4581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think, India lifting the ban on cryptocurrencies will impact BTC Price? on: March 19, 2020, 06:11:49 PM
The legality of using bitcoin will have a positive impact on the growth of bitcoin users in a country and in this case India. India which previously banned bitcoin and altcoin has now lifted the ban. For a global scale, prices may not be influenced by the legality of a country against the use of bitcoin, but this will increase the popularity of bitcoin in the country through its users.

The price of bitcoin is basically influenced by demand and supply in the market, if the population of India, including investors intend to buy large amounts of bitcoin after the legality is obtained, then there is a possibility that prices will increase. And now what is causing the price of bitcoin to increase?
4582  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there are so many people who get addicted on gambling? on: March 19, 2020, 03:01:57 PM
I am sure the answers to OP questions will vary because not all gamblers have the same desires and goals. Gambling is a game and almost all games will make players addicted and the level of addiction will be different from each other.

If my goal in gambling is to get money, then I will try to achieve it even if I suffer defeat after defeat before I win the bet and I am sure the answer will be different if the goal of betting is for pleasure.

I must say that what you said is the right thing and if it is made in the form of a list then the results might be like this:
1. Graph analysis
2. Developers activities
3. News

But if it is me then I have to add a few points including:
1. Trading volume
2. Graph analysis
3. Developers activities
4. News

Before I start analyzing the graph, I have to see how big the trading volume is because it is very important and if the trading volume is very small then I am sure that the asset is not an asset that is suitable for us to trade.

Everyone has the same opportunity if they want to become a member with a higher ranking after the merit system is implemented in the forum. Many users have proven that this merit system will not prevent members who have quality and useful posts from rising to higher rankings. I am a user who joined the forum after the merit system was implemented and I managed to prove that if we can make quality posts then we will have the opportunity to move up to a higher ranking than before and now you have also proven it.

But I get good advice from someone about merit "never make a post just to get an merit because such behavior will only make people think that you are a materialistic user and focus on posting something useful so that people will respect you".

I become a victims of fake signal from telegram and my friends become a victims of telegram group ICO's.
Signals shared to telegram groups are often disastrous for a group of people who invest in cryptocurrency. Trusting these signals without doing your own analysis is one of the careless things to invest. Cryptocurrency investments are very risky and if we want to try to enter the zone we must be prepared with all these risks.

The ongoing ICO project very often makes investors lose money because the reality is not in line with expectations. When I was active as a bounty hunter, I also felt the same and I never felt the sweetness of hope when the campaign ended. 2018 and 2019 are the years when many ICOs failed and ended in scam and it is possible that many investors also drowned by it.
4588  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What age would you recommend the forum to ? on: March 09, 2020, 05:59:09 PM
The bitcointalk.org forum is a place where other bitcoin and altcoin community members gather and discuss prices, developments, speculations and so on. If someone recommends this forum to children under 16 years old as a means of making money, this forum may not be suitable for them because children under 16 years old shouldnt think of ways to make money. But if the bitcointalk.org forum is recommended as a means to gain knowledge about bitcoin and other altcoins in terms of responding to technological developments then they must be over 13 years old and need supervision and guidance from experts.

Without guidance from an expert, we will only see that the meta and beginner & help are filled with questions that will only make a small portion of forum users ignore them. I do not think that my assumptions are entirely correct, but it is good for children under 16 not to be faced with serious problems such as bitcoin and other cryptocurrency if the primary purpose is to make money.

I am answering with my candidates:

1. Daniel91 - Member since 2014, Legendary rank and our merit source
2. Lucius - Member since 2015 and Legendary rank
3. marlboroza - Member since 2016 and Legendary rank, hate him or love him, you all know him
I am sure that the 3 names that you are proposing to become potential moderators on your local board are qualified and experienced users and have high rankings. But that is still not enough because the proposal is only your own assumption and does not yet have the support of most users on your local board.

In your local board, I am very sure that there are enough qualified and experienced users to be a moderator including yourself, try making a polling thread by submitting 3-7 names or more (high-quality, experienced, contributing users, not necessarily ranked high but not a newbie) so that your local board user has the right to choose who deserves to be a moderator there and in my opinion this is a good way because the name that gets the most support is what your local board wants most there.

To achieve success, the process is learning, reading, listening and practicing. Everything is related to each other, you have to learn from other user experiences, read from other user writings, listen to other user suggestions and you have to practice it.

I do not understand your point here; good listeners?
Based on my assumptions about good listeners in the OP above are all users who have positions (Moderator, staff and others) in this forum and the ranking in this forum is that they are good listeners so they are worthy of their current position and ranking. Just because the way the OP says it is incorrect will make other users think it is wrong.

What are they to listen to? The cries of merit hungry newbies?
Newbie in my opinion are an important part of the forum and not all newbie are stupid, dont want to know, dont care about the rules and those who have quality posts will be highly valued by forum users. This merit system exists because theymos want forum users to post something of quality and so far I know many newbie will consider this system as a barrier to their ranking so they need the right guidance.
If a newbie is thirsty for merit but he is able to post something of quality then that merit is something that must be sent to him, but if they ask and complain about merit then I think it will only make a lot of people ignore it.

Dude,
Tbh.. i am waiting your quality thread published again in our local forum.
Actually I really want to make a thread on a local Indonesian board and help the bitcoin community there as much as I can, but your guess is right. I am busy with a work schedule and also my PC that was damaged. Be patient mate, I am thinking of something great to share with the community there and I hope you will like it too.

I ask you, please, take some of your free time to write the thread like you were used to. I have archived some of your threads using arweave ...
Oh really ? I am glad to hear that mate and I appreciate your efforts. Wink

This is the last thread I made and shared with the local community, I hope you like it and try to provide constructive support and advice to be useful and of quality to all communities. Cool

It seems tougher to receive Merit atm than it used to be. Maybe I’ve become a shit poster Grin
It seems that does not mean anything to you LFC_Bitcoin because I can observe that you have received 504 merit in the last 120 days. Is that number important to you, mate? I think you are just kidding and you dont have to bother proving to this community because you are the 13th user on the list as the recipient of the most merit. Look at this and I think you know that too. Tongue

I agree with your opinion. The rules of this campaign are very strange and different from most other signature campaigns. I have seen user comments that also say so and managers may have to consider better rules so they dont get negative responses from most applicants.

I am also worried about the costs for participants who are senior members, the amount is quite small and obviously it is not an appropriate payment for those who can make high quality posts. Ignore, maybe thats the best way if managers dont change rules better and are familiar.
4595  Other / Meta / Re: + 2000 Activity & + 2000 Merit on: March 03, 2020, 11:19:08 AM
Congratulations LFC_Bitcoin, you have done your best and now you deserve to be a user who has received nearly 2,000 merit so far this system exists and now you have collected 1,745 merit from 1,320 records. I am very sure that you will soon get 2,000 merit and immediately enter the list of users who get 2000 merit. There arent many people who can achieve something like you, and I think you should be proud of that and sand lo and behold, he is the first user to send you merit DeathAngel Cheesy

4596  Other / Meta / Re: Do you remember who sent you the first Merit? on: March 03, 2020, 10:53:53 AM
Yes I have to remember it and this is my first merit sent by "Cuero". [Diskusi] Menata Legalitas Cryptocurrency di Indonesia.
It seems like now everyone doesnt have to bother searching for posts where their first merit gets. BPIP gives us the ease to find out with step: https://bpip.org/smerit.aspx?to=your username and you will see who sent the first merit to you and its at the end of the list. Wink
Please try and it is truly amazing.

Happy second birthday to me on the bitcointalk.org

Hi mate and the bitcoin community, today is March 3, 2020 and today I must tell you all that I am celebrating my second birthday at the biggest bitcoin discussion forum ever bitcointalk.org. I feel great happiness because this forum has changed my life for the better from my knowledge of bitcoin, experiences, interactions between fellow bitcoin communities and so on until I also get additional income such as from signature campaigns and trading.

I am one of thousands of users from Indonesia who joined this discussion forum after the merit system was implemented by Theymos and this I have explained in the OP [Self-Made Senior Member] From Newbie To Senior Member & Now OTW to Hero Member. During the two years I was active in the forum there were actually many targets that had not been achieved in terms of knowledge and experience and other matters.
The following are some of the things that I have achieved over the past two years and I hope you don't compare them with other well-known users because my achievements are so far from them and it's almost impossible for me to be the same with them.
  • Improve the quality of posts for the better and more useful and reduce the potential for deletion due to poor quality posts.
  • Become a user who gets 447 merit from other users over the past 2 years.
  • Send 208 sMerit to a number of users on posts that I think are appropriate.
  • Has the most recognized achievements based on the BPIP website which is in position 705.
  • Successfully rank-up to become a Junior, Member, Full Member, Sr Member and now on his way to becoming a Hero Member (Just waiting for 32 activities and 53 merit that have not been sufficient).
  • etc

Honestly, from all that I have achieved above it might not be meaningful if there is no help from all of you and I hope and to try increase my contribution in this discussion forum and become a useful user for other users. Without your help and motivation, I am nothing anythink. Thank you mate, I wish you all the best.
4598  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I earn from this forum? on: March 02, 2020, 04:42:30 PM

Fortunately not everyone here can think wisely so that both of them have connections and need each other. I am not going to argue that everyone needs money to pay for all their needs every day but if we can simplify a little mindset then we will choose to gain knowledge first rather than directly to the target of getting money.

Prioritizing knowledge, money will be very easy to produce. Without knowledge, money is very difficult to get, especially if someone wants to get it in this bitcointalk forum. The reason that might be considered wrong in my opinion is if someone only knows how to get money through several aspects such as bounty campaigns and signatures.

However, if we prioritize knowledge, there are enough ways to get it, such as trade, investment, loans, escrow services, website creation services, signature codes, translators, and more. What is wrong with them ? and in my opinion just a different perspective. Do users who dont use signatures get no money? Maybe they could be traders or investors or miners and so on.

My advice to the OP is to prioritize knowledge and skills and with that we will also get money. In this forum there is a lot of knowledge that has been shared by those who are experienced and when we can adopt it we will also be able to get results rather than what we have done. Not everyone here makes money because of signatures or bounty, but there are dozens and even hundreds of other ways we can do if the goal is to make money.
4599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Collective DEX Volume is Starting to Outperform Some Major Exchanges on: March 02, 2020, 03:48:21 PM
A legit DEX is much more transparent and secure than a Centralized exchanges.
Maybe I should also admit it, but many things that are considered traders prefer centralized exchange over DEX are price differences. If the asking price of a token traded on an exchange such as OKEX or others is valued at $5, then at DEX the requested price is usually lower. Although the level of transparency in DEX its better than centralized exchange but I think many people will choose centralized exchange if the price difference between the two exchanges is much different.
