I noticed this example of how complicated it really is in the middle east.

4562  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Atheism BS on: September 26, 2014, 08:23:36 PM
I think many people feels intimidated by atheists because they have no clue what atheists stand for. Atheism is not accepting God(s) or at least the ones described on the bullshi... Sorry... Holy books.
Absolutely nothing else.
I'm a "pro-life" atheist for an instance, I'm also more liberal than communist... And other atheists may be the exact opposite.
I'm glad you brought that up. People are complicated and since atheism only means a lack of belief in a God, there is no one atheism. I also have problems with abortion. Not because God wills it, but because it is a human life at stake.
4563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you USE your BTC? on: September 26, 2014, 07:15:45 PM
Online I only use bitcoin. At least once a week!
4564  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Atheism BS on: September 26, 2014, 07:10:59 PM
Let me get this right. Karl Marx is kind of a dick, So that means there is a God?
4565  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CraigsCoin scam on: September 26, 2014, 05:52:07 PM
I don't know about this one, but a good default position is to assume all alt-coins are a scam. I don't know why you guys mess with them?
4566  Economy / Speculation / Re: view: bitcoin has hit its full potential on: September 26, 2014, 05:45:57 PM
Oh great. Another "FINAL WARNING!!!!!!!" from the guy who can't understand bitcoin.   Roll Eyes
4567  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm going to warn you guys one last time. on: September 26, 2014, 05:42:37 PM
Here are some kinds who found a use for fiat money. Stacks of it make great building blocks. And they are guaranteed by the German government!

4568  Other / Off-topic / Re: IS UFO or ALIENS are real ? on: September 26, 2014, 05:35:08 PM
For me it is no doubt that they are real

Quote
Why is that? Why is there no doubt?

Common sense

Please elaborate because merely saying 'common sense' tells us nothing. Some may argue that it's 'common sense' that god exists, but those people are idiots, just like the people who believe in aliens for no reason whatsoever.

It may be common to think that way, but there is no sense involved.
The FACT is there has never been life or fossils or any evidence of life other than Earthlings does not mean there is no life elsewhere. But it should leave some doubt.
4569  Other / Off-topic / Re: IS UFO or ALIENS are real ? on: September 26, 2014, 04:28:07 PM
There is no evidence whatsoever. But, there is a lot of space out there.

UPDATE: Yesterday I helped them set up a basic BitPay account and walked them through their first BTC sale; Just a box of ammo and an ID holder. Tomorrow we'll try it with a pistol purchase!
4571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where is Bitcoin? on: September 26, 2014, 03:25:43 PM
I called them up to re-activate my PayPal account. When the operator did not know what I was talking about I said I would call back later when they have bitcoin integrated.
We could all start calling them and let them know we are interested.
4572  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm going to warn you guys one last time. on: September 26, 2014, 02:41:50 PM
I thought this was your last warning? Why do you keep creating new threads?

4574  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Muslim BS on: September 25, 2014, 02:14:46 PM
I'm not a Muslim, but my understanding of why eyebrow waxing and most make-up is considered haram is related to a distraction of God's beauty. This is not a belief shared by all Muslims. But for some, a painting of a beautiful woman is a vain celebration of flesh over God's beauty. Islamic art celebrates the beauty found in mathematical patterns. These patterns are seen as part of a universal truth created by God and are only discovered by people.

There are other passages in the Koran and other Islamic books concerning make-up that can be problematic for some Muslims. For example some believe that make-up is ok as long as water can pass through it. Henna, for example, is OK in this interpretation. I also see women in the region who get their nails done then chip off some of the nail polish so that water can get past it.
4575  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Muslim BS on: September 24, 2014, 08:21:40 PM

Why, you too pussy to talk shit about black men, or any other non-whites? Be assured, rest of the world will be laughing as white people fuck you to pieces. You got no balls, muslim Cheesy

That's pretty tough talk from a country that just got it's ass handed to it by Muslims in the last two wars. And now we are stumbling around in the dark fighting IS. I used to see guys talk like this in Iraq. They don't do that anymore. And the smart ones stopped talking shit at Hattin in 1187.

There's no actual evidence the troll, Honeypot, is from the USA.  His time zone does not indicate that.  He probably hasn't gotten out of his momma's basement long enough to even figure out what country he's in.

Ah. Well, he could find all sorts of reasons to criticize some of the crackpot interpretations of Islam. The crap IS is into is straight out of the dark ages. But lumping people together never ends with the truth. It would be like saying all Christians are.... or all fat people are...
The reality that I know you know is people are people. IMO, most people are kind and want peace for each other and themselves.
Anyway thanks Spendulus, I should have known better. Even his name is a clue.
Added to Ignore list.

I wonder if that is what happened to me? I sync with the network using an old empty wallet. Two days ago I noticed my "empty" wallet had 1 Satoshi in it. I thought I had just forgotten it was there, but now I wonder if it was a transfer? I'll have to check tonight.

4578  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is the government going to copy bitcoin and leave us high and dry ? on: September 24, 2014, 07:50:45 PM
The government is welcome to buy bitcoin also. But remember that does not give them any control over bitcoin. I mean, I own a fair amount, does that mean I can control yours?

People that think the government is out to get them will believe what they want to believe. Despite the fact that no one has shown a way for a gov to do anything about people using them.  Now, if by "copy" you mean creating an alt coin like bitcoin, then maybe they will. But will you sell your bitcoin and switch to Gov-coins? I know I wont.

There really is nothing that can be done about bitcoin even if they wanted to. And there is no evidence that they want to hurt bitcoin.
4579  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Guaging interest in gun sales for bitcoin on: September 24, 2014, 07:40:50 PM
Oh what are the legality issues that pertain to recreational guns for hunting?

Also, can you buy parts and bows (things of that nature) through BTC?

All laws still apply. If it is a handgun you will have to wait for a background check, etc. But it is a full service gun shop and I don't think there are many/any laws about buying archery equipment. Everything is the same except now you will have the option to pay with BTC. I'll know more after I meet with them Saturday. That will be their first sale.

Whether does the firearms require authentication?
But Bitcoin is anonymity
You won't be able to buy anonymously. There are a lot of gun laws involving fingerprints and keeping records. These guys are mostly former cops and would not sell to criminals. No "black market reloaded" stuff here.

I've sold a hand fun of guns for Bitcoin.

Gl with your shop & GJ.

Thanks for your kind note. I have bought a gun for bitcoin, but Saturday will be my first in person purchase. I'm thinking about adding a Volquartsen trigger kit. I shot a friends Mark III with one of those triggers and it was sweet.
4580  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Muslim BS on: September 24, 2014, 07:18:11 PM
the Bible is BS, the Koran, the Bhagavad Gita, the book of the dead, Jim Jones's speeches. Religion is BS. Why just pick one?  Why all the hate?

I know a lot of Muslims and they are the same as everyone.
لدي احترام جميع الناس. باستثناء المتعصبين.

P.S. I spend a lot of time in the Muslim world. I will be going back there soon and look forward to the most hospitable people I have met. No where in Africa, Europe, Central/South/ North America, or Aisa have people been as kind to strangers as in the middle east.
