4601  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Btc accelerator sites on: April 15, 2023, 06:54:14 AM
To add to the previous 2 posts: there's a scenario I can think of in which you can't do CPFP or RBF: if you received a transaction from a third party on an exchange. But that's something you shouldn't really do in the first place.
4602  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: 0.1 BTC for python help! on: April 14, 2023, 07:00:18 PM
Those who think I was dumb making 1 billion keys are also wrong. 1 billion is what is left in USB Drive, however originally they were 1trillion.
That's 66 TB. Must be a nice USB disk Roll Eyes

I am still working on this thing by putting another BTC and moving forward with my research.
Lol. That's literally the best way to describe what you're doing.

I am simply a victim of untoward incident like a flood, a tornado, or lightening or house on fire or robbery etc we have little to no control over it.
It's more like you threw your money in the fire place yourself. All of this could have been prevented if you didn't try to invent your own private key creation, but it looks like you haven't learned from it. I suggest this title for your next topic: "I lost 1 BTC again".
4603  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] bitcoindata.science on: April 14, 2023, 06:51:30 PM
I tried the Bitcoin Address Balance Checker feature and I think there is one little thing missing. It would be nice if it was possible to clear the address form
This is something you can easily do inside the browser: CTRL-A > Delete. Am I missing something?
4604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Full Node Block Hash value on: April 14, 2023, 05:50:07 PM
it took roughly 30mins to hash the 440GB
Why are you doing this? I don't see the point.

Quote
a few years ago i had a full node and it was alot more than 440GB of blocks.
You must have it confused with something else. And my blocks directory is 502 GB now, 440 GB isn't enough.
4605  Economy / Collectibles / Re: My Cold Keys Just Got Swiped! All Cold Kuntz!! on: April 14, 2023, 11:09:26 AM
I was chatting with a lawyer in the EU who's familiar with this situation.  His words "Unfortunately I'm 99% sure that taking legal action is completely useless. The "damage" is relatively small and mostly for people outside of France, so this will definitely not be considered a priority.  And obviously the fact that it concerns crypto makes it even more complex.  There is no real legal framework, no customer protection legislation.  Also how in the earth is someone going to explain the concept of physical crypto to a French civil servant".
If what you are saying is true...then its a damn shame that this thief is gonna get away with all of the BTC he has stolen and premiums destroyed! Not counting also that he has stained our hobby for years to come as well.
~
Would this fall under a cyber crime?
Once in a while, someone here (in the Netherlands) gets arrested for online scamming. Usually it's something like selling iPhones without delivering them. And by the time they get arrested they've made many hundreds of victims, even though they (often) use traceable bank accounts. Unfortunately, this really isn't a priority. I guess it's the same in France.
4606  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: 0.1 BTC for python help! on: April 14, 2023, 10:43:16 AM
if OP shares the address and signs a message from the address that funded it, there's no longer a reason to doubt his story.
If OP could sign message from that address he wouldn't have been here since signing a message requires having the private key Tongue
Read it again Wink

Quote
Although if you want to not-doubt his story OP could share the public key + address. Considering that hashes inside addresses are not reversible to get the public key, the chances of it being a fake story diminishes significantly.
That will work too, but I guess OP doesn't want to share the public key. Sharing the address reveals less.

Quote
Although if you want the "reward" none of the above would help, you'd need to use an escrow Wink
I usually take rewards from Newbies with a grain of salt. Sometimes it's real, sometimes it isn't.
4607  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] 🔥COINSLOTTY🔥 Signature Design Competition – Rewards Up To $175🔥 on: April 14, 2023, 10:33:52 AM
HOW DOES THE COMPETITION WORK:
•   On Wednesday, the 19th of April, I will pick out up to 5 applications that stood out the most. Each of the applicants will get $75 to their wallet, together with a design package that will contain the latest design assets for Coinslotty, together with the USP’s. You’ll get to keep the $75 regardless if you win or not.
•   After the 5 applicants deliver their take on a set of signatures (full, sr.mem, hero/leg) and avatars, latest on the 26th of April, an internal vote will be carried out, and the winner of the competition will get an additional $100 to their account.
I like it, it's something else than the usual "only the winner gets paid".

After that, starting from May, your work will be displayed on profiles of several high-ranking members of the forum, including LoyceV, Efialtis, Cryptofrka, Trofo, Dkbit98 and more, and on top of that, your profile and marketplace thread will be promoted in all our forum threads, as well as our upcoming Community page directly on our site.

4608  Economy / Reputation / Re: Jr BM asking for 300 positive comment in his service thread via bounty campaign. on: April 14, 2023, 10:06:02 AM
For me it's strange, how someone can think that buying such fake reviews can be good idea. Especially when these reviews looks so fake and don't bring any credibility to manager. It actually just damage his reputation.
He has no reputation, so there's nothing to damage Wink People have been buying fake reviews everywhere, and indeed, it's usually very obvious when there's a large number of positive reviews in a short period of time, and nothing afterwards. Let's put is this way: people doing this aren't the brightest.

So, to summarize: Jr BM now has 6 Posts, 6 Activity, 0 Merit, and 6 neutral tags from DT Cheesy That took skill Tongue
4609  Other / Meta / Re: [TELEGRAM] Yet Another BitcoinTalk Notification BOT (merits, mentions, topics,+) on: April 14, 2023, 09:48:34 AM
Feature request: can you publish who's using your bot for being mentioned? Maybe this should be optional for privacy reasons.
It comes in handy sometimes to know who can be reached by mentioning their name.
4610  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: 0.1 BTC for python help! on: April 14, 2023, 09:37:59 AM
And is it only me finding this suspicious? I wonder where is the address containing 1 btc? Because it has no out going tx, we can't find it's public key and steal the coin if that's what OP is afraid of. So where is the address in question?
The address is irrelevant, although if OP shares the address and signs a message from the address that funded it, there's no longer a reason to doubt his story.

maybe not suspicious but i find it strange why someone would need to generate 1 billion private keys if they are only going to use one of them. doesn't make any sense.
If it's true, OP made a very dumb mistake (but I'm sure he knows that already). Don't try to reinvent how to create private keys, it will increase the risk of losing your funds.

@Unplugged Taste: I get that you don't want to share the range, but can you at least share how large the range is? That should give a decent idea whether or not it's doable to reproduce one of the addresses.
4611  Other / Archival / Re: [banned mixer] - service for anonymization of crypto transactions | Bitcoin mixer on: April 13, 2023, 06:24:39 PM
A unique order number key instead of a letter of guarantee.
You do know the purpose of a Letter of Guarantee, right? It's so the user has hard evidence in case you don't deliver. A "unique number" proves nothing. I can think of only one reason for not providing one: it helps cover up a potential scam. If you have good intentions, why risk people thinking this way?

Quote
You don't need to download anything, just copy it and save it
You can do that with a Letter of Guarantee too Wink
4612  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: #2 [Hot] Sell your hash power to me on: April 13, 2023, 10:13:11 AM
Interesting offer! (I'm not a miner) I got curious and checked SoloChance.com:
looking for up to 0.26 EH/s (I accept all level of miners even if you have only 33 TH/s I will buy it from you)

Duration 1 Year
0.26 EH/s would give you an average of 9 days to find a block. With 72 TH/s, it takes an estimated 91 years. I get that you gamble a bit on a small chance to find a block, but 1 year duration to find ~40 blocks (a couple hundred Bitcoin) is a different level.
4613  Other / Archival / Re: [banned mixer] - Premium Bitcoin Mixer | Launched in 2018 🛡️ on: April 13, 2023, 09:47:24 AM
No Cloudflare
So, what happened to this? I can't even load your clearnet website in Tor browser, because of "Performance & security by Cloudflare"... I've been looking at various rotating circles for about 10 minutes now. Once in a while Cloudflare shows it's (tracking) captcha, but it never completes.
You can't provide privacy while using Cloudflare.
4614  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Coinplay CONFISCATING 291mbtc of fair NBA winnings on: April 13, 2023, 09:13:40 AM
Coinplay now claiming it was "arbitrage betting" is in my eyes yet another excuse.
I've seen that argument used quite a few times by different casinos. I searched a bit, and the general opinion "on Google" seems to be that arbitrage betting is legal, although bookmakers don't like it. In my opinion, it should just be allowed. If it's possible to gain an edge by certain bets, the odds should have been different. Don't blame the player for that.
4615  Economy / Reputation / Re: Jr BM asking for 300 positive comment in his service thread via bounty campaign. on: April 13, 2023, 08:25:26 AM
Can't that be dealt through reporting?
I think so: it's not allowed to give an incentive to post. Although there have been exceptions in the form of review campaigns, in this case it's just spam. And since it's paid in altcoins, it's a giveaway that's not allowed. I've reported both topics.

He also says the campaign is escrowed, by his own team. Lol.

I do. Specifically, for this test.
Lol. That doesn't explain why it's online. But I found it again: I use LoyceBot2 for my weekly Trust and Merit updates.
4618  Other / Meta / Re: Making new messages more obvious (SMF patch) on: April 12, 2023, 08:45:10 AM
Maybe I didn't explain that well but it's what I mean:

2 is the number of messages, sometimes that (2) gets changed with text: New notification, then comes (2) again.
Isn't that just the title of the page? So in this case it would be "[1] Making new messages more obvious (SMF patch)"?

My eyes always catch them.
That's actually one of the reasons I got rid of Facebook. It's never an important message, but always something designed to keep you longer on their website.
4619  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Whirlwind.money | ⚡No Fee⚡ | Ultimate Privacy | Bitcoin Mixer on: April 12, 2023, 08:02:06 AM
3.Mixing codes?
It's been repeatedly stated by multiple competitors that mixing codes can't link your transactions and they don't involve storing any logs. How does that work? Is it possible to mark certain coins so they are not later sent to the same depositor, without knowing exactly which coins those are? I don't think so but you could easily prove me wrong if that's not the case.
That question has never really been answered. The first time I've seen it, was July 2, 2017. They (the biggest mixer at that time) didn't answer the question, but closed shop 3 weeks later.
