Very interesting. I still use MM almost on an entirely different level, it doesn't go near my Bitcoin, but I definitely could see some usefulness some time down the line especially as some services I use are already migrating to (d)apps. Does open yet another vulnerability for the typical user though.

Snaps is the one I've never heard of before. Anyone used?

They should support hardware wallets though, because they do with Ethereum and other EVM chains.

Ledger at least I know.
4662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 15, 2022, 01:27:28 PM
Origi is a tough one to place, yeah. At first I meant to say that he definitely is a hero in the same way in which players like Luis Garcia are, but he's actually done more and on a bigger stage.

Luis Garcia was definitely one of my favourites, his glancing header in that Istanbul campaign, man, a guy for his height, he knew how to cushion headers proper -- Jota and Firmino I think have the same techniques. Caught sight of him in the recent Legends match too, oh they grey hairs but he still looks sprightly!

I'm struggling to put together an accumulator this weekend. I've only got Man United drawing, and Arsenal winning. I'm thinking the United game will be 1-1 as Norwich haven't beaten Man United in years if what I've read is true. Although, I think Pukki will penetrate that defense. Arsenal are on decent form, while Southampton are coming back after that Chelsea thumping, so think it'll be more of the same against Arsenal. The rest I don't have a clue about.

Betting terms, definitely going for another United loss/draw, Norwich seem to be showing some final-lap fight (they'll still go down) and 14/1 actually seems pretty decent.

Brighton I hope actually win, or draw, as their next match vs City @18/1 also where my money is. City will be too good on Wednesday but KdB I just read could be injured, and you never know how a team like them comes back after such a bruising game (the FA cup game tomorrow will clue us in I guess, but my pick's Liverpool... why not?).

I'm pretty sure there were some unconfirmed rumours that he was thinking of extending, something about his wife giving the go ahead? I think it came from a quote in one of his interviews, although I didn't verify it myself since I didn't want to get my hopes up. I remember on the day we signed Klopp I basically said that's the beginning of a new era, and I've never been proven so right in my life. How far we've come since he has took over is nothing short of incredible. We were basically where United are today.

Yeah, Klopp is a stubborn man, at least that's the impression I get. Coutinho used to be my favourite player, but when we were linked to him a few months back, I knew that Klopp wouldn't have him back based on how he left. It's the same as Sakho when he used to play for us, I quite liked him even over he was largely a liability for us, as soon as crossed Klopp his career was over.

I love Origi, cult hero in my book, and to be honest before we had Klopp I remember him leading the lines for quite a while, and pulling it off. Unfortunately, he probably isn't good enough for first team football, but that doesn't make me like him any less. He did the job when he needed too, and he has made some incredible memories for us Liverpool fans. To be honest, many of our players have with Origi, and Alison probably coming top of that list.

Sakho was one of my favs too at the time, specially that BVB fightback. Klopp was a fan too but yes, no fury like Klopp scorned. He rules with an iron fist and he wants players to know that, and I'm fine with that.

It's really funny when I think about some of my favourite players from that time (and as you said, even from before), for sure, Origi, I would even say Sturridge who, to his credit, really tried to play through his pain barrier for Klopp even though the German suggested his injuries were less physical than mental (and I probably agreed). We also had guys like Moreno, Lovren, Lucas and it's really cool how they still show up on Liverpool socials, clearly still in love. I know for sure they miss hearing their name and their song on the terraces.

Man Games and Rounds definitely loaded up with Sportsbet!

Right then. Now that we're done back-patting, does anyone want to offer me a friendly sidebet on Liverpool quad? Free money, given they've got to find a way to overcome the best team in the world against them in all 3 competitions left. Show me your odds. I'm happy to take up to 3 offers, nothing dangerous, 1 mbtc each?
You are offering that wager at even odds? That is a bit crazy if I understood it correctly. Not something that interests me much but in the spirit of making as much side bets as possible on bitcointalk I'll take you for it. So that means LFC takes PL, CL and both domestic cups? Fair odds should be at least 4:1 and probably much more but I don't really feel like risking that much to win just 1 mBTC. If you are ok with 2:1 odds (if you win I pay you out 2 mBTC, if you loose you pay me 1 mBTC), just quote and we are on.

Haha no, not even odds. I wanted to listen to offers.

Current odds (I choose the lowest) for Liverpool according to outright markets:
- EPL 2.88 (was 7.6 pre-season, I got a sum on this)
- FA Cup 1.9 (didn't see odds pre-contest)
- UCL 2.3 (was 8.4 pre-season, I also got a sum on this)

So that's roughly 12.5+ on an acca (but I'm surprised it's so low heh).

But in the spirit of kicking this off, I'll take your offer. 2mbtc from you if Liverpool get the quad, if not I send you 1 mbtc. 2 more offers from anyone else?

(Sorry for thread mini-hijack)

Well, Glimt's fairytale's over. And Leicester, safely through, so I guess it really will be down to Roma and Leicester -- all due respect to Marseille (Hoping I jinxed myself to see some crazy comeback from Bodoe heh).
I didn't expect to see Leicester winning after being behind with 1 goal or else x9.5 on a bet would be a great deal Cry
OM and Roma passed. Feyenoord scored 3 goals and made it through Praha.
So far Roma seems to be favorite if they continue like that. I still can't trust 100% Leicester, otherwise OM can compete these both teams.
I would say Roma > Leicester > OM > Feyenoord

I didn't expect them to even score but they got 2, full credit. They must surely be seen as one of the favourites now, along with Roma -- and again I know Marseille is also in it but they've got a lot of struggles in a poor league.

So I'm in agreement with you, though leaning to Leicester as they're probably going to manage their EPL season to win this:

Leicester > Roma > Marseille > Feyenoord.

Tornike/ampere, allow me to complete the sentence:

"BTCitcoin"

Can't wait to see which prize I'm getting heh heh.

BTW, MajSev update, Liverpool's in the mix once more, so of course, I'm going Salah (again). The guy's got to break his patch some time, right? All other games too far away of course, but I did SO well (4/7) in the last one adding my picks in as soon as they came up, so maybe there's some merit to picking with your gut, eh?

@Minman, he's been posting a quote from Satoshi Wink

"I've developed a new open source P2P e-cash system called Bitcoin."

I'm just guessing he's having some fun.
4671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 14, 2022, 02:45:27 PM
Yeah, the only problem I find with Pep is he experiments too much, especially when its key games. Although, I do respect the boldness from him, and well I guess he does have the depth. Although, I do find it annoying at times that Klopp sticks with the same tactics, and doesn't make changes to usually later on, I absolutely adore the man like any other Liverpool fan.

I do expect them to use that system again, I don't know if that'll help them overall or not, because I also expect them to drop points in the remaining games, although they probably expect the same from us considering our arguably harder fixture list. To be honest, I'm not too worried about our fixture list, I think there's a few which could be a problem, but the way we have been playing, I do expect us to win almost every single time. The City game was the only one I've really been nervous about this entire season, and I had to watch Brentford put three past us early in the season.

Yeah, it's embarrassing how I'll keep watching, if my feed shows it, Klopp doing it with the fans 30 mins after the game's ended. Whatever happens after this, however he leaves our club (and I pray he changes his mind and stays a lot longer), I don't know how I'll get over him.

Another thing I realised only recently is Klopp sticks to his changes no matter what, huh? Taking Jota off right after he scores, for example. It's probably more noticeable for me now because we've got such depth we didn't have just not too long ago.

I'm like you, I think we're the favourites every game now -- don't care the bookies don't agree. Think the only reason the odds are tilted as no one knows for sure who Klopp will start. Again, something I'm not used to because last season, the lineup was only unfamiliar because of injuries. This time, people really are fighting for a place.

Origi off to Milan, will you Reds miss him? How can we ever forget him against Barca? Credit to him, he's accepted lower wages for more football, Toons were ready to pay more than what he earned at Liverpool. Not the biggest fan of Mina and am expecting guy to also leave if we find someone else though to be fair, he has done more than his share in FA Cup, which is why we're meeting City this weekend.
4672  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Southampton FC Main Sponsor 🚀🚀 on: April 14, 2022, 02:05:19 PM
^ nice catch on CS:GO, now if only I could bring myself to watch heh.

I do agree that we are here for just the lulz to be fair, I mean sportsbet.io is part of it as well and that's why they collected all of us here. Steve is the king of lulz and he provides so much for us as well, he is a cool guy. When the bookie you use is a place that likes to have un instead of purely focus on the matches, you end up with gamblers like that as well.

I have been doing fine up until a few weeks ago to be fair, if you look at from September to today, I am probably in profit and that's fine, I could have a bad stretch and lose and that would be fine, who cares if I end up losing right now if the overall is in profit. However, I do hope that it doesn't go on for too long.

Maybe it's Thursday (the days are a blur for me) but feel like you couldn't have said it better. Here for the lulz, and it's been one hell of a ride so far, not to mention profitable. I haven't done my calculations, but I'm definitely well in the black [just looking at Soccer Blackjack alone, I almost checked it daily, probably only missed a couple]. Then there's the intangible wins I'd really never have done on my own if not for this damned Sportsbet: watching Liverpool in Doha, among others.

Right then. Now that we're done back-patting, does anyone want to offer me a friendly sidebet on Liverpool quad? Free money, given they've got to find a way to overcome the best team in the world against them in all 3 competitions left. Show me your odds. Good stuff, remember, always document!

To add: hate being the guy pouring water on the blanket but you'd probably need to really identify who you want to train, not just 30 youths. Might benefit some people more to learn coding (I wish I knew it better) or even fundamentals of economics before getting into Bitcoin (the why is probably as important as the how).

Not that any kind of effort will go to waste! Just thinking back about past big projects that seem to have lost steam (training girls in Afghanistan, etc.), and perhaps they might have been a bit more sustainable with better targeting.
Maybe yet perhaps not! Locating the right audience for this project has been the major challenge for me right now, as most of the youths that have shown interest I discovered are not motivated to learn and gain the knowledge but rather want a quick way out of the financial brouhaha. My most interest is in the sustainability of the program to give a long term solutions to the knowledge bankruptcy in the youth on cryptography.

Precisely why you can't afford to do this without proper targeting/planning. If it even ends up you find 2 or 3 who meet the requirements, it might actually be better to spend 3 times as much on 3 times as few, and actually get people with real motivation, real interest, and real potential to use the knowledge to spread it on. I generally think education is great too but when you're not a government and you don't have the resources, you've to be smart with using it so it has sustainable and effective impacts.

Good luck again, share back when you can, when you've landed on the firm prospects. Might even throw something in myself if I like the project.

All bets are off, we're really just spectators to new behaviour.

Yeah, we've even hit as high as $48k in the recent run so it's very close to his conservative estimates.

But this seems to be short term though, the next 2 quarters might be different scenario that his predictions might not be applicable anymore.

So yes, all bets are off after that, if it is a hit or miss, then its because a new pattern has emerge.

Yeah, when I said he was being conservative, I meant he was being safe, aka, he might as well just have come to this forum and seen that it's the general feeling we're in a rangebound market for the next few weeks/months. I see we're back above 40k support but not very convincingly, no new discernible pattern for me, and I'm doubtful any kind of TA can really unearth anything different. Oh well =)

HA arallmuus I guess eventually books have to play by the rules as well. With recognition and legitimacy also comes responsibility, too bad really -- but I'd reach out anyway if there's a promo you badly want to play.

Don't forget also there's a new 4-3-free and Bet-free-6-6 up. I went for Atletico win, 3 goals (thinking 2-1), and late 1st half card.
4677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's UEFA Champions League Football Preditor Pool Discussion thread on: April 13, 2022, 03:51:30 PM
^Ah I didn't even realise there was a VAR disallowed goal till I read, they'll definitely feel hard done by, and I know I always rate Real in UCL (experience and game management are big factors for me) but feel like Chelsea offer the better chance of facing up to City -- of course, I'm not ruling Atletico out. If there's a team than can outdo Villareal shithousery, it's them. I absolutely can't stand it when my team's facing it, but it's good footballing fun to see them to it to your rivals... of course, our reward if we navigate past Benfica is to have another go at that but I think we'll take a lot of lessons from meeting Atletico twice already.

4678  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Southampton FC Main Sponsor 🚀🚀 on: April 13, 2022, 02:49:17 PM
Re UCL, I toyed with a Villareal+Real to progress acca last night, but it was all in my head. Now with a fresh balance on SB, am already doing shopping Wink

Sporsbet now sends an Email when you make the deposit. Not really needed in my case since BTC deposits are instant and I am just using BTC but I can see how it can be useful for some other currencies. Now when I think about it, it is strange this was not available earlier, since it is sort of standard to let you know about deposits on all crypto sites.

@Sportsbet
Keep up the good work, even small changes like this show that site is constantly developing. Best way to stay on top.

Just saw it today as well, even got the access location and time recorded, and well said. It's actually pretty common for most services I use but not everyone does it-- and I think the rationale several years ago was when confirmations did tend to take a long time (and places would only credit you with 1 confirmation), something I just overlook now, definitely useful for record-keeping.

Now if SB did a more detailed tx history with simple balance tracking on selected duration would be cool (so you don't have to click load more to see the whole history too!).
4679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: April 13, 2022, 12:19:20 PM
I think I missed this, where's the freebets from?

Clubtalk Radio. You've to just be alert on the chat channel. Need to say something usually to participate. Then the freebet requirement is aired and if it hits, everyone who participated gets the freebet. Usually it's an event. 7 goals+ scored, or BTTS, or corners.

Is this promotions geo-restricted ?
In fact I dont think that my account have had any promotions updated since the last King Kaka news as their global ambassador appeared dang

I guess it is, man, sorry to hear. Think a few of you guys already mentioned some promos are missing (and I know I don't always see certain niche promos that others do) so we just gotta live with it.
4680  Economy / Speculation / Re: Galaxy CEO analyzes possible behavior of Bitcoin on: April 13, 2022, 10:35:40 AM
30-50k range sounds like the most conservative estimate, so he's really just gone safe, regardless of external circumstances (inflation, conflict, supply/production disruption).

Short-term sentiment's pretty fragile. April early birds were looking forward to 50k, but the 40k support didn't hold, and it's still a thin membrane we're treading on this week.

All bets are off, we're really just spectators to new behaviour.
