4661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC on other chains is not BTC on: June 13, 2022, 01:54:58 PM
I wonder what would happen in their stupid BSC centralized blockchain get stuck again like it happened before...they would probably stop all withdrawals from their exchange.
It's crazy they are allowing people to withdraw Bitcoin on ethereum network and pay multiple times higher fees, but I guess everyone is just looking to extra during this bear market.
Bitcoin on other chains is not really Bitcoin, and CZ or someone else can freeze or block that coins whenever they want, or it can go to zero if their chain collapses like in other shitcoins revently.
4662  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Novosti on: June 13, 2022, 12:59:18 PM

Jedna mala najava interesantne serije o poznatom boxeru Mike Tyson, koga glumi ga Trevante Rhodes, a veću ulogu u seriji ima i Harvey Keitel.

Yes, we have recently launched. But we are trying very hard)
Yes, it looks like you are trying very hard to scam as much people as possible...
Aside from lying that you are operating for several years, you are also lying that nobody can access encrypted data, and that you are faster than competition, well maybe you are scamming faster.
I would suggest everyone to stay away from this away from this website, and don't risk sending them s single satoshi cent.

4665  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitlucy withdrawal problem, does this acceptable? on: June 12, 2022, 10:18:19 PM
...
Hey Royse, thanks for posting your explanation about this, but you didn't confirm have you finally become co-partner and marketing director for BitLucy, like you said back in April?

I have to say that I suspect most of the people who are complaining about withdrawals from Bitlucy probably got that early free bonu$ money, and I do recognize some of them for always and only complaining about betting websites.
I didn't use Bitlucy myself so I can't say more about them and withdrawals, but I see their website is in maintenance mode currently.

4666  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: June 12, 2022, 09:47:51 PM

4668  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Global untraceable phone calls - is it still a good idea? on: June 10, 2022, 11:54:49 AM
When you type in a correct/valid number, it'll show you the rates beneath the number [not sure if it was added recently].
I just tested this and I can confirm that you are right, but rates are a bit higher than I expected for calls in Europe, maybe because server and everything else is based in United States.

This is actually the way my old service worked, and I think this is OK as long as it is clearly stated. Either that, or I could add meta mask support, which will give a more anonymous signup. I have thought about both of these options, which one do you think I should prioritise?
I don't want to use anything like this that is connected with metamask wallet, so temporary sign-up would be just fine.
Maybe you can create something like Chipmixer website is using with their Session Token that is used to restore last session.
I don't have anything against normal sign-up registration as long as I don't have to use email addresses or real phone numbers.
4669  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is this -rep which I received, appropriate? on: June 10, 2022, 11:26:48 AM
Thanks for your interest and cooperation. I am so happy that my problem is solved. It is important to provide good forum experience to all users.
Since feedback was removed from your profile, I think it's best that you lock this topic now.
Thanks Timelord for quick response and problem solution.
4670  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Safepal S1 wallet have serious flaws! on: June 09, 2022, 07:33:46 PM
I read dkbit98's post above, and I'm a little confused about the term "decentralized" and I'm wondering if we're all defining it the same way.
Dude you are getting off-topic here, but BNB shitcoin is literally CZ and few of his friends running ''nodes'', so I don't see why would you be confused about my statement.
They can control everything and reverse transactions, so it's not really a secret that most of the shitcoins are not really decentralized, not just CZ child BNB.
Please let's get back on topic now - Safepal hardware wallet.

On topic: I don't own a Safepal wallet, but I do appreciate dkbit98's warning about the fake extension.  It's so easy for unsuspecting folks to just download something that's available in a browser (especially Chrome), not realizing that it's a trojan horse that could potentially rob you blind.  Scary stuff.
I think that Safepal made a mistake with releasing their test browser extension.
All other hardware wallets are trying to avoid having extensions and they are going backwards, so scammers only used this situation.
4671  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Coldcard on: June 09, 2022, 07:18:10 PM
Its very weird to me, that coldcard advertises the NFC feature (that I would appreciate) but nobody seems to question that in reality it is impossible to use. Even on their website where you can find manuals for every last bit of the device they don't even mention the feature.
You should ask mister NVK about that and not us, he is sometimes lurking around here.
Coldcard mk4 is new device so I really don't know how NFC works, I really don't care much about it and I don't like it, but I know this a chip that can transfer any data in similar way like wireless is working but with short range.
If I can send bitcoin transaction with QR codes, sd cards and cables, than I see no reason why NFC would be any different.
I am not 100% sure, but I think their NFC chip is closed source, so they couldn't reveal everything even if they wanted to do it.

NVK is using universal solution answer to all questions people have related with mk4 devices:

This is what NVK said about NFC used for ColdCard mk4 in Bitcoin Magazine few months ago:

Quote
In the connections front, the user can opt into using NFC with the Mk4 by enabling it in the device’s settings as the feature will come disabled by default. Once turned on, NFC will enable the COLDCARD to come near a compatible device to sign a transaction or a message, co-sign in a multisig setup, or share information from the device’s MicroSD card like a payment address or an extended public key, a partially-signed Bitcoin transaction (PSBT), a text file, or a transaction file.

Coinkite founder NVK told Bitcoin Magazine that the goal with NFC is to lower cost, improve UX, and further adoption.

“Imagine hardware wallets being able to just tap-to-pay,” he said.

Although QR codes have recently become popular in some hardware wallets, NVK said they haven’t been adopted in the larger payment industries because they have extremely low data bandwidth, are more complex and not human readable, and require more expensive hardware.

“This feature was added to improve phone-wallet UX as all modern phones have NFC, free, already sitting unused,” NVK said. “NFC will be available to all COLDCARD functions we are able to send or receive data, just like the SD card or USB cable.”

In addition to requiring NFC to be turned on for usage, NVK told Bitcoin Magazine that the Mk4 will also enable the user to permanently disable the feature by scratching a PCB trace exposed on the MicroSD opening.

4672  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Securing Seed Phrase Using Magic Mug Under $15 on: June 09, 2022, 07:08:23 PM
Just imagine scenario when you need to use your only seed words quickly, but you don't have any hot water or fire to warm water  Cheesy
I wouldn't use this magic mug for my seed phrase words, but it could be used for some fun crypto project that doesn't need to be super secure.
I don't know if this color changing gets weaker in time, but that could be one more thing to consider if you want to use them for this purpose.
4673  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [Guide] Futurebit Apollo BTC Custom Linux Install - Base on: June 09, 2022, 06:48:42 PM
I purchased it, yes. It's the full unit, so it has the hashboard and a 1TB SSD with full node. I'll also write a review about it with more info, soon-ish, so we can discuss more questions over there.. Cheesy
Oh I see you were very busy with your new project  Cheesy
So this means you actually started mining Bitcoin at your home?
How much Bitcoin can you earn with one of this devices in a month, and how much electricity would be spent for this operation... especially with ever rising prices :/

Yeah, all in all it's a neat machine; it works well and reliably, it's not 'silent silent', but fairly quiet so as long as it's not in your bedroom, it won't get in your way.
I am silence freak, so for me silent option would be something like Raspberry Pi without any fans, or it can be more noisy if device was in my basement or in some other room.

if you want real silence, the higher-efficiency ASIC chips in the Compac F (BM1397) may be a better choice. Though the price per hash is much higher there and you even need to buy a PSU and the GekkoScience USB hub separately.
I never heard about it and I think it's expensive, but I saw many DIY solutions that work very well with simple putting asic miner in one well isolated box.

The first thing I had to update was the original PSU. That's not too noisy, but I replaced it with a noiseless PSU. Big difference.

The second thing to do is to keep the internal fan running as low as possible. The goal should be to keep it at around 1000-1500 rpm or less for almost no sound. Don't go past 2000rpm because it gets too loud.
Did you voided your warranty by replacing your PSU and changing stuff like this?
Few years ago I replaced fans on one of my old desktop computers and I installed manual fan control that is even better tham PWM fans.
Main problem I had with noise was coming from plastic mesh combined with incoming air, so I had to cut that off one part of a plastic with a knife Smiley
4674  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Global untraceable phone calls - is it still a good idea? on: June 09, 2022, 06:33:27 PM
Alright! A very early version available now, mileage will probably vary, really curious if someone can get it to work and get feedback:

https://papayaphone.com/
Domain name papayaphone is cool, but nothing is showing for me on that website except error message, and I tried several different browsers.
Only browser that worked for me was Tor browser, so maybe there are restrictions for some IP addresses and regions?
I also wonder if Tor browser would even work and have a good call quality, so I didn't test it yet.
I did notice that QR code was not showing up when I created invoice, that is probably something related with strict Tor browser settings, but copy invoice would work just fine.
I guess this is related with HTML canvas image data that needs to be enabled.

This is error message I am getting in my Firefox/Librewolf browsers:

Code:
Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to papayaphone.com. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.

Error code: SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG

This is home page in Tor browser:

I would suggest that you add price rates for calls, so I would know how much I need to pay for one minute of conversation, or something like that.
For example this is how viber rates looks like:
https://account.viber.com/en/rates-index
4675  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Edge issues Mastercard without KYC on: June 09, 2022, 06:06:32 PM
That was a pretty fast hold/rollback, but the non-KYC explicit announcement as part of the marketing pitch must have quickly caught the attention of people that can drive a nail right through the project …
Lol...That escalated quickly in just few days Cheesy
They didn't say who exactly asked them to take down their content regarding mastercard program, but that card page is totally missing from their website.
To me this looks more like a serious warning and order from someone, than polite ask from some friendly authority.
It would be much better if they started offering their cards to other countries first, instead of starting with United States.
4676  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is this -rep which I received, appropriate? on: June 09, 2022, 05:51:57 PM
I made a mistake when I was rookie on forums and tried to join paused signature campaign, I was not aware it was paused.
So Timelord2067 gave me -reputation just because I made amaterish mistake.
What do you think? Is this appropriate?
This is crazy and certainly not appropriate behavior from any forum member, even more from someone who registered here almost ten years ago in 2013.
I would like to hear explanation from Timelord2067 first, but I think that he should remove this feedback from your profile as soon as possible.
Only reasonable thing I could think off is that maybe he made a mistake thinking you were some spammer, but it is still unjustified.
4677  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: June 09, 2022, 05:17:18 PM
Radim sig kampanju zajedno s našim kolegom crypofrkom.

4678  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: June 09, 2022, 01:04:43 PM
We need an experienced BB code designer, please reply here or in PM with your portfolio if you are interested.

JOB: Design of signatures for the campaign, Hero/Legendary and Senior Member, have to be done in about week after we agree on everything. Signatures have to be tested to work properly on different devices (PC, Mob..) and browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge...)

Payment: we will agree on price in USD and payout will be in BTC as per current rate at the moment job is done and accepted.
4679  Economy / Services / Re: I'll Pay $10 For Scam Exchanges on: June 09, 2022, 12:47:43 PM
One fellow contacted me on Discord that I won some bitcoins at their exchange, I did a background check and discovered that it's a scam exchange. So I'm looking to start exposing some of these scam sites. If you find new scam exchanges, I'm willing to pay $10 for 20 scam exchanges you find. Please note that they must be new ones.
I am not asking for any payments from you, but I am contributing with few new exchanges that proven to be a scam operated by same people.
They are scaming customers with scam debit cards using two exchanges so far, this is CriptoDebit.com and Satoscard.com (there could be more clones with other domains).
Don't use any of this exchanges and please spread this warning to more people outside bitcointalk forum.
4680  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CoinGate vs BitPay? on: June 08, 2022, 09:02:33 PM
Hey guys, I want to accept cryptocurrency payments at my website and I am choosing the most suitable payment processor. From my analysis it really came down to two companies BitPay and CoinGate.
gateways?
I wouldn't suggest using any of the options you mentioned, especially when there are much better open source alternatives available out there.
Best thing you can use as payment processor is BTCPay Server1 if you want full control and bunch of options, or lightweight alternative called Cypherpunkpay2.
Both of them are open source, they don't charge any fees and there are no third parties involved.
I would argue that Cypherpunkpay is easier and faster to set-up up and use.

2) https://cypherpunkpay.org/
