4621  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 01, 2023, 03:16:31 PM
soon the match between aston villa vs tottenham will start and from the 5 meetings that have occurred tottenham has won more often than aston villa, the line-up is out and harry kane and son are the starters, it looks like tottenham will win by a narrow score today.

As the home team Tottenham has the potential to win the match, especially since Manchester United moved them from 4th place yesterday
Another good news is that Newcastle played a draw, meaning that Tottenham can also get closer to Newcastle by only 1 point difference if Tottenham win today
Anyway, the competition for the top 3-4 will be very interesting to wait for especially if Liverpool also competes there, of course it will be even more interesting.
Nice match analysis, but I see things differently in this match. Tottenham would not have it easy today, they should even be careful of Aston Villa not to giving them the shock winning of their lifetime. This match has not been a thrilling match for me, so I believe anyone could win the match despite Tottenham being higher with points on the table. The 50th minute has already passed with the two of them still playing 0-0, yet Aston Villa is doing well in the game.
4622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers that don't understand basic gambling concepts. on: January 01, 2023, 11:24:10 AM
Do you have the same perception as me?
Yes, I do. I didn't know that some people like you are thinking in the same direction as I do, and I'd challenged many people on this forum and even offline to furnish me with a winning strategy/system of gambling. Instead of providing a constructive one, they would only be blabbering, which solves nothing. Nothing works for gambling except luck, and luck cannot be relied upon.

Even the martingale that many would be making reference to is not a system/strategy to me but a way of trying to outsmart betting through calculations.
4623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: January 01, 2023, 11:00:25 AM
Unless Trump commands 500 to 1 odds like he did originally I think this ship has sailed.  Not especially worth betting at this early stage, unless you got some god like insight similar to the genius required on the last unbelievable run-up.
Im inspired to quote Mark Twain, “The past does not repeat itself, but it rhymes.”    So maybe the fellow from Florida pulls off an unlikely win but I dont think Trump makes the ticket really and definitely not feeling a win this time.  Last time people did warn he had surprising consensus support which could easily be enough and it was.
Trump is still a major opposition voice in the US, perhaps the most powerful voice among the Republicans. He has so many supporters and will give Biden another headache, particularly because Biden was not strict enough with some foreign policies and actions, which makes him lose supporters daily. And as much as I don't like Trump due to his insincerity, authoritarian tendency, racist pretence and many more, I still believe that the USA might need someone like him at a time that Russia and China are playing politics that could be dangerous to the whole world.
4624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cashless Gambling, your thought? on: December 31, 2022, 12:50:10 PM
No matter what we say government always find a way to make gamblers pay tax. It is faster than havinf cash to gamble compared to cashless gambling since you only need to deposit using bank and withdrawal is the same. They also want to track people who are gambling. I don't have to explain more of it because what I see is that government want to gain benefits from gamblers. It could be bad for casinos I think since gamblers also pay tax which will make people stop gambling. All money that gamblers are willing to risk won't be lose in gambling alone but also in tax. If that happen in my country then I would stop gambling.
First, it's the duty of the government to oversight everything in their domain and continues to help in building a sain community. I don't know why so many people on BTT are scared of this or so particular about it as 'off' in the name of privacy. Mind you, too much privacy would cause more harm than good to society.

That said, you are also overbearing about this tax of a thing. Which government would tax you because you want to gamble? A reasonable government can only tax you for your winnings, and this varies in countries as some countries' citizens pay a very low winning tax. While the government earns the rest from the gambling company.
4625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling For Fun - What Does This Mean To You? on: December 31, 2022, 09:07:47 AM
some gamblers think gambling is a job to multiply money. something is wrong. they don't enjoy gambling games with the ambition of winning for sure.

for me, getting a win is a bonus. especially when playing slots. we play to our satisfaction. although we have to pay with money. make a bet, it is also part of our luck. if you get a win, it means luck, if you lose, then we're just unlucky.
if we are not strong financially, in the sense that our primary needs have been met. never to gamble.
I'm with the disposition that no one should wisely take gambling as a professional, but this doesn't stop the fact that some people do, and it works for them. I know of a few people that have no job but are gambling daily, some of them would even dress corporately to the gambling house every morning and close at night there. So irresponsible, right? But it works for them. This is what they use to feed themselves and their family and pay the bills. Yet, we must be reasonable, no one should expect a guaranteed income from gambling, and we should know the reason why we gamble and we should gamble responsibly.

The more you are becoming desperate to gamble, the better you retrace your steps.

4627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A Fools Gold on: December 30, 2022, 09:35:35 AM
Thanks for this warning, I am sure that it would do many people a favour. I have been careful of many projects in the crypto space, I don't even look at the side of the new tokens anymore no matter the name of the project. One has to be very careful these days that individuals and companies are using legit means to scam.

Anything aside from BTC and ETH is an abomination to me now, I will always do my investment, trading and calculation around the two.
4628  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Games CBN and Nigerian banks are playing with Cryptocurrency and Nigerians on: December 30, 2022, 08:39:27 AM
It was a rude shock to me when I read the announcement of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on the banning of cryptocurrency in February 2021. This caused panic amongst crypto users and enthusiasts, to the point that companies were forced to shut down as the apex bank and its allies were clamping down on some accounts with little to no warning. This subsequently generated some debates for clarity, which made the CBN clarify that Nigerians could own and operate with cryptocurrencies, but can't deal with Nigerian banks with its transactions. Initially, I must say that I panicked, thankfully, the P2P system saved the day, and it's still doing it perfectly well.

Now, what surprises me are the recent events unfolding barely a year after the announcement, to the point that the so-called ban looks like a mirage. Those companies that shut down in the wake of the announcement are coming back, while many more are even joining to make the matter even more surprising.

Those that are conversant with Binance, for example, could testify that it rushed to stop the local deposit and withdraw at that time. But now, Binance is again operating the same service under 'Cashlink.' This is one among multiple others to save us time.

While the last of the surprises was the desperation of Paybis in breaking back into the Nigerian crypto market, a Scottish company that does not have a known address in Nigeria now offers a deposit into Nigerian banks in an exchange for cryptocurrencies. This was what the so-called CBN claimed to have targeted by their ban, but it's now obvious that it's more dominant in the banking system and now only targets the commoners.

Maybe the ban is now for the poor masses or some small companies, who knows? Regardless, the crypto masses will win, at last. I hope the fight for cryptocurrency by Rep/Senate sees the light of day.
4629  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Banks and Crypto currency related issues. on: December 30, 2022, 07:02:12 AM
I hope this opinion does not contradict any existing protocol.

It doesn't and I don't think we're having much cases of closed accounts anymore. As a enthusiast involved in the space, you have to be cautious to avoid having crypto related words in any transactions that you make. Also I for advise make we dey avoid the Kobo payment if we dey run P2P transactions, just round am up as banks dun notice say na crypto traders dey always add those kobo for their payments.

Also try avoid using your main bank account for all this transactions, use any of this microfinance banks wey full everywhere like then Kuda dem so Incase your account get compromised and them close am, you fit access your other funds for your main account and move am to saved location before anything reach that side.

The way I dey see things dey go self very soon banks go welcome the idea of cryptocurency investment that's if this bill them wan pass go through, already there were rumors of a particular Nigeria banks investing in the space but dem come online come clear the matter few weeks back say dem no dey investment in any cryptocurrency but remember what dey say, there's a fire behind any smoke you see. Crypto go soon dey friendly for Nigeria na him be the koko.
Your advice is certainly a good one and wisdom demands it. I make sure that my main bank accounts are shielded from crypto transactions, I only move money from my accounts to the others. And to make it look smarter, I use one of the fintech for my crypto withdrawals and the subsequent transfer to my other accounts is free.

Still, I don't know what is going on in Nigeria regarding this subject matter. Many companies are now using direct bank payments for crypto dealing and the so-called CBN does nothing about it. Could it be that this restriction is only for the poor and voiceless?
4630  Economy / Gambling / Re: If you were building a Sportsbook... on: December 30, 2022, 06:49:13 AM
I don't have much experience in games and casinos, but one of the things that I would like to see built in a casino is an internal excahgen, it is the most comfortable way for many players to come, but to set rules so that not all they only come for that, the other thing is that they leave bonus things and consrusops with so many things in exchange, without many requirements because it is very difficult to win when they give bonuses in exchange for playing.

That they make an internal forum where they reward for publishing without having to be in signature campaigns, it is a strategy that I really like that they did in some projects.
Oh, these are brilliant ideas from you, and I believe that some companies are now doing that. Though I have not seen much from a casino before, it shouldn't take long before they would start copying other companies. Internal exchange is good, but I would have loved it more in form of P2P. It would deal with more options of the payment system used so that different customers could cross-exchange what they have for what another could offer.

But for the forum, I will not really subscribe to it as it would be restrained and manipulated since they (companies) would be the moderator.
4631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Qatar world cup Final Predictions on: December 30, 2022, 06:42:09 AM
France was no where in the final neither with the ball not with attack and strike.  The penalty at 80th minute changed all the scene of game and than another goal from Mbappe, this is definitely most interesting world cup I have ever watched because of the passion from both teams no one gave up till the last minute.

I was having a discussion with one of my friends. He was saying that the tackle (that resulted in penalty) was necessary as France would have scored otherwise. I disagreed. Even if they had conceded a goal, it would have been better. Look at what happened after the tackle. France was awarded a penalty, Emiliano Martínez got a yellow card, and more importantly Kylian Mbappé added one more goal to his kitty in the form of penalty kick (which enabled him to win golden boot). Martínez was very cautious after this, as he was already booked. If they had conceded the goal, it would have been still better.

Argentina goalkeeper Martínez won the Golden Boot one of the reasons he made a late save.  There were only 28 seconds left in overtime.  If that goal had not been saved by Martinez, Argentina would never have achieved the dream of the World Cup in Qatar.  Because France was ahead by 1 goal, while Martinez worked hard to save pelanty of goals.  Due to which Golden Boot gets martinez.
Emiliano Martínez got Golden gloves for his excellent goalkeeping throughout world cup and specially in final he is the reason of Argentina victory as he stopped all the goals and made victory confirm for Argentina.
Penalty shootout is total goalkeepers task if they become successful in that he victory will be theirs and if not they'll be blamed .
It's true that Argentina win the final through extraordinary performance by the GOAT Lionel Messi as well as the heroic performance from the goalkeeper Martinez. But France do some mistakes which push them toward defeat in final penetlies and the mistake was they substitute the main player like giroud and grizeman, I know after Thier substitute the game was totally change but in penelties the young player got pressurized and didn't score a penelty.

France's effort in the first half of the final match was very weak. Many also questioned the quality of their play in the finals. But in the second half, their big change can be noticed. Mbappe was able to score another amazing goal within a few minutes of receiving a penalty goal. With that goal, the outcome of the match changed and the two teams had to play in extra time. The way Argentine legend Messi played throughout the match deserves huge praise. By winning the last match, this legend filled his world victory and his void.
This was what cost France who was the defending champion in this year's world cup, but at least, they become second, which is a good point that they did not win the previous world cup with luck. The French team was great but they were too relaxed in their games, and I sensed danger when they found it difficult to outshine the Moroccan team in the semi-final.

They won the match, but I was just not impressed as they were lucky to have known how to score goals better than the Moroccan team. But such lapses cost them when they faced better Argentina.
4632  Economy / Economics / Re: Hope for cryptocurrency in Nigeria. on: December 29, 2022, 05:19:59 PM
Frankly, it should be clear that it's not actually the Nigerian government that restricted cryptocurrency, it's the central bank of Nigeria. If it were to be the Nigerian government, then it would have been so catastrophic for the users. But it's the CBN, and they only have the right with the banks by restricting the banks from dealing with individuals and companies transacting with cryptocurrency.

However, I did not use the word "ban" like the OP because what is being experienced in Nigeria is actually a play of restriction, it is nothing serious anymore. Many individuals and companies have started engaging banks directly with crypto-related transactions just like it was before the restriction was announced.
4633  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals! on: December 29, 2022, 01:33:17 PM
I confess that now I don't have time to go and search the TOS of Duelbits.com but following logic if you are using VPN then you are entering Duelbits.com with an IP that shows that you are in another country that is not your real country, that is, you are hiding your true location, so if one day they ask you to do KYC you will have to deliver your documents, and your ID will have your real parents and the address declaration will also show your true location

then based on these documents you provided to comply with KYC the casino will compare your IP that you always enter the casino with the documents you provided, and they will find out that you are hiding your true location and if you are entering the casino from a restricted country then the casino will block your account with your funds, and you won't have to complain because you're wrong, so don't use VPN, in such a KYC time it doesn't make sense to use VPN anymore
but I mean I use VPN when can't login to Duelbits platform only. when I was able to log in I immediately turned off the VPN and reloaded the site after that everything was fine.
so completely I don't use VPN continuously only when there is a problem opening the Duelbits site.
I don't know what the problem is, for sure sometimes I can't open Duelbits but after I use a VPN I can access it and after I turn off the VPN everything is still fine and I can still bet there.
is there the same as me?
I hope you would be careful about this, it might raise suspicion, and you might want to be logging the complaints with Duelbits officially if a thing like this happens often. Let me believe that Duelbit doesn't restrict IPs, but at times, for security concerns, if IP moves from one country to the other through the use of a VPN raises concerns. You have to be careful!

As for the reason, it does happen to some specific IPs due to the site's host and other determining gateways protocols restricting some certain IP addresses, there is no peculiarity about this. And if you are using a dynamic IP, just switch your flight mode off and on, and the trick would be done as your IP changes to another. This has helped me many times.
4634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin payment laundering in order to avoid taxation on: December 29, 2022, 10:01:52 AM
Hello I have started accepting payments with bitcoin due to its anonym state. Should I state them at my taxes as payments? Should I just spend them as a bitcoin on groceries and under 1,000 payments? Also, is it worth it to take them in cash using a crypto atm? What is my best option to not get this money tracked and taxed?
My simple advice to you in this regard is that you should be transparent about this as possible you could. Let me start by saying that it's the fault of the government of many countries for not making the adequate provision for a thing like this so that they could genuine tax transactions as it's being made. Instead, they are fighting crypto which supposes to earn them more revenue.

As this is not your fault and there are no adequate provisions by law in this regard in most cases, just continue with your business and let your bank tax you only when you move monies from crypto to fiat.
4635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 29, 2022, 09:47:03 AM
Like it or not, Simone Inzaghi had to force his players to play well in Week 16 of the Serie A match. The two teams "Napoli and Inter" admit that they will have a tough match and so far Simone Inzaghi has also acknowledged Luciano Spalletti's greatness in leading his team.

I don't think Inter will be daunted by what Napoli have achieved in their last 15 matches in Serie A, and they need to keep up the good motivation to get one step closer to the top of the table. Inter mustn't drop any more points if they want to fight for the title this season, so far the two teams are 11 points adrift which is actually very big, but Inter has the chance to reduce that gap to 8 points if they win.

Also Inter will have to work on this win to get into the top 4 and take advantage of the opportunities that arise. Lazio, who have the same points as Inter, seems to have won 3 points more easily because Lecce is not a strong opponent. There is pressure on Inter in this game, but they have to try their best.

I don’t know how the game will end, but I think that at least it will be productive - Napoli have the best attack in Serie A, and Inter have the worst defense among the first nine teams. And in general, Inter is extremely unstable - ten wins and five losses with zero draws. I don't understand how the bookmakers consider it a favorite.
This match date is still far but what I could conclude is that Napoli has a higher chance to win the match. The worst is for them to draw, which I don't think is feasible due to the attacking power of Napoli. At the moment, their main attackers do not have injuries which might be a better advantage for them, and they have not lost a single match this season, unlike Inter Milan which has lost twice.

Inter Milan might be in the second position, but to me, Juventus still has upper hand to beat Napoli than them.
4636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cashless Gambling, your thought? on: December 29, 2022, 09:38:18 AM
The world is going more digital, it would not be long that the people in power would be thinking in that regard. What you just brought to our attention here might look so simple, but in the deep thought of it, it would go a long way in further helping the government to oversee gambling activities when it comes to financial flows. The issue with cash is that once it leaves the bank, all its transactions are anonymous, and gambling companies are using it to evade tax and launder money.

A strict cashless gambling policy would surely help in this regard.
4637  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Fuel Scarcity Discussion: NNPC sells petrol for N148; private depots, N215+ on: December 29, 2022, 09:22:37 AM
It's a pity that a country blessed with crude oil could be facing the situation we found ourselves in Nigeria with regard to the fuel of all classes. Particularly, the petrol as @CryptopreneurBrainboss put the figure at N215+ per litre, but specifically in my neighbourhood, the private stations are selling it at N300 per litre. This is preposterous! It started like a play with a country that is being ruled by corrupt and selfish leaders. I don't know what happened to our refineries that no one is talking about it.

Is it that Nigeria as a country could not build new functional refineries from the scratch, let alone not have the capacity to revitalize the old ones? This always baffles me, and I hope God will deliver us one day.
4638  Economy / Economics / Re: Never try to time lowest or up just try to dca near by on: December 28, 2022, 03:46:06 PM
Investments could be done at any time, all that matters are the right speculations and planning. And I would have loved it if you left the FED out of this, they are doing their thing and it would always be for the safety and betterment of the US and the global economy at large. Printing could happen at any time, but the effect will certainly be minimal on Bitcoin this time that inflation and more uncertainty in the global economy are plaguing.

And as for whales and others, let me be clear, the time that a few sets of people would be controlling Bitcoin and crypto space is over. It's now being majorly controlled by institutions, and they are the biggest stakeholders these days. Unless there would be other major events that would check the world or be directly related to crypto itself, I do not see any immediate foreseeable impacts in the crypto space whether good or bad.

4639  Economy / Services / Re: BLUE CHECKMARK SERVICE - Social media verification for IG, TikTok, Spotify + mor on: December 28, 2022, 12:07:29 PM
$1k for the check mark in twitter while you can directly pay twitter for $8.
You have a very good point there, why waste my money when I could tap from the source directly? Also, the negative trust score of the OP is a huge call for concern. Everyone should be extremely careful.
4640  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: All in the name of "we are sorry we got hacked" on: December 28, 2022, 08:31:05 AM
This is a very good reason to be sure of where you are sending your money, it's always about trust. The claim of the OP is so genuine, and one of the reasons why I would always clamour for more regulation in the crypto space despite many people not thinking towards that direction. There are legit scams, and this pattern would not stop if there are no strict independent experts and government overseers that would put an end to such criminal activities. This could be peculiar to the centralized companies alone, it doesn't matter.

Many people had been legally and illegally scammed in the name of crypto, I only trust a few decentralized wallets, nothing else.
