Well, I guess I got to be happy, probably on balance the fair result, Fabinho's passing was poor, Trent was too determined to score (that long range attempt when any other day he passes), my heart was really suffering the entire game.
Lost all my big ML outlays, haha, but well, the race is still on. But yeah, that's how football matches should be. Not fun for the half of the fans half of the time, but glad it served up everything it promised.
I need a long rest!

I lost my real money bet on Liverpool but on the pool I got it as an exact score,I thought Liverpool would win tonight and so I bet on them to win but I thought if they don't win to have them as a draw in the pool as I was firmly convinced that the would not lose this game as a bare minimum.
On a side note I didn't expect this round to be 3rd in the rankings after starting so bad yesterday,it just shows that anything is possible in the Premier League and consequently the standings here in the pool.

Seems like Manchester City have a little better fixture to the end of the season, but they have now 2 games in a row that can be very damaging for the moral of the team if you lose.
One for UCL against Atletico Madrid 13/04 and agaisnt Liverpool again for FA cup 16/4. In this times its when a lot of people say (and with reason) the English association didnt help his teams, how you can put 3 day away of the UCL a semifianl of the FA cup.

I went with City to win 2-1, and I really knew the chances of a draw, but I wasn't trying to jinx myself (I did eventually), I ended up with just 6 points at the end of the week and gradually losing my grip on the top 10.

in the end, Good looked over Liverpool teams, but blue ones were closer to his heart maybe it is because red ones looked more for him/her/it, and blue ones fought for points, rare event this season and he/she/it was also looking to yellow/green ones, that won over Burnley, to keep blue ones safe from relegation

. One person got the score correct as well there's always an user who predicts a big upset every week, eh? i remember last week it was leea1334 with the Crystal Palace win against the gunners And this week the only one who picked Everton AND got the exact score. Play a few more rounds like that leea you might yellow cap and break Top 10 ha! Thank you for the words I indeed took a yellow cap, which was what I was aiming for every round now,,, as you can see my pool position is too far but winning yellow caps are good enough! Me like Trofo very happy to get another exact with 2-2 but this was actually 'easy' to predict,,, I just copied the last game result between the 2 of them. If I am not mistaken in the Anfield game, they were the ones who took the lead two times and equalized by City, this time different. I guess you could say this is a true example of both teams trying to win and sharing everything in the end. Worthy top 2 teams for sure, Chelsea unfortunately can only dream of being like them consistently. Spurs? Forget it for now.

Yeah well done on the yellow cap leea. Bloody deserved. in the end, Good looked over Liverpool teams, but blue ones were closer to his heart maybe it is because red ones looked more for him/her/it, and blue ones fought for points, rare event this season

That's okay, it was always going to be tough, and I think if you asked most Reds before the season started if they'd take ending 1 point behind City after 31 games, most of them (probably myself included) would. Seems like Manchester City have a little better fixture to the end of the season, but they have now 2 games in a row that can be very damaging for the moral of the team if you lose.

On the other hand, win those two and City will probably cruise to the end. Odds on the FA Cup semi even heavier on Liverpool, and I'm not sure I've got much gas left in the tank to bet, but I'll do all I can to haha. English FA is mad, we all know that

I'm still delusional quietly confident we'll do it despite the harder fixture list. Although, we were absolutely awful for the first half, and could have, and probably should have conceded more. However, I'm using the fact that one of the goals we conceded had a massive deflection, while I think both of our goals were pretty well worked. So, yeah it was a bad day at the office, we didn't turn up until the second half, which was pretty balanced, and I thought we had the upper hand for the majority of it, but Man City turned up with one of the best performances I've seen of the season from them, so I take a little bit of comfort knowing while we didn't exactly turn up for the whole game, we still got something from it.

2-2 seems like most fair result to me. You were very week in defense beginning of the match, there was so many great crosses behind LFC defense. City could have scored a couple and decided the match there. I still don't know how Sterling did not score that first chance, kudos to Alisson. Liverpool got out in second half furious and that was your chance to maybe put one hand on 3 points. All in all great game for us neutrals and it could have gone each way.

My thoughts precisely on the first goal. Such an early setback, Alisson did his best but you just get those impossible-to-block deflections every now and then, but both our goals were class. We've been playing more consistently than City, they gambled with a striker for the first time in months and got reward, wonder if Pep will stick with it, but we can always count on him to tinker and (hopefully) consequently, drop points. yeah, I guess that Liverpool was not major favorite in the beginning, but somehow closer to title than City, IMO nevertheless, I am more looking to relegation fight this season, and I am sure that we would not accept having four points above relegation zone before season start but overall, I cannot believe that Arsenal lost their match on weekend, what a bang-head for them Yeah, I still got a pre-season 76/10 bet waiting all by its lonesome self heh. Everton will make it, too classy not to, and you got to play your first games in new stadium in top flight (better be worth losing Heritage status for ha ha).

Fabinho's passing was a bit poor unlike he's previous games, failed to take the tackle on Kelvin De B which eventually lead to that deflected effort from him. They are indeed the better side, they caused more harm, recoverd more balls, and defended very well than Liverpool, takea a good look and you will see how both Salah and Sadio Mane was kept at arm length in the game. Walker, Rodrigo, and Cancelo indeed played bigger role in the game, Much of a good composure from Van Dirk under pressure, full game was controled and played in the middle by Manchester City. Pretty good too see the score leveled for Liverpool, FA Cup on Saturday then.
Fabinho was really poor, I agree. But if you look at how the game was set up - it was actually brilliantly done by Guardiola. He put Jesus and Sterling narrow to run behind Van Dijk and Matip and dropped Foden to play in line with De Bruyne - often leaving Fabinho isolated and having to close down 2 players of such quality. With both Walker and Cancelo playing wide in a classical '4 at the back' system, the Liverpool full backs could not provide support as well. He was bound to have a bad game and there was nothing Liverpool could have done to help him. If you take into account the quality that both KDB and Foden have - defending one of them is barely possible. 2 at the same time? Nope. Therefore, I think our midfield did a great job - Henderson was especially good in helping him to close down space and remain compact in defence.

Hopefully next round gets me close to the top All the upcoming remaining rounds are crucial to the guys in the top 10,usually we will have weeks round during the weekend and there are about 6 weeks more to go or 7 if we maybe count the postponed matches so there is a lot to play for,a single good round can make you pass positions equal to a bad round can make you drop positions, both ways significantly.I am just 15 points away from the top 10 out from nowhere as I was way more behind but I don't pretend to fight for it,I just fill my predictions mostly for fun now.

Yeah, the only problem I find with Pep is he experiments too much, especially when its key games. Although, I do respect the boldness from him, and well I guess he does have the depth. Although, I do find it annoying at times that Klopp sticks with the same tactics, and doesn't make changes to usually later on, I absolutely adore the man like any other Liverpool fan. I do expect them to use that system again, I don't know if that'll help them overall or not, because I also expect them to drop points in the remaining games, although they probably expect the same from us considering our arguably harder fixture list. To be honest, I'm not too worried about our fixture list, I think there's a few which could be a problem, but the way we have been playing, I do expect us to win almost every single time. The City game was the only one I've really been nervous about this entire season, and I had to watch Brentford put three past us early in the season.

Yeah, it's embarrassing how I'll keep watching, if my feed shows it, Klopp doing it with the fans 30 mins after the game's ended. Whatever happens after this, however he leaves our club (and I pray he changes his mind and stays a lot longer), I don't know how I'll get over him. Another thing I realised only recently is Klopp sticks to his changes no matter what, huh? Taking Jota off right after he scores, for example. It's probably more noticeable for me now because we've got such depth we didn't have just not too long ago. I'm like you, I think we're the favourites every game now -- don't care the bookies don't agree. Think the only reason the odds are tilted as no one knows for sure who Klopp will start. Again, something I'm not used to because last season, the lineup was only unfamiliar because of injuries. This time, people really are fighting for a place. Origi off to Milan, will you Reds miss him? How can we ever forget him against Barca? Credit to him, he's accepted lower wages for more football, Toons were ready to pay more than what he earned at Liverpool. Not the biggest fan of Mina and am expecting guy to also leave if we find someone else though to be fair, he has done more than his share in FA Cup, which is why we're meeting City this weekend.

I'm struggling to put together an accumulator this weekend. I've only got Man United drawing, and Arsenal winning. I'm thinking the United game will be 1-1 as Norwich haven't beaten Man United in years if what I've read is true. Although, I think Pukki will penetrate that defense. Arsenal are on decent form, while Southampton are coming back after that Chelsea thumping, so think it'll be more of the same against Arsenal. The rest I don't have a clue about. Yeah, it's embarrassing how I'll keep watching, if my feed shows it, Klopp doing it with the fans 30 mins after the game's ended. I'm pretty sure there were some unconfirmed rumours that he was thinking of extending, something about his wife giving the go ahead? I think it came from a quote in one of his interviews, although I didn't verify it myself since I didn't want to get my hopes up. I remember on the day we signed Klopp I basically said that's the beginning of a new era, and I've never been proven so right in my life. How far we've come since he has took over is nothing short of incredible. We were basically where United are today. Yeah, Klopp is a stubborn man, at least that's the impression I get. Coutinho used to be my favourite player, but when we were linked to him a few months back, I knew that Klopp wouldn't have him back based on how he left. It's the same as Sakho when he used to play for us, I quite liked him even over he was largely a liability for us, as soon as crossed Klopp his career was over. I love Origi, cult hero in my book, and to be honest before we had Klopp I remember him leading the lines for quite a while, and pulling it off. Unfortunately, he probably isn't good enough for first team football, but that doesn't make me like him any less. He did the job when he needed too, and he has made some incredible memories for us Liverpool fans. To be honest, many of our players have with Origi, and Alison probably coming top of that list.

Origi is a tough one to place, yeah. At first I meant to say that he definitely is a hero in the same way in which players like Luis Garcia are, but he's actually done more and on a bigger stage. I always liked him, I was really excited when we signed him and he's had his periods with us. Unfortunately though, he simply didn't grow enough with this team and it has surpassed him - he is our 6th or 7th attacking option in this moment. I do hope he revives his career, he's a guy who never complains and does give his all when you put him in a game and will be remembered as a cult hero in my book. After all - football without Origi is nothing

Lee out if nowhere got the yellow cap and congrats on that, not easy being the best for the week.
What do you mean out of nowhere. I think this is his 2nd yellow cap? Although overall he has a long long way to go for at least top 10. I once was not even in top 30 couple months ago. But lately seeing myself in the top 10 feels a bit better. Still a long way to go for me as well. A bad round can drop me down but I really need a massive round. Tomorrow is match day. So if you are still waiting to make your picks, do it until it's too late. I can assure all that I have missed some matches just because I was waiting for few minutes before the kick off. Now I do a rough pick and if I get time then before kick off I review my picks. Safer.
