I sent him an email but they don't reply to me  , this is not "cool". I guess they must be receiving thousands of emails about this. Borisz has right, however someone from you know how much customers had in his exchange (registered/active)? Or aren't public data? I remember there had been a number of registered users on the site, something around 45 thousand people. But this may well be a number from another exchange that stuck to my memory. Thanks, I will inform and I will find the answer of my question. Thanks for the "fix" theymos, I've noticed it but I don't think it was "intentional". For example also when you modify a post (with the quick edit button) you see the "links broken"; but after a refresh all come back as earlier.

What's going on... more than 48 hours without any news, believe it or not, i'm really worring  Hope the best for Bter.Or maybe also "hope the best to those people that have lost their bitcoins". Now every one know to not keep the own coins into an exchange, until they will start to "save" the bitcoins in a multi sig. cold wallet (in the correct way). |

I think the Winklevoss' ETF will be available ~February of 2016, or at least I hope. I don't think the price will go [up] in theory the price should go up after the next block reward halving.

nothing new here related to Bter hack. And the title reads as if Bter got hacked for 175 million bitcoins (the imaginary unit gets envious and feels itself a positive number)...  In the title you can't put the [comma] and the [dot] , so it is normal the title "appears" : bter-gets-hacked-for-175-million-in-bitcoin. |

If so, why does it only appear when quoting and not when one clicks on "reply" and "insert quote" later?Exact, if it was intentional so also the intentional way is "bugged". |

......... How much more secure is my wallet at home which is running on my PC when a wallet with 7000 coins in it - presumably kept safe by smart people - gets stolen? Yes, targeting a 7000 BTC worth wallet is more lucrative than mine, but still.
I suspect it was an inside job, and the smart people who should have been keeping the cold wallet safe robbed it themselves. which brings the question why it wasn't. It may have been kept a such so that when they steal it they can blame external hackers. Yes of course, it will be impossible to "hack" a cold wallet (with a remote attack). A purpose of cold wallet is to be disconnected (better never connected) on internet. I think they had created the cold wallet in the worst way. |

i agree to this i support quick and redsnow about giving negative trust to people that open ponzis!!! they are just a scam that will burst sooner or later...i think they should even be banned from gambling section because they are spam!if you make a ponzi game legal then i would open personaly my self a ponzi and hold it until i see a big btc and just take it and quit the ponzi or shut it until next round thats why they should get negative trust! I think me too that IF Ponzies and other frauds cannot be banned the only way to try containing them is by bashing people starting a Ponzi with negative trust. Also they clutter the whole forum with all their shitty spam. This is abuse of the trust system and will get you removed from default trust. It is also slander to claim ponzis are scams and you will be sued for saying that. I don't think leave a negative feedback to a scammer is "abuse of the trust system". Maybe it is the contrary , you are helping the community if you leave a negative trust. |
