Nice little rise in the last hour I see... currently $3915USD/$4830CAD (Bitcoinaverage).
AltcoinCash is also up... $448USD/$553CAD (Coinmarketcap).
No big deal. We're basically back to where we were 5 days ago.
I'll start getting excited again when it passes $4.5k.

Is there a site that tracks the ROI of staking Decred vs Peercoin vs Dash, etc.?
Seems like an opportunity to offer shorter-term CFD or bond exposure to the rates for a tiny management fee.
Or a mutually beneficial hedging arrangement. EG, 11 people split 110% the cost of a DCR ticket or Masternode or whatever. 10% is kept in reserve so any one of the 11 may reclaim their stake at any time at the cost of forfeiting their share of the stake mined coins. The rest enjoy 90% or 100% of regular rates plus the benefit of the early withdrawal option. And the extra 10% could be entered into a separate scheme of the same design.
Given working markets of ~friction-free atomic swaps and smart contracts for difference, arbitrage between staked coins should drive the ROI similar levels.

They do. People are fantasizing here, on the /bitcoin subreddit and even in news publications about 1,000,000$ /BTC prices.
How is that not a silly exageration? Now imagine Bitcoin is the new global currency. How many USD are there in paper + "virtual"? 5 trillion? Maybe even more? We all know that Bitcoin supply is limited to 21 million. Now the $1m/BTC forecast doesn't seem so crazy anymore? You are not taking in the 300 to 400 forks (like bitcoin cash) that would come into play (evil hairless primates that we are all..you can bet on it) at those sky high prices what a cluster and wow what FUD if Bitcoin went to 10k by the 1st of the year...bankers running in the street tearing hair out ..would be a hoot.... Meanwhile...btc seems to want to go sideways and slink for a bit..price wise that is.....(people being mean to btc now .....sad)... I'm not sure what you mean by that ? I'm sure there at least a few folks with at least 2k coins posting in this thread... Even retired living on a catamaran in Tahiti I would check in on this thread. I find that between all of the arguments and general banter there is a good sense of what is going on in the Bitcoin world here from many different perspectives. Especially with regard to large price movements. It may not be the most accurate but it beats searching the Internet trying to see if people are reacting to one single thing or what is going on. The rest of the forum is shit due to signature campaigns. Reddit is comparable as the shitty threads can be downvoted. I tried following #bitcoin on twitter and it's just filled with ads. rolling the waves with a wind-powered asic miner no doubt weee |

What do you mean? I am also willing to share links and make YouTube videos or anything else. Anything bloggy that can help the coin. Ex: Devcoin has a whole wiki site that pays the authors, while at the same time bringing new users to Devcoin. This coin was launched without any pre-mine, insta-mine and completely fairly. As a result, there is no stash of coins held by the devs for a bounty. So was Bitcoin, and I can earn them for chatting. That is something Tradefortress has funded out of his own pocket largely to promote his eco-system of Inputs.io and Coinlenders. That's great. Just wondering if you guys had anything of the sort.
