Got my L3+ end of September batch. Holding BTC (or even LTC) they already payed for themselves in less than 3 months !  I wasn't worrying too much about the L3+, but still, it is pretty damn good. Of course, BTC and LTC increase helped a lot, and that won't happened every day. So guys, how do you fell about the L3+ future ? How long do you think we can keep it running ? Do you fear bitmain L4 coming any time soon ? Why the fuck bitmain is waiting 4 months before the next delivery ? Just because they keep it to fill up their US mining farm ? Any thoughts are welcome ! |

If you calc that way you should nerver buy stuff with BTC, think about that guy who bought Pizza with what was it 20.000 BTC? Hopefully he got extra cheese for 340 millions ! can anyone please tell me what stale rejected shares are and how can I avoid them?  Stale shares are share that was submitted too late to the mining pool, and are no longer valid. The pool already moved on to the next block. Be sure your internet is reliable (not necessarily fast, but stable), and give a try to another pool. I already read that on google. Maybe someone who actually running stable D3s. but thanks anyway for your effort... p.s what 2048 and 512 means ? I have noticed that these values are changing Those numbers represent all your submitted stale shares last hour, so it will be different next hour ! They most likely comes from high latency. Hi, i am new here with s9. Is these stats ok? running for over 24hours now, had couple of times lost internet connection. Thanks https://imgur.com/a/qxOsRToo much HW on board one, but not that bad either. Chip temp is a little higher, but I believe S9 can run hotter than L3+. Just try to exchange PCI, and PSU. Maybe give a try to another pool. It is also good to clean the dust inside about once a month. Last thing, reduce the frequency a little. Maybe some expert will give you better advice. Do not hesitate to ask bitmain as well. |

If we are getting too many errors how do we fix or replace the issue without getting an entirely new machine?
Try to upload a picture with you miner status, will be much easier to help you. 10HW per hour is not much of an issue, 1000 is. Just a few thoughts: - Is it only on one board or the 4 of them ? Only one, and you can send just this one for repair and not the whole miner. - HW might come from high chip temp. How is your cooling system ? Try to stay under 70C. - Check / exchange every PCI plugs, exchange power supply, make sure you have enough electric power. - If it affect every boards, you can try to reduce the frequency a little. - Open a ticket with bitmain, and they will tell you what to do in case you can't fixed it yourself. |

This D3 is pretty unstable, nothing to compare with L3+ or S9. And it seems that there is different versions of it, not only different frequency setting. Anyway, Bitmain over-clocked them to 537 frequency which is too high, unless you live in Siberia. You will most likely have a lot of HW, boards showing xxx everyday, and have to reboot your miner pretty often. From what I have seen, you should try to stay under 80C to avoid trouble, and extend your D3 life. Seems like a general consensus. You can set your fan manually at 100% if you don't care about the noise, or you can reduce the frequency until you get something stable. I was running good at 506 with auto fan (now running undervolt / silent mode). Hi, I am new (sorry) are we talking PCB temp, or chip Temp? . On my D3 , the PCB Temp is about 55-60 degrees and the chip arround 78 -95 depending on the hour of the day . Is this operating temp, ok? Thanks
You should focus on the Chip temp. BUT some units have defective temp sensor and get unreliable stats, in that case go for the PCB. Again, 95C is too high, might work for a while, but definitely not good for your miner. keep under 80 as much as possible. |

Well if you were a true supporter of LTC and would think long term you would have bought up instead of waiting for it to drop. Why dont people learn. I know people that wait for Bitcoin to drop back ever since it was 8 bucks.... The volatility got me. I've been following LTC all year. it was going 20-40-20-40 then stable 40, then 40-60-40-60 then stable 60, then 60-80-80 and I was waiting for that last 60 and then it skyrocketed. :O now and future have only one way - too the moon!) i think, in 2018 LTC make 250-300$. Hi, I see a lot of members waiting for like 7 days and they didn't getting any profit.. After 14 days the price is dropping.. They screaming on bitcointalk and Twitter.. (some of them ) My answer.. Just wait! - Developers can't work 24 hours a day - don't check the twitter or ANN every hour  - a project in blockchain isn't a job for a week.. Be patient.. If you wait a year or a couple of months you get much more profit.hmm that advice would be good for the whales but what about the investors or traders who allocate all the capital they have for a project or coin and they want to profit quickly, is there a solution for that problem? You are right, it is hard to invest and forget about our investment. But there is no such thing as quick profit ! It's called gambling, and of course it can work very well... But I guess, if you have some money to through in crypto, you should be able to invest 500$ on a project and wait 6 month to a year for some profit. It doesn't fell like being a whale. |

I mean what if Dash doubles or triples this month would then the D3 possibly be able to recoup ROI I have one and one more coming tmrw getting about 200/mo I mean for right now I'll take it in the hopes that dash takes off FYI I don't sell any of the coins I mine I just pay my electric bill with cash and figure I pay less in electric for the amount in $$ of coins I mine per month so I look at it like I'm getting x amount of coins for less than if I were to buy them but I mine and HODL
lol now ROI is 29$/month, and DASH is quite high, even a X2 or X3 will only give 60$ around, so unless you find your D3 at 300$ do not buy it, useless and will cost you money Yup, not much to think about here: - If you got it already, then just hope/pray for the best ! Hi, everyone on this thread should ask bitmain for the official firmware update with the ability to regulate the chip voltage and the frequency also and a better fan regulation. We need a official firmware if we want to mantain the warrenty.

There is no such thing as perfect pool where you makes a shit lot's of money mining consistently 24/7. And It is normal to see your hashrate going up and down. You have to choose depending of what you think is the best for you (as much $ as possible per day, consistent pool, supporting dash network, ...). So here are a few exemples: - The more consistent are the one mining Dash directly. I would advice CoinMine.pl which is very good and stable. - Switching pool are, most of the time, a little better in USD per day, but they are much more unstable. Specially now that they are overloaded because of Nicehash down. You named Granatgas, Zpool, also multipool.us , prohashing. A new one: blockmunch.club - You can also mine some X11 shitcoin directly hoping for a bright future... Final thought: Once you have decided the way you want to mine, you must find yourself which one is the best pool FOR YOU, because it mostly depends of your latency. So it is different for everyone, and takes a little search on your side. |

Quantity of X11 coins compared to scrypt coins is nothing.
DASH rewards only 45% to miners.
DASH will keep TX fees as low as possible, I think if price of DASH will be higher they probobly lower tx fees again which is good for DASH but not for us.
DASH itself is nothing unique. Masternodes => fees ? IOTA => zero fees. Private send ? check Monreo, Vertcoin, ZCash...... Litecoin will implement privacy too.
I do not cry. This is only a notice for people willing to buy a new D4+++ which will be uselles in time of arrival.

I am using Granat without issue (asia server), but the number of miners is much lower than usual. It seems that many have it showing dead. |

I did changed my password twice this week, but I don't see how it could be an issue.
I am pretty sure something is wrong with the security question feature.
If you are 100% sure that it didn't get locked via the email and got banned instead. Then it's probably due to the posts that the accounts have made or pms that it has been sending. AFAIK you can change your password as many times as you want and you won't get banned for it. The security question is a feature which isn't recommended to be used because it's easier to guess than a password. It won't lock the account though. Include the username here and maybe a staff member could shine some light on why the account is banned/locked. My account name is: pedrojok Like a couple of weeks old, and maybe 6 or 7 posts ! Hope I didn't get banned for so little !!! I agree with you, you can't get banned for changing your password, that wouldn't make any sens. But that is pretty much what happened, and so the reason why I opened this topic. Something went wrong, and if there is an issue, hopefully it can be fixed, so it doesn't happen to other. |

I just changed my password, using the security question instead of email recovery, because more convenient. My account had like 7 post, so it is not like I care so much. Then, I got banned ! No way to login with my new password, my account is locked. And as I have seen, it can takes month to unlock an account !!! So be aware, stick with email recovery to change your password, and NEVER use the security question, if you don't want to be banned. I understand now why they do not recommend it... cause it is not working ! Seems to me like something that could easily be fixed, and admin could focus on stolen account request instead of this bug. |
