461  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Offering 1.00 BTC to help break first block at new mining Site bitcoinore.com on: August 05, 2013, 01:44:12 AM
Im having the same issues. Cant get work from your servers. I assume the username and password is the same used to login to the site?

Using GUIminer

You need to create a worker. If your in IE you wont see the sub menu under my account.

its going to be User_worker  and worker pw

Code:
bfgminer -o bitcoinore.com:3333 -u Oreo.worker -p wrkpasswd --disable-gpu -S all

--disable-gpu -S all is only use if you ASIC and your only mining with ASIC's.

Figure out the problem to connect your server.

I need to add a worker, but because your site isn't IE compatible it never showed the worker submenu.
463  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Offering 1.00 BTC to help break first block at new mining Site bitcoinore.com on: August 04, 2013, 09:17:11 PM
Have you resolve the issue? Ill give it another shot.

Why did you release the source to the site?

466  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: ideal pc motherboard for multiple graphics card? on: August 04, 2013, 08:13:04 AM
look for a cheap board that has only one PCIe x16 and all other PCIe x1.

then just get extenders and connect all your cards to x1 ports and one at the x16.

in a personal comment I wouldn't be investing on boards or video cards GPU.    You will never get your investment back.  I recommend investing on ASIC.

Those are for AMD's.

467  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Offering 1.00 BTC to help break first block at new mining Site bitcoinore.com on: August 04, 2013, 08:00:28 AM
I try to have ASIC join your pool, but for some reason its not Auth via BFG Miner.

I was able to connect with GUIMiner but not BFG.

I play around 20mins trying to figure it out why... no luck.

Sorry.

PS: can you please delete my register account on your site. Username "Crash"

Thank You.

From http://p2pool.org/btcstats.php?address=14nEW57H2copKJxjzDgYENKoLDAqeKWvaJ
Quote
Mining Stats
Hashrate:    15.815 Gh/s
Your Hashrate:    0.136 Gh/s
Your Current Payout:    0.22324341 BTC
This can't be right.
Wen will I get a payout? Doesn't look like I can trust this site.

That's what I was thinking... was even checking them out already to move over. But I don't think its a good result.

But it might be a BUG...

Im getting 0.0054 per day at BitMinter at 336 Mhps and almost the same amount at Slush's.
470  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: cgminer using 100% cpu, 780mb ram, and doing nothing help on: August 03, 2013, 09:32:00 AM
What pool are you using? It might be down. Slush's been going up and down the last 24hours.

Don't use GUIMiner to load CGMiner, use only 1 of the miners.

If you want to use CG just create a batch file add the following:
Code:
cgminer -o http://pool:port -u USERID -p PASSWD -I 10 -d 0

If you want to use GUI Miner its easy.
Install/Unzip
Open GUIMiner
>Go to File (on top menu)
>>Go to "New Miner" ->click "New OpenCL miner..."

>Window will PopUp "New Miner<
Put a name you want for that Miner

Under Server:
select your pool

Under Username:
add your username. some pools like Slush's you need to add your Account User and Worker name. for example:  JohnD.worker1

Password:
will be the worker password

For CPU Affinity:
Select 0, if you plan to mine Bitcoin as mining use GPU now.

If you need help, on creating a batch file let me know or more help ill do the best I can. Just provide me with more details on what you have pool, ect...

Also I recommend using BFG Miner instead of CG. -BFG Miner is like CG even the batch file is almost the same. just change cgminer to bfgminer.

BFG is ASIC compatible right out of the box.

472  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Block Eruptors and Why? on: August 02, 2013, 08:34:27 PM
ASIC Miners are cheaper.

You get more Mhps for your money.
It consumes less energy.
And probably will give your investment back.

I began with a USB Erupter.  Wink

And even with that it will take a few months to get it back. IF Bitcoin price doesn't drop, if it does longer. If it goes up to 200 ill be very happy in afew months.

473  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What ATI GPU would you suggest? on: August 02, 2013, 08:23:38 PM
With your budget of 200-300, You can go for a 7950, or try to look for  a used 7970. But with current difficulties, you wont be getting much coins. Not very profitable at all.
If you're just looking to amuse yourself and have fun mining coins/trading, I suggest investing that $300 into ASIC miners. But if you are the occasional gamer, i'd go for the 7950.
You can pick up about 7 USB Block Eruptors in this group buy at 0.45BTC each with that $300: bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=263587.0
That would give you roughly 2300 MH/s compared to the 600 kH/s a 7950 would give you.
If you want to compute these hashrates into real-time mining profit. That would come out to $3.71 mining Bitcoins and $1.96 mining Litecoins today according to coinwarz.com
Take your pick, but either way you wont profit.

I agree with relazyfo.

Im also new to mining so I was thinking getting a video card 7970 But after running the number you will never get your investment back.

So What I did I purchase a USB Erupter Block last week and got it 3 days ago, so I been playing with.

It been mining for around 20+ Hours. I have been able to mine 0.00653996 BTC - Its not allot -but being that I'm not using energy its money coming back.

I posted the results of 1 Hour test.
--->     https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=265616.msg2843768

I figure I should have my money back around a month. Then after that its pure profits.

ALSO another thing that Bitcoin price could Jump back to 200$ each like it did afew months ago. OR I could drop down to 0$... Its a chance.

and welcome...
474  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: GPU is DEAD --- ASIC is taking over and Fast. on: August 02, 2013, 07:11:21 AM
Looks like you missed the sticky about blockchain.info
here is a more accurate list http://blockorigin.pfoe.be/top.php
ASIC is taking over fast, but asicminer is just one company manufacturing and mining on ASIC hardware, they were added to the "Pool list" after they started solo mining.

you are correct though for Bitcoin miners without very cheap or free power  GPU is DEAD

That I didn't know.  So they make the device use it for them self and most likely sell the use one as new.  Monopoly?

No way to join their pool, Huh LoL
475  Bitcoin / Mining / GPU is DEAD --- ASIC is taking over and Fast. on: August 02, 2013, 06:16:43 AM
ASIC Miners are taking over and very fast.

According BlockChain.info its taking over around 1% per day of Hashrate Distribution and its increasing.

Its currently accounts of 19% of all Hashrate Distribution.
4 Days ago it was 16%.

An estimation of hashrate distribution amongst the largest mining pools

476  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: USD You Would pay for 1 GH/s Right Now on: August 02, 2013, 05:11:14 AM
If I would pay 500$ for a 5GH/s, you can guess what I would pay for 1 GH/s.  Tongue

#fail

Mining game is over. The people who won were Avalon Batch 1-2. The people who are enjoying some success are those who are receiving BFLs now. The ones who ordered 2012 BFL's and Avalon batch 3 will see some profit. Anyone ordering mining equipment now is throwing money down the toilette.

You want to make money with bitcoin, find a way to be part of the economy of bitcoin. Make, create, sell, service etc. for bitcoin.

The only way a miner getting in the game now will make a return on their investment would be if Bitcoin saw a very solid steady rise in price. That's not happening as you can see anytime soon.

Agree...

I did however purchase an Erupter, which gives me around 336 Mhps, which in month and half I should get what I pay for the device. Then afterword's will pure profits.

I don't mine it, being that I have my computer 24/7 online and im getting power direct from the usb.

But I did the math and its the only option is going with ASIC and the cheap ones.
477  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New US-based ASIC Bitcoin Mining Hardware Manufacturer - ASIC Technologies on: August 02, 2013, 04:13:49 AM
Their Paypal was listed as "Unverified."
I have sent them numerous emails and haven't gotten any responses. Losing confidence in them, but it's not over yet.

 Shocked
478  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner USB group buy REOPENED! (previous customers only!) .175 per unit! on: August 02, 2013, 04:03:25 AM
Since people seem to fail at reading,

YOU MUST HAVE MADE A PREVIOUS ORDER IN THIS GROUP BUY TO GET THE 0.175 BTC PRICE

The post has close to 2000 replies. They should block it and add to those who purchase it on that order.

Thanks for the reply.
479  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie restrictions on: August 02, 2013, 03:52:11 AM
I get the same problem. So what I do I just wait for a bit before replying.

And "crtl+c" everything just in case.
480  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: *TEST RESULTS* ASICMiner The Block Erupter USB Sapphire [1 Hour Test @BitMinter] on: August 02, 2013, 03:40:41 AM
Sapphire is just a name for the product line, not a "2nd gen".  According to their own posts...Sapphire is the name for every board outside of the very first units shipped.

Recently they changed the LED from green to amber.  Nothing else has been modified.

I think they also change the pcb board to Blue at the 2nd gen.

Not sure, they have a very crappy site without much details.  Huh
