Forget Ripple. Jed already dumped his pre-mine, and now he has forked Ripple into Stellar. Go on and get your Stellars then. Grin

How to get some Stellars. Do Stellars has value.

Really? Those Stellars everyone is talking about are forked Ripples? Holy cow... The thing is: Altcoins really don't get my attention anymore. I just stay with BTC I guess. It's the safest bet because it's the one with the biggest traction and active development.

When BTC is back in a strong bull market, I think we might see 2013-like bubbles in altcoins again. They will get your attention again then. Wink

Its all down hill from here. take the money and run.

The Obama regime has 'lost or destroyed 'the emails, of 20 witnesses...according to Darryl Issa.  I am going with 'destroyed.'   Absolutely unbelievable. Out in the open, in your face criminal destruction of evidence. Where is Eric Holder???  Too busy protecting the Liar-in-Chief.  And the media still carrying the water for Obama....so pathetic!

Lost emails scandal spreads to top Obamacare official

The Obama administration admitted Thursday that it has lost emails from the key official who oversaw the botched federal Obamacare rollout last year, and the health department may have broken the law by failing to report the lost emails to the National Archives.

Marilyn Tavenner, head of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, thought she had saved the emails as official records but now realizes they “might not be retrievable,” the Health and Human Services Department said in a letter to Congress detailing the problem.

You're stupid as fuck. Obama is being hung out as a scape goat to disguise what is really happening.

Care to elaborate on the intricacies of this matter?  Who's hanging Obama (pardon the racial undertone, r3wt said it)?  Holder?  Kennedys?  Sebelius?
its just politics. nothing is ever what it seems

uhh nobody did answer me..

how the hell did he think the id was fake ?
sorry i am not taking an exchanges word for it lol

He was just hoping that nobody would call him on it. He knows he's full of shit and is probably not coming back.

My thoughts as well. He's just giving the user the run around and had no intention of returning stolen funds

Your coins are your responsibility. Not leaving a significant amount in the hands of a third party is a pretty basic thing.
+1

It is your own fault for giving your coins to coinbase in the first place. This is the nature of bitcoin.

You are implying that Coinbase had something to do with the coins being stolen, when they probably didn't.

He most certainly wasn't. you might have a problem interpreting english correctly if thats what you deducted from his statement. He was scolding the user for leaving so much funds sitting on the wallet of an exchange account.
470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would some Regulation in the Altcoin space be welcome? on: August 08, 2014, 07:03:03 PM
the fact is that the whole scene needs regulation and transparency.
Those who try to argue, that regulation is against the "religion of cryptos" are just trying to protect their intrest (so they can continue scamming and play in the inner circle).

If someone at these times (after gox and many other horrible things) tries to sell "freedom" in the form of cryptos, hes bullshiting hard.

this. Bitcoin is freedom through regulatory consensus algorithm, but this doesn't mean it shouldn't be externally regulated to protect consumers.

As far as I know, BCX would be a decent Altcoin mod. I'm familiar with the controversies which happened, what like two years ago? I will say that BCX has been a longstanding member of the alt coin community, and while rather blunt in most cases, would know what they are doing.

I have to agree. Scam coin creators will writhe in fear with BCX watching their every move. Of course this means there will be attempts to buy BCX's power, and other attempts to pay for a momentary error in judgement to allow a scam to slip through. How does BCX respond to this concern?

glad they caught the guy. Wait till the guys in prison find out he's a baby raper

he's not been caught yet sadly that he is still roaming around freely

Then how was it the police have the picture of him and know how that it was him would did this to the baby? there is no face caught on camera, is witness testimony involved?
473  Other / Off-topic / Re: FUCK THIS SHIT! Here's why I'm moving. on: August 07, 2014, 01:57:05 PM
Oh, I see now, it is highest and lowest temperature of day.
I wouldn't say 24 Celsius/75 Fahrenheit is unbearable.

It is 85 Fahrenheit in here atm, makes you sweat if you walk but not unbearable.
I would love if it would be 65-70 Fahrenheit all the time.

For me 85 Fahrenheit+ means writing the day off of all productivity, too hot also for beach unless its cloudy.

I agree on 65-70 all the time would be perfect.

Normally its 85-105 all summer here in Arkansas, but this year i don't think its topped 90 all summer. I remember thinking how weird it was that this summer was so cool. Rained alot too, which is unusual.

Spoetnik, c'mon man. you're not even trying anymore. Big Vern programmed atari's at 12 years old. He's one of, if not the most highly recommended Ecommerce web developers in the game. he has thousands of recommendations on LinkedIn. Mention his name as a reference in a job interview = you get a job. Dude is more important than you will ever be, and he's a damn good developer. FWIW, he's also pretty cool once you get to know him, and he gives solid advice.

Am i cheerleading? Nope. I don't like some things they've done in the past, and you can ask any employee @ cryptsy i'm very vocal in airing a complaint, i just don't do it on the forum which is what a child does for attention. I contact the person directly and handle it. I told vern hey, i don't like xyz, or hey i think you should change the way xyz works. it would be more efficient. or hey xyz sometimes shows xyz message when condition w is met. the customer should never see that message.

I do have an outstanding complaint about a feature of the site, and i will not comment about it publicly but at the time of this writing it hasn't been fixed yet. i would consider it mission critical, and i've reported it, but you know, its whatever at this point.
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A Reddit user is claiming to be a whistleblower from the Federal Reserve... on: August 06, 2014, 08:38:41 AM
Until this is verified I'm going to ignore it. This is quite a claim to post with no evidence whatsoever.
Exactly. more than likely a ploy to help the op sell higher than the price he bought in at.

How bout you round up people willing to join a class action for their refusal to patch their api vulnerability that allowed the email address/ Account Holder name to be disclosed through their api with no rate limiting at all, that ultimately resulted in the leaking of 1300 emails/usernames on coinbase. happend april 1, of 2014.

I would probably start some type of bitcoin related business. after paying back everyone i owe from OpenEx,first. oh and i got about 2k in back childsupport that got awarded against me. Then i might give some away or something.
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why you can't use "0.1" in bitcoin code safely on: August 05, 2014, 09:55:21 PM
We're not doing any math with the block reward code, other than the initial <value> * COIN, so one might argue, the issue of block halving would become an issue far sooner than the block reward, since there could be feasibly some precision loss and desynchronization accross different platforms once the formula moves from <value> * COIN to <value>/2 * COIN;

there are probably safeguards in place to prevent this anyway, probably thought of by the original creator of bitcoin. Also, remember bitcoin units are only required to be precise to 8 decimal places, leaving a rather large margin of error.
