462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone explain me the exact reasons for the hate on Monero? on: September 19, 2014, 01:53:45 PM
Probably the endless threads about it.

Note: Please stop with the monero threads

You are like a 5 year old who got his lollipop stolen.

Send me your address, i buy you a whole package of chupa chups.

But then you fags have been asking for donations. Is that why you are begging for money these days or is it because Vertcoin didn't work out and Pietila can only have one slave at a time in the headquarters?

I canīt see the link between lollipops and donations but if you want to become the first slave of Malla i am sure we can sort that out - for free.

The monero core team is looking for donations. Sell you lollipops and donate the proceeds to their cause. See it was simple to link the connection.

Do you have a resume or a linked in profile since I believe you are playing core team too right? What exactly is your educational background or any business/entrepreneurship experience?

464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unofficial Boolberry Namechange Poll (Keep boolberry is an option) on: September 18, 2014, 05:31:52 PM
Thank you for creating this thread.

BBR devs seem to enjoy disrespecting the BBR community. Why else would they not even have an option to keep the name Boolberry?

Time for new management imo
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BBR] Boolberry: Privacy and Security - Guaranteed[Bittrex/Poloniex]GPU Released on: September 18, 2014, 05:23:54 PM
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Actually it is broken. Perhaps you can explain to the community why BBR has 1/15 the market cap of XMR although it has better technology and development?

Part of the issue is that BBR has not attracted investment and consideration for english first speaking crypto enthusiasts. Its not just the name, of course, but you can't dismiss it as a major factor. I know it was for me, when I first heard about Boolberry.

Now there has never been any marketing and branding with BBR. That is about to change. With that change, people realized that a change would ultimately make aspects like marketing much easier going forward. The fact that we have so many Monero advocates complaining about the rebrand tells you all that you need to know.

Many of them are the same people that I have seen personally ridicule and make fun of the Boolberry name in more private conversations.

Having said all this, I can certainly understand your frustration. And I appreciate your passion about the whole issue. I'd love to get your insight and opinions moving forward as we have a lot of plans for promotion being outlined currently.

It sounds like you really want the technology to succeed. Let's make it happen. Smiley

BBR fluctuates around XMR just as LTC to BTC and silver to gold.  The market disagrees with your self-congratulatory assertions of Great Success.  We all know why...

XMR is a much bigger effort, involving very prominent Hero/Whale Members.

You OTOH have been here for one year.  CZ is an unknown with suspected ties to the elusive BCN devs.
The name is not a major factor.  I can dismiss it.

If BBR was named Rune originally, I would have never bought a single one.  Runes just means 'letter.'  Letters are not scare nor intrinsically valuable.  Rune sounds like a trying too hard to be cool name that a young teenager, barely off of his Huffy Vortex bicycle, would think of.

Vortex is a sweet name...for a kid's BMX in the 1980s.  http://www.ghmasonphoto.com/images/bmxm/88vortex_03.jpg

Rune is a sweet name...for a Scandinavian neo-nazi speed metal band that practices in the lead singer's anesthesiologist father's three car garage.  http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Rune/7496

Thanks for being positive in the face of my grumpy grumbles.  Don't worry if people make fun of BBR's name.  They did it to Google and Yahoo too.  Let the tech speak for itself, don't try so hard to make the branding carry the coin.  It won't because it can't.   Smiley

Good points all around. However, the bolded part above is what is going to change, imo. There is no reason anymore for BBR to be anyone's "silver."

and you think changing the name from Boolberry to Rune with some SEO is going to accomplish this....

windjc is so out of touch he thinks anyone who has a problem with changing the name must be an xmr supporter

Boolberry is perfect, I've said so from day one, it works brilliantly for google, is unique and friendly.

This was settled ages ago, leave it alone.

RUNE ?

For fucks sake, that's appalling.

IKR.  FFS, CZ...

"Rune?"  As in D&D RPG nerd BS "Rune? " Let's just change the name to NeckBeardCoin instead.  At least that will come up in google.   Angry

We have a cool name and nifty logo that normal people will like.  Why change it to something black metal loving hentai fapping pizza face basement dwellers prefer?

Vortex is even worse and already taken by a shitcoin.  And other one is beyond atrocious.  Devs should never be allowed anywhere remotely near branding and marketing!

If CZ wants to use his Benevolent Dictator power to simply change Boolberry to Rune by executive fiat, that's fine.  It's his coin.

But it is not OK create a sham vote to put a fig leaf of fake democracy over the decision.  That's what the Soviet Union did while pretending to be a republic instead of a dictatorship.  Sure you could vote (it was compulsory) but all the candidates were from the same Commie Party!   Grin

The correct way:
1.  Poll to decide on A) Keep or B) Change name.
2.  If 'Change' wins, hold poll to decide on top two candidates for new name.
3.  Hold a run-off between top two choices.

The incorrect way:
1. Don't ask if we want to keep or change the name.
2. Put up a preselected slate of craptastic names.
3. Pretend the preordained change to Rune was done with the consent of the community.

As a large hloder of BBR, this Potemkin Vote is the first and only thing that I've disliked in the history of the coin.

Bad move CZ.  BBR is too established for a rebrand and it's a great name anyways.

At least spell it 'Roon' so it's unique and looks more like Moon.   Tongue

Pretty much this.

Rune is the least terrible of the 3 yet far worse than our beloved Boolberry. Whatever, this is clearly falling on deaf ears.
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BBR] Boolberry: Privacy and Security - Guaranteed[Bittrex/Poloniex]GPU Released on: September 18, 2014, 01:52:08 PM
Think why despite it being a open source and the first community fork of CN it generates so much hate all around.

It's actually quite simple. The altcoin world is a shit storm of everyone trying to boost their own coin by tearing down others, particularly the more successful others. This has nothing to do with first, last, or whatever. Anyone who gets any degree of success at all gets FUDed, shilled, hated, etc.

But then that's exactly what you guys did to Boolberry? Lying scums like aminorex, rpietila, fluffypony and the rest of the handful of XMR pondscum all caused FUD about BBR and have been doing surreptitiously since the launch. I agree there will always be FUD with success, but there will be FUD from fear and threat too, which is what you are an example of vis-a-vis BBR.

Quote
You're a great example of this behavior in action.

You don't want to go there mate. I am still leaving XMR alone. Some of us want the little guys to get out first. You lot are the poison of XMR and until you guys serve as any sort of figurehead, it will be doomed.

What a disgusting attitude.

You're the only one fudding here.

Personally I detect fear in your posts. I considered you one of the Top 3 people in Monero. You made a mistake with concern trolling and displaying fear out in the open. The fear will be exploited down the road.

People tend to see in others what exists in themselves.. such as your obvious fear the name boolberry wont be taken seriously. the technology stands on its own.. why should you care if someone mocks the name? every successful coin name has been mocked

windjc yeah anyone offering a reasonable opinion, which is shared by many others in the bbr community, must have some ulterior motive because xmr. you're the only one that mentions xmr in the last few pages, while still managing to ignore people that want to see a fair poll

you should get back to the "official rebranding thread" i'm sure there are a few more posts there for you to delete

Yea yea, very funny babyface.jpg  Roll Eyes

I am just someone that believes in decentralized cryptocurrencies and wants to see them improved upon for the greater good of mankind. I am not here to get rich. All this propaganda and trolling is affecting the amount of decent conversations going on in this subforum. Anonymity is not the only flaw main stream cryptocurrencies have.

This really pisses me off as it affects all cryptocoin discussion, not just Monero, CN coins, or anon coins.

Yeah.. you want to see innovation.. just not here. I mean, why should you be personally inconvenienced and forced into looking at thread titles with the word monero in them? Unthinkable! In the meantime, you will hope for its demise until all monero related activity is performed a safe distance away from you.
474  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: September 18, 2014, 12:55:17 AM
I have always been skeptical when he makes such claims, especially seeing as though nothing ever comes of them.
Does no one remember AUR? That shit was fireworks. Don't poke the dragon!

CoinHoarder would love to see him take down Monero ... the ones poking the dragon have a reason  Roll Eyes

From what I can tell the cryptonote devs are treating him with more respect than the AUR devs did ... so who knows.

That is true, I would love to see the demise of Monero. You guys need to get your own forums and stop spamming this subforum, then I will play nice with you. I know someone's going to say.. But.. But.. That's not us, it's some meta reverse trolling, but IMO you guys started it by flooding the subforum with pro-Monero threads and the trolls decided they needed to counter them.

The only way I see it ending is if you guys move most Monero discussion to your own forums. Stop bringing up the only solution to be creating a Monero subforum here, because you and I both know that is never going to happen.

Until you do this I will be rooting for your demise because I am tired of the clusterfuck of Monero propaganda and trolling that has come of it. It is sad you guys make me feel this way, because I actually like Monero and its anon tech.. I just prefer this to subforum to be general discussion about all Alt coins not just Monero, as I am interested in improving crypto coins beyond simply making them more anonymous.

That being said, my post above was not meaning to "poke the dragon". It was my honest assessment of the situation.

Creative xmr trolling.. well played OP  Cool
476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most annoying coin community on: September 17, 2014, 09:44:46 PM
Can we get BCN on this list? By the way most of the xmr supporters you are all so annoyed with are actually fake "supporters" paid to shill and be annoying..
477  Other / Archival / Re: delete on: September 17, 2014, 07:16:04 PM

Another Moneroman88 account LOL

I have nothing to prove but if you will notice that rpietila did in fact respond in this thread and did not dispute anything I posted. (or smooth for that matter)

This isn't new information and I am not the only one that is aware of this. The "annoyance" exploits I did find, that being a chain bloat exploit and a diff exploit that would enable a fairly disruptive TW attack. The keyring issue was discussed among a group and I expanded on it as well successfully tested under the prescribed conditions. I'm sorry if you do not like the facts but seriously I do not have any interest in saving, improving, investing or attacking XMR.

~BCX~

Right, you're only interested in posting publicly about a "coin-killer" exploit and then claiming you have "nothing to prove"

they are obligated to give full btc refunds because it was specifically stated in the ToS and also confirmed in an email to support staff.

in nearly every US state, the remedy for a violation of a contractual duty to deliver a fungible good is the market value of that good at breach, and unless the parties agree and execute otherwise, that remedy is in legal tender.

If HF_CL fails at calming down the community newly created accounts of people knowing the law better than our lawyers arrive to the rescue.

Hi cedivad!

It turns out that Clobered09 and I did know better than your crummy, impotent, and now long-gone lawyer.  Don't try to argue with me about legal stuff, because you will lose no matter how much money you waste on attorney fees.   Smiley

I'd like to thank you, gmaxwell, Phinneaus, and everyone else who loudly and publicly eschewed the opportunity to cash 105% refund checks in the lulzy, but futile, hope a judge would order HF to give you all 600% windfalls (plus court costs).

You guys really set a great example and provided some stellar advice!

Every remaining penny of those refused refund checks is now eligible to help pay for my order's unfulfilled MPP.  Isn't that super?   Grin

You are phenomenally and stunningly full of shit. In addition, your posting history makes it obvious that you suffer from severe psychological issues. Seek help
