed always goes too far. I don’t expect this time will be any different. Even though rates have started to come down and home affordability has become the worst it’s been in my lifetime, I expect they will raise rates again. The language will probably be positive as they’ll signal increases may be done, but I believe they want to cause a recession. You have to remember the government’s overall goal is to inflict enough financial pain to get citizens on board with universal income. A soft landing doesn’t move towards that goal.

I’m watching the Lakers vs 76ers game and man is this De’Anthony Melton kid lighting up the scoreboard. He is 8/11 from 3 point range on his way to 30 points.  I don’t think the Sixers would’ve won this game without him. A great performance for a relatively unknown player against multiple hall of famers. He’s going to be one happy guy when he gets home tonight. I’m happy for him, but would have preferred a Lakers win as they’ve been playing great lately.

I'm surprised that this game went to OT, I was watching in the 4th quarter but the Sixers already had a good lead, I'm surprised when I come back that the game was already in overtime. Still plenty of time left, but it's still the sixers who are leading in the OT period.

Ya, I didn’t expect them to take it to overtime. I think when I made that post they were down by 8 with under a minute left. Almost a great comeback.

How about Zion tonight also? The guy was putting on a show. I think the MVP race might now be between Luka, Giannis and Zion. If Zion stays healthy the Pelicans are going to be making some noise in the postseason.
4574  Economy / Speculation / Re: With Quantum computing / AI is anyone concerned of the private keys with 50btc? on: December 10, 2022, 03:08:48 AM
There is definite progress happening with quantum computing and it is no doubt a threat to Bitcoin and other cryptos, but I think it’s a problem that can be solved before it damages the security model of Bitcoin. It’s likely that the damage of quantum computing will be limited to MITM style attacks on the blockchain by front running legitimate transactions. It’s very likely that a solution wouldn’t be too difficult. The real fear is the ability to crack private keys, which I think is still likely several decades away.

4576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Destroy Crap Altcoins? on: December 10, 2022, 12:00:29 AM
The only thing that will stop shitcoins from stealing people’s money is education. Too many people think that all coins (and stocks for that matter) have the same number of outstanding coins (or shares). This is the most common tactic to fleece those lacking financial education. Too many people judge whether a coin is cheap or expensive by its price instead of market cap. This is mostly a failure of our education system and a get rich quick mentality by the younger generations.

Everyone seems to be ignoring the definition of a shadow ban that was given when the claim was made and using a different definition that would make the statement a lie.

Semantics is the weakest form of argument.  Trying to use doublespeak now to pretend they weren't lying is ridiculous.  Twitter was lying and got caught red handed.  I'm sure the abuse goes even further than what we've already seen, and what we've already seen is enough to distrust our government.  When you look into all the details of ex-alphabet boys getting positions in Twitter to make their manipulation easier from the inside and it's clear as day that this has been happening.  Although everyone already knew this because it was obvious.  Now it's fact instead of conspiracy theory.  The really crazy part is that YouTube and Facebook are even worse offenders but have deeper pockets to avoid a buyout.  I hope this latest set of events has them terrified and questioning their bad behavior.  I hope it all comes to light in the end and liberals are able to digest they've been brainwashed while being mature enough to switch their views based on their new understanding of reality.
4579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT ?? What do you think about it ? ? ? on: December 09, 2022, 09:00:47 PM
I still don't understand what the phenomenon of these pictures is.It's funny to me to watch how what cost hundreds of thousands yesterday is worth nothing today.I can understand if the nft is attached to the subject of real art and it gives the right to transfer, then yes.
I have never bought them and do not plan to, I do not see any uniqueness in them except as a record in the blockchain.

I think that eventually all financial assets will be tokenized on the blockchain.  It's crazy to me that there's no real way to prove I own shares of anything in my brokerage account.  You just have to trust your intermediary.  We've all seen how well that works out with the FTX case.  I'm sure just as shady activity is happening with major brokers, but they've had a long time to figure out how to hide their holdings from the public and operate as fractional reserves.  The transparency that NFTs could bring to the world of finance shouldn't be understated.  Stupid works of art, yes, now they are.  Someday they'll be how you prove you have retirement funds.  First though I think NFTs need to take over the gaming sphere and do away with companies stealing from children for skins that can't be resold.  Then that generation will require proof of their investments and NFTs will be that proof.  It's coming, although probably a decade away.
4580  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Medically assisted deaths could save millions in health care spending: Report on: December 09, 2022, 08:42:48 PM
I personally find medically assisted death a topic which is hard to stomach.
We all have read or heard about the right to live and right to have access to healthcare... but having the "right" to die would open several new and scary implications to the population of a country or the world.

If Death becomes a right and if we normalize it even further, what would be the limits?
If a young adult decides their life is not worth living anymore, would any kind of intervention to prevent it be considered illegal? against their rights?

Would crisis-lines be abolished?

I assume this is how population control will begin in countries with socialized healthcare systems.  First, everyone will cheer as they all get access to free medical care.  Then they'll discover that the wait times and care received are horrendous.  In order to combat that problem the government will first allow people to begin having their lives ended with medical procedures, then when budgets continue to grow out of control they will look for new cost saving measures.  You get X disease, it's too expensive to care for you, so you'll be medically euthanized for the good of the population.  Want to have kids?  Sorry, you said there were only 2 genders so we're going to sterilize you.  Born with an uncurable disease, sorry, we can't afford to treat you, euthanasia.
