You will rarely find them. I agree with stomachgrowls, you have to research them. I don't think that they're extinct but somehow a few of them can still exist today.

It's a sad reality that most of the projects today are building project not building products. If you know what I mean, they build project to increase the capital that they have knowing that it's for funding but they never use it for the exact reason they have proposed.
4722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We finally are going to get justice in regards to Mr. Wright on: June 25, 2020, 01:17:07 PM
What a vague reason. He don't have reason anymore and probably see that as his escape goat or he actually has a plan and that's going well for his part.

From this court case and his general disposition, we can see that CSW is a logical and highly intelligent person and unfortunately I believe he’s got a ‘Master Plan’ that no of us are aware of. Whether he’s shows autistic traits or pathological liar traits is debatable, but what I’m sure of is this case will go on and on and somehow it will play into his hands. He is always 2 steps ahead of everyone - whether we like it or not unfortunately.
Just like what I'm thinking but he should've thought of something better and don't use a serious status as his reason.
4723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Tron coins Lost in the network on: June 25, 2020, 11:19:39 AM
sorry for not updating as i just gave up on the coins...anyhow the coins didnt arrive and i think its because i sent it from the dappchain (not the main chain), not sure if thats the problem but it is what it is.
thank you all for your replies
Ok, after two months you have replied and cleared that you just gave up for claiming those coins. I'm not also sure how things happen between TRX chains mainnet and not.

But if you contacted the right people for this problem before who were related to the service, I think you can get a solution for this. Anyway if that's your decision of forgetting it and just want to move on, you might want to lock the thread.
4724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Poker Tournaments" are reopening little by little. on: June 25, 2020, 10:26:56 AM
~snip~
They won't open the place and invite more people. As pandemic's concern, there should be a limited people that's gathering inside a place and they shouldn't create a crowd just because of that event or else they'll get a sanction by violating a certain policy.

We know the reason for these veterans why they get back to certain tournaments. And that is to join and make money out of the tournament. That's their livelihood so basically, they won't just come to test themselves and come for nothing.

I hope the casino can obey the rule and not just think about making money only because once they can make more money, the owner will look that it is fine if they open and invite more people. Gathering inside a place and in a crowded place, which is many people at that place, will be too risky, and that can be the potential to get infected. It will better if the owner can manage how many people can play together at the same hour, so they can control the number of people who stay inside the room.
I believe that they will follow the rules strictly because they are doing it not just for themselves but also for their customers. It's about taking care of their customers health so that they can get back again to them whenever they want.

But if they don't take care of the health of their gamblers seriously, it's a loss for them. Thus, they also have to follow it because of the local government rules and that's the reason in the first place why they're back at it again.
4725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: COVID-19 a reason for Bitcoin adoption? on: June 25, 2020, 09:12:24 AM
One reason could be the new increased rate are the people that are looking for alternative investment. And they treat bitcoin as an investment so do we as well. No problem with that at all and we are ever wanting to see more people adopt bitcoin as a currency and as an investment.

With the pandemic, it's also said that transmission of virus through bank notes is possible. So we're actually going to the phase of cashless and it's up to them if they'll going in for retaining the value of their money and seeing future gains or wanting transactions through bitcoin.
4726  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Is there a risk in connecting the wallet to decentralized exchanges? on: June 24, 2020, 08:06:25 PM
There are many decentralized exchanges like Idex
I have never used Binance DEX but I can remember the first time that I did my trade through a DEX before but turned into a semi-DEX and that's the exchange that I'm saying, IDEX.

I've made another wallet and transferred the coin there so that my main wallet will be safe and I don't have to think of worries at all. If you doubt connecting your main wallet to any dex like Binance DEX, just use and create another wallet for that specific token you will be sending and trading.
4727  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else see a big bitcoin upwards movement coming very soon? on: June 24, 2020, 06:38:18 PM
I'm not an analyst but with my point of view, I think I can also see what you're seeing right now. But, I think that looking into the four digits. I'm not thinking that we will never see that again. I have that thinking since the 2017 bull run yet 2018 came badly and made everybody of us realize that this how we volatility hits us badly.

I'd say that if we get to become stable from the ranges above $15,000 for a long time. I guess we can use those words again that we'll never see the lower prices again.
4728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "Poker Tournaments" are reopening little by little. on: June 24, 2020, 05:44:42 PM
The watch thing shall be made through telecast. I'm not good with that allowing them to get into the live audiences. I guess most of the sporting events and poker tournaments too are aware of it and also will account themselves if something bad happens.

Veterans won't join just because they want to test their skills. They will be there because they want to join the tournament and that's their life and not just going to do it for testing.

That is why they need to make sure that everything is under control, so if they want to open the place and invite more people to come and watch, it will be no problem for them. That has a risk for them because they need to test and check one by one of the people who come, and I think that is one of the procedures before they allow them to enter the places.

We don't know what the veteran's reason to come back to play poker tournaments. Perhaps, some of them want to back to their old habit and make money, while the other veterans want to test their skills among them.

4729  Economy / Economics / Re: What if this pandemic persists till the end of the year? on: June 24, 2020, 04:56:21 PM
The same as what we're experiencing today. But all of these are temporary because we'll be going back to normal as soon as possible whenever we've got to see the vaccine. It will end all of these bad things that are happening to us.

The adjustment has to be made so that it can ensure everyone's safety but the recoil of it to the economy is huge. There will be a slowmo recovery as for the economy because most countries are starting to allow businesses to get back again to their operations.
Where I am living, the government is almost pushing people to physically go to work (instead of working at home), some people say that leaders are afraid of the effects of a big portion of the population only working at home (less taxes from transportation/fuel, less employment in restaurants around workplaces, drop of real estate prices if companies decide to downscale their facilities, etc)

It will be interesting to see what will happen in the next months.
That's a crazy reason if your government leaders were pushing people to go back to work without even suggesting that those jobs that are flexible and the work at home scheme is applicable to them. Are you sure that your leaders were thinking like that?

Because if there is an option to work at home, that's the best for those workers. I understand taxation and fuel consumption which is basically one of the important needs for the economy to go back. But they must think of the health of their people first before taxes, oh well, if it's about taxes no argument regarding that against the government.

It is good that they have mentioned that they're also prioritizing the safety of their employees. Whenever a company says something like that, it truly is looking to the safety of its employees and treats them very well.

Poker isn't just the one part of gambling industry that's going to be back. Some tournaments in different kinds of sports which also is part of sports betting are about to get back soon. A little by little, most games that we're betting will come back but applying some regulations this time.

The sports industry which wants to reopen in this pandemic needs to make sure that everything is clean before they start the games, especially if the sports promoter intends to invite the audience to watch the match. Perhaps, we will see new improvements from the gambling industry, and the poker tournament can have a new look or interface for the player or the audience at the place.

Perhaps, many veterans of poker games will join in those tournaments because they want to test if their skills are good or not to play with the opponent.

4732  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is Ledger Live's new feature to buy crypto a scam? (evidence provided) on: June 23, 2020, 05:32:33 PM
I've made a thread about this update and found out that the fees were totally ridiculous through a reddit discussion.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/h837g0/question_regards_buying_through_coinify/

Next time, use a better exchange than this feature to avoid those fees.

Why pay when you can offer to follow me and I will follow you scheme it's better that way and a win-win situation and you can get people on twitter with similar interests like you which is Cryptocurrency
AFAIK, there's a new rule or policy about following in twitter.

If most people that will follow OP, it's good to his end. But, he can't follow all of them continuously and it has to refresh because there's a limit which is the new policy.

4735  Economy / Economics / Re: Akon City: $6 Billion Cryptocurrency City Set to Begin Construction on: June 22, 2020, 05:09:35 PM
IIRC, this is old news and some threads were already made just for this. If Akon can show the world that his city is going to be sustainable with what he has, then it will ever be the first-ever made by him truly.

At first, it needs to be built with the help of dollars and trades from nearby cities until it can stand on its own. Although, that could be the next question that we can think of with the given timeframe.
4736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Charities accepting crypto donations? on: June 22, 2020, 02:20:22 PM
Careful with this one OP, I knew many scam charity projects in the past, they successfully scam too many investors, make sure you do good research on any options you've been given on here
The forum charities on the list given by cryptoaddictchie are good for everybody to trust. There are proofs that the donations are really going to the people in need.

Check the history of it and you'll see that they've been working hard to send those donations to their respective recipients.

maybe he havent visited those threads yet or maybe he mean to say donation/charity programs that are outside of the forum because those are the ones that cant be trusted easily  , you dont know if what are the reputation of those people that conduct a program than compare to this forum because we are more familiar on the faces and atitude of the users on here.

im only surprise that the op didnt knew that theres already alot of charity programs on this forum and most of them already have a sig campaign which can be seen anywhere on this forum .
He probably hasn't. A lot of charities were used in scams in the past and that's why he said that thing. But little did he know that there are charities that were originally made from the forum and is giving aid to the needy.

By informing others that they do exist.

Can help spread the good news about them and donators like op can find the legit ones.

4738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blockchain gambling are ushering in new development opportunities? on: June 21, 2020, 04:02:11 PM
So do you think that the Blockchain gambling are ushering in new development opportunities?
snip..
I realized that Dapps is still very young to be able to change the patterns that are running.
They are young and they can't compete with the casinos that we have. What I see is that it's good that they are there but most gamblers aren't will still choose what we have. I'm not discouraging the innovation but that's the reality that you can observe lately.

Blockchain technology will be used in all aspects of life, not only cryptocurrencies but also all casinos (maybe) will adopt it to keep abreast of developments..
There is no doubt about this. It's happening that blockchain is well taken and adopted gradually and that includes the dapps but it thrives in other aspects and areas.
4739  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the Best Bitcoin wallet? on: June 21, 2020, 01:53:03 PM
Holding for long isn't suitable for online wallets and exchanges like those that you have mentioned. There were incidents that happened in the past for custodial wallets and exchanges so that doesn't a good decision if you ever want to keep your bitcoins on those wallets. And blockchain.com wallet is very known for bugs.

You don't control your funds there because they are the ones that have the control.

As they suggest, electrum, ledger or trezor are the best choices.
4740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blockchain gambling are ushering in new development opportunities? on: June 20, 2020, 03:38:26 AM
Casinos are the most profitable dapps on these platforms but for the mobile games, its just something that will not be used by any of us in crypto. Not everyone in crypto is here to play games unless it allows users to earn coins.
I don't even think that dapps that made casinos don't even profit that much. At the beginning when the hype is still there, I think that they are profitable but in the long run the customers are going back to the traditional or common casinos that they used to play.

But to say that they are the most profitable in terms of dapps, there's no counter argument on that because that could be a fact but it doesn't last long compare to the established casinos that keeps on operating and without making themselves as a dapp or going into the trend.
