461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling - Cheaper fees on: September 03, 2017, 04:12:19 AM
wow, how can a thread have so many posts within two months and how can a fork be the market cap top 3? its so surprising

The Bitcoin fork was supposed to be dropped (as forks are basically "upgrades", to use simple terms). But Blockstream/Core got greedy and took the "Bitcoin" name (regardless of it needing an upgrade), and censored all of this (and continues to censor/propagandize/smear). So anyone who is buying Bitcoin, is buying only the name (and obsolete version) because the correct implementation and protocol is Bitcoin Cash. Sooner or later, the exchanges will rename Bitcoin to something like "Bitcoin Classic" and Bitcoin Cash will simply get changed to Bitcoin.

Its not as simple as say that every fork is REAL one, and the coin before fork will turn out as legacy or "classic"
The coin have economic value, its have its community, if you can drive MAJORITY community and economy to fork one than you can claim as "REAL" one, if not, the fork just another ALT COIN.

And i think bitcoin supporter have the right to defend their coin, as anything done like censoring, is part of it. and if BCH think they could take the lead, show us how they should be, not make claim with no REAL thing to back it up

Isn't btc-e going to release another FAQ regarding verification today so people can make a educated decision to withdraw today or not?

it's already there
https://btc-e.nz/refund

Being in the US I opted for the refund. It seemed to be the safest thing to do. Hoping to see something within 72 hours.

Can you guys clarify what the terms are? What does it say when you log in and click the refund tab? I won't be at home for like 8 hours and I just get an error message when I click the refund link while not logged in. Could you copy/paste the terms? We have to wait 72 hours and we will get output based on the current market rates (at withdraw time)?

Thanks in advance.

This page is made for an immediate return of funds for those who do not want to wait, or do not believe in us.
You can receive 55% of your funds immediately, without verification, provided by your consent to refuse to receive the other 45% of funds.
All funds will be returned in coins only. That is why if you had funds in fiat currencies (USD, RUR, EUR), first they will be converted into USD at the exchange rate of Central Bank of Russian Federation, after that USD will be converted into liquid coins(50% BTC, 25% LTC, 25% ETH) at the exchange rate of other cryptocurrency exchanges and returned to them.
After the return of funds following this procedure, your account will deleted forever, without a possibility to restore it. If you wish to continue working with us after relaunch, you would have to open a new account.
All funds will be returned during 72 hours.

I am curious about how the fiat converter rate to BTC/LTC/ETH (50/25/25)
If rate before its shutdown, than fiat will not lose much since the coin value rise since then.

Because its HOT, FUD and uncertain everywhere.
Off course its top 3, since its takes btc volume (coin circulated) as "pre-mine" and generate block faster than BTC. No surprising at all

Hello, can i use this PSU for the l3+?

https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00M35SGMY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3JWKAKR8XB7XF&psc=1

it has 8x 6/8-Pin PCIe.

Thanks!

why are u not getting the one from Bitmain?

Because that Corsair will run from 110V while the Bitmain one won't?

Actually the newest power supply model, APW3++ from Bitmain is able to power 1200W load with the 110V input.

Specs: https://shop.bitmain.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020170627175024105t4k8SjM5067C

So it is able to power one L3+ with the 110V input voltage.

What type Bitmain PSU be clasified (efficient energy use)?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/80_Plus

APW3+ seem to be a 80 Plus Bronze or Silver

After couple simple test with incorrect password didnt get thorugh which mean the site HAVE OUR PASSWORD, so they do have our data, login or not is nothing different.

Just dont provide new data just to withdraw the fund, this might be a flag if they really do request it.
I don't disagree with most of what you are saying but it needs to be pointed out, again, that user logins are a comparison of the result of a salted(?) and hashed password against the salt+hash stored in the DB. They are NOT decrypting your stored password to compare with what you typed. In theory this means if a rather sophisticated operation was going on (meaning BTCe had their twitter etc compromised) a bad actor could still have a functional login and NOT actually know your password (but log it when the hashes match). I am not suggesting this is what's happening and tbh I think the .nz site is most likely legit but let's not spread misinformation about how user authentication works.

I dont know the complex things about login and password operated.
I do know that i can see all my things there as it was.

If the critical data store in different kind of database, how they have that.
I dont have any penny there  Tongue so if you have doubt about the site, dont touch it, as i have nothing to lose just to share my thought.
466  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: September 01, 2017, 03:20:40 AM
Nobody is worried that this is just a complete snapshot of the 'old' BTC-E with the chatbox and the database before it went down and nothing else (considering the trading backend/withdrawal system is not active).
What if it's just exactly as I mentioned in the first sentence and everyone logging in is actually giving their complete login info to people that want to have full access to your BTC in those accounts?

After couple simple test with incorrect password didnt get thorugh which mean the site HAVE OUR PASSWORD, so they do have our data, login or not is nothing different.

Just dont provide new data just to withdraw the fund, this might be a flag if they really do request it.

Anyone heard of these yet? Looks like innosilicon are catching up.

And bitmain will have massive selling of L3+ to lower market demand  Grin

Does CoinMarketCap.com have the correct/current chain?

I think you need to look at the Markets tab and which exchanges are listed. I think only the coinexchange btc market has a wrong value or maybe the market is just too high but zero volume, the value is included in the average though. (see the markets with * are excluded), I believe there were more of the wrong values and it seems they removed them quite recently Cheesy

Ah yes, got it now! THX This going to take a while to settle out but very happy to see I can send and receive to Nova & Coinexchange...

BTW: Not selling anything now, going to wait and see how it goes since the real guys are back...  Grin

I am selling a lot of my TIPS saving until this thread come alive. Now i also hold my coin and start to buyback and see what next.

469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Launching the Antminer L3+, World's Most Powerful and Efficient Litecoin Miner on: August 31, 2017, 04:25:21 PM
I just found out that there are 2 type PSU for L3+

* APW3++ will cost 105 USD
* APW3++ for L3+ will cost 115 USD

The different only the connector, 5 pair (10 connector) and 9 pair (18 connector)

Its cost wise if we choose 9 pair since its could power up 2 L3+ at 220V,
BUT.. i need another view or opinion such as temp, power and effect to the L3+ for long run,

At 220v, each L3+ uses 750 watts (more efficient) and the APW3++ is definitely capable of supporting 100% load 24/7 (unlike consumer grade PSUs). I would highly recommend saving money and going with the 18 connector version if you already have 220v power. We've been running a couple sets in this configuration for months without issue. Total power draw from the wall is 1500w per pair.

Thanks for your review
Any others comment about double L3+ with single bitmain PSU?

Is wallet on coinexchange.io also for new version like it is on novaexchange.com?

Thanks

Yes, I believe so!

Absolutely YES. I have sent to both exchange from my new fork wallet, also i sometime move TIPS from coinexchange to nova and vice versa

Bitmain has quite the shitty website.  I had 3 in my cart, yet could not checkout.   Crash, crash, crash.    Oh well, life goes on.  Check out the L3+ prices on eBay.  Unbelievable!

why upgrade the web site when you sell out 10k of units last week in less than 40 min and sell out the remainder this week (around 1800 was it?) in 18 min

must be nice to have everything locked up for products with sha-256 and scrypt-pow

next stop in 'evil' is x11 (dare to dream..then take it over...then choke it do death, pushing crap out like toasters) (bitmain: it is what we do!) tm bitmain

i have both the above...with some more coming..it don't matter to me

I only use ONE per bitmain miner.....I figure why scrimp and run TWO to a PSU on that model that allows such..at 1600 watt capacity imho that's pushing it

anyway, probably overkill but it simplifies the whole 'how many power leads do I need" problem

had too many other miners in the past fry stuff....prefer it fry 1 unit at a time not two Smiley

That i worry about. Base on book, the PSU could achieve, but dont know in real run.

a ten buck increase to save an hundreds is very tempting, especially with many units

A good idea Brow.
I think if the hacker wants to have such an account then it is not possible to delete or edit the Post as it may affect its Rank, unless the address is definitely changed. But, if the hacker just wants to ruin it, maybe he will delete or edit the post.

I guess I should put an address in this thread finally, given the absurd number of hacked accounts popping back to life recently.

I'd appreciate a quote or two to lock it in place:

Soal budjed ga perlu banyak gan. 30-45 Juta udah jadi 1 rig minning. tinggal agan mau minning pake alat apa? VGA atau Antminer . kalau saya sih lebih suka ke antminer karena ga ribet. tinggal colok terus pantau pake hp. kalau vga agak ribet kata temen ane. kemarin aku beli D3 2 Barang. besok november datang. Daerah agan mana? coba gabung grup fb Forum minner pasti banyak kenalan 1 daerah gan
Gan D3 sama S9 bagusan mana ?
