Split it between altcoins with future in your mind. $2K is not a big amount, so you can't afford a real BTC or ETH investment. At least not the one with a highest ROI. The alts could drown your our or could make your money x10. There is no a real minimum. You should conciser as a minimum the amount you can lost without having any problems.

1. ETH will regain value because now after the BTC situation is much more clear, they will be more interested in investments.
2. TrueFlip recently finished their ICO and it was successful IMO. But now they are having some communication problems and their tokens are still not listed in any serious exchange.
