I went and picked up a box of crap I had left at friends house while I was living there a few years back and I found these coins. I would like to exchange them for BTC

These are an uncirculated set of our current coins and are of higher quality than the ones we carry around in our pockets. They current go for about £25 on eBay.

I can't find much information on these two coins. There is a gold plated 1963 Three Pence Piece (a thruppence!), and a gold plated 1965 One Penny. Both are enameled on one side. I believe they are from the 'Britannia' collection  .

No idea what they are both worth, one sold on eBay for £8...

I myself am not entirely convinced that Avalon have been mining maybe there is a rouge employee that is switching them to pools when 'no one is looking' (after work hours?).

But Avalon stated in one of their first announcements that they use their own custom software to test the chips.... Like all chip manufacturer would have. You do not need to have it mining on the live network to know of they will work.

We still do not know what their 'security issues' were… how do we know they didn't have a load of chips/machines robbed from them? Damn easy and highly profitable crime to commit, especially in China…

That defeats the point of the OP... Being that they still seem to have most of our BTC. He is wondering how they afforded to make the chips/machines without cashi g put their BTC

Honestly I would... but I had to sell my iPhone a few weeks back, I'm now rocking a Samsung E2121 (VGA camera). It's useless!
