Hab mich da noch nicht entschieden - Schätze irgendwo zwischen 0.015 und 0.025. Solange es bei den einzel-SMS mit Pay-per-use bleibt wird da eh nahezu 0 Umsatz generiert werden. Also Geld verdienen werd ich damit nicht :-) Was kostet den der andere Dienst von bitcoinproject.net ?
Generel ist der Sms Versand eine nette idee leider haben viele eine Flat.
So neben bei wie sicher ist es den mit 0confiemationen zu arbeiten ?
Bei bitcoinsms.eu sinds 0.02 BTC. (Aber da kann man den Absender nicht selber festlegen  ) Mittelfristig will ich eine API dazu anbieten. Wie du sagst haben viele leute eh schon eine Flat. Daher ist die Zielgruppe "andere sites die ihre Kunden per SMS benachrichtigen wollen" wohl wichtiger. Z.B. Bitcoinnotify würde sich wahrscheinlich freuen wenn sie ihre SMS direkt in Bitcoins bezahlen können statt in klassischer Währung. Bezüglich 0 confirmations: Ist natürlich nicht 100%sicher - Eine double-spend-Attacke würde problemlos durchgehen. Da es hier aber um so kleine Beträge geht ist mir die Geschwindigkeit und damit der Service wichtiger als die Sicherheit. Kann mir auch nicht vorstellen dass einer den Aufwand für double-spend treibt um 0.0xx BTC zu sparen. Dann doch lieber für teurere Sachen  |

funktioniert einwandfrei. Kaum geklickt schon angekommen. Grosser Vorteil: Eigener Absender, funktioniert auch TipTop. Preis ist auch sehr gut, also an sich alles super.
Trotzdem gehe ich auch bei deinem Anbieter davon aus, das du quasi ständig über die gesendeten Nachrichten stolperst und du somit sozusagen "genötigt" wirst,
da "mitzulesen", was natürlich bedacht werden muss.
Danke fürs Feedback! Du hast natürlich recht, da ich die Nachrichten bis zum Zahlungseingang in meiner Datenbank abspeichern muss kann ich natürlich theoretisch überall reinschauen. Also eure wallet-Passphrase solltet ihr vielleicht doch nicht schicken Ich sehe aber keine andere Möglichkeit so einen Dienst zu implementieren ohne ständig Zugriff auf den Klartext der Nachrichten zu haben. Und der günstige Preis wird sich leider nach der Betaphase ändern, denn kostendeckend ist das so natürlich nicht wirklich... |

Um erstmal zu sehen wie gut alles funktioniert liegt die maximale Anzahl der SMS die im System gleichzeitig aktiv sein können (also auf Zahlungseingang warten) bei 12. Das kann ich aber hochschrauben falls es zu eng wird (Falls alle "slots" belegt sind kommt die Fehlermeldung "Could not obtain payment address. Please try again later"). Während der Betaphase liegt der Preis pro SMS bei 0.01BTC! Ich bin gespannt auf euer Feedback insbesondere was die Geschwindigkeit angeht. In den Tests die ich bisher machte kam die SMS maximal eine Minute nach dem Click auf "überweisen" im client an :-) Danke schonmal! I have to say i really like this way of payment tracking. So much better to always have your wallet under control. And the API is straightforward - took me only 2-3 hours to implement a django module handling the payment process.
Can definitely recommend this!

BitcoinNotify is exactly what I had in mind (in some deep burried corner, its true.) And it seems to me that this is the perfect way for a web site to accept bit coins. Agree. Yesterday i hacked up a django module to utilize bitcoinnotify service - took only 2-3 hours until it worked fine, already including support for partial payments and proper tracking of bitcoin address usage. I really really like this idea because it seems so obvious - No need to handle any external wallet, everything is under your control. The only downside is that you still rely on an external service to manage your payments. But i think that there will be more services appearing offering this service and/or someone will create an open-source version of that service so anybody could host it. (If not, i will do it ) What really impressed me is the speed. When you are willing to take the risk of not waiting for additional confirmations (e.g. for micropayment stuff) you get notification callback already few seconds after hitting "OK" in bitcoin client :-) And if there will be multiple services like this you can just subscribe to all of them, so the risk of one service being down and no payment notifications incoming will be reduced further. |

I am trying to integrate this solution in a django app. Maybe I am missing something, but i don't understand the format of the payment notification.
