4721  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Antminer S1 Dual on: May 16, 2014, 03:25:25 PM
No profit on them at the moment.

If you had S1 back in January or February, definitely.  March possibly.

Now, hells no!
4722  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Mining ASICs Technologies Promises 6TH/s Bitcoin Miner And 200 MH/s Scrypt Miner on: May 16, 2014, 03:20:15 PM
well I do not work for the company, but I do have two scrypt miners on order and Marc told me they would be at the Vienna BTC Show next weekend showing off this new machine and he told me it would be mining there so people will be making videos of the unit hard at work and marc told me they would too very soon.

Not hard for a scammer to tell you they will be at some Bitcoin conference or other. It proves nothing at all.

In fact I have seen another scammer use exactly this technique: "I will be at so and so Bitcoin conference next week where you can see my hardware mining". Turned out to be a scam.

Why would anyone pay without first having proof??

not only will they be there - but be there exhibiting their unit and of course you are welcome to stop by their offices in Denmark - others have.

people will have pay first after having done what they consider to be adequate due diligence and be first in line to receive the most cost effective miner made to date.

I would say the fact that you were the forum member who started the other thread advertising this manufacturer (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=609277.0) is unusual to say the least...

Are you associated with this company?

no

How come you're the only one hyping them up then?

So far they only have one pre order customer(you).  No one else in the forum has ordered.

Don't sell so much BTC at once, that's how the price lowers... Cry

not leaving any room for profit for buyers ?

"Not much" isn't zero  Tongue

Its cheaper than 4 ants + VAT + PSU's etc

Happy mining then  Cheesy

Oh they have been a great foundation for my farm. Would be sad to see them go really.

Not if you don't have to pay for VAT(I'm based in the US).

Ants are 0.402 each with coupon, by the way.

Interested in the November Jupiter, but not at those prices (yet).

Yea, good luck with that.

You won't win with pre orders, no matter what you tell yourself.

Terms and conditions, what's that?  Delays?  What, you didn't read the fine print where it says pre order don't guarantee a delivery date.  Q2/Q3 of year 2014 you say?  Might as well be 2015
4728  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $1.99/GH/s, miners from $2.97/GH/s on: May 16, 2014, 01:01:09 PM
Please read the entire post. They will be shipped as soon as we get them in stock.

Are they not shipping yet?

I got a shipment notification from Miner Source on Sunday.

So did the rest of us minersource customers.  Doesn't mean a thing, just them verifying the system is working.

Case for x-1 isn't ready yet, LCD still haven't arrived, some software issues...

We still haven't seen a completed miner, including the X-3, hashing away.
4729  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow - Status of pending orders - Prospero X-1, X-3, and Minion on: May 16, 2014, 12:58:03 PM

You can add me:

Username: NecroBones
Order Date: Dec 31, 2013
Payment Date: Jan 02, 2014
Order Number: R6232351xx
Currency: Wire Transfer
Machine Type: Prospero X-1
Quantity: 2
Delivery Country: US
Vendor: minersource.net

I received a shipment notification on Sunday, May 11, 2014. It has not arrived yet.

You'll probably have to wait alot longer.  From the main BA thread, they don't even have the case for the X-1 ready, and the LCD screens won't arrive until next week, or something along those lines.

4730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Poll] Number of people you tell about bitcoin - vs - how many are interested ? on: May 16, 2014, 03:24:37 AM
Told my friends, family, at least got my wife to buy a Bitcoin.  Tough sledding so far.

Only people that I meet that are in Crypto already, really have any enthusiasm for it.

I'm telling you, you have to be a special type of asshole to be in Bitcoin whether speculating, promoting, mining, coding, doing business.

Almost feels like I'm in a cult or a member of one of those nerdy clubs at school where there's only like 5 members.

But that's not a negative thing.  These things take time.  Growth is underway, and adoption is slow but growing.

The main thing is the underlying technology.  That's what drew me more than anything else.

Hopefully BTC takes off in the mainstream world, so I can be the most popular guy to talk to amongst my family and peers.   Tongue
4731  Other / Archival / Re: Bosna under Water on: May 16, 2014, 02:50:00 AM
Who's Bosna?   Tongue

In all seriousness, sad to see the massive flooding affecting Serbia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and surrounding region.

Unfortunately, the EU has to step up here first.  If they can't hack it then that's where other organizations like the Red Cross and humanitarian efforts come in.

Tragic stuff.   Sad
4732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Little Research on all the Development Companies!! (KnC, Gridseed, FlowerTech..) on: May 16, 2014, 02:14:28 AM
No mention of the #1 mining company in the world, Bitmaintech?

Delivered over 20% of the network hashrate, quite an omission.

I see you're right.  The evidence was there to buy Antminers back in November.  I guess we you just made a bad decision and chose the wrong company to go with.  Oh well, I tried to argue in your favor.  I'll take the search lessons and work on my future postings to be more accurate.

Finally agree on something.

Looks like UpDown.bt has made their first payment...

First payout was made. 0,7534BTC totally

https://blockchain.info/tx/1d27984f8d9e27a3912522f3b56d58f4d97c295e85d0df4bd12ccb98637e97fe

All posts for the users who didn't reached 10 in first week will be paid on 2nd week if you will meet 10 posts criteria next 7 days.

I will post a table with results and update OP soon. Need to take some breakfast. Thanks.

So, they are the highest paid campaign now

How are they the highest paid?  I see only 3 BTC + paid out.  One poster magically made 2 BTC in posts in one week(BULLSHIT).

Ritz paid out over 12 BTC last month.  One poster made over 1 BTC(think it was Sr member Equate) which makes sense.

Not even close to highest paid campaign.  I'm sure Stunna has Updown beat as well.

Gotta do it by monthly figures, not weekly.

None actually made 2 BTC !!! I also thought it for the first time. But it seems it was the rest of the amount that was going back to UpDown.bt's another address. Details below...

OMG !!! Someone earned 2.32909698 BTC ?

I doubt it. It's probably change or sending it back to another account. He said he paid out 0,7534BTC totally. Glad to see payment proof though. I hope you're ready for the onslaught of new users signing up to this now haha.

You're absolutely right.  I know there's some dedicated and prolific posters, but it'd be quite a feat to post that much in 1 week. Wink

Not to pick on you, but Antminers have been selling since the very first Group buy by Sushi way back in late November.  Retail and resellers everywhere in December.

Interesting since their post takes orders on January 15th and it says orders would ship on the 25th.  Posted by Bitmain - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=417159.0;topicseen

But I guess that is wrong.  That's cool.  Can only work with the evidence on hand.

When they didn't make February sure, but since most people put orders in before January 1 to be in the first batch, and since Antminers didn't start selling until January 15th it's all hindsight now.  Who would have known?

You missed this guy's payout day when he got 300 in 1 day. Saw it on the side. It was amazing.

Nope, didn't happen.

Checked 18aBb4GfX3QCN64xaJ3W3EuNzHL92v2UU1 Blockchain history.  He got over 100 BTC during one day(I think like April 28th), but no where close to 300 BTC in one day.

They would never have shipped in February.  They didn't have anything.  They didn't have cases, fans, heat syncs, touch screens, interface software, power supplies, nothing.  Even today they have the chips but they are still waiting on other parts.  They could never have shipped in February, didn't matter what the power was on their testing, it wouldn't of mattered.  They just told everyone February to drum up sales to fund this operation.  If they had said, "We'll have a miner in May or June" most people wouldn't have ordered through them.

But hindsight is 20/20.  People think they would have all bought Antminers, but my guess is that most people would have sunk their money in KNC or BFL or Cointerra or one of the various other outfits and be just as disappointed (if not more so in some cases) than they are now.

Actually I can and did sink my money into Antminers once February was delayed for BA.  Once they announced the delay, first thing I did was order 1 Ant for 1.45 BTC.

Several Ants later, that first February Ant ROI'ed for me and then some.

Sold off most of them, but I still keep that first Ant just for proof that you can ROI in this mining game, if you buy from stock not shitty pre orders.
