With bitcoin crossing crossing 20k price mark and registering new ATH I think it's always a very good idea to invest in altcoins to trade but I do not recommend to hold them for a long period.
It's too late for now to buy altcoins or bitcoins. both are mooning right now. People will be dealing with the big risk that they are shorting the market and when the price goes down again and they will be trapped. It's better waiting for the correction rather than try to buy more and put youself into the big risk. People must think for a twice about that dude. I disagree, i don't know your definition of mooning because there are many alts which have not have a 2% increase as at now, although it depend on the alts he intend to invest on, to me this is the perfect time to buy some good alts and ride the market (i.e if there will be any major price pump in alts like the way btc is pumping right now), don't forget the alts season is yet to begin. You are absolutely right we should buy only Good those Alts which have potential to go 2 to 5X like, Ethereum, XRP, Polka Dot and XLM. To cut the long story short, Top 20 coins on coinmaketcap are safe for long term investment. My favourite coin is Pola Dot, I think it has potential to go more than 10X because it has all the features of Ethereum network, transaction speed and other features are even better and its current price is very attractive for investment. |

Late is better than never, I would like to ride this rally and make profit in BTC or alt coins because current scenario is totally different from 2017 scenario which was totally speculative. Now there is Huge institutional support and adaption of crypto currencies. No one can correctly predict that where this BTC rally will end up because we have no historical data to predict Resistance or Support levels as it has already broken its ATH record.. Many of the traders are focusing more on Bitcoin right now I'm still not quite sure if its worth investing to altcoins right now I don't see any signs that the altcoins will follow the Bitcoins price and hype.

The BTC has made history today and broke its all time high record. It is currently trading around $ 20500 to 20600. BTC Dominance Index is around 65% which is very High. I personally think that it is the Right time to take entry in Good Alt coins ( Ranking from 2 to 20 on coinmarketcap). I believe that History of 2017 will be repeated soon. We will soon witness Huge rally in Alts. It should happen when BTC will stabilize around current levels and BTC dominance Index comes down to below 60%.

I am just looking at the project on Polkadot, the quality of projects on Polkadot is more important to me than Polkadot platform itself, look at all the Ethereum Killers in the space, starting from EOS, Tezos, Cosmos etc all have failed to attract good projects on their platform and these Dapps are what help drive up exposure to the blockchain

Without going into much Technical details, Polka dot is very young altcoin and was listed on Binance exchange few months back , In this very short period the value of DOT has soared more than 100%. What is more fascinating about Polka dot that Trading volume has grown exponentially. As a rule, projects that rise quickly and their tokens quickly grow in value also quickly then fall. Therefore, such statements should not be taken seriously. Even if this project turns out to be successful, it will not threaten the ethereum network with anything serious yet. DOT will not kill or replace Ether. BUT I believe it will grow at least 2-3x in the next 12 months, which is the reason to hold some.

i think defi is much more credible concept than IEO/ICO previously, - here even when we see a huge hype, we understand that there's a strong financial model/technical base/strategic roadmap under this particular token. i believe defi isn't a real hype more like stable concept which will have a huge impact on a crypto market

there were many Ethereum killers but Ethereum is still alive. Polkadot will take its place on the crypto market because it's a good project but Ethereum also shows nice results in new developments.
This is a promotion strategy. When there are some people could a project potentially to be the ethereum killers and it means if those were shilling for it. History has told us about the truth that will never be changed if ethereum will remain the same. The only threat for ethereum was ripple and this can't be argued.
