Got an email back from Minersource.
Should I get added to the refund queue and wait it out, or get MS store credit immediately to get potentially a Rocket Box in a few days?
What you guys think?

Good luck with getting a refund. I paid less than half the current asking price for X3s and X1s, and BA still will not give me a refund. I don't think Minersource.net has the cash to cover all of the refunds. We will see who folds first, BA or Minersource. The real issue isn't with minersource, they are trying to uphold their end - unfortunately they don't have your money, black arrow does, it's been sitting in their bank account drawing them interest all this time. I've read their forums a few times and checked out their frequently asked questions; from the looks of things if you want your money back you'll have a long wait (and just may want to get a lawyer involved - class action lawsuit?).
Now personally I think minersource should be applauded if they have been reimbursing customers out of pocket; to me that says a lot about their character; they seem to be doing everything in their power to keep their customers happy. Now if only Black Arrow took a page from their book.
Just be patient with minersource..
I've only had good dealings with them; they no doubt have to field the same questions from hundreds if not thousands of disgruntled customers that are getting fed up with this continuous hold cycle that Black Arrow has thrust upon every one.
While I agree with you 100% and have had nothing but happy dealings with MinerSource, they chose to partner with the likes of BA, and frankly, it doesn't really matter who has my money, as a US citizen who formed an agreement with a US company to deliver goods, they are bound by US laws to refund me if I so choose. I think you are confusing people as being disgruntled with MinerSource when that is not the problem, but, I can either choose to wait and receive machines that have a 75% chance of not returning what I invested in them over a 6+ month period, or I can get my money back today. You would have to be a fool at this point to trust BA with any more money or to even deliver a proper product.

I too got the same email from MS about being added to the refund queue....
They were very apologetic and there were no questions asked about a refund. I think they too know now this farce has gone on for long enough. I feel very very sorry for them and feel they've been the only good thing about this nightmare of an experience. I just hope this whole debacle doesn't take them down. BA should be ashamed for the heartaches they've caused to not only their customers, but their resellers.
Shame, shame, shame

It's funny how when I requested to have some Dragons or SP-10s sent to me in lieu of the X-3, they said that they can't do hardware exchanges and instead gave me a reduced value refund. You really need to file a complaint here, http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/default.aspx. There is no way that will hold up in court.

I'm just trying to be patient and wait it out. I won't ask minersource for a refund unless as a last resort. However I would be open to the option of a hardware exchange (dollar for dollar). Or even a cloud mining option if minersource was to offer one on a temporary basis. Considering $429 (wire transfer and shipping fees) total for 100 GH while they currently have the S1 180 GH for $195..
For what it's worth they offered me a dollar-amount gift card. Tempting, with the S3 coming out. But IDK man, I ordered this thing with play money and I want it. I know some people here made investments and - frankly at this point - lost. And my heart goes out to them. I mean, the "Minersource chose to be a partner with the likes of BA" doesn't really hold up because by the same account you chose to order a BA product. Are we to hold ourselves accountable? Well yeah actually to a certain extent we are - we ordered pre-order bitcoin hardware knowing the past. It's a fine line between "we were lied to" and "we got the most accurate estimate they had that turned out to be inaccurate". I'm not going to litter this forum with even a passing defense of black arrow. I might have In June but we're well into july in China and batch 1 hasn't even shipped. That's pretty inexcusable no matter the circumstance. But I think the resellers made the same choice we did, and they - and we - kind of lost. I hope to hear that Minersource has tracking numbers this week. I'm not holding my breath.

After speaking with MS I decided to take the gift card option. I excepted the risk of a preorder and see no reason MS should have to except all the loss. The real loss is time and difficulty increases. The hardware I purchased with the gift card will hash faster than an X-1 so all is good. Give them a break guys and grab one of the other miners. I have found the people at MS to be as willing to help as they can be, I am not sure that they really know what BA has done at this point and wish they could get out from under it.
What I have learned from this is Preorders are bad, MS people are trying, and PreOrders are bad. There is enough venture capital out there for these companies at this point, crowdfunding a start up tech company is a bad investment at this time.

Put in a support ticket requesting your refund. Took no time at all.

I hope Minersource was smart enough to have some delay clauses in their contract with BA because this situation is a disaster for everyone involved .

Springing for MS store credit to hopefully get a Rocket Box instead.
Thanks for everyone's insight and feedback!
Update: Much props to Dan Murtha of Minersource.net (co-founder). Hooked me up with the store credit gift card in the exact refund amount of my X-1s. Time to let it Rock let it Rock let it Rock! Would go for Ant S3 if they had it, but that ain't shipping until late July anyways.

May give Black Arrow another chance one day.. In the not so near future. Once they've actually delivered a product - that's actually fully functional and available for shipping at the time of purchase - at this rate in a year or two. Good luck.

I did the same thing earlier, Dan was very helpful, so I bought some of those little Zeus miners instead with the store credit.

UPDATE: So, Dan Murtha decided to reach out to me in order to fix the situation. He asked me how much store credit I thought was fair and I said $1200 since that's how much I lost in the refund. I also said that I'd be willing to accept two S3s as well. He offered me $1000 credit and I agreed. I hereby rescind/renounce/repudiate/abjure all the negative things I said about Minersource and I will be sure to edit all recent posts referencing them to reflect this update. Thanks Minersource for doing the right thing in the end.
That's good, Minersource have some interesting things to spend on.

The best thing out of this whole Black Arrow debacle is being introduced to Miner Source. They are a good company.
