70/1 odds to win? I suppose would have been 30/1 or thereabouts for a final appearance then, not bad. But what were the odds for Kansas? That's more interesting. And now the hawks swoop in to pick out the talents I guess?

Well I don't know why exactly but I decided that I would lay some Satoshis down on Kansas tonight but that have been getting worked  here in the first half. I was just expecting so much more out of their starting five, and three players are under 4 parts out of the starters.  Ochai Agbaji can't do it all himself.  I was also a bit afraid that North Carolina had ran themselves ragged after that last game with Duke. I also didn't think Armando Bacot was going to be playing very efficient tonight after getting hurt last game.  No very hopeful with this second half lol.

Nice 50%++ profit on your satoshis if the spread just about made it huh. Did you double down on them at half time? Odds should have been mighty pretty on a ML.
4742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night & Main Event: Sportsbet.io Predictions & discussion on: April 06, 2022, 06:42:36 AM
Been a while since I been sniffing around UFC, but with football consuming my bankroll, and the simple matter of real life, it's just been a crazy thang or two.

That said, Sunday night will either be a big break for me, or a big dud, depending on the outcome of City-Liverpool. Interestingly, 6 and a half hours after that game, we get UFC 273, so I might splash some of my winnings there.

The Korean Zombie is begging me to put silly money on him. N00b trap?
4743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 05, 2022, 06:47:14 PM
Man, I took Atletico way back when it was 85/10, and today, on Sportsbet, odds are 13.72 with a very special Super Boost active... if that's not screaming value, I don't know what is. Still 10+ mins to take that!

I'm going to make it hard on myself and just put in whatever pennies I could on a Liverpool/Atletico parlay for almost 20/1.

Who else is bloody excited, cause I am!
4744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +81785 units on: April 05, 2022, 06:45:10 PM
No joy, but maybe Champions League to save my ass on a bad, bad run? One can hope Atletico take their game up, and Liverpool, well, if they don't win, it's a pointless bet to me Wink

So it goes, our last-ditch parlay, with a Super Boost on Atletico alone @13.72 and Liverpool @1.42

100 units at Sportsbet on Liverpool and Atletico to WIN @19.48. Other odds: 17.75
Units advantage:  173

Running advantage after 124 bets: +13552 (+173)
All-time cumulative: +81,958
Running units after 123 bets (14W|109L): +828 (-200)
4745  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price stay above $40000? on: April 05, 2022, 03:32:11 PM
Again, more important this month is not 50k, but to stay above 40k.
According to Glassnode, people that are holding are still increasing, even people having less than 1 BTC are holding most. It is very possible the price of bitcoin will not stay below $40000, but not reaching $50000 is not what that can be predictable for now. Most importantly, what people are just experiencing right now is that people holds more than sell.

Not so sure what you're getting at (other than the obvious that below $40k is about as likely as above $50k, if not more likely) but I'd most certainly hold if I had anything less than 1 BTC (sadly, any pretense I have about having anything substantial is invalidated but how hard I'm still working for my BTC heh). What's 10k gain or loss at such "low" numbers, right?

Wondering if April will see a 10% daily bump either way, as that'll probably trigger a serious move.
4746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 05, 2022, 10:25:20 AM
Yeah MoSala came out of nowhere a few weeks ago, and then now he just sits there happy. My season's getting worse in the final leg. This is like Liverpool of old under Brendan Rodgers or even Houllier or Rafa. Fly high and stumble in final quarter heh.

Milan did NOT trick me in betting, but only because I had nothing left. Would definitely have put them down for something, screw you nil-nil draws man.

Those free bets come mighty handy when the balance dries up and wallet is out of hand. Funny how couple of clubhouse rewards mean very little to me until that moment when they become of utmost importance Smiley

It was quite though weekend to end in the green. Fortunately for me my biggest bet was on tennis and that went as planned. All my football tickets went miserably.

Aaaand my 20 usdt is gone, because I was so smart to start off bets with Arsenal leg.

But yes! You just reminded me of freebets from Clubhouse. I should get 2 or 3 if not more by the time Sunday bets settle. Only "problem" is how random they seem to be (even as you go up levels). Last month I got almost 0.3 per level at Silver, and then it dropped from 0.2-3 in Gold. Missed platinum as I lost badly most games, so betting frequency dropped.

4747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 05, 2022, 09:06:38 AM
right on

i'm getting Atletico v Liverpool (2019) and Bayern v Atletico (2016) vibes from this City-Madrid clash tomorrow, Atletico getting a lot of disrespect, but then they go and prove the naysayers that anything can happen in football. +1.5 and ahc +1.75 looking super tasty

Yeah! I still feel Simeone will never truly be a great if he doesn't change, but he actually tried to (and won La Liga), but realises now he doesn't have the reserves to sustain it.

Suarez will be fired up like no other. Felix always looks like he fancies a pop. Pep promises he'll be creative again. Should be a blast.

Liverpool, of course, have a job to do first! And it's crazy but I'm actually thinking to watch the City game at least for the latter half. Is that sacrilege?

I second this, Athletico should make it to the next round.
I have fancied how they played, got to watch their game during the weekend .
Luis Suarez and Joao Felix were all goal scorers in the game.
I can still recall how Suarez scored Manchester City severally during he's days at Liverpool.
Suarez and Raheem Sterling did hurt them then!!

Some of my most painful memories, tbh. Suarez not so much, I loved him but knew he was destined elsewhere, and the club paid not a small price to defend him (but no regrets). Sterling left me dumbfounded. Followed him all through the academy, would tell my friends he was approaching senior level and to watch out for him. Then he went done what he did and I never forgave him (not for what he did but how). All good though, I'm over it, and they paved the way for Kloppomania.

I think I'm only confident in Kane getting a goal.  And maybe Adams.  Cheesy  Saka could get one but doubful vs Crystal Palace away.
It was bad luck for me again last time in Majestic7 and I had only one correct goal scorer selected, it was Heung-min Son from Tottenham.
Maybe buwaytress, tokeweed or others had better results than me, and I will only hope that next round Matchday32 will be better for me Smiley

I only had JWP as my hit. Hurts me that Spurs score 5 goals and I couldn't even pick one scorer (went for Kane instead of Son). All my other picks were for teams that either lost or drew, so yeah, not good in general.

Liverpool-City are on MD32 selection -- should get plenty of people picking something right there, unless the dreaded nil-nil happens. No United, but the key I think will picking the right scorer in Norwich-Burnley.

Pity about Arsenal. Killed me on my USDT long acca. Watched the first half and they were pretty okay without being really threatening but Palace were menacing with results. Could have been because Martinelli wasn't playing, Zaha at his physical, pacey, jinking best.

@LFC_Bitcoin, Trofo. Odds to me a pretty good value for Liverpool at home, pays much better than any of our recent games (almost 15/10). Benfica are no pushovers but we usually like playing Portuguese teams who, to their credit, don't change much even when facing supposedly attacking teams -- case in point Ajax. Very narrow, counter-loving, almost like an Atletico but with more class IMO. It won't be an open Porto 4-3-3 team in case we've gotten so used to that!

I've committed all of my remaining season bankroll to tonight/weekend games -- including on Atletico (10/1). So I either end Sunday with nothing left or with a lot more than I started. City do have the depth, but this is going to be their toughest 2 weeks so I'm really hoping for fireworks! They play us both times home, so bookies rightly have them as favourites both games -- but underdog tag against the big boys always suits us!

LFC: Pics if you're at Anfield on Benfica visit!

4750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 04, 2022, 04:59:13 PM
Re all the talk on Atletico-City, the tie has now breached 10/1 odds on the Spanish team to win. When the draw first came out, odds were 85/10 and has been edging ever higher. No surprise, since City are UCL favourites, odds favourites, ranking favourites, statistical favourites, etc.

But City have never quite met Atletico, who've become more and more like their old selves, the ones Liverpool found hard to beat: stubborn, negative, anti-football.

We've all seen City frustrated by far less. So that's my super pick of the week: Atletico outright in Wink
4751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread on: April 04, 2022, 02:49:58 PM
In terms of being competitive, I think the Braga - Rangers matchup is going to be exactly like that. Both of them eliminated very tough opponents in the previous rounds. Braga eliminated Monaco last and Rangers eliminated Dortmund two rounds ago. These are very good achievements for these teams certainly. And it is really hard to predict the result of the first leg now. But I'm feeling like Braga are going to be winning the game by 2-1 and secure a nice advantage.

Yeah, I'm keen on Rangers. They've been rocked in the Scottish league though, losing the title to Celtic inch by inch, and the weekend's defeat would be a hammer blow, after winning so many of those clashes in recent times.

I've stopped betting on them after Gerrard left, odds simply aren't good enough after their performance last season but I think Rangers winning and scoring 2 goals sounds like a value bet for what should be a lively affair. They'll get shit odds at home though if they do that (making Braga the value on return leg).
4752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 04, 2022, 12:30:02 PM
Add me to the BTTS crying party. I was so certain Juve-Inter would get down and dirty, and then they went and joined the 1-nil Italian nostalgia team heh.

That was my final bet and last hope on Sportsbet until next week. Only bet alive now settles end of season. I've not had a zero balance there for a while but it's been weeks of terribly betting (I think even months) this season, in general. Normally I always end up a week with still something but it's a message for me to just chill.

Time to use up my 20 USDT ...
4753  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Building a crypto casino (Rivemont.io) around bitcointalk community: help wanted on: April 04, 2022, 11:47:48 AM
Didn't see this before NotATether, always curious about these types of efforts, having actually been somewhat involved in past endeavours -- none of which, sadly, are still around, at least not in the shape I first knew them as.

The concept of a public-participation bankroll was always the coolest aspect for me -- Bitvest is the only one still doing that, I've participated in that but also in 999 (not for the site but for the in-game exchange bot), Yolodice even for a while, CryptoGames -- have been really lucky to profit pretty well from all of them (overall).

The most interesting was the global bankroll of MoneyPot (the original, not the ones with a recent project thread) -- that one by sheer luck I'd withdrawn my shares just before it rekt'd of the investors.

The glaring issue with those was custodial aspect. Literally handing over funds to the casino and hope they don't run away with it, or have an exploitable bug in one of their casino apps (as in case of MoneyPot, to roughly explain).

With smart contract functionality, I'm actually somewhat surprised there hasn't been a successor to all these casino-managed bankrolls as a form of trustless management. Be super cool if you'd work on that (since you're coding). I imagine it would be much harder for a Bitcoin bankroll, but not impossible (I speak without any sense of coding knowledge).

Would it be useful to get in touch with former operators of related sites? Or you really just want to get at this from scratch?
4754  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Southampton FC Main Sponsor 🚀🚀 on: April 04, 2022, 09:12:24 AM
@MinMan then keep an eye out for the regular promos, there's practically one every few days. Them Arsenal wear especially are going to be collector items. A correct score bet on them against Palace tickles my fancy. 3-1?

@dezoel To each his own, of course I was slightly exaggerating how much I hate internationals but a question does crop up every now and then on why Europe doesn't just do a proper football calendar like the rest of the world (then one big break in between seasons for all internationals). I know it's not as simple as that (seasons play a part I guess, e.g. Africa not nice to play in the hottest months) but part of the problem is how the seasons don't sync. The Americas, Asia, all play a full season in a calendar year (Africa follows Europe I think for the most, but they start really late anyway might as well push it to start the next year).

Anyway, I'll take international over no football any day.
4755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 19M Bitcoins are mined but did you know about the last Bitcoin mined? on: April 04, 2022, 07:15:12 AM
No more merits or I'd shove them around, but yes, technically, franky's right. The final coin will actually never be mined, so it's the penultimate coin that's more predictable.

Not sure I can ever contribute useful thoughts to how the Bitcoin economy can remain interesting for miners at that stage but I do agree that utility is probably a huge part of any future solution. It's a likelihood we'll get to see some significant upgrade or change to Bitcoin's algorithm in our life time (or my life time anyway), but we'd definitely need to continue the trend of increasing utility to motivate that.
4756  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 03, 2022, 06:52:40 PM
Spurs, what can I say? Haven't seen Conte celebrate like that for a while. Or I haven't watched enough Spurs games.

Just read that some supercomputer or whatnot is giving Liverpool 80% chances to lift the title this season. I would put it as 50:50, City with small points advantage and Liverpool with a bit better form.

The same supercomputer predicted Liverpool above Chelsea last year (this was when Chelsea were top) and 5/1 to win Champions League, a bit better than bookies at the time. It's already a bit off though as winner was supposed to end with less than 90 points, that's when I knew it was a dumb computer cause everyone knows City can't do below 90 points heh. Speaking of, how many of you guys look at FiveThirtyEight or Opta to help you bet?

I stick to form, followed by bookie odds (but the odds help me to bet where the value is actually), but I don't pay any attention to Opta. I've seen them put chances to win on 4/1 odds at 2% at kick off.

Alright, Man City didn't slip up. Maybe, I was being a little bit too hopeful. Liverpool didn't really struggle, but Watford gave a good showing. Potentially the league decider next week between Liverpool, and Man City. I guess going into the match as close as it is, probably is the best way. Definitely for neutrals, however as I said I'm going to be bricking it.

Just want to say, Joe Gomez really put in a shift this weekend, and is giving me some hope about the backup options we have for our full backs, especially when he can play CB too. Lets just hope he can stay fit from now on, without any major injuries.

Yeah, and they were in cruise control if we're being fair, while we had a bit more of a fight -- I'm just hoping Salah's frustrations turn into gold next Sunday.

Gomez's star seemed to wane for me in recent times so I'm also really pleased he took responsibility -- even the yellow he earned sort of proved this.

Odds for Liverpool dipped just below 34/10 after the weekend. I'm definitely going to wait for a Super Boost on the day itself, though if we beat Benfica I think the money will pile on Liverpool.

4757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 03, 2022, 04:33:15 PM
So I did overestimate Real, actually, even if they did win, thought they'd do so comfortably. Also didn't watch the match but every non-Spanish report I can find seems to say they were either lucky to win, or didn't deserve to get even a point. Lovely, and a shame I had them on ticket but other teams didn't secure legs.

Still looking forward to final game tonight, got points in pool but too many goals for me to even get close haha, Barca HT lead is the leg I need to sleep with a smile.

4758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stranded UTXO and dust horizon due to potentially high fees in the future on: April 03, 2022, 02:43:11 PM
^^ Thanks for more information and yes, I think the discouragement has worked in general, we don't even see anymore of those dust sprays (that I even got around 2017) from people just spreading their taint randomly but I guess I was wondering about legacy services especially, when it was fairly common to get 1 bits from people here and there. I know I certainly did but consolidated in good time.

And yes, wonder what those 0-fee txs are doing. They'd have to also be large txs (data wise) to indicate dust consolidation. Might even be a pretty cool "community service" for a miner to do, perhaps at some point as a collaboration, to offer free consolidation, perhaps in low network periods, which there always will be -- or perhaps much farther down the line when layer 2s have become the norm. I imagine all that recoverable dust could end up being significant at a user level anyway.

(My Sunday dribbling thoughts anyway, I might DM that guy and see if he still has his issues).
4759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 03, 2022, 01:39:26 PM
^Yeah, watching here. Politano just stole in from a freekick to take it 0-2.

EPL feed shitty and got a nice English feed for the match but man, Atalanta-Napoli was a treat to watch from the kickoff. The football wasn't so beautiful, Atalanta finishing is so puzzling but I kind of enjoy games played at frantic pace and of course, when the players have some sort of skill. First 15 minutes was a blast, barely 15 seconds possession before changing hands, Mertens smash and grab on a counter, kinda a shitty penalty as he definitely knew what he was doing but at least you get that VAR consistency (see England, it's not THAT hard to do). Looked like keeper almost got a hand to the pen but it was cleanly hit, would have gone in anyway am sure.

But man, show me one international game in the past 2 weeks that had THIS intensity... well okay, I exaggerate but whatever Wink

4760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏀NCAA basketball🏀 March Madness 2022🏆-🤾 Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: April 03, 2022, 01:02:26 PM
So both games ended with Overs on the points total, but from the look of it, only Kansas won this with some certainty. 42 years for college-level coach, that's something special even for an outsider like me to hear it. That still the norm there I guess? In football, even at amateur level now, if you get to past a decade as the head coach, and you're a rarity. Sign of the times or just a trend that's been evolving?

Anyway, good luck to you peeps on the finals. Don't see myself putting money down unless a special comes out!
