461  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon's New Factory! ;D on: June 20, 2013, 11:17:46 AM
You really think Avalon owns that building, all the equipment, and has all those employees on Avalon payroll?  LOL, fuck.

Yes, and I heard you can actually rent places now...
462  Economy / Goods / Collectable - Royal Shield Of Arms - UK Brilliant Unirculated Coin Collection on: June 19, 2013, 10:25:34 AM
I went and picked up a box of crap I had left at friends house while I was living there a few years back and I found these coins. I would like to exchange them for BTC Wink

These are an uncirculated set of our current coins and are of higher quality than the ones we carry around in our pockets. They current go for about £25 on eBay.

My price: 0.3 BTC - free UK postage (more for international).

I can't find much information on these two coins. There is a gold plated 1963 Three Pence Piece (a thruppence!), and a gold plated 1965 One Penny. Both are enameled on one side. I believe they are from the 'Britannia' collection  Huh.

No idea what they are both worth, one sold on eBay for £8...

My price: 0.25 BTC for both / 0.15 each - free UK postage (more for international).

Let me know what you think, escrow can be used if you want.... John K where you at??  Grin Grin Grin

465  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is Avalon mining with customer hardware? Answer is here. on: June 18, 2013, 12:17:54 PM
Genuinely, with all the best and fairest intentions on my part I don't believe that, sorry.

Never have I ever had such a pleasant response from someone on the internet. I was genuinely expecting some flaming from that one.

Hats off to you sir!  Wink
466  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is Avalon mining with customer hardware? Answer is here. on: June 18, 2013, 11:59:08 AM
I myself am not entirely convinced that Avalon have been mining maybe there is a rouge employee that is switching them to pools when 'no one is looking' (after work hours?).

But Avalon stated in one of their first announcements that they use their own custom software to test the chips.... Like all chip manufacturer would have. You do not need to have it mining on the live network to know of they will work.

We still do not know what their 'security issues' were… how do we know they didn't have a load of chips/machines robbed from them? Damn easy and highly profitable crime to commit, especially in China…

467  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: How the hell is Avalon affording to pay for chip production?! on: June 17, 2013, 04:16:55 PM
How did they pay for chips? Simple. mine with your avalons.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=236348.0

That defeats the point of the OP... Being that they still seem to have most of our BTC. He is wondering how they afforded to make the chips/machines without cashi g put their BTC

You could take a photo of your documents even with your phone, I always "scan" papers this way.

Furthermore, there's a free app on android which can make documents and crop them easily from photos. The app is called Camscanner.

I would sell you some BTC, but only if you transfer the funds first...I understand if this is not appealing for you though.

Honestly I would... but I had to sell my iPhone a few weeks back, I'm now rocking a Samsung E2121 (VGA camera). It's useless!

PM me I am happy to send the funds first, as long as we can build up a bit of trust...  Smiley

480  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: I give in! I've put my BFL 60Gh/s pre-order on eBay - $1000 start price. on: June 12, 2013, 06:15:50 AM
Yeah, no chance of you getting to keep that money. Every single bid on pre-orders nowadays are paypal disputed. Only effect is that you get your PP account frozen.

I am happy to refund the money after 90 days - those were my terms. Bring on the PayPal dispute!
