461  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Dragon-miner.com on: July 15, 2014, 09:52:29 PM
The problem with escrow is price volatility but i get ya bro. Gotta stay smart .dragon miners are gonna be replaced soon by somthing more amazing im sure. Cant wait to see huge ones
What's the problem exactly? The site is charging 1.1btc flat. No variation based on exchange rate. The 1.1btc can be sent to a trusted escrow, once I receive the miner, escrow is released.
I don't see the 'volatility' problem. I'm not about to blindly send btc to a sketchy looking site that is charging much less for a dragon miner compared to everyone else.

I only know 100% that hes a good guy and has all the miners he claims too . I have seen his power bill for the hosted miners:P
Escrow or no deal. I don't deal with "trust" in the bitcoin world. Smiley
463  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Dragon-miner.com on: July 15, 2014, 09:40:01 PM
Dragon-miner.com is NOT A SCAM
CONFIRMED
I know the owner , he used a video he found on youtube on his site .

I know the owner very well that he has helped us with many things including our account setup and coding for our coin
dragon-miner.com has shipped 1000's of units
If that's the case, would they be willing to do escrow? If so, I'll buy a dragon right now for the promised 1.1btc.
464  Economy / Services / Re: Cloudbet Signature Campaign – up to 0.12 BTC per month for 50 posts on: July 11, 2014, 11:51:26 PM
Can I reserve a spot after/on July 20th?
The OP says that they won't be accepting new registrations after the 16th. And they don't do reservations either.
465  Economy / Services / Re: Cloudbet Signature Campaign – up to 0.12 BTC per month for 50 posts on: July 10, 2014, 10:55:42 PM
It's because they (including myself) joined prior to there being a minimum post requirement. I left the campaign prematurely to pursue a higher paying one, but have returned since then because the other campaign has been discontinued. Cloudbet was nice enough to let me rejoin despite my post count.

Cloudbet, would it be possible for me to join on the 11th? I was previously a member of this campaign but switched. I'd like to rejoin and hope that you can make an exception regarding me not having 500 posts. Please let me know if I can join this campaign after my current one is over. Thanks.

Yes that's fine, please message me and post again once you've updated your signature.

Cheers,
Dennis

467  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: July 08, 2014, 07:04:11 PM
The "purchase" isn't completed until the units are received.

Yup, fixed it by deleting everything except for the wallet. Previously, I had deleted just the two blk files. Thanks

I just left a delicious negative trust feedback for black arrow. Cheesy
The best part? HE CAN'T DELETE IT!

It won't sync. It's been sitting at 167 weeks behind for a day now. And there's a warning message at the top.
472  Economy / Services / Re: Genesis-mining.com || Signature Campaign || Discontinued on: July 06, 2014, 06:55:50 PM
@Genesis-Mining: would you consider continuing this campaign at a reduced payout? Instead of 0.15, you could reduce it to 0.12 or 0.1, similar to other currently successful campaigns.
Thanks

My wallet keeps crashing again.. I've changed absolutely nothing except for updating to the latest 0.3.75 version. Error says:
Runaway exception
A fatal error occurred. Namecoin can no longer continue safely and will quit.

EXCEPTION: NSt8ios_base7failureE
CDataStream::read(): end of data
***namecoin-qt.exe in Runaway exception

Edit: deleting blk001.dat and blkindex.dat files in the AppData folder worked. Now I have to wait an eternity to download the blockchain again. >_>

Who wants to guess what each X-3 (2TH) will fall to after they finish delivering to batch 1 and 2? My guess is $3500

That will still be overpriced.
That's what cointerra is still going for. It should be under $3000 to compete with the S3 though.

If you buy 2 TH in S3 is ~2000 bucks.

2000/ 478 = 4.18 *.74 = 3.09    * 650  =  $2012

There is no reason to pay more than that today. Looks like we are solidly at $1 per GH/s
There's also 2 PSUs required. Also not to mention the lack of a sweet lcd! /s

It should be changed to say "Will be deployed next week"

UPDATE: So, Dan Murtha decided to reach out to me in order to fix the situation. He asked me how much store credit I thought was fair and I said $1200 since that's how much I lost in the refund. I also said that I'd be willing to accept two S3s as well. He offered me $1000 credit and I agreed.
I hereby rescind/renounce/repudiate/abjure all the negative things I've said about Minersource and I will be sure to edit all recent posts referencing them to reflect this update.
Thanks Minersource for doing the right thing in the end.

Nice to see others get treated better by Minersource. When I requested my $4800 refund, Dan Murtha told me no and only gave me $3600. When I requested replacement hardware, Dan Murtha told me no, they can't offer replacement hardware. When I posted about my displeasure on the forum, Dan Murtha said I flame and threaten them and don't want anymore of my business. And now, they're giving people USD valued refunds (refused to honor for me) and giving store credit/replacement hardware (also refused to honor for me). So forgive me, Dan Murtha, if I "flame" you for treating me worse than your other customers. Minersource will forever be on my shit list until they right the wrong they did towards me.
See update.

Got an email back from Minersource.

Should I get added to the refund queue and wait it out, or get MS store credit immediately to get potentially a Rocket Box in a few days?

What you guys think?
It's funny how when I requested to have some Dragons or SP-10s sent to me in lieu of the X-3, they said that they can't do hardware exchanges and instead gave me a reduced value refund.

You really need to file a complaint here, http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx. There is no way that will hold up in court.
Done. Feels much better now. We'll see if anything ever comes of it.
