Many of you must have dealt with Anthariksh V (wilson) - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=116554I paid him 1,50,000 /- (One Lakh Fifty Thousand) for 3.937 BTC on 19th March, 2014 but he has still not given me the BTC always coming up with one excuse or the other and now his phone is unreachable. He first said he will pay me after receiving the money, then he said 48 hours, later he said 24th March, then 25th and then 27th but now he has not replied for 2 days and his phone is unreachable. I have actually dealt with him a couple of times since 2013 but lately he seemed desperate for money and was acting weird. But i still paid him because i had bought from him many times. EDIT - HE IS A SCAMMER. No BTC/Money for close to a month now. Maybe I can report this scam to the IT Department and the Police. On earlier occasions, I have paid him for BTC to many different accounts. This time, i paid the 1,50,000/- to abhijith venkataraman Potential Scammer Details:Name : Anthariksh V City : Bangalore Forum Profile : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=116554Update April 11, 2014: This guy is a scammer. How can you just come up with random numbers related to Bitcoins?
It's highly unlikely (actually almost impossible) that India has 8% of Bitcoins. Even countries with high end miners easily accessible and with high percentage of early adopters may not have such high percentage of Bitcoins. The Indian forum hardly has any activity. 4000+ crores is a lot of money. Even a few million dollars can cause wild swings in Bitcoin prices but announcements in India have no effect on Bitcoin because there are hardly any coins here in India.
India may have 15% of world population but only 1% of that has broadband access. Compared to world broadband access, India may have about 3% share. Also consider that broadband users from other countries have much higher income. If they come up with a list of users and approximate Bitcoins with them, they will wonder where the rest of the Bitcoins have gone! Better not to get authorities to react based on speculation.

10K is very real for 2014! Look at the charts ... we have 13$ at January and we'll hit 1300$ by the end of the year. That's a staggering 1000 times up!
So if we get 500 times up till Dec 2014 ... that's about 500K. Think about it... It's never going back below 1000$, it's only up, up ... unless some drastic news screw it back to zero. But that will be the end of it!
Correction ... it's 100 times, not 1000 but you get the picture
I need to learn some of your Math. We could make good profits

In the near future, even 1 second maybe too long a wait! It's not about the past - it's about the future.
Let's talk about the present! And NOW we have that BTC transactions are times (or even by orders) faster than the bank ones, lol This is a bears thread. There's nothing for the bears at present with the raging prices lol Anyway the party will come to an end some day and some may be left with worthless coins if they don't enjoy the present and the few months ahead! Technology progresses rapidly once a start is made somewhere.

I don't think Bitcoin will be the future crypto currency. With the instant internet age, people don't have the time to wait even 1+ minutes for transactions to take place and then there's no solution for the ever increasing Blockchain size. No way Bitcoin will be handle 100,000 transactions per second. Bitcoin is experimental and has too many flaws to be successful.
Do you have a bank account (or had in the past)? In the near future, even 1 second maybe too long a wait! It's not about the past - it's about the future.

I don't think Bitcoin will be the future crypto currency. With the instant internet age, people don't have the time to wait even 1+ minutes for transactions to take place and then there's no solution for the ever increasing Blockchain size. No way Bitcoin will be able to handle 100,000+ transactions per second. Bitcoin is experimental and has too many flaws to be successful. I believe a better digital currency will come to replace Bitcoin and it may even be made by some government. All merchants will probably flock to use a government's digital currency. However, there's still no competition for Bitcoin yet except maybe Ripple so Bitcoin will keep rising in value for some more months (years?). Till then the bulls can enjoy the ride but don't forget to unload some coins on the way!

I tried this about a month ago and it was ok. The games that you can earn rewards to me are boring and the games that look interesting earn nothing
Games are just for some fun. The easiest way would be the Offers and trade-ins

....
I would like to hear you undermine this claim of mine: The only reason why somebody would go and exchange fiat for bitcoin right now (not counting speculation, store of value) is to spend it on Silkroad. Nobody in right mind would go and exchange it to btc only to buy something they could have bought instantly with traditional methods. And the only thing that they can't, are silkroad goods. YES if you already have bitcoins then you might use them on other stuff, if you mine, you will use them. But this is minority of people. I'm talking about general public. I have actually bought legal stuff worth $2000+ with Bitcoins (that i bought with fiat) and it was not payable by traditional methods. I never mined any Bitcoins. The world is big
