I don't really know as well, just took it from a post by blastbob: In p2pool / p2pool / networks.py:
change the BOOTSTRAP_ADDRS='188.120.239.144 81.200.245.198 85.234.62.99 81.200.241.54 217.77.220.40'.split(' '), to BOOTSTRAP_ADDRS=''.split(' '),
Change PERSIST=True, to PERSIST=False,
Change P2P_PORT=9777, to something else
In p2pool / p2pool / bitcoin / networks.py
Change ADDRESS_VERSION=8, to ADDRESS_VERSION=25
Removing info in addrs and Persist=False will make your node run solo. Can be a good idea until parameter is 100% No guarantee the above is 100% correct Rest you need help from others

thanks a lot! so if a coin was just created and I am running a solo node (remove BOOTSTRAP_ADDRS and PERSIST=False) anyways, can I just leave in the old hex values of another coin for the time being or do I have to create new values given after a certain rule?

I have read all google and forum results I could find, it appears that nobody ever mentioned how to find a few certain values for the two networks.py files in p2pool:
SUBSIDY_FUNC ADDRESS_VERSION P2P_PREFIX
IDENTIFIER PREFIX
I think I pretty much understand what all the other values do. However those 5 (and especially the hex values) make no sense to me. Do you strip them somewhere from the compiled source when a new coin has arrived?
Cheers!

a tutorial how to adapt a p2pool/pushpool to new coin clones would be much appreciated.

there's only one thing I like about BitBars, and that is the fact that if I had a mining pool it would sport this logo:

you got bribe them
thats how they do it in China
another great usage for cryptos.

actually only allowing buy offers for a while might be a smart way to not instantly slay a coin.

I think it will go to 0.026 - .030 in the next day or so
So said people about bitbar... and feathercoin, yacoin, chinacoin, ppcoin, you name it. History does not substantiate this claim. Bitbar's actually at .3 at the moment lol. lol owned. that's just because there's like 5 bitbars in existence. just the numbers they chose. it's still not worth much.

I tried to warn you bro. But just woke up to this: A reply of yours, quoted below, was deleted by the starter of a self-moderated topic. Quote the search function returns a tad too many results for "penetration scammer" ?
Sadly I cannot send PMs if I don't know who will take the offers.

just sold him 5 DOTA2 keys for 10 WDC - he tipped me 5 more WDC! sexy trader beast.

I can tell you why.
Because generating a genesis block with a reasonable difficulty is damn near impossible. This is because the genesis block is created using an awful tool that only does, at best, 1 hash per second. There's a genesis block creation tool for SHA256 based coins that remedies this problem. But it doesn't work for scrypt based coins.
Ok, then please learn from nibble and scale it much steeper. The latency lords could still rake in tons of nibbles. 1080 - Difficulty up until here is 0.00024414. Block reward of 2.
2160 - Difficulty up until here is 0.000061035. Block reward of 1.
3240 - Difficulty up until here is 0.00024414. Block reward of 2.
4320 - Difficulty up until here is 0.00097656. Block reward of 5.
5400 - Difficulty up until here is 0.00390624. Block reward of 8
6480 - Difficulty up until here is 0.01562496. Block reward of 11.
7560 - Difficulty up until here is 0.06249984. Block reward of 14
8640 - Difficulty up until here is 0.24999936. Block reward of 17.
we still know that all of these coins will end up in 2-3 different pockets. and they are still a fuckton of coins. make it scale 0.1 0.5 1 1.5 2 2.5 5 10 20 or something.

yes. please, please, please not the next orphanville in a row. scaled block rewards are nice, but no must have. a higher starting difficulty however is mandatory.

I like skull88's best, I think if you could VERY faintly add computer chip textures at the bottom-edges to also deal with the "bit" part it would be perfect. Sadly I cannot do stuff like that myself. I mean to add it around these parts: Like little veins (color: just a bit darker yellow/brownish) climbing up and then fading/stopping.
