This is probably someplace on the thread but bear with me...I understand the L3+ is loud.....I have a 3 story house and some of my KNC Titans are in the basement etc I don't really care if I hear the miners on the 1st floor above the basement....I use mostly use 2nd floor upstairs for office etc/1st floor I can avoid if noise is too much and/ sleep on 2nd floor. so that should not be an issue..... So are these D3's and L3+'s so loud that I can't get by with them in the basement with the windows open because the neighbors will freak? or on the 1st floor, you can get by with your life etc and use say 4 of these puppies on the basement w/o going crazy? got the space..winter is coming....free heat *such as it is* Not sure if I'm going to get any more equip this year but what I have in the UPS wind as it shows is: D3 (1 unit) Sept 15th shipping start I think? D3 (1 units) Oct 15th shipping start I think? L3+ (3 units) Nov 15th shipping I think? So anyway, with the above setup on house etc...is this gonna be too noisy or just mildly annoying on the 1st floor? thanks....appreciate it...I have L3+'s but the rest are now in the FULL data hall ...so have had no exposure to noise  Searing p.s. edit: unless the PSU's from bitmain arrive first I may also need to know if 2 Corsair 1200i's can run D3 to get by till the bitmain PSU's show? (or not recommended?)Since no one "legally" have D3 in their home, i think they dont know how the power pull up like the spec said. I would also say do not buy these. Better to spend money on their ASIC equipment or build your own gpu rig.
Agree for that. We all know how long the warranty process, its better to buy part from local shop and build it yourself, and its fun too. |

Wow, two days before my order was scheduled to ship... Bitmain confirmed my payment, marked my order as valid, fedex says it'll be arriving day after tomorrow.
Bitmain really came through! Amazing. Now if the product works as described when I get it, I'm happy.
I was trying to figure out if it's worth going through the old posts wishing death and destruction upon Bitmain and editing them, but wow there's a lot and they're really buried in these 100+ pages. So I'm going to leave them, figuring if someone cared enough to read those other posts, they'll find this one too and that will clarify.

Well it doesn't make sense if we see it as one 'board' but try to look at it as TIPS/BTC pair as one 'board' then TIPS/DOGE pair another etc. It's about how much are people willing to pay for it and some pay higher price in BTC because they don't know there is cheaper option but it doesn't mean that demand skyrocketed. For me real value is one in DOGE or LTC or MOON but coinmarketcap takes BTC in calculation also and it doesn't mean that average price which they show is real price across all exchange pairs or 'boards'. Agree. Since coinmarketcap use term "USD" to calculate volume than there will be some distortion in price. The real value only in active pair. The most active pair is DOGE, second is LTC, the price will cross other pair like moon and eth. Nice to see bter pair have similar value, and hope they could move the chain to the same as ours |

i have few L3+ shipped and held in customs from >12days. after examination Deputy commissioner replied to DHL as, "Found Bitcoin miners, it is under import policy restrictions and can not be cleared" and DHL team mailed me to contact the DC in person , if so they will arrange an appointment. i see that there are many indian friends, especially from Bangalore on this forum. Some of them might already faced such issues.kindly provide some help about how to deal with this issue and past experiences and clear the miners from customs.Thank you

Maybe a in person audience with the Deputy commissioner involving a discreet handover of a rupee-filled envelope could be expedient. Or just tell him they are for research purposes. Or that these are for litecoins, not for bitcoins. 1st you have to make sure that there is a policy to place bitcoin miner under restrictions 2nd you find a description about bitcoin miner in the policy or from customs point of view, make sure that only bitcoin not all crypto currency 3rd you start to argue that its not bitcoin miner but a scrypt miner for litecoin Imho, restrictions usually place under HS code, so maybe put the right HS code will solve the problem Last step.. ask the customs expert to help you out. |

What is the status of your withdrawal? If it is completed, what is your txid? I'm trying to post a picture but don't know how to anyway it says completed- I asked them to send me the transaction id but they ask 24hrs delay for a reply its not normal, i have withdrawal from coinexchange, and its take minutes to get it through and done. How can I install wallet for Mac?
Temporary, there isnt any "ready to use" wallet for mac. You have to compile yourself from github Too many questions, not enough answers or detailed information. I don't get a good feeling for this.

Hello to the altcoin mining community, I'm very seriously thinking of purchasing one (1) unit of the Bitmain Antminer L3+, for mining using NiceHash or some other mining pool. I've been following cryptocurrencies for 3+ years now, but I'm a newbie when it comes to mining. I know that mining Bitcoin is now almost unprofitable for small-scale setups, so I thought that the L3+ may be a suitable choice, considering that Scrypt mining is still not as heavily saturated as SHA256. The profitability figures shown in NiceHash are remarkable, see below: Past earnings for the Antminer L3+:- Gross income: 1,187 EUR/month
- Electricity cost: 115 EUR/month (@ 0.2 EUR/kWh)
- Net profit: 1,072 EUR/month
Now, here in Europe, the L3+ can be bought for around 3200 EUR, including the power supply, VAT and shipping costs, and I will have it in my hands on December 2017, which is very late considering the fast pace things are changing in this space. Notice the above title: "Past earnings", which leads me to the question: what should I expect to get from this miner in the future? What about the change in difficulty for Litecoin and other Scrypt coins? Also note that the electricity costs where I live are quite high (around 0.2 EUR/kWh), a non-negligible negative term in the equation. So, what do the experts here think? Does it make sense financially to set this rig up? Is it economically viable? Will I achieve ROI in a reasonable amount of time (if ever)? Is it worth the money, time and effort? On paper it looks great, but I worry that it may just be too good to be true... Many thanks in advance for any comments, suggestions and advice you can give me. Don't sweat if you can't wait 9+ months for ROI expect 300$/month revenue by December. deduct your costs of labor and your down to 150. Expect your machine to break at least once within the first 6 months. If that is the case you can wait 3 weeks for repair if your lucky its just one hash board you need to repair. Worst case like in my case control board (no working dashboards = no income) Also consider taxes. if its a business (which it is) you can deduct VAT and deduct your purchase price from the revenue = less profits needing taxation. But I would not do it. Spend the money on a GPU rig So many technical problem in mining. I prefer smooth and a little slow device than facing LUCK in receiving it. But its not our choice. |
