yea I think bitmaintech is the asic company I have the most confidence in. When I asked for a refund, I didn't know they were so close to shipping, they probably had it all ready and processed and just waiting to get picked up. because I asked for a refund the 9th pacific time and they shipped 10th
462  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bitmaintech refusing refunds on: September 10, 2014, 05:36:35 PM
I guess they didn't want to refund since they shipped them this morning

Dude, you just wasted 1 minute of my life reading this thread.

If you knew they shipped already, why post this drivel.

learn to read retard.

ckolivas, any idea why the new firmware & cgminer version on the s3 would stop access via the API?

I don't have an s3 yet, mine will be here soon though, they have been shipped from china... but in the meantime users of my app are saying when they upgrade firmware and install newest version of cgminer app doesn't have access to api. they've said they still have api access enabled.

when I wrote the app I used the API specs that were in github. it worked before the update.

i'll be able to test when my s3 come but thought maybe someone knew off that top of their head

Are you sure that the s3 still have API access enabled? Check to make sure at least --api-listen --api-network is used

I used the latest API docs for cgminer when I made the app

I've got --api-listen --api-allow W:192.168.1.0/24,W:127.0.0.1

I added in --api-network on one of the S3s and no difference.

They all show as Dead.

However they are all visible in Awesome Miner as that's what the --api-allow is for so I can add/remove/switch pools on the fly.

?

I'll take a look at it today, I just got an email this morning that bit main shipped my s3s. So I'll have them soon worse case scenario to test with

changed a few things, removed username and password, they are not needed.

added more room in grids to accommodate s2's extra information.

If they haven't broken any terms, they aren't really obligated to refund you.

its good business to refund people's money if they want one though.
474  Bitcoin / Hardware / bitmaintech refusing refunds on: September 09, 2014, 05:48:16 PM
bitmaintech is refusing to refund my sept 20th order... I thought they were a little classier than that?
475  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Spiceminer's Ant Viewer - Online monitoring stats! alerts - Antminer monitoring! on: September 09, 2014, 05:42:58 PM
mine been running for days without erroring out, I've been checking the memory usages and it was very low.

i'll keep trying to see what I can find, but if you can look back in the application event viewer and see if there was a .net error. that would help so much, i'm sure I could fix it if I had that information.

I also bought an s2 last night, i'll make a few little changes to be able to display the extra data from the s2, like the fans, temps, and what not
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: downloaded BitCoin Core few days back, still downloading blocks. very slow on: September 09, 2014, 04:47:02 PM
your not connected to enough nodes
(think about it like torrents, if your only connected to 2 seeds you wont get alot of speed)

restart client or/and try adding some supernodes.

also i hope you got bitcoin-core from bitcoin.org and no other source as theirs rumours of altcoins pretending to be the legit bitcoin client which might be another reason

can you change how many nodes it connects to? it only ever says 8 for me
477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: downloaded BitCoin Core few days back, still downloading blocks. very slow on: September 09, 2014, 04:39:02 PM
its very slow and gets corrupted constantly. if you check out the debug window you'll probably see that your blocks are no longer increasing. if you shut it off and start it again it'll start again for a while
478  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Spiceminer's Ant Viewer - Online monitoring stats! alerts - Antminer monitoring! on: September 09, 2014, 02:41:07 PM
Back again.

1.1.7 Version.

On one of my PC-s it stops refreshing after some time. No error message or something, just simply stops. If I refresh by hand it goes back to normal.

On the other one I usually found it closed after about half a day, I was not able to catch any error messages.

what about in the application event viewer. Can you check there for any .net errors?

480  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S1 keeps burning out PSU on: September 08, 2014, 06:47:16 PM
If the PSU weighs less than 3 pounds it's probably trash (for mining at least).  Compare weights between a Seasonic 500W and a Raidmax 500W - almost a 2 pound difference in weight.

For the more technical people all you need to do is look at the 12V specs and see how many Amps the PSU can output.

yea the thermalake ones are so light. I thought there was something missing lol
