461  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the world really needs virtual currencies on: October 10, 2017, 10:01:43 PM
Cryptocurrency*, and this is because we need to evolutionate, and try to use new different payment gateways, we used to pay with gold in the past, a few centuries ago, and now the idea is to start using digital currencies. Maybe it would be a nice idea to have virtual usd, but that is the real purpose of debit and credit cards, or maybe online banking accounts.
But it is good, we need to improve and move toward the new technologies, this is the future.
Correct, the world needs cryptocurrencies because it is the future, we cannot keep using pieces of paper, that is a very old concept crypto is new and it is way better than any fiat, we just need people to realize that and then it is over for fiat.
462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: would you live in a country that use bitcoin as official currency? on: October 04, 2017, 04:57:11 AM
it's just impossible to have a country that use bitcoin as an official currency. since bitcoin is a crypto currency that runs around the internet. the thing that is possible is a country that uses a coin similar to bitcoin. like uno coin of india but it's not their official currency.
I am waiting to hear this news very much anxiously. I am very much positive that thing will happen in any country in the very near future. As far as living in that country is concerned, I personally will love to live in the country where Bitcoin will be used as official currency. I think this will be the best place to live at that time.
A country that adopted bitcoin to that extend will benefit immediately since many people will go there and visit it or may even decide they want to live there for the rest of their lives.
463  Economy / Economics / Re: 1Bitcoin as a gift from someone on: October 04, 2017, 04:48:10 AM
I would love to be gifted a full bitcoin from someone but at the same time I don't really want it to happen. Certainly if bitcoin becomes really big. Then I would be pretty rich and the person who gifted it to me might have some regret. Therefore I would probably feel like I owe them and I don't want that.
You could always sell it and share the profits, while no one is going to give to us a bitcoin, think of it this way, if that person gave to you a bitcoin and he ended with no bitcoin, then you could see that as if you were his escrow, he would have spent that coin in some place anyway but you keep it safe from him and then you share the rewards.
464  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin starts to rise on: October 04, 2017, 04:31:36 AM
yes, indeed it's currently seen that the price movement of bitcoin is in the process of rising than ever before. Maybe it will reach $4500 again or even exceed it, but i'm sure next month it seems there will be a drastic rise i guess. Whatever affects to bitcoin prices, i just hope bitcoin can continues to leads to an increasing and give a good hope to everyone to be able get a satisfactory profit.

I just hope that it will increase high before December, i woll just keep my btc as well my other alts until December ,will just hold it until to decide whether to trade it or convert to fiat. For now as long as it recover drom ita dump then its a good news.
I am also hoping that bitcoin will increase before December, because I think that bitcoin will rise by the end of the year. And I am hoping for that. There is always a possibility for it. But if ever bitcoin drops I will still hold it and wait for it to recover again and decide whether to still save it or convert it into fiat.
the main thing is not to panic, we just expect that Bitcoin will give us in the near future. There are a lot of predictions regarding the positive results of Bitcoin's new split in November. This is of course alarming, but apparently there is nothing wrong to expect users to not. As for Bitcoin pricing, by the end of the year we will see a new record high of the Bitcoin price.
Do you think we will be surprised at the end of this year? The price of Bitcoin has dumped many times, but it never really fall down to lowest price in this year after increases from March till today. The end of this year really a good time to helps whales make that.
That is just my prediction that maybe by the end of the year bitcoin price will rise. Today, bitcoin already recovers. It is now $4000. This end of the year I guess we can really have a Happy new year next year.  Cheesy
So, I'll just wait for the price to increase for me also to gain profit as well.
I’m convinced the price of bitcoin is going to go up, the hard fork that is coming is not going to have a such a huge effect or the effect may even be positive if the users are happy that the miners leave for another coin and allow the devs to work undisturbed.
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your favorite coin for investment on: October 04, 2017, 04:24:23 AM
I think on the long term Ethereum has a very good potential, because of trends like ICOs and tokenization.
I do not know about that, many other projects with new ideas are hitting the market and all have the same idea in mind to defeat ETH once and for all so I think difficult times come for ETH.
466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think LTC go up soon? on: October 04, 2017, 04:16:41 AM
What do you think about LTC? Its price go up soon?
Is this time to buy LTC?
No not at the moment, the price may go up but it is not going to remain there because it is going to be mostly speculation and nothing more, but do not worry litecoin is a solid coin and it will go up eventually.
467  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Escrow Guide on: October 04, 2017, 04:09:36 AM
I would be very careful with forum escrow as multiple of them have ripped off users.
Only untrusted ones, some escrows have been around for a very long time and have escrowed millions of dollars sometimes in a  single transaction and yet they have not scammed a single cent.
468  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you see trading as fun and games? on: October 04, 2017, 04:01:02 AM
For me trading is a serious issue, not fun. Because it's give you lot's of profit if you can trade rightly. games is really different from it,trading is some serious stuff.
Yeah if you want to see something as a game then do something that is enjoyable and that as that has that as its end, investing and trading only have one component in mind and that is to make a lot of money, that is it.
469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why can't core derail the Segwit2X by launching the Bitcoin Hardfork ? on: October 04, 2017, 03:51:33 AM
Several Core developers began working on a safe hard fork proposal. The game theory behind a renewed push, right now, would give a decisive blow to 2X supporters.

I know a lot of people (including me) are against any hard fork. But I also know it's probably going to happen sooner or later. Why not use it to be done with the poisonous BCASH and 2X movements? It would be a win for everyone who loves Bitcoin.
I’m not an expert but a hard fork is the last option, the devs do not want to use it unless they are forced to do it, besides if they are the ones that hard fork the chain, then they will be the ones creating an altcoin and they want to follow the original chain, so if the segwit2x miners want to fork let them.
470  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: just a simple question? on: October 03, 2017, 07:14:05 PM
Why is china so influential with bitcoin prices?
Because they have a lot of bitcoin, there are many exchanges there with a lot of volume and because the miners are mostly in China territory once that changes China is going to lose most of its influence.
471  Economy / Marketplace / Re: enough bitcoins to start small project ? on: October 03, 2017, 07:02:16 PM
i if want to start small project (site)

how much i need for basic one ? OR complex one ?

A faucet for example could cost you more then +1000$ because If you are serious about it, you should hire designers, make it unique compared to others (competitive rates etc.) and mostly, protect it from bots and multi accounts (a Captcha is not enough), this is the only way to insure that both you and your users will make profit. A gambling site (which I don't recommend even If it was easy to start) will clearly cost much more, development, security etc. are top priority otherwise you will get hacked in no time but most of the funds should be for paying users.

Well to start a faucet business, you don't need to have 1000 dollars in your pocket. There are many readymade scripts available out there which are very good and strong against bots. Just contact user Avalon  for the script. His script is really very good and one of the best. It costs nearly 25 dollars. He is providing many addons also for less price. Nowadays most of the faucet owners are using his script for their faucets.
Maybe he means the long term costs? You need to have a website, hosting, captcha protection, and you need money to give away to those that claim from the faucet so I could easily see that costing a few hundred bucks per month.
472  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - time to buy or sell? on: October 03, 2017, 06:53:02 PM
With Bitcoin falling so much this week/month, do you think it's a great opportunity to buy in or time to cash out?
As long as the price still has not skyrocketed then it is still the time to buy even if the price may be a little bit too high at the moment but in the long term that is not really relevant.
473  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this Forum full of 'normal people' who over the years became filthy rich? on: October 03, 2017, 06:46:51 PM
Hi there

I was thinking
Bitcoin must have created a biiig amount of new millionairs, doesn't it?
I mean people who got interested in bitcoins early, liberals, doomsday government critics, criminals and drug users who used silk road, normal poor people like me. There must be a vast amount of cracy stories of people finding themselves filthy rich.
Did you get rich? Would be very interested in stories.

Mine:
I invested about 10k in bitcoin at about 600 usd, that was about 4 years ago. Was all my money at that time, i saved it in the 6 years before that. Read some book about where to safely invest that did not mention bitcoin at all, then i saw video about bitcoin and put money there.
Then it went lower for more than a year, down to 200usd. When it finally went over 600 again, i sold 1/3rd, argh Smiley
So it's about 8x to 80k now. Great stuff, but 80k is not exactly big money. (But it's big compared to my income, it's about 8 years of my salary actually)
Stupidly i did not put my money i saved in these years into bitcoin.. i just did put it again into Bitcoin recently - i decided to go all in again. The bet is that bitcoin goes to 7k or above in next 5 years. (If it goes below 3500 i start to lose my not-yet-realised wins, if it goes to 7k i will have 200k, if it goes to 15k i will have 400k; - 200k and 400k (euros) means different amounts of financial freedom for me: of not 'having' to work to just survive, but to have income through just having money. (6% interest of 200k is 12k euros per year. I can live off that)

Your strategy is good, but you must understand that many people sold when the price was much lower, the temptation to sell becomes too great, if you bought for 50 cents and bitcoin is worth 10 dollars then most people would have sold, only a few kept holding for a long time.
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: October 03, 2017, 06:35:06 PM
I believe Bitcoin has a future in long term. It proved itself in the past years and it is getting widely popular. It just has a transaction fee problem atm.

What about the altcoins? Who does use them for real? Will people use them in the future for real purpose?

I only have a hope for ethereum and litecoin, but not for the rest. I am not even sure for eth and ltc.

If bitcoin solves the reansaction fee and time problem, I doubt eth and ltc even have a future.
Many altcoins have no future at all I will probably say that most altcoins are going to disappear in the next 5 years but a new batch of altcoin are going to be created to replace them, at most 50 projects that are running right now will survive in the next 5 years.
475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best crypto to buy now? on: October 03, 2017, 06:28:16 PM
Hi - Newbie here..I would like to put down 1000 USD next week.. What would your advice be to me?
I really like waves you can still get for relatively cheap since I have no doubt that coin is going to go up to 10 times in the next years, so to me that is a very safe choice.
476  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day Trading on: October 02, 2017, 11:43:59 PM
I've been thinking for a bit about day trading Bitcoin, and am curious, what is a good amount to start with? Would it be possible to start with maybe $100-200 and work my way up?

Sorry if i'm posting in the wrong section, pretty new to forums here.
You could start with that, but what are your goals? That is the most important thing, if you think you can begin with that amount and then trade millions then that is going to be impossible, but if you want to start with that and trade with a few thousands then that is possible.
477  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the world really needs virtual currencies on: October 02, 2017, 11:18:12 PM
I came across an article this morning that, to me, really shows why the world needs a virtual currency. I'm from England, and there's a saying here that goes: "When America sneezes, the rest of the world catches a cold." The article discusses the history of the Asian Financial Crisis, and how we may be heading toward something similar.

It amazes me that we have a currency that can potentially protect us (working people) from global financial crises. This is unique and incredible time in history!  Grin

https://www.rt.com/op-edge/398890-financial-crisis-asia-curency/
Not only bitcoin can protect us from the side effects of misguided economic policies it can also protect us from the tyranny of governments and that is not a small thing at all.
478  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you see trading as fun and games? on: October 01, 2017, 12:18:57 AM
I will never be able to see trading bitcoin as just fun and games, even if the money I’m trading is not that big and it is not going to change my life I do everything I can to remain serious and concentrated when I trade, I do not like to lose money and I will like it even less if thought I could do a better effort.
479  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Would this be a good idea? on: October 01, 2017, 12:09:06 AM
I have funds outside of Bitcoin, do you think a service where I buy for things that only accept real cash i.e https://g2a.com, amazon.com or anything else. And I receive Bitcoin?
Obviously escrow can be used, or people can pay upfront, whatever the case is.

Bottom line, is this a good idea?

It could be possible but you seem to have very high red trust, and since you are going to receive bitcoin for some reversible payment method then it is unlikely that many people are going to trust in you.
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SONM will explode on: October 01, 2017, 12:02:00 AM
Just to let you know that SONM will be listed on Binance Exchange, And this update would explode the value of SONM (from ground to the MOON).

Current value:

SONM $0.084460 (36.12%)

And soon, it will be added on Bittrex and might exceed the value of Golem and iEXEC.

This is very much awaiting project that you might not too missed.
Days have passed since the announcement and nothing even close to an explosion has happened maybe we should judge a coin by its merits and not by the amount of exchanges that list the coin.
