461  Economy / Economics / Re: Is china one reason why bitcoin dumping now? on: March 11, 2018, 06:19:06 PM
I have a link here that maybe China is one of probably cause by dumping of bitcoin by their miners.
https://techcrunch.com/2018/01/08/china-is-reportedly-moving-to-clampdown-on-bitcoin-miners/
Share your thought about this guys and help to enlighten my mind.

Pretty sure this won't be reason at all. Though this news is old but I would like to add my point of view on it. I really think that miners keep selling their bitcoin's as soon as they get mined because they have to cover up their expenses of electricity and maintaining cost so they need lots of money for that purpose. I'm sure they can't keep waiting all the time for bitcoin price to spike and hence they keep selling it once they get it confirmed. Or they could be selling at least 50% of the bitcoin and thus it decereses the count of coins with them. This may not dump it that badly as gox situation did. :-D
462  Other / Meta / Re: Post count goes down without notification on: March 11, 2018, 05:29:39 PM
But nonetheless, I think there should be some sort of notifications to let us know this is the reason.

Can you imagine how much work it would be if they deleted a couple of threads with over 2,000 replies.

I suspect the answer is to avoid those threads with hundreds of replies.

That's true we can not have such automated system as it will be extra load on the forum itself. Also it won't be problem for you because you don't have to do the coding behind that project but mods will have to. There is no meaning to such system which will notify you about your deleted thread as it would have been deleted after its purpose was served and it's being converted to junk thread by thousands of the same replies from different users. That's what I think about it.
463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tax on crypto? on: March 11, 2018, 05:05:13 PM
What if the government agree to use crypto as an payment gateway but with tax.

Is it possible?

Whether they accept it as payment mode or not it is sure that you have to pay all the taxes at your will. You can not hide your bitcoin income and if you do so then surely it will be your loss at all. Though they have not declared it officially but it does have to be on your own to pay the taxes. Payment gateway with tax would be just official declaration that you have to pay the taxes at any terms and thus making it mandatory.
464  Other / Meta / Re: Signature bounties and Merits on: March 10, 2018, 03:48:09 PM
How do the signature bounties affect to the merits? I had participated a signature bounty and during that time I did not receive at least one merit. Honestly, during that time, I had to post more posts (to meet signature bounty requirement) it affected to the quality of the posts. But I didn't receive any merit for the good posts (according to my knowledge Smiley). By the way now I'm not participating any signature bounty will see if I get any merits without a signature.
Do you think Signature bounties affect to the bounty hunters merit?

Wondering why you think that signature campaigns affect your merits? Its not like people are watching you enrolled into the signature campaigns and they think that you might be posting very fast! Lolz! This has got nothing to do with that one im sure.

It would be your own skills to post in the quality way. I mean people are here who post daily, lot of posts and they are getting merited for many of the posts. Its their speed and quality which makes this all happen.
465  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what do you think about bitcoin's dominance over whole crypto market? on: March 10, 2018, 12:49:52 PM
1. over 40% now, do you think this percentage will keep going?

2. what will happen if % drops, is this a positive or negative sign for you?

Quote
1. over 40% now, do you think this percentage will keep going?

BTC dominance must be greater than whole crypto currency because that is very important for its sustained workflow. We have seen highest dominance of 60% in the last year so compared to that one I don't think BTC romance currently is very good. It has to improve its position for sure.

Quote
2. what will happen if % drops, is this a positive or negative sign for you?

Obviously any drop in the BTC dominance would not be good for the bitcoin. Its negative thing to happen. Somehow the dominance must keep up above 30% so that it can give the BTC top #1 position all the time.  Cheesy
466  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Reduce to $ 4000? on: March 09, 2018, 04:27:11 PM
According to some sources, Binance was hacked just to hide the sale bitcoin of the Japanese (mt.gox) ( ~800k BTC ). If there are more information about the hacking exchange. Then, BTC breaking below 4xxx, maybe 2k5, I think the best way : u should to sell all your BTC, altcoin. All exchange will die. Thats' the second mt.gox. ***Attention from now until 7/4/2018.
The Chinese exchange is not easy to hack. If so, it is deliberate......

I don't think that it will go down to 4K or something. The sold bitcoin (by mt.gox) will be replenished with new investment very fast because there are many more millionaires in the world who are seeking for the best entry into the crypto. I think many people will now buy huge amounts of bitcoin and this will fill up that blank hole which has been created because of recent mass dump.

So lets not worry about the price as it will bounce back soon.
467  Economy / Economics / Re: Working smart vs working hard on: March 09, 2018, 11:51:41 AM
My father was a hard worker, he worked for 35 years in the same company.
He was a good worker, Dedicated and skilled but that was at a time before computers really.
Nowadays there are so many more opportunities for people to work Smarter rather than working hard for someone else.
Of course we have to be able to identify how to work smarter and not harder and there are through no fault of their own identify this.

Yeah this is the reality. Ask the old peoples and they will tell how they used do the hard work and they never got the share they should have been receiving always. What they received is just the shouts of big boss and more than 8 hours of work schedule in the same chair. Couldn't believe how they did it for so long time. Just look at the todays world now, people here are working very smart and they have no bosses on the asses. They can earn as much they want and whenever they want it to do so. So thats the difference between these two types of working types. We must choose wisely and change according to the situation.
468  Economy / Economics / Re: surprise 2018 on: March 08, 2018, 05:57:51 PM
this moment is a very confusing moment for beginners, because if they decide to hold in volatility such as ups and downs, they will be influenced by FUD and others. As I said earlier that we might will not see a positive movement from bitcoin until may. Do not expect too much right now.

Indeed we have no idea what going on right and until the time the confusion doesn't get rid off no one will ever make move to invest into the crypto currencies. Everyone here is surprised by the decreased prices of the bitcoin and thus panicked situation has also been observed in the altcoins section. I mean come on this is getting so bitcoin dependent that the altcoins are also down to more than 10-20% and some of the coins are even down to 50% in negative line. If this situation continued for little longer then I am sure that it would be hardest time for the newbies to invest and would be stressful for the whale investors who are now stocked with bigger investment and low prices.
469  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Crowdfunding Platform? on: March 08, 2018, 04:54:15 PM
Are there are any cryptocurrency crowdfunding platforms that you know of? Either projects that can be funded by Bitcoin, etc. or donations made using cryptocurrencies. If you guys know any a link would be really great, thanks

You should really check out Sociall Project. Just note that there is extra "l" at the end. :-)

This project is decentralised and based on the crowdfunding platform. You can do the paid advertising over there and you can also initiate your own crowdfunding and out sourcing for your own business. This is just perfect platform for your inquiry. Just check out their website for more information.

I would say they are more than Facebook and better than any other crowdfunding platform out there.
470  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto threatens Bank of America? on: March 08, 2018, 03:00:12 PM
I realize this news came out 2 days ago however I love this! Bank of America in fear of crypto as a business risk, ha them bastards deserve what's coming next because they and all the other banks have been screwing us in the billions of dollars in bs fees and penalties annually, not to even mention the trillions of dollars they have tied up in their junk CD's and savings/bank accounts. Here's a link to the article for more info: https://www.coindesk.com/bank-of-america-cryptocurrency-risk-factor-annual-report-10-k/

It is now peoples choice how to use their money. To be honest when we earn money then it is our own property and its upto us how to use it and where to store it if you are properly paying the taxes. Anything left after that is our own and we can keep it as cash, gold, stocks and now with all new advancement we can use the crypto currency. This options has been loved by almost everyone of us and thus we are making the choice now. This is not loved by the bank itself and thus your statement is what we are looking at now. The American banks are indirectly getting threaten I guess but if they have to make the good choice then must collaborate with the whole thing.  Cool
471  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HITBTC in problems ??? on: March 07, 2018, 06:39:21 PM
Anyone having problems to do trading on their exchange ??.
Since several days it's not possible to trade, they claim that  is is due to the transition of STAR Huh
can you pls. indicate if trading is working with you ??
They won't respond to emails so that's already bad signal.

I am trading since long and I have not gotten any problems with this exchanger. However last time I checked was yesterday and today I'm playing on yobit for sometime. But HitBtc is working perfectly that I can tell you surely. I played along XRP, NEM, SCL and ETH yesterday and it was smooth and on time transaction.

You might be getting problems while selling and buying the coins then that's related to faster transactions that are on going. This is leading to filled and cancelled orders to act fast. You might wanna reduce the price a little bit to execute the orders successful. That is my observation but rest you can do it yourself.
472  Economy / Economics / Re: Bill Gates says crypto-currencies cause deaths on: March 07, 2018, 05:15:53 PM
What we can say about that. It is also being done through fiat currency so it's not big thing I guess. I mean buying drugs and doing it via any currency is not different thing, it is what it is. If people are addicted to stuff like that then they are the responsible person for it and not we or neither bitcoin itself. Bitcoin is just another currency if we see everything that is done with the help of it. So it's not the crypto currency which is causing the deaths but anything that is can get you drugs can cause the death. Lol
473  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CONFUSED! on: March 07, 2018, 04:29:55 PM
Hi guys, i really want to learn Technical Analysis and by that i am really confused about what indicators or technique that i should learn first. We know that there are bunch of them to learn, i wanna ask you guys what should i try first to learn or to master that really worked for you too? thanks.

What worked for me started with buy low and ended with sell high. I have never done the technical analysis or never went deep inside the trading techniques. If I would have been gone that far then I could have been confused a lot because I have never been technical person at all.

If you are not the same guy then there is no way you should be confusing yourself with technical analysis. Just keep it simple dude and play with small trades. You will love it all the time and you could still win the profits.
474  Economy / Economics / Re: Are we in danger of recession soon, so yes, who's fault is it? on: March 07, 2018, 01:49:42 PM
In a recent NYT article they stated that Trumps tax cuts might be working too well. So well in fact that they might "overheat" the economy and cause the federal reserve to increase interest rates faster than expected. This is the NYT so take it with a grain of salt but if this really is a problem that economists and investors are worried about, who is at fault here. Is it the republicans for cutting taxes too quickly or is it the federal reserve, or someone else I am totally forgetting?

Obviously it is federal who will be responsible for this one. They will be the one who will cut the taxes and will get higher interest on the assets. I mean come on this is what happened with distinct thing recently in stock exchanges. When the investors were going to charge more than 2% interest then everyone went crazy withdrawing whatever they have in possession and killed the market.

This is what will happen when taxes will be cut faster. People will go crazy buying solid assets thus making it difficult for the time being.
475  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your prediction about the price of Bitcoin at the end of this month? on: March 07, 2018, 11:25:35 AM
I think Bitcoin price value will bounce back at the end of this month because we have passed a couple of weeks without price value increasing. I hope Bitcoin price will reach at least 13K USD within this March.
So what about you..?

Still hoping for the same. Already got my wallet ready with good amount of inevstment when the price of bitcoin was around 8k. Already in profit but I'm enjoying the ride and want to enjoy until it reaches the prices of 15k. I don't know how this shit is going to work further but I believe that all the correction and technical development plays very important role in this. If that recovers fast then I'm sure that we will flag the 13k mark soon.
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the future of bitcoin is it good like as past on: March 05, 2018, 07:12:42 PM
Everyone knows that bitcoin has a great history since 2009.soo what will be the future of bitcoin what will be the situation in bitcoin after 2020 is it makes people millionaires same like in past years

Yes off course the future is bright anyway because the time is great dimension for the bitcoin itself and that we already experienced since the year 2009 when bitcoin was first introduced into the market. The major developments will be done to bitcoin blockchain technology and this will include the scale up issues, blocks size and time of transaction. Off course they all are interrelated and can be vanished in no time! Thus more applications of bitcoin will be done and more investors will get attracted into the bitcoin itself. Thus until 2020 which is almost three years from now can alter the course of future really.
477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 7 safest investments. Why Bitcoin & crypto currencies ?? on: March 05, 2018, 06:32:07 PM
You can investment your money in land, house, gold, silver, stock markets, fixed deposits & savings in banks, start some business or invest in some business (like restaurant, hotels etc..)

Actually Bitcoin and crypto currencies are not required/unwanted  Grin

Crypto currencies can not be compared with those assets which you listed up there. Those assets are centralised and you can hold them but they are not growing as fast as you think and could take forever to reach the hall mark of crypto currencies market cap. I am sure you are just listing them here because you know about them very well. The savings in banks, FD's and all stuff doesn't give you much return (literally 7-8% annually). Thats very less and an average crypto trader would earn that much in a month by just holding the crypto's. Crypto currencies are required because they are unique in their features, they can change the way we see the assets.
478  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading don't work for me too well on: March 05, 2018, 10:40:06 AM
Have lost so much money on coins that doesn't work well for me. I know I'm being impatient and ignorant this maybe a good time to find some insight and good answers on how to get better

Then dont be impatient and ignorant if you dont want to loose more money form this. The trading is game play of those who are very patient and also keen readers of the market signal. They sense everything in short period of time and act quickly on it whenever it is needed by them. This is just one thing, if you want to be good trader then you should also have the good test of the coins that you are choosing. All these things work altogether and then give rise to proper methodology of trading. However if you yourself have accepted that trading dont work for you then forget about it as you have already made the psychology and you may not win in this method at any cost if you dont work hard.
479  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it good to do averaging to make profits in down market? on: March 05, 2018, 10:08:19 AM
hello in January 2018 all coins came down sharply. i have buying of upper levels so should i do averaging or wait?

We have passed the resistance level that was planned at 11.5K USD and it is wise decision to keep your investment little calm for now. The bitcoin is doing just fine for now and I would suggest you to wait for the next dip to occur before buying any coins. The dip is surely will be there as bitcoin has to be corrected one more time as far as I read over the forum. Thus, if you wait then you can do great averaging at little lower price than the current price. Its always great thing to reduce the risk as much as you could. Rest of your stagey was good as you bought at lowered values and now you are averaging your investment.  Wink
480  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Bitcoin become a long-term trusted store of value? on: March 05, 2018, 09:35:18 AM
Whether one should invest in bitcoin or not depends on whether you think Bitcoin will become a long-term trusted store of value.
If it does become a long-term trusted store of value, BTC should trade around $2,000,000 a coin (depending on how many coins are lost and are actually in circulation). That is over 100x the price of where BTC is today.
If BTC does not become a long-term trusted store of value, its likely price will be close to zero (unless it becomes a "cool" collectible... which is a possibility).
So if you think BTC has a 10% chance of becoming a long-term trusted store of value, it is a good investment with a nice expected return. It is still very risky but professional investors should invest some small portion of their portfolio in this case.

I think it is still far from getting those values because BTC would never get store value equivalent to whatever you suggested. Thats nothing but more than 100x market cap than todays market. Cant imagine how much money investors will need to pour into it as its huge and will need at least half of the worlds populations to get engaged with crypto currency like bitcoin itself. I am not sure about my speculation but it is common sense according to investor base that we have today along with the market capitalism.

Quote
(unless it becomes a "cool" collectible... which is a possibility).

I am sure it cant be collectible as it dont have the physical forms. What would you collect? Algorithm, I dont think so.  Cheesy
