Who is responsible for the burning of excess coins after the ICO, and will this be verifiable via block explorer etc.?

Just bought some VIRAL on C-CEX. I am wondering whether VIRAL could become a part of SuperNET. I think, the prerequists are given and it would push the attention for VIRAL.
Well it definitely has a different focus and tech than any other supernet coin, that is supposed to be the main prerequisite for SN. i would think Viral will have to show the goods first at any rate. and

Hi Everyone - We've been working on the satellite node concept that came up in the conversations a couple days ago. It's a great idea because it allows us to grow the Viral network far beyond the number of people actually staking Viral in wallets. We are a few days away from it being fully operational but here is a sneak peak : -) ViralDev Sweet! That is some amazing incentive. If this is what I think it is, it is good news indeed. To put it in viral terms..... : -) ..... a viral infection makes its greatest leaps when it manages to escape a current, closed ecosystem - like crossing an ocean for example. If what this 'satellite node' announcement means is that you do not have to actually have the viral wallet to act as a viral node - then they have figured out a way to escape the crypto-ecosystem, as it were. It means the network can get much larger, much faster.

I hear Adam say something about porting Viral into a QT wallet plug in, did I hear that right?
Actually that was my idea originally. I am working on it in connection with the bounties announced in the slack chat. it's a way of porting the Viral mechanism onto any existing QT wallet, so while staking from a different wallet you can show as an active viral node. Adam had a similar idea but more browser based. We have been discussing my idea as being more practical for an earlier iteration. if anyone has any thoughts or comments they are welcome. Interesting idea. I would propose that you make the plug in architecture QT generic but coin specific, and actually run your metrics through each particular coin. That is, for example, a Doge plug-in that allows any doge user to be a node and collect revenue in Doge. Of course the revenue and metrics go in and out of Viral, but that can be strictly under the hood. Many coins have identifiably different user bases and that would be an attractive segmenting method for advertisers. In addition, one could allow a subnode to recruit a coin community and profit for this effort. For example if I am a Blackcoin dev, i am incentivized to build out and offer the plugin because effectively all Blackcoin users who opt into using the plugin become part of my subnet. And the effort to do this is decentralized, ie not coming from Viral. So expanding the network this way is very frictionless. Fair play. Your idea for instigator / node guru for each coin fits right into the idea of Verified. That is, anyone in the network can build out a subnetwork and profit from it. Seems to me the trick is to make the rules / structure of Verified simple enough / generic enough, almost like a Turing machine - so that all kinds of interesting subnetworks - not just those based on crypto, but even on browsers etc. could function inside the Viral network. If done correctly it could even make the pathways of integration different in different social networks. So that Pinterest sponsored pins could be the lingua franca. And the Viral network itself would be basically invisible inside of Pinterest.

At the risk of being booed out of the room I would like to make a proposal.
We as crowdfunders are receiving some nice perks, especially the private access slack channel, which i expect will have some lively discussion and a good atmosphere.
I see nothing to be gained over the long term by keeping it this way however. We all stand to gain by being inclusive and making Viral a great community for everyone.
I therefor propose that we set some minimum investment level,or staking level, by which those entering this week through the ICO and who are serious about VIRAL be included in this slack channel.
All comments including withering criticism welcome!!

Looking forward to discussing the following topics at the meet-up tonight - I know we might not get to all of them but they are all of interest to me: - What kind of sponsors & contracts are most likely in the first months, and how long before the Viral backend is functional enough to run campaigns
- Why Twitter seems to be the first target market
- An in-depth description of subnodes
- What are the main challenges that need to be met in the first few months
- Some information about how the wallet GUI will function
- Will white label / branded wallets be a possibility for sub-nodes

If the Public Offering sells out quickly the trading will begin earlier. It may be far more profitable for the top 10 to hold their coins in that case. I assume they must agree in advance if they are selling or not. Quite a dilemma for them

It's pretty ridiculous balance will not be updated again prior to end.
This should have been done on an automated website where real time data can be provided so people actually know what they'll end up with rather than taking a huge shot in the dark. But maybe that's what the devs want so only they know?
The number right now is 117.18107382 BTCIt's change a LOT right now. Frankly, I'm sick of updating it and I'm not your fucking slave. You should be an arrogant scammer bitch to say those words. And you are clearly that, speaking to a hero member that way. WTF with hero member status? I dont give a shit. Lot of scammers here have that status. You are a troll. AllYourAcid, for any shady dev running an ICO, it is risk free to buy coins with your own BTC. You get the coins, you get the BTC. Both. So that is what is so silly about all these theories about devs laundering BTC. That add completely unnecessary, complex, and high risk step to something they could do themselves, risk free. This is why these theories strike me as so silly.
As for your casual approach to requiring evidence before accusing people - well, that goes against basic decency. You joining the others in lumping Adam G with other shady devs - without any evidence - is unfortunate and sad. Your accusation that any BTC sent to the devs before crowdfunding end is automatically shady is simply absurd. Allow me to quote from the OP:
"The Bitcoins you send to me will not be released to the developers until I have the 2.5 million VIRAL in hand. "
The escrow states clearly that when BAC had the working wallet and Viral, the BTC was subject to release.
I fail to see anything in BAC's actions that does not follow the guidelines set out in the escrow. If you preferred a different sort of escrow, you could have said so, or invested in something else. But to accuse people of wrongdoing in this situation - when you have no evidence of anything of the sort -simply demeans you, after having demeaned others.

I have refrained from posting in this thread and perhaps I should continue to do so. After all, the more fud that is sprayed out by nomoreheroes, illodin, dasource etc. supposedly the more people will refrain from buying, supposedly bettering my relative share.
However my training in economics gets the best of me when i see things like "Bob Surplus is going to buy 500 coins!" and other such drivel and "buyback" theories being posted.
The original amount of BTC apparently released according to what i saw from the totals in the first (deleted) thread was less than 50 btc. Hardly the sort of money one is going to 'take over' a crowdfunding with. And as an earlier poster pointed out, they could do the exact same thing with their own BTC, at zero risk, if they were thinking this way.
Yet these people come in here - with zero evidence - assert that massive shennanigans are taking place.
My partners and I have taken a satisfactory postion Viral. It suits our current RL network and we believe there is a a lot of potential in such a network, especially one that allows entities approaching DACs to eventually built out on it.
Whether large whales are buying in or not really makes little difference to us. A larger market cap lets Adam G and his team build out the back end of the project faster - and there are other projects with their eye on the prize. So this is a very good thing.
Anyhow, this thread was widely predicted to become a circus of fud as the crowdfunding drew to a close. One would hope that the fudders would take a shot at the actual business model, or the network structure of Viral, or some other relevant topic. But it seems to be just aimed at making large claims without any evidence. Throwing fud at the wall to see what sticks.

Will there be any scheduled updates today as we approach end of crowdsale. with regard to amount vs time remaining, etc?
Hi there BayAreaCoins has indicated there will be no further updating of the totals before the end of the crowdfunding period. There are a large number of addresses requested that are not utilized and it appears he will have his hands full registering new purchases today. It is entirely up to him what if any further information is released before the end of the crowdfunding. thanks ViralDev Ok. If the total is updated, perhaps it would be best if it is updated across all platforms simultaneously. This would be most fair. Clearly there are a lot of people jockeying for postition with their buy ins as the crowdfunding nears the end. It would be unfortunate if such information - if it became available - were not released in a fair way.

I have bought in on behalf of several associates. We will be developing a subnet based on our existing social marketing firms. Is the rule for the meetup just the registered crowdfunders allowed or is there some flexibility on this?
