When you register on their site, they sent you back a confirmation email with the password in cleartext. Very professional company/webshop Thanks for the info, I will fix that. When are the chips leaving the fab?

And by "missed deadlines that have occurred with producers of mining equipment in the past" you mean only scamming BFL, because the other producers of mining equipment didn't missed their deadlines or they missed only a bit

When it comes down to it, look: You ordered Avalon to the address that you initially listed. Unless you are reselling or a scammer, there is no real explanation for why you would need to change your address for delivery. If there is anything Avalon is trying to avoid, it is to get involved in the politics of reselling or facilitating any activity beyond initial delivery of the product. Unless you can justify your movement of address with severe crisis ie. natural disaster, government intervention, bloody revolution (which I'm guessing you cannot) there is no justification on your end for this issue, and there is no reason for Avalon to address your convoluted "problem". Receive your unit at the initial address and then resell it. If you claim you listed the "wrong address", that is your fault, they explicitly stated there will be little to no customer service for their sales in their terms of service.
Did you read this topic? I have moved from Canada to the US for work. it doesn't seem plausible that he was given less than 2 months notice to move to a new country. Are we really starting to investigate why does he want to change his address? Feel free to do it, but as long as he doesn't want to change his delivery name i don't think anyone else can pick it up if he changes his address.

Wow, There is so much crying going on in these forums, I'm starting to wonder if it's a physical impossibility to run out of tears.
I Pre-Ordered a 60 GH/S Single in September 2012, and I'm not expecting delivery before august.
If you really can't wait anymore, just get a fucking refund... Yes they held your money for a long time for free if you ask for a refund, but just be smarter then next time. The indicators that they would not deliver on time have always been there...
Before August 2014 or 2015?

100 GH/s Bitcoin Miner In Stock And Ready To Ship Really? Shouldn't they get a scammer tag? How can they prove that they have 100GH/s miners IN STOCK and ready to ship?
|
|
|
Maybe try to figure out when will they ship it to the old address and just be there? With all your documents of course...

To keep the smoke screen up, they had jody seemingly post that orders were going out. They had everyone agree that they wanted their order or a refund. Then they kept people in the dark about how many orders were going out each day. This is what is called blowing smoke up a customers ass.
Josh was forced to acknowledge that the [total] stream of 35 prototype orders came to a grinding halt no sooner than it started.
Now they tell people (new false hope) that they have an incredible 100 chips coming in "soon". Followed by unspecified "hundreds" "next week".
OMG, how people can be strung along with hope...
Excellent summarizing... This is typical behavior of fraudsters. They spend peoples money to keep the appearance up that they are for real with prototypes or other parts etc. and at the point everything is starting to fall apart (i.e. too many refunds or not enough preorders) they disappear. Acutally they used customers money to design and develop another Bitcoin hardware. The BitSafe hardware wallet. Who knows what's in that wallet. Maybe someday in 1-2-3-x years your money will just vanish from it

Virtual Mining Corporation is now taking pre-orders for its Fast-Hash-80 80 GH/s Bitcoin Mining Machine. www.virtualminingcorp.comSo much info from you...When do you expect to have a prototype working? What about finished devices for customers? Why aren't you giving more info?

Wouldn't it be easier to call DHL and convince them to change your address? Or maybe they can inform you when they will ship so you can be at that address.

i still don't understand why the price is so high
1 chip + 1 mini pcb + one usb connector = 2tbc, really?
it would have been much better if they were priced 0.50-1 btc, much honest price...
Why does it have to be honest?
