461  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My experience day trading - no moon shots on: September 17, 2018, 01:28:54 PM
Richest crypto friend I have, is this type of trader. He doesn't look for x100 coins he looks for 5% profits. When he buys a coin he puts a sell order right away for 5% profits and just leave it be. If the price drops he purchases some more, he always puts some coins aside just in case and when the price drops he uses that left over capital and even lefts some more. This way the coin drop 50% if it needs to be and he still buys more and whenever it makes him 5% profit he sells it. That way he made his coins from 0.9 bitcoin to like 30 bitcoin now because he was patient and he always got out quick and never hold a bag too long.

How can anyone be making any profit from such type of trade if the crypto currencies are either being too volatile on negative side or they may not be moving in the positive direction at all.
It is still possible to make profits in this volatile market even it is slowly moving down side. For example, look at dogecoins. It is time to trade select coin rather than sticking with what we had traded last year. Choose your pairs wisely and you may find yourself successful when you apply new strategies.
462  Economy / Economics / Re: China’s Crypto Custody Sector Is Growing despite the Mainland Ban on: September 17, 2018, 12:35:18 PM
What could be really banned if its technological ?

In many countries the VPN  usage is sky high and people keep going to websites the government has banned. That is just one example, I have seen bans on all kinds of tech related stuff in some countries that people keep finding solutions to by pass that ban.

China is a huge country and yes if they allowed people to use coins the way they want and let them be the bitcoin deal would have been a lot bigger there however no matter how much you ban crypto, it is not something you can just go and ban, the things you ban are the exchanges and people can still trade OTC some how.
463  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin could be use as unified currency for all fiat money around the world? on: September 17, 2018, 10:55:39 AM
Well it is true that Bitcoin can be use for spending anywhere in the world but it needs more improvement so that it could equal the US Dollar in which it can be use instantly around the world unlike Bitcoin that not all establishments are accepting it and the need for internet is vital on every transaction.
Well, it cannot be equal to USD in the logical sense because USD is fiat and centralized. Sure, the idea of seeing it being used all over the world and being a currency more preferred by a lot of citizens of each country could be possible, but we also have to understand that each government will still want to push their fiat and find a way to keep doing that even if it is on the blockchain to at least still make fiat stay relevant, so, i still cannot capture my head on the possibilities of it working out.

Ths is one of the goals of bitcoin, as to provide more broad and satisfying services and products to its client/customer. I believe that this is possible in the future.
Yeah, a time will come when bitcoin will be easily used for payment purposes, and then people will tend to realize how easy things are meant to be without anyone trying to be in control and in this case the government. As a unified currency even though it sounds cool to the ears, I am pretty sure it is something that the government may not really want to allow, but over time, as adoption keeps increasing, real life usage keeps increasing, who can tell?
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS has poor community on: September 16, 2018, 02:59:00 PM
Crypto in general has a toxic community that is louder than the people who keep it to themselves and support it silently. This is not an EOS problem, it is more of a crypto problem. Yes, I do observe similar behavior many other coin community also. That may be a trick followed by competitors but not sure anything about anything like that.

Even in politics the fanatics yell louder than the neutrals because people who want everyone to be happy usually leaves everyone else to themselves however when the fanatics want something for themselves and want their own way in government they yell louder because they have a thing to yell for, they yell "we want x" however regular people just say "leave me alone" which is not yelling.

Eos and crypto and humanity in general has the same thing, fanatics yell louder than normal people.
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: everything will be ok. trust in crypto. on: September 16, 2018, 01:47:47 PM
you are right that everything will be okay, if we believe in crypto. indeed, success has many obstacles and if you have planned it well, the results we get are also better. we must calm down and see that market movements are starting to improve, I hope this is the bull run we are waiting for.
Yes. Nothing happens overnight and there is no success that comes without some level of pain and some patience in between it all. It is just unfortunate that certain people are clouded in their judgment as a result of their greed and with that, they tend not to get to see opportunities even when they come which is why they discard the opportunity that is applicable to a bear market in which you have the chance to buy the dips.

everything will be ok soon. There is nothing to be worry about. Soon the bulls will come and pump the market to the moon.
Anyone who wants to worry will only end up doing more harm to his or her health because by the time they are battling with a high blood pressure, the market is already recovering and setting new heights and gains in the future. It is a market and every market has two conditions to it, which is the bullish condition and the bearish condition. Now, it is left for you if you want to see a half empty cup or a half filled cup in this equation of the market which I believe every optimistic fellow will see it as an advantage to be buying low.
466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum Actually Heading for a Collapse? on: September 16, 2018, 11:26:22 AM
Buterin talked about the Ethereum developer community is working on proposals to make gas payments in ETH at the protocol level, which could prevent the ETH price collapse.

The recent post on TechCrunch titled ‘The Collapse of ETH is Inevitable’, by crypto entrepreneur Jeremy Rubin, has caused a major uproar in the Ethereum community. Jeremy in his blog post wrote that a price collapse is soon to follow due to the failure to scale and adopt better and secure contract authoring practices.

https://www.coinspeaker.com/2018/09/04/is-ethereum-actually-heading-for-a-collapse-co-founder-vitalik-buterin-opens-up-his-views/
No it is not. The simple reason why ethereum fell in price. Basically many people bought ethereum and spent it on ICO tokens, which caused ethereum price to skyrocket and get the second place from litecoin aka "silver to bitcoins gold" and now still standing at second place even after the price went down so much and everyone is fearing for the drops.

However, when the bear market hit, those ICO people you sent ethereum to started to sell their ethereums, they started to get rid of the funds they have and get cash instead and use that to improve their coins while at the same time we are in a bear market. Which means there is no chance in hell ethereum is heading for a collapse, its just bad timing.
467  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why does anyone care about BTC ETF? on: September 16, 2018, 07:27:19 AM
I'm no expert but why does everyone make such a big deal about something that many experts have warned would have a negative impact on the price? It's almost like people need the blessing of "big brother" to feel ok about something. This is supposed to be decentralized people, you want regulations then go invest in stocks. Am I outta line here?
That is because people always want to believe whatever they want to believe.

Yeah, the approval of ETF could bring about some more money into the crypto space and possibly channel the market to the mainstream but the reality here is that it would even subject the market to more speculation because in this case, we already know those who are simply holding most part of it after chasing the weak hands away.

I know a lot of people are clamoring on regulation being something that could bring about some market maturity, but truth be told, as adoption kept increasing, the market has been maturing on its own gradually better than the way it used to.
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy or Not on: September 16, 2018, 04:20:06 AM
You can buy coins at any time, because the most important thing is that you sell the coin when the price is higher. The fluctuations of some coins at this time are getting better, it can be seen from the fluctuations that start to rise little by little. This will be able to make a profit if you start now, this can make a profit for short-term trading.
Buying most of the time should be dependent on each person's strategy as the case may be and not just based on some unnecessary short term anticipation in the market which a lot of people always fall for. Buying requires you to understand the risk, be ready to accept it as a holder when you see the negative happens, see an opportunity in it and just like you said, and ensure you do not panic to sell for loss but rather should be buying the dips if you have enough to do so.

I think not good all because  all cryptos are too low now even ETH too. But now i want to strat trading again. Can i buy coins in this situation or not.
You asked us how we all are and then you assumed for us immediately that it is not good because of the current condition of the crypto space. That may be a problem for some people but definitely not for everyone. It is understandable to see people feel bad for how far the market has gone, most especially for holders, but for those who understand that it is just for a period of time will see it as an opportunity to be gulping the discounts as they come.
469  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTFD and HODL strategy (New contrarian strategy) on: September 15, 2018, 06:39:52 PM
Since you are buying the dips and holding anyway, I would not say you already have your plan as an investor and not necessarily a trader, but you also have to understand that this plan may not work out well for the altcoin market, as even the one with the less % in 24 hours can still go much more lower in percentage loss for you.

Moreover I am still very curious though as everything sounds so simple and logically, if the market gets to behave well in the long term might be good, but in the short term; it is still a high risk to be taking without a stop loss. Like I said though, it is good you have your plan and you are executing it to see if it would pay you, so I will be monitoring your thread to see how that works out for you. Good luck!
470  Economy / Speculation / Re: will the price of the bitcoin will reach so high that no one can buy it ? on: September 15, 2018, 05:18:27 PM
I believe if bitcoin price goes million dollars then people will want to invest on this project because they know if they invest on this project they will definitely gain some profit.
I am sure before bitcoin would even reach that stage, there would have been more adoption based on real life usage as that is the only way it would be reasonable and who knows maybe at some point, a satoshi might even be pegged to a dollar or thereabout. Just thinking out loud anyway!

Price of bitcoin going so high will still make a lot of people to buy just the same way people are still buying now and there would be no difference, but the only issue would be, if the market still remains speculative in nature and highly volatile as a result of that, a lot of people will want to consider it too risky to be getting in by then.
471  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto Market Will ‘Absolutely’ Grow 1000x and More on: September 15, 2018, 03:48:44 PM
People are free to air their opinions and views on the cryptocurrency market, and how high it can rise.
I personally don't think that bitcoin can rise that much.
Over the next months (and possibly years) I feel the bitcoin market would stabilize, with more adoptions and circulation, it would always be volatile and the price would always fluctuate though. But by a smaller margin.
Yes. It is a free world and everyone is for sure entitled to what they feel but in the real sense, it is not something very realistic. First, to correct you, Zhao was not just referring to bitcoin, but the whole crypto space in general. For that kind of thing happening, just take the current market capitalization and multiply it by 1000 to see what that gives you and comparing to the amount of money available worldwide, see if this is something possible or not. I may be wrong, but does not seem like it.

Even though Vitalik does not support the statement that 1000x can even still be possible, well, it is still a very good belief. I know we still have more room to grow but at the same time, no one can really tell how far the space in this room can be occupied as there would always be several factors that would make things end up not seeming how we want it. With a thousand fold in the long run, we are talking about trillion of dollars market cap, which sounds a whole lot.
472  Economy / Economics / Re: BITCOIN / GOLD on: September 15, 2018, 08:08:12 AM
of course I will choose gold for now. well, my goal to collect bitcoin is for offline investment, and gold is one of my targets. well, but after getting gold, I won't stop looking for bitcoin. basically I am more interested in choosing both.
Choose a struggle bro as you keep contradicting yourself in a way. You will choose gold for now; you are more interested in choosing both, etc. It is a world we cannot know what the future holds for anything and as far as I am concerned, that was the essence of diversification in the first place. They both have their own values they create and we should remember that Rome was not built in a day.

Hence, if anyone feels that at some point, we might not end up having a matured market for bitcoin and things getting a lot faster and better in development than this, with some huge adoption which who knows, may even be more than gold (just saying, not like I mean that)... then that is what they want to believe. As for me, there is no harm in having both. There is only harm in missing out.
473  Economy / Economics / Re: What's Crypto innovation for you? on: September 15, 2018, 06:59:27 AM
It is a great opportunity for us having cryptocurrency in our economy, society, community, and in our lives. The invention of virtual world leads to the community progress and it helps all people to look forward in other great opportunities. The intelligence of humanity could support and give best idea for the innovation of our world.
It is really a very great opportunity and a lot of people may certainly not know how that has been of huge help from the time it all started till now. It is a great invention of a lifetime and the future as the case may be.

This all aggravated from the previous economic crisis and the need to have a decentralized form in which rather than the government being in control and ruining things, as well as having a third party controlling the way we spend, having a cryptocurrency which will solve all of that will really be of great help and there it is. Actually, what OP mentioning is not really a small step and I must say it is indeed a very brilliant one.

A lot has been said about cryptography in the past and how it can really make some impact when it is brought to the financial system, however, how to make it a reality was not really there and it was basically more like a theoretical thing, but lo and behold, Satoshi made that a reality and whether a single person or a group, that is some kudos.
474  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Perfect time for ICO? on: September 14, 2018, 06:35:21 PM
What are you suggestions regarding perfect time for ICO launch? Is it during ETH drop, if ICO`s token price is fixed in ETH, or is it during ETH going up? Maybe somebody prefer specific price of ETH, for example, $ 200, or $ 400, or $ 800? Please share your opinion
Anytime is a good time for ICO, the only thing here is that a lot of investors may not want to be putting in much considering that based on the value of the ICO, more Ethereum will be leaving their wallets as a result of the low price compared to when it was still around $1000 and any amount you are buying then is going to be worth it. However, I do not see why that should really be a problem for an investor anyway, since it is still all about how much you are willing to invest in the ICO in the first place compared to the current value of the market.

Last ICOs have bad ROIs https://icodrops.com/ico-stats/ and nobody wants to invest in ICOs now. So the perfect time for ICO launch is the next bull run when ICOs will moon again after listings on exchanges. But we don't know when new bull run begins.
People are still investing in ICOs as long as it still seems a viable project that is worth taking a risk on for the long term. It is the crypto space where I keep seeing people who are so much focused on the short term, but real investors who put funds in a project usually do not get to dump their tokens, but they tend to hold for as long as they can, knowing that in anyway, they are still going to be making huge profits eventually from their holding.
475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is cryptocurrency a ponzi? on: September 14, 2018, 04:26:40 PM
What do you give the word Ponzi? I think so the question will be put more clearly. Does the world have crypto currency, manipulation and fraud? My answer is yes. But this does not mean that the crypto-currencies and their creators are to blame for this. As light attracts night butterflies, so money beckons scammers. It is inevitable.
The definition of a ponzi "is a form of fraud in which a purported businessman lures investors and pays profits to earlier investors using funds obtained from newer investors". - curbed from Wikipedia.

Now, if we are to relate this definition to cryptocurrency, no one is forcing anyone or deceiving anyone to invest, but it is a choice. Secondly, there is a value for what you want to invest in when it comes to cryptocurrency which is the fact that with it, you can make faster transactions globally without a third party and this is one great value among others as far as I am concerned, which is one thing ponzi will never give you.

Ponzi implodes over time as it would not be able to sustain itself, so we can say shit coins may be a ponzi, but not the entire crypto world and most especially for projects with great products.
476  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum will become zero value? on: September 14, 2018, 12:32:58 PM
Feels a bit late to sell an asset after loosing like 1000$ per ETH hehe so now is the time to HODL again, time to sell has been the last 8 months. At this point we are just as likley to see some upgrades to eth and perhaps a reversing of the falling trend as we are likely to see further drops.
Anyone selling out of panic now will only end up regretting it pretty fast than they would realize. Just holding on to whatever you have is always the best thing to do and if you have funds somewhere hanging around, buying the dips is also another very smart thing to do. The market is not going to remain in a downtrend forever and it would pick up back as recovery at some point is inevitable as long as the market is not dead and still have a lot of usefulness and support.

Just asking your opinion about the crisis of ethereum, this coin will become useless? Or still price correction?
I doubt to hold ethereum coz I saw the ethereum value still goes down:(
What do you think guys it's time to SELL or HODL?
Let me know your thoughts please:)
You should not even be considering selling at this stage when the market is already down as that is likely the most absurd and dumbest thing to do. This is a time to buy, the market generally is in a downtrend and sure, no one knows if Ethereum will peradventure go lower than it is now, but if you are smart, and you are looking at the long term, then you will make buying moves right now rather than selling at all.
477  Economy / Economics / Re: If the stocks market will crash again like 2008, what will happen to bitcoin on: September 13, 2018, 04:45:35 PM
bitcoin is not yet mature enough for investors to be considered a solid place to go because of its extreme volatility and the unpredictable nature of it. but at the same time it has been one of the investment options among investors for a while now.
so it would be reasonable assumption to think in case of a market crash elsewhere, the investors shift some part of their investment into bitcoin specially those who are already diversifying using bitcoin as an additional option.
Certainly and I do not expect any serious big time investor to want to play that card to that level when they know the decentralized nature of cryptocurrency on its own can really is a volatile craze of the market. However, I believe things will change over time and people will get to see the bigger picture. It is an unpredictable world but I still believe more focus will be on the likes of gold which has always been an asset in terms of safe haven for moments like this.

Nevertheless, I want to believe only time can tell how the crypto space will eventually turn out.
478  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where you take inspiration when you tired from trading? on: September 13, 2018, 03:08:59 PM
After tired from trading i prefer to watch my favourite movie and doing some others hoby. While take rest i try to thinking again, what is my mistake in trading. I did the same mistake again and again that is too greedy, and i have to try manage this emotion. I was started in crypto on 2015 and i should be make alot of money from it but because many crypto going up to 100 times since that times, but greedy bring me loss so much.
When I am done trading for the day, I either relax myself with some games or watch some movies. I was very used to this when I used to be a day trader and after so many hours of staring at the screen, the brain sure needs to be able to take some chill pill for the rest of the day. Recently, when my pattern switched to swing trading though, I tend to have more time for myself when it comes to doing other things.

if ever i feel tired from trading , what i only do is i take a break for about a few weeks or even months .  that time would be enough for me to unwind to release the raport that builds up on my head .
It depends though on what the OP is classifying as tired of trading. Usually, if this is a spot where your revenue comes from and what you do daily, I do not see any way one would have to be tired of such. Normally, you can get tired after a long day job, but that is the idea of unwinding to be able to clear your head and most of the time, when I feel I have worked so hard enough and made enough money, I tend to go on vacations to at least give myself a treat, relax enough and hit back with freshness.
479  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there a required amount before you start trading? on: September 13, 2018, 11:30:17 AM
Trading is risky so you should use money that willing to loss, and for the better use maximum 1% of total your money. And then try to multiple that money in trading by compound strategy. If you have management of money, disiplin and trading plan you have probability to make that money up to 10 to 50 times in 1 years from crypto trading.
There are a lot of things a trader need to always know before trading and you tend to learn from experience every single day which is why I always say for every new trader, the required amount to start trading is $0. Why did I say that ? You can start trading and practicing what you have learned, without trading with real funds.

For instance, platforms like bitmex gives you free money to play around with. Get to use this to perfect your trade, gain confidence on how to trade effectively with real money which is something you will get to know yourself from how you have been able to utilize the free money into getting something substantial and in all cases, do not rush a damn thing.

If you rush in, you will rush out no matter the amount you start with.
480  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Why Bitcoin Will Hit New Highs - ETF Date August 10th on: September 13, 2018, 10:22:38 AM
I think the results of ETFs cannot make the price of bitcoin rise even there is a bitcoin price tends to fall and concern because various kinds of issues circulating at this time can have an influence on the price of bitcoin.
ETF is just a piece of the equation and I do not expect it to have any serious effect on the price in the long run. Bitcoin price is still more subjected to bearish conditions at the moment and the fact that we can see a quick drop in price than an upward movement depicts that. The market is just not ready for an upward bullish momentum yet and I do not see in any case how ETF will be able to make that happen. Even though, a lot of people may have some bullish sentiment kicking in, with respect to institutions kicking in, but be rest assured that the same institutions will want the weak hands totally out before they start accumulating.

I have been expecting ETFs to bring a turn for the cryptocurrency market, but repeatedly refused, I think the chances of ETFs passing the review are very slim!
I still do not know why people will keep focusing on this ETF thing like the crypto existence depends on it. Without ETF the market has been going up and has been going down as a result of manipulations. Certainly, the market will obviously get matured over time with ETF approval, but that does not mean all of a sudden we would just expect to see some quick bullish movement as a result of that. It could happen and it could not, but there is really no point trying to put your mind so much on the future you cannot see.
