4741  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Anyone received this: ASICminer 8 Nano. 40TH/s??? on: July 20, 2018, 11:16:13 PM
Anyone have got this ?
AFAIK, only "jabby" has it.

How's it working, really 40TH/s???
Based on "his video" (not a clear or in-depth review), it's around 36-38THS.

I’m confused about escrows also. Can anybody explain how they work?
An "escrow provider", acts as a middleman (intermediary).

Cryptogrind is a new start-up company
AFAIK, Cryptogrind has been around for the past several years, so am I correct to assume that it's under a new management?
4744  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: 👻Aren't you sick of the scams ? 👮‍♀️Here's the ultimate (and free) solution ! on: July 20, 2018, 08:36:32 AM
  • it automatically detect scammy accounts on twitter and warn you about them,
Even those that aren't on your database? If "YES", how?

All feedbacks are welcome, we truly value your opinions and look forward to hear what you think and how we could improve, feel free to leave us a comment below !
In addition to what "AdolfinWolf" (great questions) posted, even though it appears targeted at phishing websites, you might want to add other types of websites from "Badbitcoin.org (The Badlist)" as well.
4745  Other / Meta / Re: why there's no support for Android Devices for this forum to make it responsive? on: July 20, 2018, 01:18:47 AM
or maybe a responsive theme ... would solve it,
I'm not a back-end type of guy but AFAIK, due to this forum's heavy customization, even simple things requires a lot of tweaking.

I wasn't aware of Epochtalk software, but I know Vanilla Forums, Open Source and free forums software, it can be responsive as well.
Other things aren't an option (especially since they've been working on Epochtalk for the past few ears and have spent a lot of money for modding it).
4746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forum moderation policy on: July 19, 2018, 03:02:55 PM
How does one determine low value of a post?
In most cases, it's quite obvious [1] but in some cases, it's subjective [23]:

[1]:
1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads. [1][e]

1. Such posts like "SELL SELL SELL", "I agree", "+1", "Support", "Watching", "Interesting", "LOL", "SCAM", "LEGIT", "FAKE", other one word posts, posts consisting mostly of swearing, quote pyramids, useless introduction threads, threads about a topic already recently discussed in several other threads.

[23]:
23. When deciding if a user has broken the rules, the staff have the right to follow their interpretation of the rules.[e]

23. This rule is meant to prevent from users exploiting possible loopholes in the rules or some interpretations that follow the literal meaning of the rule rather than the meaning of what it truly wanted to prevent.

or Add job option to the Home forums.
We already have such board: "Services"

I really think post are regularized or categorized by moderators rather than calling it crap or low value post easily. And I it is a great help for newbies and let them give a boost of motivation.
It won't happen (not feasible - Requires way more manpower and it's really unnecessary [IMO]).
4747  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone heard Northway Mining in Athens, New York state? (miners colocation) on: July 19, 2018, 02:31:29 PM
Do anyone hear about Northway Mining in Athens, New York State?
Never heard of such hosting (did a forum search but couldn't find anything either). The only thing that I was able to find (from google), was this "craigslist ad".

Saleman's name is Ryan.
Link to his/her profile/forum account?

He claimed  Northway Mining has 15MW of power available immediately.
Where (post)?
4748  Other / Meta / Re: How do you feel about the zoo ? Is is shill training or alt breeding ? on: July 19, 2018, 06:59:21 AM
How do you feel about the zoo ? Is is shill training or alt breeding ? Or mark of the beast ? Number 14
Based on that "Off-topic thread" and the time between each of those posts, it's definitely an alt breeder.
4749  Other / Meta / Re: why there's no support for Android Devices for this forum to make it responsive? on: July 19, 2018, 02:23:11 AM
why there's no support for Android Devices for this forum to make it responsive?
That issue already has a solution but you'll have to wait until the new forum is introduced/finished (they'll be using "epochtalk" [it's responsive]):

Epochtalk is already responsive for mobile. We will also think about a native implementation if there is enough public demand.
While the frontend design is not yet complete, Epochtalk was made to be responsive and mobile friendly (unlike SMF 1.x). You can expect further improvements in the UX down the road once it gets a higher priority.

New threads don't appear as the current data on the Beta is from October 2016. New data has to be migrated from Bitcointalk for new threads to 'appear' on the Beta.
4750  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ranks/positions/badges (What do those shiny coins under my name mean?) on: July 17, 2018, 12:22:28 AM
In rank Position what is the advantage of badges what you can do and where you can use your account for ? i'm newbie here
Apart from separating you from other normal users (with the badge that puts/adds/counts you in a particular group), it doesn't have an advantage (AFAIK).
- I hope you're not mixing gold coins under your name with badges.
4751  Economy / Reputation / Re: Revealing forum cheaters on: July 16, 2018, 03:42:23 PM
I believe (firmly) that those accounts are connected but DT1/2 members, usually refuse to leave ratings unless there's enough evidence that connects them (ex. Address connections and etc...).

But these particularly 3 are very similar and have joined the same signature campaign, were created at the same time and sent merit with no exceptionally reason.

4752  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Blackbird Hardware Wallet - the safest wallet on the planet on: July 16, 2018, 12:54:34 PM
If this was meant as an announcement, you need to move it to "Service Announcements" board (since it's "Out of stock", based on your website) and add a few lines.
- I like it (but it's a bit pricey).

For moving the thread, use the "move topic" button from the bottom left corner of this page.
4753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Nitroneum YouTube video contest on: July 16, 2018, 10:19:36 AM
               $30,000 up for Grabs

~Snipped~

Prizes:

 - 1st Place :   $3,000
 - 2nd Place :  $2,500
 - 3rd Place :   $2,000
 - 4th Place :   $1,500
 - 5th Place :   $1,000
But the sum of those, are only 10k in prizes (not 30k).
- Can you provide proof or sign a message from an address that has such amount in it?
4754  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Introduce Windows dedicated Bitcoin ticker widget on: July 16, 2018, 07:43:10 AM
BitTab supports customizable templates. You can easily make your own template too.
I've been trying to look for a way (within the app - sources [where are they?]) to customize the template but had no luck (can you point me in the right direction?):

4755  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: crypto profit calculator app on: July 16, 2018, 05:51:57 AM
i'm happy about advice for improvement or feedback.
Care to show/explain how you came up with the numbers on "expect value" field?

Personally, I prefer not to rely on such apps.
4756  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Coincrate.net | Get paid to do Offers, Surveys, Games, Quizes [High pay] on: July 16, 2018, 03:47:57 AM
Could you please tell me which offerwall is redirecting to google? There are a 5 to choose from.
It's from "AdGate Media (Complete a quiz types of offer)".

The region issue has always been there for everyone, and there is no way around it (Unless using a VPN works).
It appears you changed something since on my last visit, I couldn't log in while using a VPN (but now "I can" so that solves the issue).
4757  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Any good wallet for quick transactions without veeification? on: July 15, 2018, 04:26:15 PM
I need a wallet/bitcoin service where I can buy and send bitcoins without this whole verification process. Also I want to buy bitcoins using credit card cause that is most convenient for me. Oh, and I need it as website, not wallet app that I install on my phone.
There's also "Blockchain.com (former blockchain.info)" but after the first few trades, they ask for identifications:

Quote
After your first purchase, you will need to wait 7 days before you can begin your second purchase. Once you’ve made several purchases, you may be asked to submit identity information to continue making credit card purchases.

*Please note that fraud detection services may cause your order to go into review or be rejected. If this occurs, please reach out to Coinify support here.

Read the following links:

- What countries are supported for buying/selling?
4758  Other / Meta / Re: Using automated translation tools to post translated content in Local boards on: July 15, 2018, 02:12:01 PM
These are often used google trans for bounty campaigns.
You need to use a better format (to make everything clear). Try to follow this format instead:

#1
Name: vietnamdd

Original
Translation (google)

Mainstream social media shuns these advertisements, if we too do that how would the companies ever end up promoting the projects?
and as the chances to promote their scams in the world reduce, perhaps they will stop being created.
They'll just move to another forum/platform.

I also think it's nothing to do with "Meta"
Users normally post such threads, on either "Reputation" or "Scam Accusations" boards but since "translation tools" are against the rules, then it can stay here (as a reference for his/her report):

27. Using automated translation tools to post translated content in Local boards is not allowed.
4759  Other / Meta / Re: Requesting for Farsi local board! on: July 15, 2018, 12:56:30 PM
there are more than 200 Million people in the world who speak this language (I think)
According to google, it's approximately 110 million.

and we already have many Farsi language speaking people on this forum.
I've been here (as a multilingual person that understands Persian) for the past 3 years and that's not the case (in terms of active members, unfortunately).

I don't see a Farsi thread in the other languages board on the first two pages which goes back to February.
Farsi = Persian (فارسی (Persian))

we need more voters.
I don't think there is demand for this.
This.
- There's no need in having a dedicated local board when there's no demand (there are other local threads with far more activity and yet, they still don't have a dedicated local board).
4760  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can you give me a listing of clearnet Bitcoin Marketplaces on: July 14, 2018, 05:22:55 PM
In addition to what other users provided, you can try the following as well:

- Reddit market
- Another forum's marketplace
- OpenBazaar
