4721  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CriptoDebit.com is a scam on: June 03, 2022, 04:13:53 PM
Thank you for your concern. However, we are not the same company nor the people behind CD,  we have however bought some intellectual property from them in the U.K. As far as we know, they only had some hosting issues. The information we received was that everybody was compensated.

Can you share more details with us, please? As CD is still an operating company.
Hello mister Liar Pinocchio.
I posted everything about your previous domain and scam operation in public, but you already know about that very well and you can read again to refresh your memory.
Why are you deleting my comments on your topic, and how is that you are so familiar with issues CryptoDebit scammers had if you are new in forum, and you know so much information about this scam?
4722  Economy / Scam Accusations / Virtual Mastercard Cards - SATOSCARD CryptoDebit SCAM on: June 03, 2022, 04:03:28 PM
Warning for everyone to avoid wasting money on SATOSCARD SCAM!
They are deleting my comments on their self-moderated topic, so I created one for free conversation.

This is just rinse and repeat scam that was previously called CriptoDebit and they offered scam debit cards with same model.

Hi Bitcoin Talkers,

We are SATOS a Virtual Debit Mastercard that can be used anywhere where Mastercard is accepted. You can buy unlimited virtual card with over 90 cryptocurrencies and via Coinbase.

Check out our official website: https://satoscard.com

(P.s. We are new here, so we are still exploring the BitcoinTalk Forum functionalities)

Beware everyone, CriptoDebit scam is back with new domain and slight redesign of their website theme, but they are using exact same scam model with scam debit cards without kyc verification.
New member SATOSCARD created self-moderated topic, because they are trying to avoid what happened last time when I exposed them in early stages of their scam.

Archived their pages can be compared with their old ones and you can clearly see similarities and use of same images and text:

Ne razumijem zašto se forsira Discord za ova natjecanja, što nisu mogli to organizirati na forumu?!
Ne znam pravi razlog, možda zato jer je lakše glasati klikom, ali to je možda jedina stvar koja trenutno održava bitcointalk discord kanal u životu.
Nedavno smo imali nešto slično na forumu, i nije to lako organizirati i izbrojati sve kako treba, bez varanja.
Možda ti imaš neku bolju ideju Wink
4725  Other / Meta / Re: How to change a text font within the forum on: June 03, 2022, 03:19:15 PM
I would like to ask how to change the font text of Bitcointalk from its default text?
You can do that in Brave browser settings, and I think they changed something including default font settings in last few releases.
Changing font is the same like for Chrome browser, in Appearance tab click on Customize Fonts and select fonts you like most.
I did some search on internet and it appears that Brave Shield is affecting fonts making them look weird, and there is github issue reported 8 days ago, so this may be connected with your issue:
https://github.com/brave/brave-browser/issues/23093

PS
I can confirm fonts do look different in Brave browser for me as well, and it seems to be affected by fingerprint blocking.
4726  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: SeedSigner: Review on: June 03, 2022, 02:30:51 PM
For anyone who is interested to test how SeedSigner wallet works, without actually purchasing RaspberryPi and other hardware elements, you can try testing SeedSigner elmulator.
This is working on desktop computers for all operating systems (windows/linux/mac) and I saw someone was able to install it on old android smartphone.
Code is released on github by enteropositivo:

4727  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Private Project: Crypto-Safe.io on: June 03, 2022, 02:02:56 PM
What would you suggest as I can improve the whole thing? Make the code open source?
Sure, making it open source would be much better, but that doesn't mean it's automatically better just because it has open source code.

I copied the privacy policy and terms of use from the Internet and did not write them myself Cheesy
Amateur move  Tongue
Now you could face accusations for plagiarism, so I would suggest that you change that and write your own terms and policy that matches services you are offering.
You can't just copy paste random text stuff found on internet, without single explanation how your service and wallets really works.
Having something like this fully centralized and controlled by single entity is a big NO for me.
4728  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor hacked (again) on: June 03, 2022, 01:55:36 PM
I agree that I wouldn't feel confident in the quality of my wallet seed if I'd need to boost subpar entropy with a freaking complex passphrase. You have to type it from time to time, copy&paste in hot wallet space isn't the best idea for such precious secrets.
I can't even imagine typing all this ''strong long passphrase'' with special characters on hardware wallets like ledger or trezor model T, and you have to do this on devices only.
Since there are no wrong passphrases, a single mistake you make while typing would create new blank wallet with zero balance each time  Cheesy
This would be nominated as most frustrating hardware wallet for sure.

Agreed. There should always be a balance between security and convenience.
But example you gave us before had multiple special characters and I wouldn't say this was balance between security and convenience Wink

4729  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Private Project: Crypto-Safe.io on: June 03, 2022, 01:35:04 PM
Sorry, but I would NEVER use your website for storing any of my passwords or bitcoin wallets, and I have good reason for that.
After reading your privacy policy and terms of use, I saw that you can at any time ask users for their personal information like Name, Date of birth, Social media profiles, Phone number, Home or Work address, payment information, etc.
You are collecting all those information along with users IP address and you can share with with any third parties you want...
There is no information about bitcoin wallets you are creating with Bitcoin Core node, but I suspect those wallets are custodial for users, or you have some control over keys.

If I need to use password generator there are great open source alternatives like KeePass and I don't have to send them any of my personal information, same goes for bitcoin wallets like Electrum or my own Bitcoin Core node.
4730  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Forget about exchanger search! Use BestChange! on: June 03, 2022, 01:21:34 PM
Unavailable – when the rates of an exchanger are temporarily unavailable due to technical issues.
Is this technical issues on your side or something is wrong with original exchange website?
I tried contacting support for one of the websites that was unavailable on BestChange website and I couldn't get a clear answer from their support.
Maybe they don't speak english language very well, but I asked them a clear question, so there is no reason to avoid answering me.

4731  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: June 03, 2022, 01:09:47 PM
This new way is terrible, seems like anyone can make DT. Back in the day when it was 12 users or whatnot, DT meant alot. I agree something needed to change, but 100 DT1 users is crazy. We need to hold an election or something and elect 20 users for DT1.
Only 20 DT1 members for forum that has thousands of active users (and millions of registered) is not good, and it would look more like a closed cult or a sect of specially elected users.
I agree that current DT system needs to be improved maybe most for DT2 members, but I wouldn't reduce DT1 members five times.
Better number would be 50 DT1 members that is 50% reduction, and I would increase number of inclusions for DT2 members like LoyceV suggested.
It would be interesting to add something like activity strength that would reduce your DT level if you are inactive, and increase it if you are active user.
4732  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor hacked (again) on: June 02, 2022, 09:00:25 PM
Interestingly, predictable or predefined seed phrases could theoretically have been "strengthened" by users by adding very complex passphrases so that a hacker couldn't get access to funds. However, considering that the passphrase function had also been altered, compromised seed phrases with added passphrases remained vulnerable to attack.
I don't think this would work because this scammers also changed passphrase function that is not working correctly in this altered Trezor devices, so you would only have false sense of better security.
Not to mention that using very long passphrase (on normal trezor device) is a bad idea, because you would have to enter this long passphrase every time for each transaction you make Tongue
4733  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: SeedSigner: Review on: June 02, 2022, 08:54:37 PM
I ordered it from gobrrr.
First time I heard about gobrrr website was in bitcointalk forum and I think they have very good prices for everything, especially when we know how hard is to find Raspberry Pi with lower prices on other websites.

Yep, but I thought the default would be a better option. Proved wrong.
There is nothing wrong with Orange Pill case and you can change it anytime if you do it carefully.
I prefer printing my own case with custom colors with freely available .STL files.

Which thing isn't random nor secure exactly? Pi's RNG? urandom?
Any device that have RNG option is not really generating true random results that can't be reproduced, that is why we have TRNG,
but wallets like trezor are trying to fix this with mixing multiple sources to create better random value, that is still not good in my opinion.
4734  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Thoughts on burner addresses on: June 02, 2022, 08:41:44 PM
In my opinion it does not make sense, since the value is destroyed and not transferred to the other project even if it might seem like it in the first place. Also there could be an option built into the bitcoin network to burn coins, but actually insert them into blocks to be redistributed to the miners. What are your thoughts on this?
There is no good reason why you should give miners any coins for free, and burn addresses is a good concept in my opinion.
It's the similar thing like if you wanted to burn and destroy paper money for any reason, making it unusable in future, we have same thing here with Bitcoin.
This only makes Bitcoin more valuable because it reduces real circulating supply of coins and it increases value and demand for Bitcoin.
4735  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: MS Word vulnerability could lead to stealing your bitcoins on: June 02, 2022, 08:28:06 PM
Is it a real risk, or an exaggeration?
Using any microsoft programs like wiNd0ws os and ms office package with words is always a risk and they are known to be full of bugs, and most exploits work only in wiNd0ws.
Instead of doing various gymnastics to protect from next dangerous win exploit, it's much better to switch to Linux operating system and some alternative to ms words.
Most people are using Libre Office as open source alternative but if you want better compatibility with ms formats than I would suggest that you try OnlyOffice that is also free, and it works in all operating systems.

4736  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Forum UI colour, why blue? Instead of bitcoin Orange? on: June 02, 2022, 08:21:09 PM
Since this forum started at about same time when bitcoin was launched, If the theme colour of bitcoin is Bitcoin Orange,Grey and White, and the name of this forum is Bitcointalk, why is the theme colour of bitcoin (orange) not reflected on the forum's interface? Why is the theme colour of the forum Blue instead of Orange?
I think this is standard blue color for SMF forums, but you can always use custom themes or simple inverted dark theme like I am doing right now.
I see everything in dark gray background, with white letters and golden tabs/titles, but I saw other styles are available in BPIP extension that can easily be enabled even with custom CSS style.

4737  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Coinriders 2.0 is here + survey on: June 02, 2022, 08:14:23 PM
Let me  know if you prefer white th
eme or dark theme
I prefer using dark theme and I use that for most websites, but I think you should make some updates and fixes on pages for each coin.
For example, when I click on Bitcoin I can see three tabs, About, Top Pairs and Predictions, but when I click on them they open very slow for me, and Top pairs should be on top of the page, not on bottom.
I would also like to see calculator for custom bitcoin units, like we can see on Coingecko and Coinmarketcap websites.
4738  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: June 02, 2022, 08:03:17 PM
All scam sites lack captcha, just as observation.
Captcha is to protect from DoS, I think. That is also a problem for API, isnt it?
I think API is (or will get) a nightmare.
Adding captchas to any website is trivial thing and if I remember correctly I saw several scam services that used them in past, so this won't protect you from anything.
I would suggest everyone to report this phishing website that first started to clone new Chipmixer homepage.
It's interesting to see that this scammers even copied tor link that they changed domain from .onion to .onl that works in clearnet  Cheesy

And this is how original Chipmixer looks like with proper onion domain:

4739  Other / Archival / Re: [WTS] Hardware Wallets; Ledger Nano X, Nano S, KeepKey on: June 02, 2022, 04:03:02 PM
I'm not in a hurry to sell any of these, I just got tired of these things taking up room in my drawer.  Give the ad a few more days, and if I don't get any bites I may be willing to entertain offers.
Yeah I think they lowered the price after they released Nono S plus, and they realized how much issues model X has with battery and firmware.
I think that Craigslist has the option to sell stuff for cryptocurrencies so you could try offering it there as well, that is if you have account there.
Ebay auction is also an option but only for USD or unwithdrawable fake bitcoin, so it would be interesting if you could give it a try in Bitcointalk auctions Wink
4740  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] 1994 Mitsubishi Delica L400 Exceed on: June 02, 2022, 03:55:23 PM
My bad I meant 5.26ETH or 0.32BTC. I've never seen one go for less than 15k USD - check DelicaUSA.
Now you are going from one extreme to another, and I personally wouldn't spend that much money for 29 year old vehicle with that history and steering wheel on right side.
I guess someone could buy this car as a collectibles item made in Japan, and on other websites that sell used cards I found the same Delica for 6k or 7k (on jdmbuysell.com), or newer models for even less money.
You can't seriously use only DelicaUSA website if you want to know the real market value for your car, but good luck with your sale aka giveaway Wink

There is sales tax. You can't really avoid it regardless of how you pay for the vehicle as it's typically assessed at the time of registration. But that's usually buyer's problem.
Is there a way to avoid paying taxes (or pay less) if previous owner declares that hi is giving away his car as a gift for free in United States?
Maybe he can register this car in some other countries like Mexico if he wants to avoid paying high extortion fees (just a crazy idea).
