461  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: March 11, 2014, 07:22:36 AM
You're the clear example of someone not an evil nor thief who screwed up all those who trusted in you if you end up changing the terms to the ones you showed, regardless of those who want to sue or beat you with an ugly stick.

Because i don't need to read 1 single page of any law in any country, if you can do contracts as you claim for 100 mh each, and triple them just because it suits you to comply laws, nothing stops you to add more contracts or double/triple/whatever you want and assign them to the contract owners in case of adding new hardware to keep the reward balanced. You dont change the speed, you dont change the reward yourself, the network does on what returns from those 100mh. you can just create 1 trillion contracts unasigned to give to everyone, if you need more, just do the same you did to triple them and create 200 trillions more.

You want another stupid idea, make our contracts for max 1 TH per, and make a very conservative plan that takes ages to complete to get to enough th to give us all the 59k contracts 1 th/each and note that you will pay us in full 1/59000 part of whats mined, that will buy you years, they cant forbide you to plan ahead, they cant prohibit growing, and we allow you to pay accordingly and manage the funds to achieve your goal of 1 teracrap.

Want another? we do 25 th now at 59000 contracts? create another 25th mine with 59000 contracts? or what stops you to make another for 50th and 59000?

More? 25 th at 59000 contracts, when the 50th from BFL arrive, triple again the available contracts, it will be the same crap, 75th for 177k contracts, thats exactly what you did now.

Seriously, that's a lot of solutions, you just took the easy and less problematic and the most expensive for all, someday you gotta admit you're doing things wrong, several, regardless on how cute, nice, decent or even clean, we make mistakes, you did and we pay.

+1

You are both jumping the gun here... and although I am as unhappy as all with the knowledge we have right this second... please refrain from spewing that nearly incomprehensible garbage above until we have all the facts.

Zach can't tell you what the end solution is because legally he MUST NOT until his lawyers have put to rest any chance that THIS pending change might still violate the law.

Hindsight may be 20/20... but assuring that the future of LRM is not spoiled completely by Uncle Sam fining the shit out of the operation because of some obscure wording in a law never meant to be used on a form of ANYTHING like crypto takes time and money... and as it has been said before... this is the BLEEDING edge... things like this must be found and handled as they come up... no one has set a 100% fool proof precedent in such an undertaking so no one should expect this to be a 100% problem free operation.

Shit happens... let it get dealt with. If it does not and folds... you still have the same recourse as you do right now.

Right, I read up on Takai - coin...geesh! Quite the fiasco! Anyway, not interested in charities just yet....
I'm only interested in mining the TOP coins. TAK coin is way down in the middle somewhere at coinwarts  Roll Eyes and, it's a SHA coin on top of that. I'm only mining Scrypt. That is, until SHA becomes more profitable per hash than Scrypt, if it ever does.

TAK coin, kind of TAK-ee sounding anyway, if you ask me ;/

Wolfey2014

Yeah it is a SHA coin... and as far as coinwarz goes... TAK spends half the day on again off again at the top of the chart then somewhere in the middle...

Price right now is rock bottom after the problem so I see nothing but profit in the near future when the new team finishes their rebranding... so mining at current average profitability is just a fraction of what I should be able to turn when it settles again.

Already back up above 60TH/s global on TAK.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TAKCOIN - SHA256 - Kimoto Gravity Well - Media Machine on: March 10, 2014, 11:16:49 PM
REQUIRED NEW WALLET DOWNLOAD - KIMOTO GRAVITY WELL http://takticker.com/
The -datadir option still doesn't work for me, damn!

Others confirmed it is working for them... even if other wallets have this working for you on the machine... I would say this appears to be something local to you. What ACTUALLY happens when you try this... what is the response/output you receive?
The latest (v0.9.1.2) wallet path: D:\wallet\takeicoin-qt.exe

The shortcut: D:\wallet\takeicoin-qt.exe -datadir=D:\wallet\data

Gives no message/warning whatsoever and still it saves in the default (%APPDATA%/TakeiCoin) folder..

Since I do not know what you have done already... have you created the D:\wallet\data folder beforehand and have you made sure what the folder privileges are? Not sure if maybe you are expecting it to create the folder for you and maybe the application has a trust issue so the drive will not allow the folder to be created so it defaults, or if you did make the folder and it does not like something about how its privileges are set so it can't use it and again defaults.

Testing myself right now with the new wallet.

Edit: did all this myself and have the same results as you... QT refuses to use the directory you point it to with the -datadir flag both in a shortcut and from a command prompt.
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The Official LighteningAsic/GridSeed 5 Chip Setup Guide by UnicornHasher on: March 10, 2014, 10:55:15 PM
I only run a single gridseed, and it is not mining BTC... it is pointed to the TAK pool at minebig along with my other ASIC. Just a personal choice as I have been making damn good profit off it even with the trouble it is having right now. Scryptguild is where I am pointed now as well.

I am less concerned with making profit off this little guy, as I bought it with $1 worth of electricity via my profits from TAK on day 4. My ASIC currently costs ~$.5 a day to run... I sold 4 days worth of TAK starting from launch for a whole BTC and then used that to buy my gridseed shipped overnight and a PSU block for less than half a BTC... therefore... it cost me less than $1 in all reality.

Sorry, you lost me.
*How much are you making per day mining at minebig? What is the URL?

Dunno because I do not look at it in the way you do... I am mining for future sale at much better prices... I have a 34 GH/s ASIC and the 6 GH/s from the gridseed pointed at the tak.minebig.com pool.

Quote
*What is TAK? Is it a website? Can you provide a link to this?

Takeicoin but it is now being rebranded by a charity group into TakeActioncoin. It has had a rough ride the last few days but the arbitrage is continuing to fill my BTC coffers.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=452902.0;topicseen

Quote
*You state that your pointed at ScryptGuild.
Are you pointing all of your miners there now or half and half or what?
I'm using ScryptGuild right now too. I'm still testing to see if they can actually back up their claim of providing me with 30 to 40% more profit per day than just mining straight LTC at LiteCoinPool.org

I only have the scrypt core of my single gridseed pointed at scryptguild... I do not care to speculate that they can make you 30-40% more than LTC mining because that is a broad statement you can make mining ANY scrypt coin from the top of the coinwarz chart.

Quote
*How exactly did you work it out to buy a GS3355 for $1, exactly?
Thanks
Wolfey2014

Simply that I mined Takeicoin from launch and after 4 days sold my entire stash for 1 BTC then turned around and bought the gridseed from Zoomhash. On my 34 GH/s ASIC that is about $2 in electric costs, which is my only overhead as this miner has paid itself off repeatedly already due to good mining choices. I took half of that BTC and used it to pay for this gridseed. So from an absolute cost standpoint... I came out of pocket ~$1 for the gridseed.

I have sort of the same question:
is there a consensus on what's best hashwise: raspberry / windows PC / wiiboard?
Another question:
Is anyone dualmining these, or strictly scryptmining?

Consensus is whatever you have available that does not require more cost to use as a mining platform is best... if you have the controller... use it... if you have a Rpi... seems like a great way to go... if you have a PC then take the OS that best fits your needs... Windows if you have little Linux experience and less than 10 devices total (you can do more but the batch files and COM ports start to be hectic) or Linux if you have the experience and want to use dozens of devices without a ton of extra work scripting batch files.

I am dual mining on Win 7 64 and have had zero issues thus far... 6+ GH/s steady and 300+ KH/s (gotta use the cpuminer to dual mine so I do not have a reliable hashrate other than the pool).

how many gridseeks do you have -  6GH on a few can only be generating pennys a day at the most.... right?

Yeah, I'm curious about that too. I mean, if my 5 GS3355 5 chip miners can generate even $5/day mining btc, I might go that way bur right now they are making between $7 and $12 / day mining Scrypt only...

if the bond value in hashrate will no longer increase as LRM increases, then these bonds are dead.

Exactly, I deliberately did NOT buy into any mining concern with a fixed hashrate and no reinvestment and growth plan.

...and exactly the reason why I invested in LRM, sadly.
same  Cry

None of this is an issue if we are all going to be issued more bonds as hardware comes online...

The only reason we do not have confirmation that this IS INDEED the way LRM is moving forward is that it would be premature of Zach to make such an announcement without leagl standing and documentation to do so...

Crypto may be the land of instant gratification... the real world still operates 9-5 M-F.

Everything has been going great. Clocked the units to 900 and now my pool is showing a lot different speed than cgminer.

Pool is only showing 5.2 MH/s. I guess just put them back to 850?

man you got a crap ton of hardware errors.... I have like 2 or 3 errors in the past 3 days on my RPi running 20 units

Danny

Same clock? I'm in a similar situation and kinda wonder what to do or if I should blame cgminer. Lol

Not cgminer... its the ASIC itself... not hardware wise either... i believe it to be firmware related. I get the same thing at 900... high hashrate locally... shit at the pool... you can watch share speed to see it is WAY slower to find shares compared to 850... that is not a hardware issue at all... that is flimsy firmware that needs to be updated.

Just to give it a try one more time since a couple people did say they liked my suggestion...

Take Initiative Coin - TakeICoin

It fits the name, is close to the annunciation currently and fits your purpose...

Oh... and has WEAK ASS google results to contend with https://www.google.com/search?q=take+initiative&oq=take+initiative&aqs=chrome.0.69i59j0l5.3316j0j8&sourceid=chrome&espv=210&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8

So... in the spirit of the coin and concept itself... I went and snatched up these related domains to keep them out of the hands of some people who would prefer to profit from them. Cost me just under $19 for all 4 for 1 year. I will gladly turn over the unique registrar account and unique email address attached at cost if you should so choose to go with that idea.

I really appreciate you doing that! Unfortunately as part of the agreement we need to change the name from Takeicoin - we can't even do a play on the word Takei in anyway (like Take Initiative). This is why we are looking to change the name.

And I will remember you doing that favor for us - once the project is fully launched we will reimburse you $19 for your help =)

Just keep it in mind... I suppose it does not have to be called TakeICoin but can still BE Take Initiative Coin... if anything, since you are having to communicate with the previously hoped for backers... at least ask them what they think about this concept... the answer is always no if you do not ask.

Just noticing some rounding discrepancies so wanted to ask how that is being handled... what are the rules for rounding dividend payments?

There are issues with a percentage being considered shares and a contract being considered a sale.  I will attempt to clarify more over the course of next week when I have more legal documentation to explain.

Also, I've done the math and liquidating the company's assets will turn out worse for the contract-holders as well as myself (rather than paying out "dividends").
Hardware just doesn't sell for what it did in may 2013......

Then your attorney is at fault... and I, like some others, would implore you to reach out for a second opinion on any move you next make to right this for us all.

Was that supposed to answer something? I know the coin will go on. I'm asking if the project was handed over or not. It was mentioned that the coin may have new devs. Did that happen or is the original dev still behind the coin

We're working on giving ownership of the coin to a large web development company to take over. That said we WILL remain on as part of the new leadership team. Once we have more information, which we are told will be Monday, I will let everyone know what's going on.
475  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: March 09, 2014, 12:42:47 AM
Let me ask.

Is there any over reaction of emotions going on on my part or others?

Is this the end of LRM? So far, it seems that the only change is that LRM will have to issue out more bonds for every 100MH improvement in total hash rate. Again, that would still be a clumsy solution, imo.

Talk to me goose... or geese.

Truth is we just do not have enough facts for all the hype being spewed right now.

When Zach defines the issues legally, and then clarifies what the future hashrate to be added does for us... THEN we will have final pieces that allow for proper dissection of how fucked we all are.
476  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: March 08, 2014, 08:51:05 PM
Seems to me the split is the correct move... it indeed matches our CURRENT investment rate to what is actually hashing.

Moving forward, there should be NO MORE BONDS SOLD FROM LRM TO ANY ENTITY PERIOD! Total bonds available from LRM should be capped to represent MINIMUM total hashrate yet to be delivered, and as those pieces of hardware are put online, current holders should benefit from ANOTHER split to increase their total 100 MH/s bonds to match total hashrate.

Basically... Zach cannot legally allow our bond hashrate to increase due to the contract per the legality he will divulge soon. I do not know exactly why that is but his lawyer will be able to explain it.

Legally, since it was our funds that pre-ordered the due equipment, LRM is obligated to put those resources to work for each of us, and the only way to bring those new resources into our hands (divs) would be to allocate the "pending" 100 MH/s bonds to our ownership as the equipment is put online.

Do I have that correct Lab_Rat?
477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TAKEICOIN - SHA256 - Kimoto Gravity Well - Media Machine on: March 08, 2014, 01:36:49 AM
For anyone who cares...

I am very serious about taking on this project. Because we are serious about this, we are not moving quickly on any decisions. We are however going to explore the idea of buying this coin's "rights" if you will (website, social accounts, hire dev team). If we do take over this coin - its going to be a full fledged project.

We are not just going to take over this coin to pump the price back up to a certain amount. Truth be told, I don't even hold 1 btc worth of the coin (at the moment).

Also, being that is Friday - not much will probably happen over the weekend. I have 1 contact I'm going to talk to tomorrow about this, I have 1 contact in China I need to get in touch with and we have investor's money we need to get approval to move forward with.

But as I've said a few times now, we are serious about taking this coin forward.

To follow-up once again with our idea. We have been looking to create a coin for sometime now that would be used mainly for the purpose of donating money. We have been collecting some private funding to afford developing a coin, getting a website up and running, getting the project some PR & advertising - and from there the whole propose of the project is to raise awareness of a variety of charities around the globe as well as the awareness and use of crypto currencies.

The idea would be, once we have a website in place - non-profit organizations and e-mail in, tell us their story and what $5k would do for them. We will then donated $5k every month to one of the charities in the name of the coin and promote this on our website. We will keep an on-going tally of how much the coin has raised/donated. From that point on - we can also use the coin for future fundraising purposes. We have talked about doing a program too where say a small group wants to privately raise money for an awareness - we can set up a matching program as well.

The name of the coin is actually great for our propose because it doesn't really mean anything. Takeicoin can really mean whatever we want it to. Which is why we are interested in moving forward with this project.

Project: Take Initiative - TakeIcoin

"It astounds me that someone with 4 posts and 2 activity even has room to speak here... if you have a REAL account... don't be such a wimp using a shill account..."

LOL...it's the only account I have...I just usually read these forums and don't post...look at when the account was created...2 months ago.

I'm just shocked at how blatant this scam was...I didn't see it coming either, so I"m in the same boat as the rest of you.

Your 60 days of experience is showing... even with the price right now of around 100 satoshis... the amount I mined since launch (in BTC value) is still greater than the amount of BTC I would have earned in the equivalent time mining it directly. No one paid the dev, no funds were solicited, and nobody was asked to come out of pocket for such and such thing... so where is the scam? You can try to call the branding itself a scam if you please... but it is more apparent that the current situation is plain bad timing of moving forward with a name without permission to use it.

Given I personally sold TAK to Sage @ 1 BTC for 40K and witnessed so many other do the same, tells me he is not scamming anyone on his claim of losses... no one was asked to participate financially... everyone involved did so on their own.

Guys....get over it....he scammed you!!!!

1) He told you all this great news was coming
2) He told you we couldn't go to Cryptsy until George Takei gave consent
3) Yesterday, he told you to vote to get on Cryptsy (against point #2)
4) Today he dumped the coin for all he had

It may not have started out as a scam...but it sure ended that way.....

It astounds me that someone with 4 posts and 2 activity even has room to speak here... if you have a REAL account... don't be such a wimp using a shill account...

If this was a pump and dump it surely was the worst one in history because I lost about $40,000

More reason NOT to let this go to waste... you made a good coin and started a valid community... fix the superficial issues and push forward...
