4701  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you use BTCPay Server, don't you? Why? on: June 18, 2021, 01:08:13 AM

Thanks for commenting, here we go:

When I asked "Is BTCPay's communication with your online site communicating well?"

You practically answered part of the question I had, since I work at an ecommerce that uses BTCPay, but as soon as the blockchain is confirmed (it is configured as 1-conf required), the BTCPay within the listed invoices confirms the order, but nothing is changed inside the woocommerce store.

We've tried everything, it's set for the order to be changed to "Processing" as soon as you get 1 confirmation in the settings, but nothing happens.

I'm looking to know if anyone is experiencing the same problem and how they solved it.

So you mean you tried to send for one order and got 1 confirmation but nothings happen? It should be marked as paid unless you send a different amount lower than the ask amount from the invoice? If that is the case the invoice status will show "partially paid" if you pay less than the ask amount.

If it doesn't show anything even you paid it in full then there might be conflict from your setup. Do you have some kind of cache plugin? Try to clear the cache first or disable it temporarily to test.
4702  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Which Python Package for automating BTC-tx? [required: OP_RETURN and Testnet] on: June 17, 2021, 05:57:32 PM
Try to check this one below

I just found it when searching on the forum here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=970295.msg10594340#msg10594340

I don't know if you can automate it but it's a python package.
4703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How do i recover my bitcoins for an address? on: June 17, 2021, 05:22:42 PM
I had use the ledger nano to sync with the core using the experimental feature before, but to download over that 356gb for the bitcoin core to sync again on my new laptop is a hassle.

So your wallet was generated with ledger nano using Bitcoin core?

Like the above said it takes so much time before you can get the correct missing 5 words it takes years so which one is a hassle? is to fully sync the Bitcoin core in your laptop or to brute-force the seed phrase to recover the 5 missing words?

Since you still have the ledger you can still have a chance to get access to your old wallet but your option is to install the Bitcoin core to your new laptop and wait for a couple of days to be fully synced. The syncing speed depends on the laptop specs but you can improve the syncing process by switching to SSD and increase the ram.
4704  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How can I create an OP_RETURN TX with the Electrum console? on: June 17, 2021, 04:09:04 PM
I already tried it before looking for a way to make OP_return works on the console when creating transactions in Electrum but no success. It seems they don't support it but works on payto in the GUI.

What actually do you want to achieve?

Alternatively, you can make a transaction on https://coinb.in/#newTransaction with an advanced option to enable OP_return and sign and broadcast the transaction through Electrum.
4705  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Way to know number of multisig if you did not set it up? on: June 17, 2021, 02:14:03 AM
Thanks to all for the info. Turns out it was 2 of 3 not 3 of 4 which was what threw him off he saw 2of3 but everyone way telling him 3 of 4 so he figured it was something else.
So, no he is not touching it till it's redone and all the funds moved. Now the question is was it an honest mistake or was someone planning to run with the BTC.

-Dave

So you mean that all BTC are stolen? or you mean the funds are move to that multisig wallet?

If you mean that it was moved to that multisig wallet that's not a problem they can repeat the procedure and make a new multisig 3 of 4.

We can't say if it was a mistake or someone trying to run the BTC but it's impossible that he can run all of those BTC maybe partially he can extract some BTC since he holds one of the seed of the 2 of 3 multisig wallet.
4706  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you use BTCPay Server, don't you? Why? on: June 16, 2021, 11:57:20 PM

Who has used Wordpress with BTCPay working correctly in your store?
Based on my experienced BTCpayserver is working fine it is one of the best payment processors for BTC and for Wordpress.
But only tried it with 3rd party because I can't afford to run a whole node, it's working well on my old store selling digital products.

Are orders being processed in Woocommerce as soon as blockchain confirmation occurs?
Depends on you if how much confirmation you want to set before you release the product.

Are BTCPay's communication with your online site communicating well?

What do you mean? Is it the BTCpay support? they have it on their official site but I didn't try to contact them.

Anyway, there is another option as a payment processor you can also try blockonomics they are also an awesome processor for Woocommerce.

You can find more payment gateway here https://github.com/alexk111/awesome-bitcoin-payment-processors
4707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How do i recover my bitcoins for an address? on: June 16, 2021, 11:22:33 PM

Which one do you want to recover?

I think what he wants is to recover the wallet with balances which is the Bitcoin core wallet.dat.

Unless if he wants to recover the Ledger but 5 missing words are not easy to recover it takes so much time before you can recover your old wallet from the ledger nano.

However, if the ledger nano doesn't have balance he just wants to reuse the wallet to transfer the recovered balance from the bitcoin core wallet then he can hard reset the ledger nano and recreate a new wallet.
4708  Economy / Exchanges / Re: need help trading on binance on: June 16, 2021, 05:17:47 PM
There is no official thread for day trading here on the forum what actually do you want to know?
Most of the day traders out there doing 1minute scalping if you want to know how to do it there is a guide on youtube you can follow that you can apply on Binance exchange.

You can find it here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juZlrecsIts

There are many threads here that talk about day trading but not all are trading on Binance.
I can link a few of them check them below.

4709  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where could I buy BTC in Germany? on: June 16, 2021, 02:15:17 PM
I tried to search on Google most of the suggested site where you can buy BTC in Germany is bitcoin.de and Kraken.
Source from here https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/elpvqr/best_way_to_buy_bitcoin_in_germany/

But try to ask someone on Germany local section from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=16.0/
4710  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Serious bug binance I have balance but I can't use it (bnb token) on: June 15, 2021, 11:59:37 PM

still not work and no support

Have you used P2P exchange in the Binance?

It seems the other BNB are locked if all suggestion above still doesn't work it might be locked and maybe you trade recently with P2P and then you didn't release the asset?
That is why the other BNB does not show on the OTC portal that's what I think the issue why it does not show the whole amount.

BNB under wallet overview

If that's the image, it was a bug because there is a weird thing under fiat and spot wallet on overview. Mine even I have BNB in my wallet it doesn't show BNB on that place look below

4711  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Can I use a 12 word seed extension and store it separately? on: June 15, 2021, 10:52:39 PM

I never mentioned anything about another wallet owner. This thread is regarding a single owner setup.

Well, you can do that as well on Multisig wallet.
Just generate a standard wallet and make a backup of that 12-word seed and also the master public key. Now make a Multisig "2 of 2" wallets it will generate a new 12 words seed and then paste the master public key on "Enter consigner key". After successfully generated you must have a wallet with two 12 words seed phrase.

You can follow the guide from my post above to make a single setup wallet. Make sure you have a backup of them for future recovery.
4712  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Can I use a 12 word seed extension and store it separately? on: June 15, 2021, 10:31:31 PM
My reasoning is: if my 12 words are compromised via a physical intrusion, the extension stored in a separate location will guarantee that my wallet is not compromised. Simply splitting the 12 words in half and storing 6 words separately makes a brute force attack easier (I think). That is why I ask.

So you mean you want them to split and have two seeds generated for two owners of the wallet?

The extension is not actually your best choice for this the only solution for this is Multisig wallet with 2 of 2 multisig consists of 2 separate wallets
it will generate P2SH addresses after successfully generated a Multisig wallet.
I never heard someone was hacked or brute force by using MultiSig wallet so I'm sure this is the best option you looking for?
The only problem is that the transaction fees from this wallet are pretty expensive compared to the normal wallet that's the only disadvantage of this wallet but if your purpose is to make a wallet secured with a co-owner then MultiSig still the best option.

If you want to make a Multisigwallet you can follow this guide below

4713  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to keep yourself out of the market? on: June 15, 2021, 07:11:36 PM
I agree with ChrisPop actually I bought shib inu when it was the first time listed on Binance the value increase so fast in a couple of hours then suddenly the price drop. I didn't expect that it will drop so fast after the massive price pump. So it is the same as what happens in the Coinbase exchange after they listed this token on Coinbase that's normal to any token/project listed on big exchanges.

However, I don't still trust any new project to invest and actually, it's hard to predict/analyze without enough data.

I lost almost -74.07% according to my portfolio with this token I'm glad that I didn't invested so much in this project but I still holding them and stick with their promise. My bad I didn't set any stop limit to avoid loss. But next time if I see another new promising project and buy on early-stage I won't be greedy if I already made even just 10%.
4714  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: listreceivedbyaddress vs listaddressgroupings on: June 15, 2021, 05:34:44 PM
~snip~

Can you try it again but this time add this setting on the Bitcoin.conf file

Code:
server=1

Then use the command again but this time with bitcoind

Code:
bitcoind listreceivedbyaddress 0 true

Just reading their API calls here
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Original_Bitcoin_client/API_calls_list

I found in the description to use the bitcoind.

Let see if it will work
4715  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: how do i set up a bitcoin miner? on: June 15, 2021, 04:15:48 PM
If you use the title as your keyword in Google then it will lead you to a guide for building mining rig or GPU miner it's not actually a miner for Bitcoin they are mining altcoin but paid out in BTC.

If you want to mine Bitcoin you will need ASIC machines that support SHA256 algo if you don't have ASIC machines then you can't able to mine bitcoin even you have a super computer.

Check this list of ASIC machines below it includes profitability and only check the SHA256 algo miner.

ASIC miner is easy to set up just put your pool and ready to mine and if you directly bought a ASIC machines from manufacturer they will also include the documentation and guide on how to use the miner.
4716  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unconfirmed transaction - visualization on: June 15, 2021, 02:10:00 PM
I think you talking about blockchain Visualization where all transactions are all graphical/animated transactions?

There are 3 working tools that I know you can check these

I got that source from my old bookmark that you can find here https://github.com/xpfio/awesome-blockchain-visualisation
4717  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: - - BITCOIN - Smooth Trader :-)) - - on: June 14, 2021, 11:53:21 PM
Margin is not usually recommended ... but understand your point .. thank you.

Going higher ? ... When ? .... for sure not until my chart shows solid signs of turning action ... and probably will trigger a Buy Signal ... till then IT'S SHORT !

Actually, it shows the solid price increase today from $31k to $40k but there is no sign that it might rise more I'm not an expert trader but possible the price can be increased more since the price movement this year is slightly different from the old chart around 2017-2018 every end of block halving.

Short is the good option for now but no one knows if it might be increased and touch again back to $50k the Bitcoin price movement these days is totally not the same as what happened in the past every block halving. My guess this is the chart your following before you play on the uptrends. We don't know what will be the dip price of bitcoin every bull run the dip price of bitcoin is different from the old bull market so $30k might be the cheapest price.
4718  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: listreceivedbyaddress vs listaddressgroupings on: June 14, 2021, 11:35:20 AM
Have you read the bitcoin core documentation?

If not yet read them here
- https://developer.bitcoin.org/reference/rpc/index.html

About "listreceivedbyaddress" read this https://developer.bitcoin.org/reference/rpc/listreceivedbyaddress.html
According to documentation, it is "List balances by receiving address."

And for "listaddressgroupings" read them here https://developer.bitcoin.org/reference/rpc/listaddressgroupings.html
According to documentation about this command:
"Lists groups of addresses which have had their common ownership made public by common use as inputs or as the resulting change in past transactions"

Based on what I understand about listaddressgroupings the returning result must be the addresses with inputs or past transactions that exist on the mainnet blockchain meaning if you use this command and the target address doesn't have inputs or past transaction it won't show anything.

For listreceivedbyaddress I think it only shows the total amount received of the target address and shows the confirmations of the recent transaction.
I got this on "listreceivedbyaddress"

I don't know if it's a bug, but i tried same thing on regtest using Bitcoin Core 0.21.1. But command listreceivedbyaddress never shows correct amount even if i use different parameter

Code:
listreceivedbyaddress
listreceivedbyaddress 0
listreceivedbyaddress 0 true
listreceivedbyaddress 0 true "the_address"

Can you try this command below?

Code:
bitcoin-cli listreceivedbyaddress 0 true true '"replacethiswiththetargetaddress"'

Don't remove the quotes.
4719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: My transaction has been unconfirmed for over 12 hours because of low fees on: June 14, 2021, 12:08:25 AM
I tried resync error so I'll reindex and start all over. Thanks

Can you try to use "-zapwallettxes" to remove those unconfirmed transactions or to clear up your core wallet.

You can put that on the bitcoin core shortcut under properties>target put it at the end and then reopen the bitcoin core again.

It should be clear and the amount you sent recently should back to your balances. Now you can create another transaction this time make sure you are connected to the internet before you press the send button.

4720  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Transfer from binance.us to binance.com on: June 13, 2021, 11:41:26 PM
Thank you for the input. Ok, so for what i understand i can have both accounts. Buy using .us and transfer to .com and operate in .com using the vpn.

Thanks a lot

Actually, they force US users from Binance.com to use Binance.us they only allow to transfer funds from Binance.com to Binance.us but they don't allow to transfer from Binance.us to Binance.com.

If you want to transfer something from Binance.us I suggest you convert or exchange them for other coins to get cheap fees and send it to another wallet and then transfer them to Binance.com.

Or withdraw your bitcoin and use a mixer and transfer them to Binance.com so that they can't track your transaction.
