4561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [FIND] Findcoin unofficial trading thread on: February 17, 2015, 11:50:56 PM
I'm still selling 50k FIND, if someone of you want them send me a PM or reply to this thread. Thanks for the attention.
4562  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTER.com hacked - 7170 BTC stolen [DON'T KEEP YOUR MONEY ON AN EXCHANGE] on: February 17, 2015, 10:28:55 PM
I sent him an email but they don't reply to me   Undecided, this is not "cool".

I guess they must be receiving thousands of emails about this.

Borisz has right, however someone from you know how much customers had in his exchange (registered/active)? Or aren't public data?

I remember there had been a number of registered users on the site, something around 45 thousand people. But this may well be a number from another exchange that stuck to my memory.

Thanks, I will inform and I will find the answer of my question. However I've updated the OP with this interesting video (a quick bipartisan explanation also about why a decentralised exchange is needed):

Thanks for the "fix" theymos, I've noticed it but I don't think it was "intentional". For example also when you modify a post (with the quick edit button) you see the "links broken"; but after a refresh all come back as earlier.

What's going on...

more than 48 hours without any news, believe it or not, i'm really worring Sad

Hope the best for Bter.

Or maybe also "hope the best to those people that have lost their bitcoins". Now every one know to not keep the own coins into an exchange, until they will start to "save" the bitcoins in a multi sig. cold wallet (in the correct way).
4566  Economy / Speculation / Re: ETA on the ETF? on: February 17, 2015, 07:19:55 PM
I think the Winklevoss' ETF will be available ~February of 2016, or at least I hope. I don't think the price will go [up] in theory the price should go up after the next block reward halving.
4567  Economy / Services / Re: Signature Competition - 0.1 BTC Reward on: February 17, 2015, 07:11:09 PM
Thank you everyone for taking the time to enter.

We will give everyone that entered 100 OCUPY for their efforts. If you are still holding those coins 30 days from now, we will give you another 100 OCUPY.

Please PM your OCUPY address to Crypto Privacy

I've sent to Crypto Privacy my personal ocupy address, thanks !
4568  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTER.com hacked - 7170 BTC stolen [DON'T KEEP YOUR MONEY ON AN EXCHANGE] on: February 17, 2015, 06:24:14 PM

And the title reads as if Bter got hacked for 175 million bitcoins (the imaginary unit gets envious and feels itself a positive number)... Grin

In the title you can't put  the [comma] and the [dot] , so it is normal the title "appears"  : bter-gets-hacked-for-175-million-in-bitcoin.
4569  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTER.com hacked - 7170 BTC stolen [DON'T KEEP YOUR MONEY ON AN EXCHANGE] on: February 17, 2015, 05:44:11 PM

The site appears to have been "hacked".  It is back online, maybe it was only a problem of dns.

An important news (I can't verify it) :  http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2w5az8/rumors_from_china_bter_told_lies_and_they_never/  (added to the initial post).

There are a lot of rumours. I'm still waiting for THEM to say something.

Yes I know there are a lot of rumors but I would like only to keep this thread *updated* with the most information possible.
4571  Local / Italiano (Italian) / Re: [ufficiale] TINKL.IT Payment processor Italiano on: February 17, 2015, 05:20:10 PM

O sbaglio?

I don't know. I don't see a problem here. If it's really a big problem theymos will fix it.

I don't say it is a problem. It is a bug, only a bug.
4574  Other / Meta / Re: [BUG] A little bug in the label news on: February 17, 2015, 03:00:26 PM
It's not bug. That's intentional.

If so, why does it only appear when quoting and not when one clicks on "reply" and "insert quote" later?

Exact, if it was intentional so also the intentional way is "bugged".
4575  Other / Meta / [BUG] A little bug in the label news on: February 17, 2015, 01:47:51 PM
Hey guys, maybe I've find a "little bug" here in the forum. When I quote a post the link for the download of the latest bitcoin core appears in this way :

Can theymos "fix" it ?  Thanks for the attention.
4576  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Escrow list on: February 17, 2015, 01:36:11 PM
Why are some of the profiles linking to an ip address instead of the official forum page?

109.201.133.195 is the ip of bitcointalk.org [_hostname] (check it yourself here : http://www.whatismyip.com/ip-address-host-name-lookup/ ).
4577  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTER.com hacked - 7170 BTC stolen [DON'T KEEP YOUR MONEY ON AN EXCHANGE] on: February 17, 2015, 08:19:08 AM

......... How much more secure is my wallet at home which is running on my PC when a wallet with 7000 coins in it - presumably kept safe by smart people - gets stolen? Yes, targeting a 7000 BTC worth wallet is more lucrative than mine, but still.

I suspect it was an inside job, and the smart people who should have been keeping the cold wallet safe robbed it themselves.

it was not a true cold wallet which brings the question why it wasn't. It may have been kept a such so that when they steal it they can blame external hackers.

Yes of course, it will be impossible to "hack" a cold wallet (with a remote attack). A purpose of cold wallet is to be disconnected (better never connected) on internet.

I think they had created the cold wallet in the worst way.

4579  Other / Meta / Re: Ponzi "Game" == Negative Trust? on: February 17, 2015, 08:04:49 AM
Because its a Ponzi something destined to fail that's why.

i agree to this

i support quick and redsnow about giving negative trust to people that open ponzis!!!
they are just a scam that will burst sooner or later...i think they should even be banned
from gambling section because they are spam!if you make a ponzi game legal then i would open personaly my self a ponzi
and hold it until i see a big btc and just take it and quit the ponzi or shut it until next round

thats why they should get negative trust!

I think me too that IF Ponzies and other frauds cannot be banned the only way to try containing them is by bashing people starting a Ponzi with negative trust. Also they clutter the whole forum with all their shitty spam.

This is abuse of the trust system and will get you removed from default trust. It is also slander to claim ponzis are scams and you will be sued for saying that.

I don't think leave a negative feedback to a scammer is "abuse of the trust system". Maybe it is the contrary , you are helping the community if you leave a negative trust.
4580  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: CoinDoubler - Double your coins in just 10 hours " DOGE-BTC " on: February 17, 2015, 08:01:56 AM
@OP, you are too late. The ponzi scheme "era" is finished, now you can only get out from the forum or stay here and help the other users (be active).
