461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2017 is crazy for bitcoin on: November 03, 2017, 06:22:49 PM
I remember that on 1st January 2017 , the price of bitcoin is about $1000, but now we can see the price is already over $7000. To be honest, that is why some people said this is bubble since the unbelievable rising of bitcoin. However, let us look back upon the history, we can tell that Email subvert the postal industry, Amazon subvert the retail industry. Furthermore, Will bitcoin subvert the traditional banking?

Above is just my personal idea.If you like or not, I wish everyone here have a nice day.

Banking in a traditional way has been long here since an era and we witnessed that old aged people are stuck to these systems and may/will always be.
Bitcoin, being especially used by youth, is now taking over all the age groups and the factors are the market moves that subverted the game of all other assets and dragged all such money into Bitcoins. But I believe that it will be a very long journey and to remove traditional banking or to convert it to something new, Bitcoin needs to stabilize and that will only happen when the value reaches a level where buying it will become very hard and it will become extremely priceless just like Gold.
462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I HATE 90% of Bitcoin investors on: November 03, 2017, 06:16:08 PM
Most people that investing bitcoin now, are just investing to make money. It annoys the hell out of me. 90% of people haven't read the white paper! Don't even know why decentralisation is a good thing! Don't know why the blockchain is such a revolutionary invention! It annoys me so much! These people just invest because they want to "get rich quick".

And the annoying thing is that if someone had told me about bitcoin 6 years ago, I still would have put all of my money into it. Unfortunately I'm only 16 so I didn't know ANYONE (when I was 9) that would tell me about bitcoin. I only just heard of it 7 months ago and henceforth, have become OBSESSED with crypto. Now I've dropped out of school for crypto and it really does my nut in when all I hear is "Bitcoin to $10K!", "Bitcoin to $20k!".

Deep down I actually hope that the bubble (yes it is a mini-bubble) pops after the Segwit fork and that the price goes back down to $2k. That way all of these stupid investors can suck their thumbs and get taught a lesson. 90% of these people also would have said bitcoin was a scam 9-15 months ago but now look at them. They run around like fucking idiots screaming "BLOCKCHAAINN!!!", "DECENTRALISATIONNNN!!!".

Smh.

Rant over.

The price actually needs to stay up to support the concept for the long term. We need "investors" to keep coming whether they fully understand the concept or not because this will not let the "value" diminish out of the hearts of those 90% investors whom you hate, that's because the value is what's keeping us all together. Read these words 100 times: WE ARE NOT USING BITCOINS AS MONEY CURRENTLY, WE ARE TRADING/BETTING OUR MONEY ON IT.
That's the reason most people are here, and there's nothing wrong with coming up with their own speculated levels because we are free to say anything, but the truth will be told by markets only.
463  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin has gone beyond gold prices on: November 02, 2017, 12:36:34 PM
Bitcoin has now exceeded the gold price, is the choice of bitcoin or gold?

Still, we are comparing the values of two giants which belong to completely different areas.
Bitcoin is a digital token (not a currency in my views) that helps to securely, safely and speedily transact our money from one end to the other without the interference of any third party (except blockchain) and that's why it is being appreciated by everyone whereas Gold, that used to be the most traditional investment of all time will still remain in the game always because it is physically available and under specific concerns, remains the first choice of every investor yet. But I believe Bitcoin won't be taking several hundreds of years to surpass Gold's total market cap.
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What percentage of ICOs do employees get on: November 02, 2017, 12:16:10 PM
This question is mainly for those who have taken part in ICOs or are in the process of launching one. But anyone is free to answer!  Grin

So if you are not a co-founder but are among the first 5 employees, what % of the ICO proceeds will normally be allocated to you?  Is it a similar to the equity percentage early employees usually receive for joining a startup?

No, as far as I have seen, they are allocated stakes for the jobs just the way we all are. Each and every department has their fixed distribution amounts and they are distributed only after the targets are achieved as well as they monitor their employees during the whole marketing period and reward a few guys who do exceptionally well in bringing/attracting huge amount of customers to their ICO.
465  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on cryptocurrencies prices on: November 02, 2017, 11:43:32 AM
This seems to be interesting because it is more than speculation and gambling. It is more about identifying and doing research  based on the available information across the globe as which coin will rise in the coming time and to what extent. Charts also do come in the picture as you can know how the prices seems to tend whether upward or fall.

I agree that it's more than speculation and we need to be very firm with our decision here, but what I fear here is that there is a huge possibility of bot manipulation of the system itself to try and make you lose more even if you get in as well as "out" at the correct time but due to that one second manipulation, you lose your entire bet. The picturization is still not accurate according to my thinking because they really don't tell us which of the exchanges' average price they undertake for the purpose of results.
466  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin All Time High Hit - 6300 on: November 02, 2017, 11:20:47 AM
It has already crossed the 6600$ and it looks like it's heading towards 7000$. This might happen but we all know how the price pump could be tricky so this rise might stop and right before the next fork the price could be corrected and maybe pulled down back to 5500$ or even less. Anyway, this is the good moment for traders so go on and take the money.

And we have finally broken the 7k level after which the new ATH is above 7150. It's an overwhelming experience to see Bitcoin ride the markets so hard by making new records every day. Altcoins are hit badly due to this and they are all getting bald and some nonsensical dumps are being seen which are setting new lower levels of altcoins too, so trading has gone very risky over these alts and I believe we should stay in Bitcoins unless it stops the rally.
467  Bitcoin / Press / [2017-11-01] Samsung Creates Bitcoin Mining Rig With 40 Used Galaxy S5 Phones on: November 01, 2017, 12:40:03 PM
Don't you think it will be awesome when Samsung starts to use as well as invest its time and money into Blockchain?
They haven't said anything officially yet, but I think they are doing something behind the scenes and will surely come up with a solution for small level miners to start using their smartphones in lieu of desktops that are completely inefficient whether to be used for mining purposes or even monitor said activities.

Quote
Samsung built a bitcoin mining rig made out of 40 old Galaxy S5 devices that run on a new operating system for the company’s upcycling initiative, according to Motherboard. The company’s C-Lab developed the mining rig and other uses for old phones, which were on display at the company’s recent developer’s conference in San Francisco. The company displayed old Galaxy phones and assorted tablets stripped of Android software repurposed into various objects.

The company noted in an information sheet that the eight Galaxy S5 units are capable of mining bitcoin at greater power efficiency than a standard desktop computer. Desktops, however, are not currently standard bitcoin mining tools. The company declined to answer questions about the mining rig.

468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What if you can enjoy all the gambling on one site? on: November 01, 2017, 12:30:41 PM
I agree with the DICE.its one of the in demand game now,and one of the easiest to play.i might not be a gambler but around me are gamblers and they love dice than any other games.so better to put it on your choices of games.and looking forward for the success of the sites your creating goodluck
As I mentioned earlier, we were developing lottery tickets first. We concluded that dice is best for the second game. Thank you for your valuable feedback.

Will it also contain casinos, sports betting including all those that are barely seen on some select sites only like Horse-Racing, Boxing, Martial Arts, etc.?
The concept is good but I think you should ask for such help in the Services part where you can post complete details about your plan and see if some gamblers' community decide to get your site up. Still, I don't understand that why lottery first? Why don't you implement some live games before adding lottery system? As well, can you add this lottery part to other bets (like live, casino, parlay) we will make on your site for some complimentary winnings?
469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do to earn btc and altcoins? on: November 01, 2017, 12:22:00 PM
What is your daily routine that you do in order to earn btc and altcoins?
Some people use their time to earn crypto with bounties or trading, but perhaps there are other alternatives not known for many yet?

Bounties are actually the best thing here that could earn you many altcoins through twitter and facebook as well as signature campaigns.
Some campaigns also allow partial bitcoin payments and the remaining in tokens after the end of ICO which is also a very exciting pay structure.
I mostly try to join signature campaigns that allow both types of payments because tokens may start with better price and could increase in value in the future, so I could get better amount in fiat as bitcoin also gains time to time.
470  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin All Time High Hit - 6300 on: November 01, 2017, 09:36:11 AM
It's above 6500, Fib showing the possibility of 7800 to be crossed before the fork.
Let's get ready for some real action-packed manipulation of the markets for the coming weeks and I feel this would be the best time to sell Bitcoins just before the fork and buy-back the dips. Still, there seems the lowest probability of BTC being dumped because no-one's in favor of Segwit2X so according to my thinking, this shouldn't be taken so seriously, at least the way we took BCH.
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: right time to buy alts on: November 01, 2017, 09:17:03 AM
I think BCH price will comes up after their hardfork on this november. For now the price is getting down and down.

Not certainly, because the price started to move as the BCH devs decided to re-stabilize the difficulty of the chain.
OP, it's abruptly not the correct time to get in alts because the dump may continue and few may also witness the death of some very overvalued alts in the near future unless we see Bitcoin get down a bit. It isn't a rumor but a reality that I have seen that whenever Bitcoin starts to rally hard, alts get dumped down to levels that aren't even the starting point from where these used to increase. It's the general nature of us that we try to get out of alts and start trading Bitcoins when we see much more liquidity in it alone.
472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: No supercomputers---Thank me later. on: November 01, 2017, 09:11:59 AM
So, in this thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2343401.0), you are calling Bitcoin as useless and here you are recommending it to everyone?
Why are you crossing your own words? As well, each and every ICO comes with their own concept and we all know that many turn out scams, so it's our own responsibility to search out for the best and invest in it, but calling everything as shit turns out to be stupid when few of them become legit in terms of proving their project with the work they do for it. Committed dedication can be the key to the success of anything whether it's Bitcoin or alt. Don't worry too much about the future of alts and just enjoy the rides while you are still able to, because once bitcoin crosses a level where trading with it could go bizarre if you lose, people might switch to alternatives like ethereum or XMR to trade.
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins are dying on: October 31, 2017, 06:28:39 PM
Altcoins are dying and some will be dead. Bitcoin murdered them and now I want to murder my self.

But why? What exactly happened?
If you bought your alts even when the price of Bitcoin was near to 1000, then your altcoins must still be worth the same or even more in terms of USD if they are not down more than 6 times. I know that most of the altcoins have been dumped down to hell but just wait for Bitcoin to stabilize as when it does, alts start to rise back. Don't worry too much about the current situation, think of the future and don't commit stupid decisions. Bitcoin is here to let us live, and live freely, so stop being a coward and live.
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to choose a good ICO ? on: October 31, 2017, 05:46:01 PM
Hi,there are plenty of ico Here
I dont really know how to choose the best ICO, because some are totaly scam or shit
How do you do that ?

Try to understand the whole concept by reading the complete whitepaper of the project.
Then check their hard-cap (if they have set any) that will the expected amount really be complete enough to satisfy the needs of the project's expenses?
See if they are really providing some (real) updates during the beginning of their project as well as remain active on all of their social media that they handle. Check if they are really getting some attention from the users who are willing to invest in such programs.
475  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling ends on: October 31, 2017, 02:28:33 PM
can this world stop in gambling?
someone who like to gamble hard to escape from the gambling trap. almost like a drug addict. Even after they went bankrupt still struggling to gamble by borrowing money for gambling. Actually what do they expect?

All that starts from a desire turns to addiction, then the next step is loss and finally this, borrowing for the same purpose.
Being affirmative is all fine about gambling and even when we do it, but going all in and even asking others to lend us some money to let us play it over something without being assured of the results could get us under huge debt pressure and that could lead to some serious (worst) decisions which could prove threat to our life.
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Paypal 30$ with 5 BTC on: October 30, 2017, 06:31:26 PM
We should not call ourselves stupid because if we are, we would not have sold our coins ever.
The cause of Bitcoins' market boom is the restructured system that has involved many risk takers who are not just putting their money in it but spreading the word through their end so that they may see the cycle carrying itself away. We really need to understand that there will never be a stagnancy period for Bitcoins because it possesses value, and this makes it different from all those Pyramid schemes that are compared to it by critics. Bitcoin was very new at that time, and nobody ever thought it will become this huge but it did. Don't call them stupid who sold low because if they wouldn't have, none would have bought.
477  Economy / Services / Re: (Free) Newbie Signature on: October 30, 2017, 06:14:42 PM
Hey guys,  I'm a new member,  but I want to help people.  I've just learned about signature campaigns and I would be willing to help someone out if they want to use my signature for their benefit.  I will be doing my own research before putting you in my signature so if you're a scammer don't bother.  1st legit person to reply with a signature for me to use within reason will get my signature until this account is able to get into a paid signature campaign.  =)

Good effort to reach out to the community. Though an one liner without any link, but still it can help someone promoting something without any budget. But you need to reply more so that the message reaches as much as posts as possible. Good gesture, keep it up, will pay you back one day.
Thanks for the kind words!  I will be replying to a lot of topics in the near future and hopefully doing a good job at it.  Glad to be here!  Smiley

Looks very nice how newbies are trying to help, space is less though I think you will get something worked out soon from the community.
Replying to a lot of topics would be great but remember, keep sober time-gaps between them as if you do them all of a sudden then that's considered as burst posting here and could get you banned. Don't spam, just try to remain on-topic and you are fine.
Hope you get some work, else I will try to get you something. Wink
478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Someone sent my bitcoins on: October 30, 2017, 06:00:05 PM
Hi,

I have bitcoin core wallet, and today i saw that someone sent all of my bitcoins!
how can i bring them back? what happend?

can someone please help?

Thank you so much

Feel really sorry for your loss.
Your PC must be having some connections shared or malware inserted in it through some defected media or some other activity like you may have downloaded it from "wrong" source (may have happened). Stop using it or format it completely. Your coins won't come back due to the Bitcoins' property that it is irreversible in any case.
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Are we getting BTG this time? on: October 13, 2017, 06:47:16 PM
I am somewhat confused about this topic and decided to ask it here finally.
Can anyone please throw some light on this and evidently provide any confirmation of the matter that says we are going to get some BTG in our wallets if we had some Bitcoins with us on October 1st? Somebody told me that they got an "image" of the wallets containing bitcoins on the said date and those will be the only people to get Bitcoin Gold. I don't care too much about this but wish to clear it up to remove such confusion out of my mind.

Follow CCN (cryptocoinnews) and many other bitcoin-related news sites that give you too much information needed to get updated every time anything new happens in crypto world. Come here often and ask us what you wish to know because this is the best community that can answer you almost everything regarding Bitcoins, mods are extremely helpful and few personalities like Gentlemand, Achow101 and DannyHamilton's posts would help you understand the technical aspects of Bitcoins. Google "About Bitcoins" and you will see many definitions as well as some interesting facts available over the internet.
