Grear, but where can I find the  check box option to hide garbage posts? Those are what is really bothering me. Not so much looking st the sigs and avatars.

Have  you tried DannyHamilton's ignore list?  It probably needs an update (last jan 2016) but it's a good start: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=973843.0

Try using that ignore list and then browsing the fourm, you probably won't see 90% of the posts here because that list just contains users that have signature campaigns

So you are telling me that you should ignore staff posts or former staff posts just because they use a signature?

Hey, good job copying the list of people who were excluded from DH's main ignore list. Roll Eyes

Read next time, buddy. Prefacing the code, DH stated very clearly:

Quote
The following users either have sig ads, or have signatures that might be mistaken for ads. As such, they may have been previously on my ignore list. I've come across their content when quoted by others and have found that they create reasonably intelligent posts. I generally double check against this list before ignoring someone.  If they are on this list, then I only ignore them if their recent posts appear to be unhelpful nonsense (In which case they would then be removed from this list). You can decide for yourself if you want to ignore them or see their posts, but you won't find them in my current ignore list

Why are you not responding to actmyname's findings?

Why is actmyname doing a better job policing your poker room than your own security?

Just as an update, here's the results of yesterday's 100 flop challenge.

And I saw some friendly colluding faces playing today in the 4NL limit as well.
4623  Other / Meta / Re: My trust page page does not load on: July 11, 2017, 09:53:59 PM
There surely had to be some other way to improve the loading time of the trust page without making this change.

How difficult would it be to add a +, -, or blank for positive, negative, neutral members respectively? Would that be too slow, even still?
Not too experienced with dealing this kind of thing but even a change like this SHOULD accelerate it, right?
4624  Economy / Gambling / Re: (Free 100K Sats) ★FlippyBit.io★ | Clean | 1% House Edge , Live user chat! ★Win! on: July 11, 2017, 09:46:59 PM
Considering this got bumped again and people can't read, I'll bring up an old quote of mine from the previously-deleted thread.

This is a scam.

When you check your provably fair bit, it shows the server seed hash. All seems fine until you realize that the server seed hash corresponds to the previous bet. Which means that after you bet, you're given the server seed hash for the bet you just wagered. Which means that these bets can be manipulated.

Don't believe me? Try it yourself. Go into your provably fair section, copy down the hash. Then flip a coin, check your history and the seed section noticing that the bet you JUST played corresponds to a new hash: the one that's now updated and not the old one.

This is a scam. Do not deposit or post anymore.
4625  Other / Meta / Re: Ban Legendaries from signature campaigns on: July 11, 2017, 09:37:59 PM
I think Legendaries are the least of concern. It's the legions of shitposters from developing nations with dozens of accounts each trying to earn a living when they can't even speak English that are the problem and the shitcoin campaigns that will happily pay them to do so.

Every single time there is an easy thread to reply to, spammers flock to it. Lending threads by newbies. Account auction threads that are "missing information". Obvious scams. Gambling scripts. And anything in Gambling discussion that asks a vague question.

Check out this thread: https://archive.is/jl8aS

They continually repeat the same thing: "this strategy won't work for long". I find that the FortuneJack campaign never returns anything of value.

i must say it is a joke  Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked
It is not a joke for me. If he was started from 50k satoshis, he made good profit from that. But i can say he is too confident/optimism his startegy will always works.

All these bots are a waste of your time and electricity. Just to earn so small amount, you want to run your computer for 8+ hours?
Try to buy a VPS.

ICO.

Strategy again. For sure this will not last forever and the guy for sure just showed a portion where he did profit. No strategy can beat the house, that is a fact you cannot change! The house will win in an infinite number of games.

↑ Disregarding the first reply to the thread, this one is essentially the only one that contributes 'unique content'. From now on it's a cesspool of recycling. If only they recycled in real life half as much!
So do you think you can win always on dice game? I think not and your strategy is working on you for a short period of time and im pretty sure that it wouldn't work for you and anyone again since as i know dice game stats and rolls are randomly occur so for that theres no chance for to earn a 100% winning strat and win frequently on them since dice game totally got 50/50 chances for bettor to win on that game.

Typical chunk of low-effort information. ICO.

No matter what strategy you will end up losing your balance at one point and its ridiculous that you are selling such strategy for 0.1BTC when we have many better strategies available for free at Dicebot site https://bot.seuntjie.com/Scripts.aspx
The more you play the more you will expect to lose.

Repetition.

-snip-

That's right, he's getting a small profit from his new tactics. And he rushed to boast that here, and I felt uncomfortable about it. Do not talk about any tactics when playing gambling, it only works for a short time, and soon after, you can lose all the money you have. Remember that there is no perfect strategy.

Repetition, agreement, ICO.

-snip-

Of course! He just showed only the best part of his gambling activity. For sure he just wants people to believe his strategy so if anyone would really win he would get tips or even referrals. The statement "there is no perfect strategy" is an understatement! There is NO real working strategy in gambling!

Repetition, agreement, FortuneJack.

This is just a way of promoting his bots for strategy making in gambling activities. This is not a perfect thing that gets the users good earning, because the promotion just has shown the chart where the strategy wins and if the entire play chart is shown. This might get clear that it's a failed strategy.

Recycling, agreement, ICO.

-snip-
Actually OP just sharing about strategy on dice gambling. You're right this is not a best way to take good earning.
But why not, there's worth to try. Anything strategy can't able to guarantee a win. But just think how you can be winner on casino (Thing your goal about gambling).

Recycling, agreement, ICO.

[OP]
well this is good really, but its take very long time Undecided

ICO.

maybe you only get lucky  Grin
if i try the strategy i get lost  Cheesy
good luck for you

ICO.

These replies should be trashed, the thread should be trashed, and they should have their post count permanently lowered by 50. That'll teach them.

All of the above quotes were consecutive, by the way. So it's a consecutive string of bullshit replies.

EDIT: And of course, someone revives this scam thread with their idiocy. (Flippybit.io)

First revision of the roulette game design for mobile.

Feedback welcome.

The spacing on the "EVEN" text is shifted to the right too much and should be centered.

Personal preference, but I don't like the gradient on the bet, balance, and won sections. Additionally, the border for it would probably be better if it were a flat color (or at least not a gradient that becomes similar to the background). Same type of thing with the buttons on the bottom-right.

The logo for Betking is too squished (unless that image is not the full window)

The "BET" above the chips should be centered with it.

Lastly, The numbers appear too thin (width-wise) with the rectangles in that fashion. It would look better were they oriented in the same direction as the 2:1 text, or if the rectangles' height was scaled down.

4629  Economy / Reputation / Re: LAUDA IS OFF DT! EVERYONE CELEBRATE! on: July 08, 2017, 10:53:31 PM
Now tell me how do you buy food and pay for necessities , without said income.
DT members blacklist people without proof, and block income from signature & escrow services, which they can then monopolize for themselves. So thinking that they don't hurt people , is pure stupidity on your part.

Signature campaigns are a privilege. They should not be your only source of income because that creates an unstable reliance upon the campaigns. As well as this, it perpetuates spam. If you're forced to post for money, the type of discussion you're involved in is not necessarily that of a constructive nature. See Gambling discussion for reference.

Oversight of Ratings by 3rd parties before a negative rating can be entered

Who? And what if that third party is corrupt? You'll need an nth party to monitor them.

or
Members have to agree to receive positive or negative ratings during escrows and trades.

Wouldn't you only then trade with people who agree to receive the ratings then, given that those that don't agree are more likely to scam - since there are no consequences? Nothing will change in that regard.

Still waiting for you to comment on how the majority of trust feedback sent out is valid, opposite of what you've been declaring consistently.
4630  Economy / Reputation / Re: LAUDA IS OFF DT! EVERYONE CELEBRATE! on: July 08, 2017, 10:15:02 PM
There is no direct oversight of DT ratings and members are given cart blank to make up shit as they go,
read the ratings most are rantings not actual evidence of wrong doing.
Or do you think this is the minority report and you can prosecute people before they commit wrongdoings.

That final point. We should prevent crimes before they happen, no? Conspiracy to commit a crime should be treated the same as the act of committing the crime itself. The only difference is when the individuals are punished.

If you look at a lot of trust ratings, you'll find that in reality most are NOT rantings. Example: Lauda's sent feedbacks (since you seem to love complaining about them)

There are a few without references but the majority do have references and are legitimate feedback warnings.

If there is a known scammer, would you simply wait until you are scammed to send them a negative feedback? You wouldn't bother warn others about their scamming (or an accusation towards them that has yet to receive a reply?)

Are all of the DT members corrupt , of course not , but for evil to happen all of the few good members have to do is nothing, which sadly by not self policing their own members ratings is exactly what happens.
Already showed you the Ryland case.

Example: Maybe you would prefer the Police in your area have no oversight, and when you get a ticket , the officer kills you, because he did not like your face, clothes, or comments.
Now quit being a damn dumb ass and recognize the DT members generally act with zero oversight of their ratings.

Not a great analogy, given the fact that DT members can't kill you. They can direct feedback to your account in an effort to slander your name but if you can redirect the attention towards their unruly behavior and remove their trusted status then it's possible to nullify the effects. Typically when you act like a child in court, the jury doesn't take very kindly to you either. Wink

FYI:
Giving an group or individual the power to act as Judge , Jury , & Executioner will always lead to corruption and abuse, study your history and quit being so stupid!

Agreeable. But from a trading perspective, the jury is your potential partner, not DT. If the feedback is irrelevant then you can easily convince potential traders.

And I don't see why you call me an asskisser since there's nothing for me to gain from Lauda, who is now off DT  Roll Eyes

(Oh, but of course! Because Lauda = theymos = satoshi)
4631  Economy / Reputation / Re: LAUDA IS OFF DT! EVERYONE CELEBRATE! on: July 08, 2017, 09:13:13 PM
if the DT members do not police their own members that abuse it on personal whims , DT will always be bullshit.
You always resort to the same meaningless arguments again and again.

If you corrupt ass DT members would actually Self-Police your own members, then Lauda reign of abuse would end , instead you pieces of shit continue abusing non-dt members.
Ryland R. Taylor Almanza=MIxan Needs removed from DT

... ?

DT Members are not immune to persecution, but because DT members are trusted they are not as inclined to scam or conduct scummy behavior.
Also, I still think you have DT and green trust mixed up. DT is when an individual is added to the DT trust tree and green trust is just when they are given positive feedbacks by DT individuals.

You still haven't answered my question, by the way. I bolded it for you in case your eyesight has deteriorated from your old age. Wink

Okay, so then let's take a look. Going in here and viewing DT, I find that there are 209 DT members, in level 1 and 2. Are you trying to tell me that you think - given all of them are corrupt and scammers - that there are <209 scammers that aren't on the DT trust list?

Go make your own forum with its own trust system and we'll see how it works out. If it's good, then there's no reason not to implement it here: be the bigger man and help us experiment, yeah?

Here we have colluders literally admitting to it. They're still around, NS. Every time I hop into one of their 4NL limit games they finish their round and sit out immediately. How are you not catching the simple SB call, check, raise/fold? (for context, they thought Majman and I were colluding and therefore said "2 vs 2")

Why not, at the very least, take a look at the limit games (esp. with only 2 players) an hour before the 100 flop tournament?

Here's the text log:

4633  Other / Meta / Re: Searching on BitcoinTalk on: July 06, 2017, 09:08:55 PM
Google's search engine is actually more accurate than the built in one.
I used the forum's search engine to look for mentions of my name in case there's a discussion I missed. Google is a little bit more difficult in that regard, where searching for my name (even sorting by date) does not retrieve all recent results I require - in fact sometimes it sends me results from way back - thus it puts a hindrance upon me.
The 5-board limit is a little annoying in that regard. I am able to manage because I only post in a few boards but as for others that may have done the same as I to check for replies, they may have been active in a variety of boards and threads.
4634  Other / Meta / Re: How to clear red trust? on: July 04, 2017, 04:23:30 AM
I don't see any posts but you could clear your red trust if you got enough positive trust.
I'm sure you didn't look at why OP got red trust. The posts are clearly archived and their encouragement of participation in a ponzi scheme is displayed.
And I don't think they are going to be getting any positive trust any time soon.

We need to come up a way to make them read it like mandatory though I don't how it will go so the best thing is to make it very obviously available to them like really right in front of their eyes (in the home page)... And make these newbies somehow to read it before posting? Well we can somehow modify it to make it more effective?

Warning then temp ban for all threads that can be answered with stickies. That'll teach them to read it.
I have an inkling that some of the newbies asking these threads are merely there to boost the post count of other members.

Oh crap something new learned.  I just liked the Trezor it had features if you had lost it and you could get back the BTC stored on it.

Would you say the Trezor is a safe way to go for offline wallet from exp that you know?

Thank you so much for the reply.
Trezor and Ledger alike are good hardware choices for wallets but that's only if you care seriously about security. If you practice good Internet security and are careful about your online presence then you should be fine wtih using a simple desktop offline wallet unless we're talking about high numbers of bitcoins. Then, I would recommend a hardware wallet (and/or cold storage where you store most of your funds for safety).

Here's some code for you to copy with: edit your first post as not to double post.
Code:
[quote author=actmyname link=topic=1997745.msg19896151#msg19896151 date=1499009726]
If you have a problem using the hardware Trezor wallet with their online wallet (which you shouldn't, given that you bought their product and trust it) then you could alternatively connect it to a Electrum wallet. Electrum is an offline wallet though it has less privacy and security than for example Bitcoin Core because you don't run your own node. (iirc, correct me if I'm wrong)

[hr]

And as for e-wallets, just don't. Control your [b]own[/b] private keys by using an offline wallet of your own volition. There's [url=https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=37.0]plenty available.[/url]

I never tested Trezor but Ledger Nano S works pretty well and is cheaper than Trezor.
[/quote]

Yeah not a big fan of cheap stuff. I believe in the "you get what you pay for" I seen a video on both + a 3rd one the keepkey review. I'd really go with the most popular one and a bit more higher price due to the feature of if you lose it you can recover it part. And it had another feature for sending.

Also to any mods I don't know how to reply for 2 different people in one post I'm new. I don't really do forums online really.

4638  Economy / Reputation / Re: Who the hell uses CecilNiosaki as Escrow, DT may have hands changed, on: July 01, 2017, 04:27:03 AM
I don't see how another person offering them as one potential escrow (of 3) shows that the escrow is a scammer. It just doesn't make sense here. What IS true though is that Cecil is an account that was trusted by DeaDTerra to essentially recycle trust back into their account. Does that indicate an outright scam? Absolutely not.
And the negative feedback you cite is literally by a brand-new account with no reference whatsoever. In fact, Cecil's account didn't even post these past two months. [Archive]

Thread archive, just in case.
4639  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Creating a newbie guide pdf over the weekend, what do YOU want to learn about? on: July 01, 2017, 04:13:37 AM
You ever read the Bitcoin Guide on the official site? I found it a bit confusing at times and thought that it needed to be clarified more easily, in layman's terms even. If you haven't read through it, I would recommend you to do so and create a sort of synopsis on it. Add annotations on the side to explain certain technical aspects of the technology more clearly, like mining difficulty and what a hash exactly is.
The main points should be clear, though. Mining (and some sort of explanation on blocks), decentralization, deflationary controlled supply, block chain technology.
As for things like wallets and addresses, that is also a key point that should be emphasized. I find that a lot of individuals new to cryptocurrencies have no idea what an address is - usually don't even know public/private keys exist - so they store all their coins on the exchanges, which is bad.

If you plan on creating multiple pdfs, then separate the technicals of blocks, their headers, coinbase tx's, pub/priv key related content, into the technical one. But the aforementioned principles, I would say, should still be on the main one more all individuals.

Ah, and please compress your posts into one! Double-posting is bad.

Here's the code for you to do just that, so edit away.

This is a "free" guide or not?

Try to explain:
1. What is substitutionality in cryptocurrency fund transfering.
2. What are the Rules for International Fund Transfers in USA. ([url=https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/1960]18 U.S. Code § 1960[/url])
3. What is the greater fool theory.
4. Why here is no Advertising for Monero Mixer.
[/quote]

Free guide, Knowledge should [b][i][u]always[/u][/i][/b] be free.

I will try my best to answer #1, but I think #1 may be saved for a later edition for intermediary/advance teachings. but I'll try my best to break it down into a beginners format.

#2 will also follow the same attempts as #1 but I do see the importance in making this knowledge and aspect of cryptocurrency known to beginners so I'll try and get that included

#3 will be included

#4 will require some time and I think I'll make that an annex inclusion at the end of the beginners guide.

Thank you for your input, and I will try my hardest to have as much included in the beginners guide as much as possible.

[quote author=ahmedjamal1998 link=topic=1995186.msg19868923#msg19868923 date=1498865817]
That's a very great idea of yours to create a pdf trying to help others and beginners.

Try adding the most asked things in the beginners section. Here's a few:

-How to secure their wallets such as using ledger nanos and such.
-Types of wallets available (espeically the offline ones such as electrum and mycelium.
-How to buy bitcoins.
-Dangers of keeping bitcoins on an online exchange.

That's all I can think of.
[/quote]

#1 Yes, security is a major important factor for beginners so I will most certainly include this in the guide

#2 this will be included in the guide to show the options and choices present to beginners

#3 Most certainly

#4 Ok, and I'll include this inside the security section from the first point you've bought up.

thank you for your input!

The problem with using these templates is that it makes your video look like it's a low-effort product, to which it kind of is. This 'hand-drawing' template awkwardly pops in the colors on images when the animation finishes.

Here's another issue that should be seriously addressed: you were way too shallow in your points. It should be about depth, not breadth. How about talking about the fact that there is a public ledger, commenting on the block chain or mining, or anything technical?

All that you said was that bitcoin was better because it's more widely-used which - although true in a sense - is not a concrete and correct answer.
I'm just saying that if you wanted an informative video then you would talk about the controlled supply, PoW, decentralized points of BTC instead of just giving what appear to be opinion pieces.
