Feb. 12 (Bloomberg) -- At the heart of the European debt crisis is the euro, the currency that tied together 18 countries in an intimate manner. So when one country teeters on the brink of financial collapse, the entire continent is at risk. How did such a flawed system come to be? Bloomberg Television and Jonathan Jarvis present "The European Debt Crisis Visualized." (Source: Bloomberg) This is the video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8xAXJx9WJ8What do you think?

Bitcoin will never be a national currency, or at least no one of these actual nations. Any democratic govern will want to take possession of it, but it is decentralized and they cannot... It is complicated as situation.
YES. It is much more suitable to an international, non-national, non-political currency. There are some weird legal and regulatory effects of a country making it a national currency in many jurisdictions, they aren't particularly beneficial for Bitcoin, just a different set of laws. Some are kinda good, others not so much. I agree with you, bitcoin will stay a valid alternative for send large quantity of money with the lowest fees in the "World". It is also a great technology (thanks to the blockchain) and maybe only some microNation can use it as a "national" currency like Woodland Patchwork ( http://mw.micronation.org/wiki/Woodland_Patchwork).

Nearly 50 soldiers have been killed in a week of fighting between government troops and Kokang ethnic rebels in Myanmar, state media report.
The Global New Light of Myanmar newspaper said air strikes had been used in the response to the flare-up in Shan state, near the Chinese border. More at : http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-31450420That's a shame, I think they should stop the "war" because the war is useless.

CAPS LOCK ACTIVATED! ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) For the first time in 2 days this did make me laugh ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Can you prove that convicted2008 is your account ? I think it is a simple thing to do, if you want post a photo as quickseller or try to find another method for prove your "honesty". This person likely owns/controls the convicted2008 account. It is likely a purchased account by CandyStripes with the intention to eventually scam with it. When it was discovered that the account belonged to Candy, he faked the account getting hacked in order to try to eventually get the negative trust removed once he "recovers" the account. It seems that you are right, if he can't prove anything the negative trusts will remain (Again, nice catch Quickseller ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) ).

one of the most laziest nationalities in euro zone... same southerners syndrom, money without work.
Have you ever been to Greece? I have, and I've seen plenty of people working their asses off. Calling all Greeks lazy is short sighted and untrue. The problems of Greece are corruption, socialism, a culture of tax evasion, lack of a decent industry sector, the Euro, and currently austerity. So yes, Greece has plenty of problems, but I wouldn't list overall laziness. Calling Greeks for "lazy" is the official Northern European MSM doctrine to justify why the industries in Greece (and other PIGS countries - just look up, who coined up this term) went belly up and why their agriculture was uprooted (hint: it happened shortly after joining EU, and IMF was involved in the plunder). Just watch these episodes: "Alex": A story about Greece's international image crisis https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehsxIjeRaME"Alex" episode 2: The Lazy Greek https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ad0n-eX_cYIYou say the Greeks are courting a Russian bailout? My guess is the Bear is in no position to bail out anybody. When times get tough go to war - it's a simple solution to unemployment especially in the defense economy sector.
Maybe someday after petroleum is all pumped and burned, the EU will become a de facto satellite of Russia or freeze. Not going to see a trans-Atlantic natural gas pipeline anytime soon.
Russia is actually in quite a good position to bail out friendly states. It has good financial reserve, and small, relative to its GDP, foreign debt. The main question here: should it? None of the previous cases of Russian/Soviet generosity in economic support were appreciated or beneficial for Russia. Greece was almost a third world country a few decades ago and would go back to being a third world country if they left the EU but not if they only leave the Euro.Interesting opinion, and if they will leave only the EU zone and create a new "currency", would it be a good idea? Or do you think the ECB will not allow "this" and other actions?

I'm not sure what i'm doing wrong,
i'm trying to mine with 2 R9 290
CMD just stays blank.
1. What version of cgminer you're using? AFAIK, scrypt & GPU support was removed from cgminer a while back, so you need to use an older version of cgminer to mine scrypt. https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=6925.02. Are you sure your username is good? When I used to mine scrypt with cgminer with some pool, my username usually was formatted like "username.worker" So if my username on pool was HHH and I had a worker named Worker55, my batch file will say: -u HHH.Worker55Looks like CoIntellect (so username is ok), I hope I'm wrong though.... You don't want to waste your time and energy to a company not paying out funds.Yes, I also suggest the OP to stay away from cointellect. They have changed the rules and now the only pay who will invest (buy) their "mining" contracts. Now we call it "a 100% ponzi scheme".

As written in the article:
"Satoshi claimed to reside in Japan, although searches and inquiries into his true identity turn up few results. Facts that were uncovered seem to be contradictory and purposefully led followers on a false trail. In his early days working on the project, Satoshi was known for a business-like demeanor and very seldom revealed details about himself, instead dedicating himself feverishly to the bitcoin project."
For me this is enough, but a lot of people are curious.

I think that it can't exist a irreversibility in payments method without the control of a centralized institution
I think bitcoin is the best type of payment "irreversible" (-avoid the double spend). However the video is very very good, has someone tweet this video to Bill Gates's twitter account ?

are we at 300 people already or no?
No read the #number at the right of the quote function : ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FVz0xXZq.png&t=663&c=AWTWh0S3bfPJsA) and you can see how approximately at which number we are.

So you wanted to start a project, but you cancelled it because the network couldn't handle the high number of transactions? Imagine that there are a lot of people that would want to start various projects or more important various services, but can't because the network doesn't allow them a high transaction number. That's why we need 20MB blocks. Internet got popular and useful for everyone when we were able to access different services on it. It will be the same with Bitcoin. We just need to allow stuff to happen!
Why do you compare Bitcoin with gold? What's the logic behind that? Did Satoshi mentioned anything about Bitcoin and gold? I'm not aware of that reference. That's again your view about Bitcoin which is a personal and distorted view of Bitcoin. Bitcoin should be neutral just as the Internet and it should be available for everyone, not just to the highest bidders because you or anyone else wants it that way!
Yes sidechains will help, but we don't know how much space in a block will the Sidechain need so until we know that it's useless to make assumptions about them.
Why do *I* need *you* to start projects and services on the Bitcoin block chain? The code is open source, fork it, Side Chain it, modify it however you see fit, and have fun with your project or service. Why do *you* insist on imposing upon others? Do you lack reading reading comprehension? I have highlighted one important part from my quote. Let me repeat it because you obviously didn't see it: Bitcoin should be neutral just as the Internet and it should be available for everyone, not just to the highest biddersI never stated that I want to start projects and that you need me. I said that there are a lot of people that would like to start various services and projects. Please highlight the part where I said that I want to start anything. That's an interesting phrase and concept, we will see in the next 4-5 years if it will stay "free, decentralized & neutral" or not (I certainly hope so).
