don't write Bitcoin off just yet!

I've already started to move my vast wealth over to effeminate moustaches and goose-boots. What did I miss?

You missed the weekend pump!  Here's a recap:

WEEKEND PUMP incoming!!!
4623  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: What's the meaning of AMU 0: Share above target? on: October 05, 2018, 09:07:34 PM
Hi guys,
Please tell me the meaning of AMU 0: Share above target
I get that message quite a lot in cgminer. Image attached.

Thanks.

https://imageshack.com/a/img923/4360/rp8Kn3.png

I believe that means that you are submitting shares that are below the minimum threshold.  Does it eventually show "offline"?

Yes.. the slushpool dashboard eventually shows worker as offline.

So you should use the correct version of cgminer, as sidehack said.  If you aren't submitting at the minimum requirement with slush's pool, it will go offline.  I think that's 10gh/s - not verified though - so you should be good with one stick running at 100 MHz.

Same price. Same price. Same price. Same price. Same price. Same price. Same price. Same price.

 I know!
...and yet some people consider stagnation a successful trait.

help them find a cure for white-nose syndrome.  Let's hope it worked; it's time to call in a favour Wink

I repeatedly misread the link as "white noise". Figured out the poor bats, navigation blinded by noise, would go banging their miserable heads on walls and things.

Wall watching takes on a whole new twist in that context.
Cheesy

You're all a bunch of assholes, this thread sucks, and bitcoin is probably dead.

That would be the 314th time it has died Wink

I can’t see ANY ETF getting approved for at least a couple of years. Getting annoyed with seeing $6,xxx.
Really feels 2015 rolling along $200-$300.

When is this market going to move, man?

I was promised Lambo’s, hookers & cocaine Wink

It's been hookers and cok....wait.

Edit:

How serendipitous that I took a screenshot (kind of) before you edited your post.  It's Sleeman Clear 2.0 (which I had planned on saying was much better than Coors Light) and tuica (which I smuggled home in plastic coke bottles stashed in my luggage) for me tonight.  Shit.... to many brackets - lost my train of thought.   Oh yeah, my wife would kill me if I drank Coors Light no that's wrong...did hookers and coke.

 my fingertips are numb.

Three months?  That's depressing 😟
Better than rabies I guess!
4630  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: 0.01 BTC - Faucets? on: October 04, 2018, 06:08:30 PM
1: Is there "possible" way that actually you can earn 0.01 BTC which is 1 million satoshi, like in day? 3,4 days? 1,2 weeks?
2: Can you give me a faucets to claim and can you tell me how often to claim so i can earn 0.01 BTC like in 3,4 days or 1,2 weeks?

? Thank you anyway BTC

1: You can get a job and convert your fiat currency to Bitcoin - 0.01 BTC in a day is doable even if you have no skill whatsoever.
 2: No.  Nobody can.

The fuck is this a movie about wine?

Nearly... I see a lot of whine

Spike your morning coffee with a bit of doom.

SWARMS OF SUPERSIZE MOSQUITOES BESIEGE NORTH CAROLINA

Never be disappointed.

Well that's just great! Bitcoin is still going side-wise, my not-even-3-year-old furnace packed it in last night and now I'm going to be besieged by gargantuan mosquitoes!  Have I been cursed?!
Fortunately I made a donation to "Bat Conservation International" a couple of years ago in the hope that it would help them find a cure for white-nose syndrome.  Let's hope it worked; it's time to call in a favour Wink

edit: Dammit!  I've been duped!  That's a fruit bat.  Brown bats are fuglier than sin so they tricked me with a cuter cousin to get me to donate.  Oh well, I still need the favour Wink

Ok. It's official.

I'm drying myself off for a bit.

With any luck, I shed 5 lbs of bloat in the next 7 days.

... and more importantly, Bitcorn heads towards $7k USD.

Sheeeit  Undecided

Then it's better for all involved Wink
4635  Other / Off-topic / Re: SUV with a capacious trunk on: October 03, 2018, 04:33:47 PM
Dude.  Get a bike rack and save your interior from grease, mud and grass...

That's a pretty cool setup. Is it yours?

No I just found an image to use as an example.  I don't have a rear mounted bike rack but I have Thule locking crossbars on top of mine and a rooftop cargo box as well - it gives my subcompact SUV twice the cargo space which is great for longer trips and I can still put bikes or skis on top too.

Do people like these sentiment updates or are they dumb?

I like these sentiment updates, we need these rare on-topic posts Smiley

We already have a sentiment indicator:  Rosewater Foundation
He's more colourful, more accurate and much easier to read.

they certainly wouldn't appreciate you getting your dong out in a European restaurant.  Cheesy

You beat me to it.   I am not sure it works too far way from our little part of the world, but you brightened my day.

The Botswana pula has a similar effect but an even tinier audience; it's only funny to Romanians.
4639  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Free Electricity - Need Advice on: October 03, 2018, 03:22:37 AM
Would you steal your landlord's wallet from him?!  You're essentially stealing from your him to enrich yourself by using extra electricity to mine cryptocurrency and electricity isn't free; someone must pay for it.
You wont even enrich yourself because you have to pay for the miner and a PSU so you're stealing from the landlord to enrich someone else!  Don't do it.  It's not smart.

0-conf croissant purchase in Brisbane? Yes, please.

How do you like Brisbane? I am going there in a few months. Looks like a great city.

I found this pic on Reddit, as I know Australia's big cities are fine, though.

Glad to find this out; I was wondering what kind of fool person would spend $15 on a croissant.  Nice to know it didn't happen.
