4661  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [EDU] List of Bitcoin Scam Sites on: January 17, 2016, 10:28:04 PM
It would be nicer of you would keep the list in alphabetically sorted order. Much easy to navigate. I think tomatocage had maintained the same order.
4662  Economy / Gambling / Re: Project, Gambling strategies on: January 17, 2016, 06:20:35 PM
Each time you lose, you gain the upperhand. If you lose 1 bitcoins, you bet with 2. If you win you will have 1 bitcoin in profit. This would work even with high house edge

Could you try explaining the circumstances if he lose while betting with 2 bitcoins? Does't it depend on your probability(odds) selection weather you're more likely to win or lose? I know in this case is x2 which is 50% ,correct? I doubt you can be sure if the next roll with 2 bitcoins will work in your favor (could or could not).
4663  Other / Meta / Re: If site turns out scam,is the signature campaign manager to blame? on: January 17, 2016, 02:31:23 PM

The site has been running for more than 2 years. I can personally vouch that the owner isnt abandoning his signature campaign. We have ran that for 4 months total now with noone ever having to worry about being paid.

I'm not recommending anything. I'm just saying its paid out for over 2 years. I did a little homework before accepting the job period. I manage his campaign and that's it. Of you look at all my posts here you'll see I'm only defending the part I have to deal with which is SIG campaign. I also don't feel like you can label the site as a scam ponzi since it has been around for 2years plus. True ponzis collapse well before then but its whatever here. You guys wanna play internet police n ruin the acct value then do what you must. I think the trust system is a joke half the time cause half have no clue and the other half trying to get noticed.

Well, yahoo seemed extra supportive of the owner and the campaign.
4664  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ore-mine explicit ponzi, ANN with collapsed report. on: January 17, 2016, 02:23:21 PM
As I said here, there's absolutely no doubt the seizure is fake. Read this in detail:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=759702.msg13583846#msg13583846
I wonder if faking that seizure notice counts legally as faking documents. I guess Sector will spend a long time in jail.

Just after I posted this of course Sector locked that thread.

Don't you think their signature campaign should be brought at halt? I mean there are members who are still advertising it and like dealing with other known ponzi schemes ,even the members of ore-mine should be asked to take down the signatures or a negative feed should be given.

Well, the DT members do tag everyone with negative's running the campaign or promoting it despite of their signature payments on time,so why we waited 2 years for this ? Have we been come to the realization now,I think care should be taken its not promoted anymore and that includes tagging neg,if that makes sense.

still can entry videos ?

need extra time maybe better closed this contest for date 17 january sir
I think in that case we all could take extra time ,he was going to cancel this contest sooner.Since we requested him not to,he continued the contest.Don't think he should extend the date or it will be partial for rest of us who managed to do stuff in time.

4675  Economy / Services / Re: [Unitaco.com] ★ Signature Campaign ★ Upto 0.0008/p on: January 14, 2016, 08:34:05 AM
Well, I don't see why they would scam. It ruins the sites rep, and all the advertising is wasted. Besides, it's only a week, not a month. I'm sure that 7 days won't kill you, and on the off chance that you don't get paid, it's not the end of the world. You lost around $4 worth of posts, they were most likely spammed anyway. I'm not saying don't use escrow but upfront might be easier for this. No fee, less hassle, etc.
Unlike you people don't make money here selling "stolen" ebooks from hack-forums,neither asking worthless loans or gambling I may add.Sorry, just trying to prove my point that $4 is actually a lot of money to some people (that includes people who  ask loans of 0.001 btc) Wink

So according to the website details, apparently "Satel Limited" is a registered legit company.Well, would have been nicer if they hired few legit developers .One of the comments from their scripts.Doesn't look that professional to me.Quite busy at the moment I will try to find out more details once I reach home.I suspect they have ripped off the code from some website.

I deliberately posted this video in the gambling section because this Statistics professor gives nice insights how probability works and the concept remains the same weather it be lottery or a jackpot. The video might motivate you a little. Wink

4679  Other / Meta / Re: Should this person be considered as scammer? on: January 13, 2016, 12:54:23 PM
If a person bids in an auction, wins it, communicates and then suddenly become incommunicado just before payment, though the person is active in the forum...
You could send him couple of PM's.Ask him to reply even though if he wants to back out ,he owes you a valid explanation. You decide if the reasons are convincing enough or just plain bullshit. At all, there were situations where he could not buy it or couldn't afford it at the moment specifically ,you could give him more time.At any instance you find out he's lying or sig spamming , as mexxer said, a neutral would do the job (that's would warn the auctioneers to not consider his bids from next time).
