Smart phones are getting bigger and bigger but most of people buy them more and more.
Old Nokia phone is smaller than modern smartphones people carry everyday.
Well, this is something what I don't like at all. When I'm looking for new phone, I try to find something what would be not too big for me because I need phone, not a tablet. For me it's not comfortable to use big phone with one hand or put it to my pocket. But offcourse, everyone has their own preferences.
BTW, I'm not sure where do you see so called "Ledger cult" here? Because I don't see anyone here praising that Ledger is perfect and that they aren't making mistakes.
4642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: August 01, 2020, 10:22:03 PM
Inter is the favorite UEFA Europa League. The main enemy will be Sevilla. Other teams lack experience or a good coach.Manchester United good team, but inexperienced coach.
According to bookmakers, MU is main favorites currently, they been really solid after lockdown.
Inter is second, but it won't be easy to get through Getafe. Though Getafe played terrible after lockdown.
I think that Bayer and Sevilla have good chances.
Wolves and Shakhtar are underdogs and probably they aren't going to win trophy, but I think they can make some noise.

For example, freebitcoin can share links on apk-file and users add this app to trusted sources in settings. Some poker rooms are using this method to ignore the playstore.
What do you think about it?

What I said in my last post. The whole point of having an app would be to get exposure on Playstore.
Yeah, app which isn't available on Play Store will not give much exposure. Not many people download .apk files from 3rd party websites. While app on Play Store potentially can give millions of downloads.
4644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: July 31, 2020, 04:10:43 PM
It's funny that nobody is actually even considering Lyon - I spoke with a few friends today who asked me 'is Lyon even in CL anymore?'

It will be a good one to watch, Lyon actually has a great result going into this game. If they manage to score a goal, Juventus has to score 3 to go through.

They have the same problem as PSG, but I really think their chances are higher than people think.
Well, yeah, it seems that people forget that Lyon is still in Champions league and they won first leg against Juve 1:0. Despite that they been without official games for so long, I think they have decent chances to get through Juve. Yes, Juventus is Serie A champions, but they haven't showed impressive football after lockdown.
But I'm sceptical abouttheir chances further - I doubt that they capabe to beat City (or Real).
4645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: July 30, 2020, 08:12:53 PM
Sergio Perez is being tested for COVID-19 for second time.
He keeps himself in isolation ulti the results come out.
If he will be positve then we are going to probably see the Calendar being postponed for at least 15 days...
And his second Covid-19 test was positive:
https://www.bbc.com/sport/formula1/53601564
But they aren't going to postpone race because of this. Almost 2 weeks passed since last race and Perez didn't had contact with staff and other drivers recently. He will be replace by Stoffel Vandoorne or Esteban Gutierrez.
When season is so short, every missed race can affect position in drivers championship seriously...
4646  Other / Meta / Re: Huge donations to bitcointalk on: July 29, 2020, 10:51:10 PM
$1.7 million is huge money indeed, but don't forget that most of big donations (50 or 100 BTC) were made long time ago when Bitcoin wasn't $11k. And I may be wrong, but I think that Bitcointalk have much more BTC in reserves. And big donations still happens, but in BTC it's that huge as it was almost decade ago. And I really don't know why people are still donating big money, when it was said multiple times that forum don't need donations to survive.

Sometime i feel that forum is missing a lot of funds by not using google ads. With the sort of traffic, this forum generates, google ads could generate a lot of revenue for the forum, but then it will not remain as clean (ads free) as it is now.
If you look to forum from business perspective, you're right. There is many ways how Bitcointalk can be monetised better. But I think Google ads is one of last things together with KYC which could be added to forum.
First reason why is privacy. I won't go into details because it's obvious.
Another thing is that you can't control content of advertisement. There is so many reports about scams and phishing websites advertised on Google. Probably it wouldn't be good to see such ads on Bitcointalk.
And finally, Bitcointalk isn't commercial business website which needs to maximize profits. Currently Bitcointalk have enough income to continue operations, pay to staff and for development of new software. There is no reason to look for extra income now.
Bitcointalk is one of rare websites which don't have million  ads and you don't need ad blocker hera and I really appreciate that.

4648  Economy / Services / Re: Experienced Signature Campaign Manager Needed on: July 29, 2020, 10:17:48 PM
I agreed with the most suggestion above but lets OP try to have a comparison to other managers out there.

To give fair to other managers, here is the list and you will Find your managers here.
Completely agree, OP should check this topic before picking manager. It's always good to see and compare their portfolio, check how successful their managed campaigns were.
All people listed there are good managers, but personally I suggest to pick Hhampuz, you won't be disappointed Wink

P.S. OP, I tried to visit your website, but I got following error:

Any way, if you look at other app uploaded by this dev, I wouldn't call them trusted.
https://bit.ly/39zrNAE
Can you explain to me what you mean? Isn't such an app made by a developer realistic? I see that this is a paid app even though it is in early access and in development.
I don't know, I don't have enough competence to talk about it. But smart abusers always find ways how to bypass captcha, so maybe it's possible. But it's really strange thing that this app is already paid, despite being in development.
4650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: July 29, 2020, 08:49:34 PM
since match between La Coruna and Fuenlabrada is postponed due to corona outbreak in Fuenlabrada team, all play-off matches in Segunda are postponed, and it will be interesting how the third team from Segunda will be choosen for next La liga season, they need four matches to play in play-off, and one more between La Coruna and Fuenlabrada before next La liga season, and there is no start date at the moment
Well, situation looks very complicated. I read that there is 28 confirmed cases in Fuenlabrada team, so it's not likely that they will be able to play soon. And main problem that there is not that much time left until new season and we still don't know last team playing in La Liga and who have to prepare for season in Segunda. And judging from articles in press, La Liga and football federation have no idea what decision they should make.
4651  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Thoughts about Passport hardware wallet on: July 29, 2020, 08:40:25 PM
Ok, I prefer size of Ledger wallet, but I'm not sure that size and design is such big issue. How many of you are taking hardware wallets with yourself? Because personally, my Ledger never left my home. Offcourse, there is people who spend their Bitcoins in physical stores, but I doubt that many of them are using hardware wallets for it. Most likely that mobile wallets is their choice.
4652  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Thoughts about Passport hardware wallet on: July 29, 2020, 03:32:04 PM
Please don't tell me that Ledger is more elegant than Passport.  Cheesy
People are starting to make Ledger cult in this forum, and don't get me wrong I do own Ledger wallet.
Ledger looks a like old USB drive you can get for 50 cents  Grin and don't let me start with their shity Ledger Live  Undecided
and their recent leak and data breach: https://www.ledger.com/addressing-the-july-2020-e-commerce-and-marketing-data-breach
Yeah, Ledger is similar to cheap USB drive, but I don't think it's bad, I don't think that hardware wallet needs fancy design. Ledger is little, light, compact and simple wallet. While Passport looks like big phone made 20 years ago. I think that with current technologies, they were able to make device smaller and more compact.

Might be, I wouldn't be surprised at all Cheesy.

@Text, Freebitco.in never had their app and haven't said anything that they are planning to launch it, so this one is unofficial.
And I would be very careful with such kind of apps and don't enter your login details there because it may be phishing app. Offcourse, it may app just made in order to get referrals
Any way, if you look at other app uploaded by this dev, I wouldn't call them trusted.

4654  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Thoughts about Passport hardware wallet on: July 28, 2020, 10:48:02 PM
@The Pharmacist, my first thought when I saw photo was same. I think I also had same phones in left and right in past Cheesy.
Description of this wallet and wallet itself looks solid. But I imagine it's going to cost very expensive compared to other hardware wallets. $250 smallest price that I could imagine Cheesy. Now I don't see any reasons why someone would need to replace their Ledger to this wallet.
BTW, I don't get, why camera is needed in hardware wallet?
4655  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Need Suggestions for website on: July 28, 2020, 10:32:05 PM
I agree with others that's not worth to make projects related with ICO's anymore. OP, you're a bit late to this train. Community website similar to Bitcointalk, I also doubt that's good idea. There was so many attempts to make alternative for Bitcointalk, but in general, none of them were successful. It would be very difficult to attract people to such new website.
OP, it seems that you're ambitious and want to make something, but you don't have good ideas now. Well, that's main problem. Crypto market is very competetive,so if you want to be successful, you have to offer something new what your competitors don't have or make something better than they are offering.
4656  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Investing in Nexo. Is it worth it? on: July 28, 2020, 10:20:13 PM
When you make such investments, you always should accept all possible risks. As said above - not your keys, not your coins, so you never know what can happen.
5% yearly interest isn't that, considering all possible risks. There is rule in investment - don't invest more than you afford to loose. But if you will put small amount of BTC there, your profit will be very insignificant. To earn significant interest you have to put big number of BTC, maybe all your holdings. And obviously, it increase risk.
4657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: July 28, 2020, 05:09:11 PM
Are you sure?
I was thinking that Ronaldo will never leave Real but he is now in Juve 😁
Any way,  Messi and Guardiola have very good relationship and owners of Manchester City have enough money to pay for Messi and to fulfil all his desires. If Messi really decide to leave Barcelona I think he will choose Guardiola and Manchester City.
Of course,  it's just speculation now based on some rumors and nothing concrete.
Yah, you never know what will happen, but I think it's not worth to comapre them in this case, because their stories is different. Ronaldo changed multiple clubs in his career - Sprting, MU, Real and now he is in Juve. And he never said that he is planning to end his career in Madrid. While Messi played whole his career in Barcelona and he said about his desire to retire here. I think we see similar articles that Messi may leave Barcelona probably every summer...

I can split it with you if you want.
Thanks, but nevermind. For me it was just strange that we both collected same number of points in that round, but there was no name. It would be interesting to know how Superbru calculate these things.
4659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 💰 Summer Tokyo 2020 💰 Discussion and bet thread 💰 Summer Game 💰 Postponed 21 on: July 28, 2020, 10:53:48 AM
Do you think that the pandemic would go on for another year? If that happens, then we can expect a few million deaths from it. But indications are that a vaccine will be available by the end of this year. 4 of the potential vaccines have now entered the final phase of clinical trials (two from China and the other two from AstraZeneca and Moderna). So hopefully by July next year, we'll be having zero new cases.
Even if vaccine will be found, I think it's not worth to expect that there will be zero new cases then. First of all, it's not possible that over 7 billion people will be vaccinated by July next year. Some people aren't even going to accept vaccine because it may be harmful for their health or they are just anti-vaxers.
And vaccine can't be 100% effective, so it's likely covid-19 will stay with us for long. We have vaccine for flu, but this virus is still here and new kind of vaccine is needed every year. So, I'm a bit sceptical about covid-19 vaccine, I doubt it's going to be panacea.
4660  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Now we need face masks for cats on: July 27, 2020, 07:55:07 PM
Oh, I would like to see how face mask for cats looks like. There is few options already Cheesy :

Does this cat feel symptom of Covid-19?
But seriously, these news means nothing. There is no proofs that cats may spread virus or that virus is dangerous for cats.
Few months ago I remember reading about dogs with Covid-19. Such news may have negative impact, because people who afraid to get infected from their pets may try to get rid of them.
