4561  Economy / Economics / Re: Selling Bitcoin = Opportunity loss?! on: June 23, 2017, 02:38:12 PM
If you have need for funds, then sell it, otherwise don't because you realy might loose the opportunity to earn some extra. But depends also how did you get to these Bitcoins, have you bought them or earned them. Anyway, I beleive that the price will go up a bit more so hold at least some of amount if you have intended to sell the rest.
4562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I cant send BTC funds in my wallet on: June 23, 2017, 02:26:04 PM
I haven't noticed that you memtioned the wallet that you are using, that could also explain a lot. There is something odd, such a high fee for not such big amount of coins you are sending, is this automaticaly set fee? Try to regulate and adjust the fee if your wallet has this options and then send again.
4563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: August 1, Bitcoin will Ends? on: June 23, 2017, 02:18:16 PM
The chains could split, this could happen, but Bitcoin is not going to vanish, it will not end. Like for many changes so far that Bitcoin has gone through people always paniced and made different theories but every time Bitcoin survived and actualy nothing so crucial hasn't happen. So it will be this time.
4564  Economy / Speculation / Re: fluctuating btc price on: June 22, 2017, 05:58:34 PM
With more countries formaly accepting and regulating Bitcoin the price will go up and this could be expected in the next period. Fluctuation and volatility are natural characteristics if Bitcoin and this can't be avoided but this doesn't necessary only represent the bad sides. Without volatility how could traders earn their profit.
4565  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: June 22, 2017, 05:40:58 PM
The issues and problems that Bitcoin has are not so fatal that would lead to Bitcoin disappear and leave the cryptocurrency scene. This period is one of Bitcoin's peaks and in the future it should only be better. Issues could be solved, Bitcoin can adjust and with further increase of adoption there is no need for failure.
4566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why BILL GATES do not USE Bitcoin? on: June 22, 2017, 04:56:14 PM
We can't know for sure if he is using Bitcoin or not. But I would say that rich people look differently on cryptocurrencies. And if they invest they invest in more secure and stable things, I would say more traditional ones. His interests are focused on different things and regarding to finances he probably has advisers and Bitcoin wasn't something they paid attention to.
4567  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Are we over complicating Bitcoin? on: June 21, 2017, 05:43:46 PM
For the person with some average techical knowledge Bitcoin is not that much complicated unless you want go realy deep in the system. But people would like to becom experienced profitable traders over night and understand everything about Bitcoin just in a few days. That is not how the things are working and it takes time. But it's essential to understand basic principles.
4568  Other / Off-topic / Re: What to do with my bitcoins ? on: June 21, 2017, 05:18:29 PM
If you want to buy realy nice and quality wallet and pay with Bitcoins you can choose Slim Wallet Junkie web page. This is my suggestion.
Or if you don't want to bother which page acceptable Bitcoin and which doesn't you can get one of those Bitcoin debit cards and shop anywhere you want.
4569  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: fees? on: June 21, 2017, 01:13:44 PM
If you want use Bitcoins you can't escape the fees, this is the new reality now. It's hard to find the balance and the solution that will satisfy everyone and currently miners are at bigest profit. But I like the wallets like Mycelium who proposes different fees and calculates actual cost per bite.
4570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: June 21, 2017, 12:58:29 PM
Probably we all share the same opinion, fees and confirmation time are bigest issues at the moment. But the problem is also that Bitcoin still isn't widely adopted as a payment method and I would also add reduced anonimity for users. But these things could be improved and Bitcoin needs to adjust.
4571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Years of Bitcoin, short version on: June 21, 2017, 11:14:32 AM
Interesting perspective and I would say very probably development for the future, except that is not very likely that Bitcoin will be accepted as mainstream currency, particulary not as the only one. Governments and financial institutions are still very stiff for step like this. But no one can't say for sure what future brings so I'm looking forward.
4572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: hold your savings in the cloud rather than at a bank. on: June 21, 2017, 10:13:23 AM
Not many people love banks these days and they prefer to keep their saving elsewhere. Some have decided to quit completely dealing with fiat money and have turned to Bitcoin. It's a risky move but I can understand it. And if you have Bitcoin debit card the access to fiat is also available through ATMs.
4573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crime funded by bitcoin on: June 20, 2017, 06:02:29 PM
It can be happened in every currency, not only Bitcoin Every currencies are involved in the crime. It depends on how people want to use, currency can be controlled by using in crime, so it can be tracked down that how many transaction are using in the illegal activities. That is not a big deal...

Right, they do not have to single out bitcoin. Cash is even easier to  use for illegal activities. There is no trace for cash and readily spendable. While bitcoin have a public ledger. Authorities just have to watch the bitcoin address and they can track the criminals.

The difference is that its very hard to use millions of dollars in cash but with bitcoin you can move huge funds around and bitcoin mixers make it virtually untraceable.

At the end of the day though its sort of a feature and not a bug of the protocol.

That is very true, Bitcoin is much more flexible and easier to transfer than fiat money. Controls are not so big or even none and as long as you don't try to exchange the coins into fiat you are safe. And not less important Bitcoin is much more anonimous than fiat money which is also great advantage for criminal activities.
4574  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: August 1 needs to be today... on: June 20, 2017, 01:34:34 PM
It's not good, it seems some people are switching to Litecoin for retail payments, I like BTC a lot but I don't like the way this coin is treated... it's like it's left alone doing nothing about it and meanwhile lots of altcoins are trying to take over... BTC looks like a fat coin barely moving right now folks while whales are taking as much as they can on its back, it needs to be light and have speed... if something doesn't change after August 1 will probably consider other options as well, I've believed too much in one coin and missed others on the road

I would say that most people pretty much don't understand the situation. Bitcoin is having some issues but I would say this is the natural consequence of huge adoption and changes that are going through.
It's good to invest in other prosperous coins too but no matter all problems Bitcoin has they will not replace it so easily. And who says that these altcoins will also not find themselves in same or similar problems like Bitcoins once (if) they reach that position and so big number of users?
4575  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best Bitcoin debit card, real users experiences pls on: June 20, 2017, 01:23:40 PM
Hey guys,

I d like to get Bitcoin debit card. What is your preferable choice and why? Pls dont point this thread towards some paid promotion or comparisons thread, I d like to hear recent experiences from real users in terms of price, availability, quality of support, etc.

Thx a lot

I still don`t get it.What`s the point of having a bitcoin debit card?
Can you use it somewhere to buy stuff offline with your bitcoins?
Are there any merchants that accept such bitcoin debit cards?
Is it more secure than just holding your bitcoins on a paper wallet?
I just don`t understand why the forum members here continue to ask about btc debit/credit cards.

It's because then you can use your Bitcoins for buying real stuff and services ofline and online not to worry if merchant accepts Bitcoins or not. These are usualy Visa or Master cards that are accepted everywhere in the world. And this is also the easiest way to get fiat money because you can withdraw cash at ATMs.
It's funny how people such a long time after Bitcoin debit cards are available are still asking these questions.
4576  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC can be a great store of value. Not for small transactions. on: June 20, 2017, 10:56:11 AM
Yes, Bitcoin was meant to be an investment from the start, like gold but digital and with limited supply. Given the fees Bitcoin will never be used for micr-transactions. An alternative way may be to use an altcoin with low fees and fast transaction time, but that would be a long way to go for many to start adopting it. Smiley

But things are changing, nothing is ment to, stay still and so isn't the Bitcoin. This issue with fees will come to the place and people will figure out that certain adaptions are needed. I'm afraid that altcoins will never become so popular and have so real and practical use and value in real life like Bitcoin.
4577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future? on: June 20, 2017, 09:23:10 AM
You probably mean on the Yahoo's destiny, how it ended, otherwise Bitcoin and Yahoo are not comparable, these are totaly different categories. But I don't think that Bitcoin will share the same destiny as Yahoo. Bitcoin has ussr but has also the great potential and it has gone too far to be put on the margines just like that. Bitcoin will adapt and survive.
4578  Economy / Economics / Re: Could the banking system be behind cryptocurrenices? on: June 19, 2017, 06:47:15 PM
I wouldn't say they are behind cryptocurrencies, definetely now, but still their attitude towards cryptocurrencies is changing. At the begininig they were strongly against them but lately they are more and more exiperimenting with them. And the reason for that is profit, they are trying to find their piece of cake in it.
But some conspiracy theories say banks are the biggest investors in Bitcoin.
4579  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what was your first incoming transaction? on: June 19, 2017, 04:55:21 PM
It's been a while now, somwhere in 2013 but I remember that it was 0.5 Bitcoins, I just don't remember the source. I remember I was very excited about my first Bitcoins. This wasn't such big amount of money like today because the price was much lower then but still I felt like I'm holding big fortune.
4580  Economy / Economics / Re: Offline stores that accept payments using bitcoins on: June 19, 2017, 01:14:01 PM
In my country there are no much stores who accept Bitcoin. Just a few of them, like one hair dresser, bakery and some bars. Direct Bitcoin payments still represent a big problem for merchants and they don't like to accept it. So actualy the on way to,spend them in real stores is with Bitcoin debit card.
