Truthfully I don't think they care all that much judging by how it's gone so far, they just seem to be behind the scenes working away at the project.  I'm assuming once things are to a certain level of satisfaction then focus will be directed towards marketing.

I can agree that each one of those is a possibility, the problem is trying to figure out which one.  What I can say is that the market in the short term will likely be directed by whatever decision he decides to make.

You're forgetting the whale who moved 1700 btc worth of lisk onto Polo and flashed it for sale for a few minutes a couple of days ago.  I don't recall anyone saying he has moved it off the exchange yet.  Implying it was just some scare tactic.  Why else would you move that much onto an exchange unless you planned on selling it in the near future.  It's crazy to keep that large of an amount on there long term.

I think the bottom could be much farther down if he plans on selling it.

If the whale dumps that amount, it would absolutely wreck the price.  Obviously he couldn't do it at once, there isn't even that much of the order book. I can't really see a reason to even show it unless he wanted to scare people and make the price go lower.  Seems like it's working...

MRW, the thread is mostly filled with people like this guy who are obvious bag holders.  Rambling hype spam that has no effect on any serious investor, but they just keep going at it non stop like it will make a difference.

That probably isn't going to happen because there aren't any huge whales left in DCR to start dumping those kinds of amounts.  They all got out a long time ago when the price was around 600k.  LISK was being traded in large volumes whereas DCR wasn't.  DCR has hit the bottom already at around 250k, the only way for it to go now is upward as the updates keep coming.

Combination of factors probably. Bitcoin price went down and the money made from the eth wars is being pumped into various alts.  Time will tell whether genuine interest in the coin holds, so far that hasn't been the case.

Using the word never is a sure fire way to let other people know that you don't know what you're talking about.  All kinds of crazy things happen in crypto and thinking in absolutes has been proven time and time again to be wrong.  The volatility is the exact reason why people are drawn to it versus other kinds of stable and boring investments.  You can think what you like, but people who have been in the game long know to never say never.

If you truely believe that then you and everyone else should be buying into his wall as it is pretty cheap right now.  Actions speak louder than words.

Actually it can be answered by experienced traders.  The only reason to put up a wall that big on a lower volume coin is if you want to influence the market.  I have to agree with others that the whale is trying to keep the price down so accumulation can happen.  If he/she was really interested in selling that much they would do it in smaller icrements as to not spook the market and sell at a higher price.  Likely the wall will be pulled once the whale has enough and the price will rise.  I believe this is a good sign for Lisk's near term future.

The least you could do is post a simple thank you to the few people who helped and answered your questions.  Time is a precious commodity after all.  But you just skip right over that and go into full blown retard hype mode.  Learn some manners, selfish prick.

Anytime there is high volatility in a high volume coin most of the other coins drop as people sell to get involved.  There is far more money to be made.  Why trade DCR for a 5% gain who knows when, if you can make a 100% gain in a day trading something else like ETC.  It's pretty simple.

If a person doesn't want to get involved in the action, then it's usually a pretty good time to buy alts during these dips.

Click the Paymetheus 32bit link from https://github.com/decred/decred-binaries/releases/tag/v0.2.0 and get the decred_0.2.0-alpha_x86.msi file.
Then just follow the usage steps in the guide.

Basically you just run dcrd first to sync to the network, then run the Paymethus wallet program.  In a future version I'm sure it'll be merged into one program so there is only one thing to click, but it still is in alpha.

What are you talking about?  It's just as user friendly as any other gui wallet.  What more would you want from it?  Send and recieve your coins by reading your brain waves so you don't have to click your mouse and use your keyboard?

There is a Paymetheus 32bit version at https://github.com/decred/decred-binaries/releases/tag/v0.2.0 , but I believe it only works with Windows 7 and higher.

I think I'll wait a month before I decide which direction to go.  Sometimes tells me the price will be wildly in one direction or the other, but certainly not what it is now.

Try to be a little bit more realistic with your hype, everyone can see right through it as empty talk.  Pretty much every coin's thread has people throwing around wild projections. This thread is filled with people saying similar things ever since eth took off months ago and nothing ever happened.  Every time even the slightest rise happens the hypers come out of the woodwork, it's just spam in the end.

If DCR starts building some steam instead of random little pumps here and there, then you can start projecting some hopeful forecasts.  Like "looking good guys, it just might come close the the ATH of 650k if this keeps up."
